We’ve been to Greece our fair share of times and love Greek food, and a lot of foods are similar in Turkey and Greece.Everything we had was phenomenal and very authentic. There were a few things I haven’t experienced in the US and was so thankful to taste again. Love and care clearly goes into the food and we will be back.

Celeste: We enjoyed our lunch here with a cocktail. The server kind of rushed us through and there were a lot of empty tables so I didn't understand why. The lamb burger was a little dry. M A: We ate there twice. First time service and food were good. Second time service was bad and food was at best mediocre. We asked on our second visit that we are specifically not seated at the table next to the kitchen where we were sat the first time. This was exactly the table they sat us at again! When we asked the host who is also the manager whether they saw the request on Ooen table, he acknowledged they did and smugly said that was the only table they can give us. On food, we got the zucchini crisps appetizer and stuffed eggplant for the Mai course. The zucchini was not cooked well enough, and the eggplant was extremely oily to the point where it was not edible.Bottom line is seems like the place started with strong potential and got arrogant and sloppy. We wouldn’t go again.

Tori Robb: The paros chips are our favorite app here! We’ve had the lobster pasta, prawns (weekend special), salmon, and the Chilean sea bass. So far every thing has been very flavorful but the Chilean sea bass is my favorite! Their baklava dessert is *chef’s kiss* and their espresso martinis are some of my faves. Mandy Dugan: By far the best restaurant in KC. The service was comparable to Perse and the food has been consistently astounding. The chef double checks each dish before the food comes out and with an open view kitchen, it’s fun to watch too.

Andrea Vaden: My daughter chose to go here for her 18th birthday- they made it so special! She got a sparkler candle, a special plate with the year on it and one to break! The food was to die for and the service was amazing. This was the second time we have been there and I’ve never been disappointed. Everything was fresh and delicious!! Bradley Weir (BWeir): A great little Greek place. Their food is authentic and very good. It's very traditional looking inside. Dimly lit and comfortable. If you've never seen the owners, you will by looking at any of the 5000 pictures on the wall. The host was great. Attentive, yet gave us space. The lamb wasn't as tender, but we also showed up as soon as the doors opened, so I wouldn't expect that to be the norm. The serving sizes were great and the kids' choice was still authentic! Thank You for that! Overall good experience and will definitely come by again.

As for the seating you're packed in like sardines and can't even talk over the subpar "musician" who pretended to play the songs and constantly try to get the crowd to hype everything up. Server came like twice one being to order and two to bring food. We asked for the check and it took forever like 10 minutes just to get it. Price was way too high for reheated frozen food. Also lots of kids just running around not for us.
Kazdan Booker: this place is far past its prime if it ever had one. we came in with a group of 7 and not a single person enjoyed their obviously prepped and just heated meal, I'd be willing to bet there's more microwave use in this kitchen than your own. It is egregious to charge up to $20 or more for something more resembing a church casserole potluck than greek food. the tables are so cramped together you can't help but bump into the people behind you or hear everything they say. the "musician" if you're willing to bend the definition barely knew the songs he was playing, when he was actually playing and not just mimicking. he barely knew even the words to sweet Caroline. he did promise eventually a bellydancer, but we never saw one and then brought a guy on for karaoke.this is no longer a Greek restaurant, it is a gimmick tourist trap, with too cramped spacing and hardly even serviceable food that will leave you hungry unless you're just willing to actually finish your meal.You will feel like you're being held hostage to feed the ego of those actively involved in this business until the moment they give you the check.

Ayman Nimer: Edit: The owner responded with "food prices have gone up tremendously". What food has gone up tremendously? The ground beef is still $5 a pound. Eggs went up a dollar. Milk is still around $3.50 a gallon. So I would like to know what food prices went up tremendously because I keep seeing restaurant owners say this. The only food price that has gone up tremendously is YOUR FOOD! You are not raising prices to cover costs on your end you are raising prices to make more profit. Restaurants are making record profits but you guys want to play the victim lol funnyFood is extremely overpriced and taste average. They want to charge $20 and up for entrees but the portion sizes are small and the food just tasted all right. All together I spent $50 just on myself. Sarah Reznikoff: Wonderful food, huge portions, and cheerful quick service. Hungry athletic 17yo son and I ordered a gyro bowl, chicken gyro sandwich, and a side of falafels for dinner and had enough left for my breakfast. We arrived right at closing but they cheerfully served us anyway and the falafels must have been freshly cooked because they were particularly amazing. The place is not fancy but five stars for the atmosphere because it was so welcoming.

Tracy Hawk: I stopped in on my way to visit family out of state. I’m from Ohio and I can tell ya that the customer service was a hundred times better than anywhere in Ohio. The owner was in the store and recommended the classic gyro, omg I have never had a gyro melt in my mouth like that. The taz sauce was so fresh and creamy that I had to get a side of it with some pita bread for the drive back home.

Jean Goss: Edit in response to owner: There may be a sign on the register but I placed my card in a free standing square not attached to the register. 4% also seems higher than the standard charge of 1 to 3.5% for using a card. The food I ordered was tasty and the only employee I saw was very nice. However, there will be 4% upcharge on your bill when using your debit card. More reasons to go back to cash.

Lee Running: Update: 5/17/23. Ate here for the 1st time since last year and the new ownership appaears to be failing badly. I gave it a 5 last time, now it is a 1 ( or less). I've never seen a restaurant's quality deteriorate so greatly after a change of ownership. The gyros I got today was god awful. Less than half the meat as under the old ownership, terrible tzatziki sauce and tiny tomatos slices (slices!). Beware: this not the old Gyros Grill.Best gyros I've found in Kansas City and at a very reasonable price. Only place I go now for gyros. And quite friendly staff.

Jim Beach: Absolutely great food! We had the Dolmades, Greek Gyro and Quesadilla. #YUM 😋 Elaine helped us go over the menu after a pleasant welcome and greeting! She went over the details of particular items that we were not familiar with, the quesadilla for example, and politely helped us pronounce items after we butchered the name. Elaine was very sweet! I was in a rush as I was trying to get to work and didn't have time to finish the meal so I asked a woman, whom I thought worked there, if she could get us a couple boxes. She obliged and was very friendly. I found out, later, that she was the owner's mother. The food was incredible and I cannot wait to go back and try other items on the menu!
I Zeilinger: New owners recently who are still friendly and provided a good atmosphere. I went after a rush from the draft so they were out of somethings, but I think onces everything stabilizes and a normal amount of people visit this will be a consistent place to go to.

Behnaz n: Just to respond back, the food was ordered at your restaurant IN PERSON and I live only 5 minutes away from your restaurant.The food simply isn’t the same anymore since the original owners of this place and never will be. Quality, portion and taste wise also over priced. Ordered about $45 worth of food for two people and very disappointed. One of the orders was the Philly Gyro which was very soggy/oily and the pit bread was all wet falling apart by the time I got home and nothing close to the original Philly gyro I used to get. Portion of the food on both orders was very poor for the price charged and the rice was super dry and disgusting. Don’t even get me started on the sambusa’s that costs $10 for 4 very small pieces. Won’t be coming back for sure.

Raymond Brown: Food is good, great market. This location has signage that states they are open until 7pm, online states open until 7pm. They are NOT currently open until 7pm (which is fine seemed not busy), but being rude about closing an hour and half early really isn’t necessary.

Sara Lutes: Sadly we weren’t able to shop here or try the shawarma because of how rude the staff is.We were planning on shopping here after grabbing coffee next door but changed our plans when someone who works there came out and started yelling at us for parking in the lot and not immediately going in to their store. The lot was almost completely empty so we were not preventing someone else from parking and shopping while we got our coffees.

I mistakenly chose pick up instead of delivery when I ordered thru Uber Eats so I called the restaurant to tell them that Uber can’t fix it & if there was any way that they could deliver & unfortunately they said no. I said well, just cancel the drink & I’ll ride my bike to pick it up & hung up the phone. Immediately I get a call back from them saying that they will deliver it to me with no (?)charge! I tried to tip the driver a generous tip but he would not accept it..That was GREAT service.
Peter Soto: This place has been around for forever. I used to come here when I rented a room in prairie village and now that I own a home in Brookside I still come. My point being that this place is for everyone. The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. The location is very Central to a lot of the Waldo, Brookside, Prairie Village neighborhoods. It's really hilarious that this place is in a gas station.The last time I was here they did not have rice, but the gyro plate was really good. The dolmas are fire and their tzatziki and feta are on point. You really can't go wrong for this kind of fast food, because it doesn't really feel like fast food. I love a Mediterranean restaurant in this neighborhood. No wonder it has been around for so long.Thank you to the nice folks who run this place. I really enjoy a locally run restaurant and these people do a great job. I come here probably once a month with my family and sit on the back patio. On a nice day, this is one of the more pleasant places to eat in the area and I suggest it to all of my friends.
