Macabre Cinema: what do users think?
Sasha Minx: We showed up on the last weekend of opening and it was closed. No signage or anything posted on the website. Others were a bit confused if they were closed or not as well. Well entry next year......
MrChris Beatty: Best place to get scared
Brendon Pride: I went on hollowween this year i had such a blast! I was definitely not let down by anything! The line was quick to get in! The workers where so good I walked out with bruises from getting so scared and running into somethings or falling down backwards! You know they did there job when you fall 100 times while going threw! I think they all deserve a pay raise or something! Good job to everyone involved!!
Reid Jolly: Weak. No action at all, but a lot of stairs.
Maagestic AF: Not many actors or jump scares. You kinda just walk through the haunted house looking at stuff not worth the price you pay, in my opinion.
Tracie Dillard: We went last night. Excited because we heard this was better than the beast. The beast is basically dark and not many actors or scares. Well this was just a walk threw. No one in the rooms. We were basically walking by ourselves. They did a good job in not backing up with people. We paid for an experience and didn't even get that. Not enough actors. Rooms were empty. We saw Jason and Freddie. The clowns were fun. Just very disappointed.
Jerri Johnson: Loved it
Kendo Sans: What it lacks is more energy in the work. Or maybe I'm just a bit older since then. I say it's still good, but I feel it could use a more modern twisted approach to them rooms.
Jade Michaelson: The scariest of all three by far favorite haunted house ever
Laressa Raley: Better than the edge of hell and beast!
Mary Cross: My better half took me here for my 1st ever haunted house I was scared every turn we made the actors was great got alot of screams outta me... Getting to figure out how to get outta some of the rooms was a task but we got it figured out..
Gene: Each room had scenes from your favorite horror movies. Pretty awesome set up.
Amanda Blair: My boyfriends favorite. All the movie scenes are great. It's not as popular as the other west bottoms houses but still just as great to me.
Anthony Batiste: Not qa good as previous years. Not enough people in each room to really scare ya
Jonathan Castillo: It is not completely dark like the beast or edge of hell intresting transition of sets and a spinning tunnel.
Peter D: Not as scary as The Beast or Edge of Hell, wish there was more classic films in the haunted house but you only saw characters such as Michael and Freddy for like 5 seconds. Overall not bad but if you went your moneys worth definitely go to the other two houses.
Betsy Morson: 5 stars because it’s amazing compared to haunted houses in other cities. However, it’s nowhere near as cool as the beast or edge of hell. We took our time and went through it in about 20 min. This one should be cheaper than the beast for sure. We still had fun and it was cute, not super scary though.
Kyle Goff: I want to start off this review by saying for one I don't do this often and two I do enjoy this haunted house. That being said I just went to the Macabre Cinema and The Beast this past weekend. I and my friends would rate the Beast about a 7/10. Solid haunted house. Macabre Cinema however would get a 2/10. I've been to the Macabre cinema multiple times since they opened back in the 00s and I always had a good time and even rated them better than the Beast and Edge of Hell. But this time was unfortunately different. We went through multiple rooms with no actors or anything. Just leisurely walked through the haunted house with minimal interaction with any "horror movie monsters". I know times are rough right now with hiring people but they should of known better than to open this up. I hope they get more people hired so people aren't wasting their time and money just walking thru an empty warehouse with decorations
Danielle Bunny: Worked here and have gone through here. Made awesome memories.
Jakub Bujak: super
Aaron N: Unfortunately not as good as it used to be. A lot of the neat parts that were there a few years ago were gone or disabled. Wayyyyy too many people in there at once, and often with flashlights on ruining the effect. It feels like a lot of cattle being pushed down the hallway of a less than interesting museum. That being said, the preformers were excellent, kudos to them and their hard work. The rest makes it not worth the multi-hour wait anymore though.

Screenland Armour Theatre: what do users think?
Aaron Gnirk: Great movie theater owned by two cinema loving brothers who screen new releases, retro, cult classics and local filmmaker features.
Brandy Shepherd: I loved the atmosphere and that I can see older movies in a theatre environment again
Kris Winters: Easily one of my favorite places in NKC.
Clayton Johnson: Been here plenty of times and I always enjoy the experience. Going tonight to see redline
Ddarkest Knight: Fair.
Carl Bobitsky: I've been coming here for a few years now ever since my sister started taking me here. The people who work here are always so friendly and I love them. Having alcohol on their menu is also a bonus. I just wish they weren't so expensive, but despite that, they're always my first choice when I want to go to the theatres.
Adam Kammerer: Love this place. Check out the outdoor movies this summer too. Always a good time and great atmosphere.
John F: It was great to see a foreign film here when I didn't think I'd be able to see it at all. The theatre was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend! I love going to Screenland Armour Theatre in North Kansas City. It is a historic and independent theatre that shows a variety of movies, from classics to indie films. The seats are comfortable and the sound and picture quality are excellent. They have a Harkness Iris 4K Screen in their main theater, which is amazing. They also have a Tapcade where you can play vintage arcade games and enjoy 100 rotating craft beers⁴⁵. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. Screenland Armour is a gem of a theatre that I highly recommend to anyone who loves movies and fun.
Konekeviv: Best theater overall. My kids and I enjoy everytime we go.
Jesse Fecher: I am not sure why I haven’t wrote a review here yet, but I absolutely love the theater, especially for fun events like classic horror films, Friday night, frights, and Shocktober!
J F: Love every experience we've had here for years
Karrol and David Combs: The volume was so loud that we left after a few minutes. The staff tried to help but was unsuccessful. We did get a refund.
Damon Winters: My favorite theatre. Easily
Laura Selden: Love this place! So much character and supporting local is always great
Sherman Breneman: My go to theater!
Dante Reese: Great menu for concessions and quaint theatre
christopher mccarthy: Amazing every time
Mandy McKinney: Our favorite place for movies. Locally-owned, affordable pricing, great event, a fun outdoor series in the summer. They play everything- blockbusters, indie, classics.
Jenna Munoz: Always a great experience!
Cory Johnston: Fantastic movie experience
Melissa Olson: Just my favorite movie place. Reasonable prices

AMC Ward Parkway 14: what do users think?
Nicholas Mulcahy: Average AMC, inside the mall so little awkward to get around but has the movies you would want with the recliner chairs too.
vick swishem_3s: My first impression of the theater room ten was subpar. I walked in and you could clearly tell the theater was not cleaned after a couple movies. Popcorn on the floor, recliner chairs out blocking the aisle unoccupied, the red leather seats felt sticky like a sweaty person was seated in it before me, the theater smell like a cardio section of a gym, and on top of that they charge more money for food than the theater I normally use.I normally don’t come to this theater and will never come back. Just based off the first appearance and smells. I normally go to B&B Theaters up north in Liberty and Kansas City off north Broadway. They have better seats, cleaner, and a neutral smelling environment. The food is not as overpriced either. I’m going to avoid AMC Ward Pkwy until they get it together.
Audrey Saunders: Always clean, great service and love the seats that let out! 👍🏽
Staceyrene Daniels: It was clean the employees where extremely helpful n patient.
Ana Alvarado: I would like to address what happened today I had gone to the movies to watch the fast x movies and they were Id checking apparently but let a bunch of minors in and as soon as I show them my Id they were cool with letting me go in but not the 17 years old I was with but they let in a bunch of minors before them and I thought that was very unfair. The white Caucasian women with red colored hair was very rude and acted like she had authority over everyone I did not like her tone one bit and I did not feel welcomed one bit this happened today around 6:34 in the afternoon I hope that women is addressed about this issue.I would also like to receive a SINCERE APOLOGY!!!!!!!
JK M: Probably will not go to this location again. Recliners did not work and it was a bummer to have to deal with kids fighting over the one chair that did work. Theater did nothing to make it right. If im going to spend an arm and a leg to go to a movie, im going to spend it at a theater that can guarantee a good experience.
Ralph F. Munyan: Great theaters, but some of the staff clearly wanted to be somewhere else.
Sydney Savage: I enjoy AMC Theaters at Ward Parkway because it's not far from where I 6 most movie theaters. As a dtubs member, I get to enjoy $5 Tuesday showings even after 6 pm. You can also pre-order food/snacks and drinks to be delivered when ordering tickets online. Recently, I saw an advance showing of The Fast 10 at 30% off the day before it came out.
Taylor DeFraties: Popcorn has always been sitting out for a while never hot
Victoria Rose: Our chairs in the theater were broken, which is a huge bummer when you pay high dollar for the experience. But I like that simple items like popcorn were grab n go.
F8ality88: Wow! This place has changed significantly since I was last here! Technology is more advanced, but I heard there's discounts on Tuesdays! Well done!
Jake Broce: Good theater. It feels clean and new. The chairs are very comfortable, though they are not built for really tall people. Would come again
Randy Nevens: Convenient clean, not too crowded and the best seats in the area!
Ashley Jackson: Ghetto n unorganized
Josh Day: What a joke! You are expected to buy your tickets in advance and they charge you to do so. Hopefully others will see how ridiculous this is and skip going to see movies at places like this.
Stacey Rhymes: I love the seats and the sounds of a real theater! The food is okay too.
Sara Muleski: Loved the movie I went to see. Love the recliner seats. Love the popcorn and pop I got. I just love this location because it's close to home.
Austin Lopez: cheese Nachos cold hot
Apes atAMC and Around the World: took some of my Football players to see Mario Brothers!! Thanks Coach!
James “JLTWERKS” Travison: Great theater with comfortable seats. Sound was awsome and really helped sell the show.
Linda Escareno-Williams: My husband and I went to see John Wick, our chairs did not work,& afterwards no one to be found to complain..!👠

B&B Theatres KC Extreme Screen Union Station: what do users think?
PeaxhDreamz TM: Pretty great theater and respectful workers! Although I'd say if you don't do good with motion sickness too much I'd recommend sitting in the back
Aaron Kirby: 7 story screen and sound were incredible. Will definitely come back!
Keanu Whitfield: Hgëbnddfghhjklzñnnett typical act stop
Nicholas P: My favorite theater to watch a big summer movie. Limited number of titles at any one time, but they look great when they are there.
Theresa swank: Love this screen and the price
JoBeth Davis: Saw the new Mario movie with the grandkids, first time ever there, wonderful experience. Parked very close walked right in. It was so much fun.
Howard Cohen: Very nice theater with a huge screen and great audio. The seats were very comfortable too and the popcorn was hot and fresh. I dinged them 1 star because the snack bar was closed and they had a temporary table set up with very limited options. If the snack bar is open next time I'll update my post and give them back the star.
Scot Pendergraft: Largest screen in the midwest!! It's 4 stories tall, lots of seating and just remodeled the concession stand, plus it's in Union Station which is one of my absolute favorite places to be in Kansas city!
adam eisman: love the huge screen!
Ashley Jones: Comfortable seating
First Street Software.: Always a good experience, large screen, nice seats. Good prices for the movies, all concessions are outrageous as others now. So disappointing.
Deborah Peek: Clean, easy access, very good.
Tracy Thayer: No warning of temporary concession stand. No butter or salt for burnt popcorn. Guy at the counter was a complete jerk, too.
Donna Werner: Not a bad seat in the house.
vallie guillory: The big screen adds another dimension to great movies!
Susan Payne: HUGE screen. Very convenient for me to access in my wheelchair. Highly recommend catching a movie here when you can.
Maureen Kelly: Great space for a movie! You can almost be in the film
Jason Giesler: Had a great time watching Top Gun here. Great looking screen
Carlos Torres: $5 tickets to first run movies - un eatable deal. Great projection and sound, and cheap concessions that are just as high quality as regular theaters. Proce more than makes up for paying for parking. Awesome activoty to end a Science City day with, too.
Jeff S26: Screen is very big. People are packed in the seats, hard to get in and out to bathroom. Not clear we're to purchase tickets. Price of ticket was very fair.
Jeff Hamons: Great place to watch Top gun

Tivoli Cinemas: what do users think?
Wall Flower: They show the best independent and old films. The films here show new perspectives and lives of characters you don't normally get to see. Lots of depth and meaning to these carefully currated films.
Shawn Laudun: Why did they leave the Westport area?
Michele Wagaman: We came down to the plaza last week to look at a watch for an anniversary gift, Amanda was very knowledgeable and helpful, decent selection and great service. Thanks again, M
Aiyana5807simms Simms11122007: My class went there to see underground road
S: I have always loved the Tivoli and so was relieved and thrilled to hear that it would not be permanently closing, but would be moving to the Nelson! However, I regret to say that I doubt I, or any of my friends, will be using this new theater often if at all.First, there’s the parking. $10 to park at a museum is, if expensive, to be expected. $10 to park to then go to pay and see a movie...is honestly ridiculous. Beyond that, it makes seeing these amazing movies far less accessible for the average person, as it adds so much to the price. I honestly thought, “surely movie goers will be able to get their parking validated!” And walked in and asked about it politely when I bought my movie tickets. The answer was a very blunt, “No.” it makes me sad that people who work hard for their money and want the treat of going out to see a movie will be discouraged from seeing the wonderful selection of movies that the Tivoli has to offer due to this added burden of cost. The day I went to the movie it was cold and snowy out, and there really was no other option besides parking in that garage.Beyond that, because the theater is located in a museum, there is a strict policy of absolutely no food or beverages allowed, which I get...except couldn’t that rule be bent for just water? Or something? I mean, we’re sitting and watching a movie in the auditorium, not smearing our dirty hands all over paintings in other parts of the building.Honestly, the experience just left me a bit sad and disappointed, knowing that I will likely not be returning to see another movie at the Tivoli. I really appreciate what they are trying to do and the support they got from the Nelson with the reopening. But this just really, unfortunately, misses the mark for the average person. I’m sure many wealthy, older people in town will still enjoy their experiences here.
c l: Saw the documentary Fantastic Fungi. Great to have a venue for smart, outside-the-mainstream films in Kansas City. Comfortable cloth seats, & a more intimate feel than a regular / chain movie theater. The Nelson-Atkins Museum has a free parking lot just to the north / towards the east, but it’s small, so was full because of the moviegoers, & I had to parallel park on a side street.
Stephanie Heiffus: I have now been to the Tivoli 3 times since it opened at the Nelson. I love the location; as a member the parking is free! While at first I thought the times were not the best for me, they have actually been perfect. My only wish is that you could take some water into the auditorium and that maybe some day they might make the seats a bit more comfortable. My boys & men are on the tall side and most of the seating is a squeeze. Otherwise it is perfect - thank you Jerry.
Joe Stanton: I loved Tivoli Cinema in Westport (except for those stairs!) and hated when it closed there. But for all who haven't heard yet, it is reborn at Nelson Atkins Art Museum. It is a new treasure-a phoenix risen from the ashes. Saw a movie there today and am thrilled with the new location and pleased to see a crowd. Yeah! I'll be back!
Mackenzie Brisben: This will forever and always be my fav theatre. Thank you for introducing me to Oscar shorts and having a cute voting system after. Thanks for always having Wes Anderson films and cool documentaries. Feels very retro and very cute. Love.
Evelyn Case: Whoohoo now @ the Nelson Gallery
travis black: Good
Justin Brownsfield: My favorite place for independent films.
Tim Phillips: Closed now!!!
Alex Marban: It's a real shame that this place is closing. Loved the menu
CJ: Fare thee well, Tivoli! You were a driving force for many years in forming my love of film.
Shá D.: Wonderful place for independent film. Sad it's closing. Streaming has made it difficult for the little guys and soon all theaters. In a few years, we'll all be forced to never leave home, and a night out or social interaction will be a thing of the past. As they about are now anyway due to smart phones.
Julian: One of the finest establishments in Kansas City history. It will be missed. Thank you for everything.
J. Micheal W.: Unfortunately, this Thursday will be just day for this theater -- it is closing. Sad. So many years in KC for independent films, etc.
Brent Bettis: Nice, nostalgic, not crowded.
Bryan Wohlwend: Love this theater. They play great art house and indie films you can’t find elsewhere in KC.
Diana Cuthbert: Excellent admission fee for seniors.
