Patrick Smith: This place sure has grown on me over the last month. I keep finding myself drawn to hang out with a drink and my laptop on my off days because of the welcoming atmosphere. The bartenders are great, the establishment is clean, the other patrons are friendly. If you happen to catch one of the shows in the evenings, you won't regret it. They are a blast! Buddy also just had big screen TV's installed for the football games, so now you can watch from anywhere in joint and have a good seat!

Zach Kilgas: I came here after seeing event fliers posted out around KC. I arrive and it’s $10 a person to enter, which was not mentioned on their flier. I was excited about the event but nowhere in KC is charging a ten dollar cover. Ended up going home instead of paying.

Logan Hatfield: Love the family atmosphere for all LGBTQ community and an amazing new DJ on Friday nights for dancing. This place also holds the longest running, mainly drag king show, in the mid-west of almost 16 years. This show comes with the most amazing emcee I have ever seen on their Wednesday night drag show. Only time there is a cover charge is on Saturday night if you come in after 10pm. It is a 21+ bar with a wide variety different drag shows throughout the week.

Vince Kramer: Normally I would rate it much higher, but after going there to dance the night away, I paid $10 to get in and listen to Indian music. Nothing wrong with Indian music but not for a Saturday night at a place that is considered one of the better dance places in town. Even the drag show was not great with more drag kings than queens. Not a good night.

Joey Postema: Kheaton is such a good bartender. We’re visiting from San Diego. He had us laughing instantly and he gave us so much helpful information about visiting Kansas City. We felt so welcomed and comfortable at his bar in a city we’ve never been to. We bartend back home, but didn’t mention it until much later and he still treated us like family. It didn’t hurt that he definitely has the prettiest smile in this town, but it wasn’t just that which got me to write out some appreciation. Good hospitality is hard to find. He’s got it on point. Kiel Vargas-Belcher: Kheaton has truly made my experience in Kansas City the best. He is warm, friendly and inviting. He has gone above and beyond in making me and my friends feel welcome in a new city. I wish I could feel so welcome in every city I visit. The world would only be better with more Kheatons in it! I know I will be missing him not being a local bartender when I head home to California.

Chris Godfrey: A stable for Kansas City, the staff is really friendly, and drinks are inexpensive. The downside is that it feels a bit routine, both the music and acts, and can be seen as a bit dingy

Johnny Henry: I went to sidestreet bar crossdressed for my first time dressed in public after a life of dreaming about it. I was super nervous going out dressed for my first time. Truly wish I had someone to go with me. After the owner answered my question if it was crossdresser friendly I decided to brave it. I could not have felt more comfortable in this bar. Thanks for giving me the courage and making me feel comfortable. I plan on going again.

keithan arrant: We were visiting from Texas. The bar wasn’t busy but that didn’t matter. It was a very inclusive atmosphere. We had more fun with the small crowd than we could have had with a packed house. The employees were out of this world. The bartender working should teach customer service, he was that good. I wanted to give him a shout out, but the whiskey drained my memory of his name. I also want to thank him for the BBQ restaurant recommendation.

I was pleased with the bar games and I took a peak at the outdoor patio and it was amazing. Granted we did go on a Tuesday night but you could see how full it could get in the summer months! The only thing I would say is maybe order some better darts otherwise it’s a very nice gay sports bar!

I'm also extremely happy they are taking a stand to protect their staff and patrons by requiring vaccination cards during the Covid-19 pandemic. Keep it up!
