Brenna: Valerie and Carly were wonderful and very professional! Carly did my microderm and Valerie waxed my eyebrows and gave me a massage. Overall a very pleasant experience. (I believe your fire extinguishers are due for a re-service though)

Stephanie Brooker: I'd like to say yesterday was a good experience but it was horrible. Courtney accused my daughter of having head lice, after I did a treatment I found absolutely nothing. I want contacted about this experience I've never been treated so horrible in my life. I also decided that this was the straw that broke the camel's back I will no longer give my hard earned money to this business. No I'm not recommending this place to anyone. She didn't have lice she doesn't have it, the director made it sound like he didn't believe me.

Grandma's Angels: From the very start I was highly skeptical about how my hair would turn out knowing that this young lady named rosaldo had never put a perm in anyone's hair a day in her life, but surprisingly with the guidance of her supervisor Janice everything turned out beautiful!!, I was really very happy.. I even left them both a tip a piece.. they deserve way more..
Gretta Moore: Ma'Lisha has done my facials for 3 or 4 months now. She is very good at what she does, is very professional, and is very knowledgeable. She explains each step of my facial and gives great detailed information on my skin care. I can see the difference and improvement in my skin!! Love her work!!!

Dee Akinwumi: I have had great experiences , with MaLisha Carter as , she’s does exceptional On my facial service. I Usually don’t do this but , I recently received a facial and somehow contracted Covid , I am angry and frustrated as I have a family , who now I cannot see , because the work environment that summit salon provides isn’t well kept nor clean for us (clients). I RECOMMEND summit salon invest in taking the time to clean and sanitize there work spaces for safety of each client and Therapist that comes through the door. I pray and hope nobody experiences the same thing. Very unsafe.

Cameron Stude: I went this academy on Barry Rd. Went in for highlights and a cut. I told them I had a previous perm, and color, which damaged my hair. I asked them if the highlights would be too much for my hair to handle. I know this is a student salon, but the instructor assured me it’d be okay. Needless to say, when she started taking out the foils, my hair was stringy and started falling out with the foils. My hair became even more damaged, even after the cut. I asked if I could get a refund if I just shaved my head (which was over $100). They said no because I’ve already used the products. Then we decided a short pixie cut would be best, so I brought up an inspo picture. They did not do what I asked for the cut, I really didn’t like it.My experience was very disappointing, especially not receiving a refund.I drove down the streets to Great Clips and got a classy shave that actually looks great on me.
Pecas Coco: DO NOT ATTEND! UNPROFESSIONAL!I was in contact with Shai about enrolling in April and it went onto possibly attending in May. However due to the lack of communication I have decided to withdraw my application and continue to look elsewhere for a more friendly and helpful facility. When I was on the phone with Shai I explained to her that I needed help with my FAFSA in which she said “I will send you a video” I then went to the school to speak to her and get a better understanding on what I needed to get the ball moving. I was told by the girls at the front desk that she was in and when they went to get her they returned with a piece of paper with Shai’s phone number and was told to call cause she was not in. When I finally got in touch with her she told me I will not be able to start school until July. I explained to her that I would have liked for better communication between us for my enrollment and informed her that this has been the most stressful situation I have been in. I received no assistance in anyway shape or form from her and when I told her I appreciate her time and that I will be withdrawing my application she simply hung up. That to me screams unprofessional and I’m glad I did not follow through with enrollment.

Kristin Kandt: The prices are great but it's hit or miss here. Unless you have an easy cut, or want an out of sight hair color, this place may not be for you. For older professional women, this is not the place. They aren't trained in classic hairstyles from the 80s or 90s, and a good professional cut is hard to come by, especially in layers. This is for young women who like shaved heads, or partial shaved, or as stated, way out hair colors. This is fine. But an older professional person will likely not find a fit here.

Makenzie Alaina: I had a really good experience with one of the instructors, and the two students who did my hair!! But unfortunately, had a completely different experience with one of the other instructors. I'm rating it a 5 because ultimately it worked out, and as a whole the salon was awesome and such a great environment!! But there was one instructor who made the students take out foils too early because she wanted to get home, it left my hair brassy since it didn't process all the way. She didn't let them cut or style my hair either, but the big one was that she tried to send me home with wet hair even though it was freeeeeezing that day. The students were awesome and insisted on drying it, but I was really disappointed with her customer service and professionalism.

K “KHO75”: This is a great place to get an affordable haircut. Services are provided by students but the Teachers are right there. I actually think you get exceptional service here as before they even begin you discuss your wants with the students and teachers, ideas and recommendations are given for your style or color, plus they go over the expected cost prior to any services being rendered. I have always gone with their recommendations and have never been disappointed. The School does provide other beauty service besides hair, all at an affordable price. It does take a bit longer than at a regular salon as the teachers need to review the work the students are doing but that's just guarantees that your getting the care and style you want. Haven't been to a regular salon since I found this place, wish I could give more than 5 stars, definitely recommend!

Yasmin Mendoza: One star is being generous I went to get my hair dyed purple hair and showed pictures they charged me $210 and I was not happy I asked to get it fixed and they wanted to charge me $50 and I don’t think that’s fair but I was going to go anyways I but it just didn’t seem fair so I asked for a refund and nothing not even a penny and they won’t even try to fix it and now are refusing to fix it, they even banned me so if you I want your hair done a certain way I don’t recommend going here sometimes it’s even cheaper if you go to a professional and they are just plain rude about trying to fix it or even try to talk to you about their rules and all this so for everyone’s sake please don’t go out here anymore or don’t even try to go (I had Morgan)

N M: I saw Michelle yesterday. Let me just say I can understand why her clientele is massive. She's absolutely incredible. She treats you like a human being and not like another number in her chair. Demi was also amazing to visit and work with. At no time during my appointment did I feel pressured to buy anything, or make any decisions that made me feel uncomfortable. She not only gives me the red hair of my dreams, but also informs me with everything I need to know about hair and what she’s doing. As a local beauty service provider, I was referred to her by another local, highly respected beauty artist. I had my 1st appointment with her after spending the last few years looking for a new, competent stylist and... I have finally found her! I am a curly girl, a blonde, and also a local spray tan artist who gets really brassy easily. I came in for a curl cut only and left with a cut, and a glaze that exceeded my expectations... all in just ONE HOUR! What?! Now, let me just explain, I have been to some of the best, highly recommended salons in the metro, all of which hijacked my entire day, told me my blonde hair was "a journey that would require several visits to achieve and maintain" wayyyy overcharged me, and left me highly disappointed by time all was said and done. NOT today. In fact, it was the first time a stylist did not insult my hair, tell me how damaged and dry it was, or make me feel bad. She listened to what I wanted and what my concerns were, and she did not act as though she knew more about my hair than I do when I explained my past experience. My hair looks fabulous and healthy, it shines, my color look better than it has in over a year. I am also pleasantly surprised in how reasonable their pricing is as when I was checking out I braced myself for a shock that did not happen! Thank you for a top notch experience today! I came early for my appointment and got to start early, didn't have to wait at all. Chelsea did an amazing job shampooing and conditioning my hair. I asked for feathered layers and curtain bangs and she took time through each step of the haircut to make sure it was shaping up to be exactly how I wanted. Chelsea also took her time and had exceptional attention to detail while styling my hair. She did a fantastic job. I will definitely be back here for my next haircut.

I'm so unhappy.

The students up there work as a team and motivate each other. If you want a good cut go to James it was another guy that did good to but idk his name.

Robert M: The young man that cut my hair was very nice and outgoing, but didn’t do a good job at all on my haircut. It was a #2 all around...literally one of the simplest cuts a person can do. I’ve even done this cut on myself a bunch times without any issue, but decided to try this place, I won’t make that mistake again. I know these guys have to learn, but this simple cut isn’t rocket science. The only reason I gave two stars is because the guy was very friendly and seems to care, although more practice will likely do him good.
