Marlon Anderson: Hours on website show open at 12pm on Fridays, google shows open 1pm. Waited until 130pm nobody showed up or answered phone. Drove from the other side of town on a long lunch break after this place was recommended by a friend.

Jack Rouse: Great place. Worked with the owner Ryan Wurtz for several years before going to college. I learned more than I ever could have imagined. They also have a wealth of instruments and equipment available.
Juliet Hawley: I’ve been taking violin lessons with Adam for over a year- Adam is an expert musically- he has a gift for guiding his students in areas of their strengths; and at the same time challenging them to be strong in the fundamentals. Great teacher, great experience- and speaking from the perspective of an Adult learner, finding the right studio and the right teacher has made all the difference.

Sophia is an amazing instructor and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn a new musical instrument or improve their current skill set. While I’ve only taken lessons with Sophia, I’ve also met some of the other instructors and they have all been so nice and welcoming. Ryan has been great in helping me fix and improve my guitar. These lessons are amazing and I highly recommend Brookside Guitars.

Stacy Kearney: My daughter has been taking ukulele lessons with Ryan for 2 1/2 years and he is the perfect teacher for her. His laid-back and encouraging style works well for our family. The shop is inviting and the ukulele we purchased is a great instrument. When there were problems with the supplier sending the incorrect bags, Ryan stayed on top of things until we had the correct one.
Josh Rowland: Ryan is building an amazing guitar store and community in Brookside. The new electric guitars he’s stocking from Reverend and D’Angelico are so cool— great to finally have these in KC. We need strong boutique guitar stores in KC, and BKS is stepping up. I have been taking lessons from Ryan for a while and I appreciate his patience, and his encouragement.
