Magnolia Venue & Urban Garden: what do users think?
Jena Workman: It was a beautiful venue and the staff worked very hard to make sure everyone was happy and had a great time! I didn't take many pictures though! Sorry!
Carley Swan: I had my wedding reception at Magnolia in early November, and couldn't have asked for a better, more beautiful space. The exposed brick and light fixtures naturally elevate the space and make it one of a kind. We also went with their planning service "Whitebird Events". Deb and Ava were amazing to work with and helped me execute my vision perfectly. When I saw the venue for the first time after arriving from the ceremony I was in awe of how perfect it looked. They were very reasonable and easy to work with. It was so nice to trust who I was working with to take care of the small details (and do a great job) so I didn't have to stress over them. Not to mention their vendor recommendations were 10/10. We also went through Deb and "Whitebird Floral" for our floral. She created modern pieces that perfectly complimented the rest of the "vibe". She was also super understanding and easy to work with when I changed my mind on a few pieces the week of the wedding! I fall more and more in love with the floral every time I look back at photos. I highly recommend.
KC Photo booth Co: We love being apart of weddings at Magnolia Venue! Such a beautiful venue, and awesome team. Can't wait to get back there and do more weddings. We also appreciate all the parking they have for us vendors who have to unload and load.Highly suggest Magnolia!
Kelley McGuire: Speaking as someone who has a lot of experience with planning and running large non-profit events, I'd like to share our positive experience with the Magnolia Venue. Deborah and her team were straightforward, responsive, and professional. I wasn't able to be as involved with the event as I normally am, plus it was being planned long distance. So, having this group of event planners was wonderful. It was helpful to have their advice and strong negotiating skills with vendors. The creative aspect was also positive.
Denise Seley: We had the best experience at Magnolia for our event. The entire process was smooth and the Magnolia team was easy to work with, kind and thorough. This is a beautiful venue and Deb has amazing taste and great ideas. Our event was gorgeous and everyone complimented us. We did not have to worry about anything!
Toni Scheihing: Such great people to work with, great experience, wonderful venue.
Christian Vincent: My niece, Baylee had her wedding and reception at Magnolia and I cannot say enough great things about this place and their staff. The planner did an amazing job checking in on us, answering questions, …
Heather Szumierz: Very nice venue !!
Gerardo Cornejo: Incredible venue! Parking across the street was easy!
Vicki Boyd: They have a great staff to come out tell people where to park so they don't get tickets beautiful 😉
Taylor Hickey: Awesome venue for a wedding.
A. Hodson: Pros:*Beautiful venue, string lights, bar, exposed brick, ceremony space*Great location between downtown KC and river marketCons: SEVERAL listed below*PARKING- On the wedding day, there were only about 15 spots available at the venue for guests.*SET UP-The florist tried to get an early start on the day and arrived at the venue at 10AM instead of the prearranged time of 12PM. However, the doors of the venue were locked, and the florist could not get inside. When the bride texted Deb, the venue’s owner and wedding coordinator, to ask if the florist could be let in early to drop off flowers, Deb told the bride that the florist needed to be there at noon and refused to let her in. As a paid coordinator, Deb should not have forced the bride to communicate with the florist and, despite the bride's request to simply unlock the doors so the florist could at least drop off the flowers, Deb did not let the florist in until noon.If this would have been extra work for the coordinator, the refusal may have been understandable. However, the wedding contract stated that the coordinator will log "approximately 18 hours the day of the wedding". Instead, our best estimate put her hours at a maximum of 12 hours. She was nowhere to be found while the wedding party was getting ready and did not begin assisting until 12PM. Then, she started to tear down during the reception and cut the reception short, which ended at 10:00PM instead of 11:00PM.*TEAR DOWN-The contractual end time of the reception was 10:30PM, but the venue employees began removing the rented eucalyptus runners off the tables around 9pm. At 10:05PM, the lights were turned on, and guests were told to leave. While guests were trying to leave, Deb got on a ladder and began ripping down the floral arrangement hanging above the head table (which the bride and groom paid $375).*LAST CALL-The last call for the bar was made at 9:50PM (20 minutes BEFORE it was the time agreed upon in the coordination meeting with Deb). Guests were asked to leave almost 30 minutes before the rental time ended (lights on by 10:05PM and guests were immediately and rudely told to leave, original end time was at 10:30PM). In addition to the early last call, this time corresponded with a severe thunderstorm. Guests were hurried out the door into a torrential downpour of rain, along with family and friends who were removing all (non-rented) decorations, leftover bar items, & personal belongings.*SONG CHOICES – When the wedding DJ tried to play a handful of typical wedding songs with well-known dances, the venue had him immediately turn them off to "protect the wood floors from being damaged by guest’s shoes". Several times, when guests were in the middle of the dance, the song would change abruptly. This was very odd and killed the party each time it happened.*ADDITIONAL EXPENSES – Additional expenses included ice from their ice machine, eucalyptus runners, glassware, head table chairs, getting ready space upstairs, etc.Overall, both sides of the family felt like they were a burden on the venue. It was clear that the venue cared more about preparing for the next day's wedding than they cared about ours. The wedding party, along with family and friends, were treated like a burden even though the bride and groom had paid $1300 for the venue’s coordinator, $6600 for the venue rental, $700 for decorations, and $800 for getting ready space upstairs. When this was their one and only wedding day, it is so disappointing that part of the memory for the bride, groom, and guest will be the owner's attitude and shortened reception.****By the way, bride and groom are not allowed to review the venue, that alone should cause great concern to any future bride and groom considering booking a wedding at Magnolia Venue Kansas City.
Rachel Fryberger: The inside is just amazingly beautiful, it was absolutely perfect. Lovely dark moody classy brick with rich dark wood beams and black metallic accents. It's very classy. The outdoor area was beautiful as well, but it's not a great place for a wedding ceremony because the traffic noise kind of drowns out the voices. I couldn't hear most of the ceremony.
Giovanni Rigters: I was invited to a quinceanera that was hosted at the Magnolia venue and I had a really good experience. The venue is well maintained, looks great and the two people working at the open bar where very nice as well.
James Shultz: Disappointing in nearly every way. I helped with a friends event and the people at Magnolia routinely under-performed what the said they would do and reasonable expectations. The worst part about it is that Magnolia writes it into their contract that the person having the event there is not allowed to write a negative review. I was not the person that signed the contract so I can tell it like it was. The fact they won't let customers write a negative review should tell you something.
Max James: I'll preface by saying that I am a wedding DJ working here in KC, and I'll offer the disclaimer that I work with the Magnolia team quite frequently. (In other words, I'm admitting that I'm totally biased in what I'm about to say.)Genuinely - these are some of my favorite people in this industry, and they do such an excellent job operating this venue. If you're considering hosting your wedding in Kansas City, I highly recommend touring the venue. Within minutes of meeting Deb, M'Khila, or any other member of their team, you'll see what I'm talking about. Their passion for their work will shine through your event, for both you and your guests to enjoy.
1st Class AutoGlass & Repair: Location is perfect. The staff was beyond friendly and courtesy. If you are in need of a weeding venue or a great gathering.
Aaron Sprague: Beautiful and elegant venue! The outdoor ceremony area is very nice as well!
Pamela Jackson: Nice Place
Mike Elder: Great venue and awesome staff! One of the best in the region
Natalie Bereuter: Great place for wedding reception

Cellar 222: what do users think?
Engraveable Creations Personalized Cutting Boards: We had our wedding ceremony, and reception at Cellar 222 in June 2023. We picked this venue because of the urban feel, great location and price, the minimal decorating we had to do. Everything was easy and seamless from the very beginning. Steve is awesome to work with and very fast at responding to any and all questions, as well as offering helpful advice. We were told from the beginning that they were very flexible and easy-going, and we found that to be true through the whole planning . We had about 80 people at our wedding, We were able to bring in all of our own alcohol, we just had to use a licensed bar tending service. We were also able to use the licensed caterer of our choice. The venue itself is beautiful, we really just added a few decorations to make it more personal for us. There is a parking lot available for guests to use during the event, which is really nice for being in a downtown location, We could not have been happier with this venue for our wedding. Our family and friends had lots of compliments on how it looked. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning a wedding. Thank you for making our day perfect.
Jason Harvey: Steve was very prompt and helpful during the entire process. We immediately fell in love with the unique setup. The beautiful venue has all the amenities one could need. Plenty of tables, space, and decor that made our wedding perfect!!Thank you Steve!
Rachel Mahoney: I had my wedding at Cellar 222 and loved it. Steve did a great job answering all my questions. He had amazing recommendations that I went with and it was the best day of my life. When I texted or emailed Steve he was quick to answer and made me feel at ease. I highly recommend using Cellar 222 for your event space!
Brittany Staley: Cinco de mayo/Star Wars wedding. It was easy to book, very friendly, amazing bridal suite, awesome kitchen for the caterers and spectacular set up for the bartenders. A stage for the bar and a beautiful fireplace for ceremony. Nothing but an awesome experience, the owner will help with any questions and even called the linen company for me because they couldn't get it together! We had an unforgettable experience here with Steve (:
Candace Harris: We can not say enough great things about the venue and its fantastic owner Steve. Every step of the way Steve was punctual helpful, easy going, and made fantastic recommendations for local vendors. On the day of the wedding Steve was with us for pretty much everything, happily helping to help resolve any issues with decor, vendors or managing our family. The tables, chairs, and sound system were all top notch. We do recommend making a plan for parking depending on the time of your event.
dave mora: WEDDING, DANCING AND DINNER
Jessica Sanders: really cute intimate venue with accomadating space.
Ashley Hunter: Steve (the owner) was so great to work with. He was quick to respond to my initial emails asking for details about the venue and all my questions throughout the planning process. He provided so many good tips and made us feel very relaxed about the wedding process. We visited the venue several times before the day of our wedding and Steve was great at answering our questions and helping to plan everything out. On the day of the wedding, he sent me a text letting me know everything was set up and ready to go and it was a relief. Our wedding was great and we got so many compliments on Cellar 222. It is so naturally beautiful so there wasn't much extra decorating for us to do. Overall, a beautiful and great venue. Such a great experience and I will continue to recommend to those looking for wedding venues.
Hanna Gore: We had a smaller wedding (50ish people) and this venue was everything we needed and more! Steve was great to work with and was super calm during the entire process. I toured the venue a few different times with friends and family and he was always so patient with me. The venue looked incredible for our actual wedding and they did a great job of flipping the space between the ceremony and reception. If you are looking for a laid back space that has incredible preferred vendors (catering, bar, and linens) look no further than Cellar 222.
Chad Bruton: We used Cellar 222 for our wedding reception in March of 2023. We hosted a cocktail style reception with a full bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a 6 piece band for slightly over 150 guests. We had a lot of people in the space, yet it never seemed too crowded. The two floors allowed our guests to spread out and created some separation for those that wanted to dance the night away with the band upstairs (shout out to KC All-Stars) and those who wanted to spend the time talking in the more subdued downstairs. It was an amazing evening and we could not be happier with Cellar 222. Steve did a great job of supporting us and giving us advice along the way. The venue is beautiful and needs no decoration, although we added a few just make it extra special...including lots of candles! From the moment we walked through the space for our initial tour we knew it was the right spot for our event.Aside from the venue being turnkey ready some of the definite benefits of this venue is the flexibility you have to use outside vendors. We opted to use several of the preferred vendors that Steve provided us and they too were awesome to work with (shout out to Top Shelf Bartending, Dutzel Catering, and Sugar Beats Bake Shop). Additionally, as a gay couple we are always attuned to how welcoming the vendors we worked with seemed in the process. Not all businesses are as open minded as we would hope and it was import to us to work with people who are supportive of our tribe. From the start Steve was awesome to work with and it was definitely apparent he was a supportive ally. We honestly have not one concern, complaint, or issue and highly recommend Cellar 222! Cellar 222 is beautiful, affordance, flexible, and in a great location with lots of parking for guests. You will not be disappointed!
Katherine Forrister: Cellar 222 is an absolutely beautiful space. For our small wedding of only 15 guests, we wanted a venue that didn't feel cavernous, but was large and elegant enough to fit the special occasion. While this venue can hold a lot more people, its layout and Tuscan wine cellar decor made it feel cozy and intimate for our ceremony and reception. In fact, the furniture and decor along the walls are so beautiful that we didn't need to bring many decorations of our own, which was perfect since we were trying to keep our day as easy and low-stress as possible. The owner, Steve, is AMAZING. He is so kind and easygoing, and we knew the moment we met him and saw the venue that Cellar 222 was the way to go. He recommended great vendors that frequently work with the venue so the planning process was a breeze, but we also appreciated the flexibility of choosing our own bakery for the cake. Overall, I am SO glad that we chose Cellar 222 for our wedding. I felt so pretty coming down the staircase in my dress to walk down the aisle, and everyone loved the reception that followed and kept talking about how beautiful and unique the venue is. Thank you, Cellar 222!
David Ficklin: The perfect setting for our wedding! Having hosted 100’s of weddings, Steve kept us relaxed and made the whole planning process fun and easy! We can’t recommend Cellar222 enough!
Timmy Gibson: As a Wedding Officiant here in Kansas City I get to see so many beautiful Wedding Spaces and Cellar 222 is super freakin cool. It's got such a unique quaint feel with the multiple levels, slight industrial feel with open high ceilings and that stone Fireplace is magical. Steve is always present and accommodating. I would definitely recommend you schedule a tour and see if Cellar 222 will fit your needs, you'll be impressed.
Jamie Lee: Cute spot for a more intimate wedding.
Keisha Johnson: Cellar 222 was such a elegant and intimate venue for our wedding. I felt like a princess. We did not have to use alot of decor because the venue was such a beautiful space. Steve is such an amazing person to work with and he made sure that all my needs were met. He gave me great ideas and he was so easy to communicate with. I received so many compliments about the venue choice and how beautiful our wedding was.
Taylor Lane Gilmore: We couldn’t be more grateful for Steve and Cellar 222 for making our 4-week, whirlwind wedding planning process a reality! My husband and I are expecting a baby boy in the spring, and decided after many years together that we would, in fact, like to get married and throw together a wedding prior to the birth of our son. A quick Google search connected me with Steve and Cellar 222, and within a week of being engaged we secured the venue and got to planning. Steve was communicative and helpful throughout. His recommendations and preferred vendor list made the process easy and affordable. We had an intimate ceremony and dinner by the fireplace, followed by a larger party upstairs complete with DJ and open bar. We could never have imagined how well, beautiful, and FUN it would have turned out, and would not have been able to pull it off without Steve. Would recommend again and again, especially for a cozy, winter party like the one we had. Thank you, Steven and Cellar 222!
Megan C: Cellar 222 was the perfect venue for our wedding 11/12/22. Steven was amazing and very helpful. We used his vendor recommendations and everything went smoothly on our wedding day. It was the best experience and I highly recommend to any future couples!
Alexandra Eddy: I recently had my wedding here on 12/3. I had about 60 people and felt the venue was the perfect size. My husband and I are pretty laid back and minimalistic, so we were looking for a venue that didn’t require us to do much. We brought very little decor because the venue is stunning on its own.Steve and his vendors were amazing. I felt I was in good hands the entire night, and it allowed me to enjoy my wedding/reception. My goal was to be able to have fun and celebrate with family. All the work he and his vendors did made that happen for me. All my guests had a great time. If I had to do it over, I would 110% use this venue again.I truly have nothing but great things to say about this venue, and highly recommend it for anyone looking for event space.
Melissa Awbrey: Highly recommend Cellar 222!! We recently held both our wedding ceremony and reception at Cellar 222 and could not be more pleased with our decision to use this venue. It was quaint, charming and perfect for our Christmas season wedding. The owner, Steven, was incredibly easy to work with, responded extremely timely to all of my inquiries and left me feeling relaxed through the entire venue booking process to the end of our special night. All of my guests remarked on how much they enjoyed our wedding venue choice.
Grant Macdonnell: Great location
Eric Francis: My wife and I utilized Cellar 222 for a rehearsal dinner/welcome party the evening before our wedding, and could not have asked for a better experience. Steven was great to work with and extremely accommodating, while making sure our event was perfect! Additionally, it was an absolutely beautiful space and never felt crowded with our group of roughly 100 individuals. I HIGHLY recommend Cellar 222 for any event!!

The Oliver Building: what do users think?
Allison Singley: A beautiful venue! The eclectic, manufacturing style is so interesting, and there are so many cool spaces!
Michelle Sommer: Caitlin made everything so easy for our wedding reception. I cannot thank her enough for all that she did for us. We didn't have to worry about a thing during the reception and we could just enjoy our night. We also loved the fact that we got the whole space from Friday evening through Sunday morning to set up and take down. Absolutely beautiful space inside and so charming. Parking was abundant for our guests, and we had a dedicated space behind a locked fence for our car. We appreciated the numerous check ins to make sure our night was perfect, and it was. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a wedding reception in the downtown KC area.
mark gunnison: The Oliver was the perfect and most amazing venue for my daughter's wedding. The staff is very helpful and easy to work with and always accessible. The building is stunning and majestic and has everything needed for getting ready, putting on the wedding and having the reception-all in one building. We were thrilled with everything and will not hesitate to book with the Oliver the next time we need event space.
Stacey Abbott: Nice quiet place to fish this evening
Audio Rent KC: We've rented out A/V to clients using this venue for their event a number of times and have a had great experience with the staff here. Load in and load out has always gone smoothly. Would definitely recommend this venue for your event!
Meredith Crouch: We had our wedding here last weekend, and it was the perfect place for us. The building is beautiful, but the staff made everything even more amazing! They made us feel so taken care of throughout the planning process and the day of the event. The Oliver is such a unique and special place. You won't find another venue quite like it in KC!
Mike King: Great venue. Old and historic in a good way. The staff is nice and friendly.
Jazmyn Pedersen: I am a wedding planner and The Oliver Building is one of my new favorite venues in the KC area!! The uniqueness in the architecture is amazing. Every time you turn a corner in this space, there is something new and cool to see. I really love the history of the building and the integrity that they have kept throughout all these years. I recently hosted a KC wedding vendor networking event with The Oliver Building and enjoyed the entire process. The venue coordinator Caitlin, owners Steve and Curtis, plus their staff are great to work with. The space was clean, well taken care of and so welcoming. I hope to do a lot of weddings at this stunning venue in the future. I will recommend it to all my clients!
Connor Alexander: GORGEOUS venue.
Timmy Gibson: As a Wedding Officiant I get to see great Wedding Venues all the time, but the Oliver Building stands out for sure as a hidden treasure that provides 3 floors of a perfectly restored 1880s building in Kansas City's Historic West bottoms. The space is vast, but also can be made to seem quaint. You can't beat that industrial feel with the exposed ceiling, hardwood floors and so much more. I love this space and I know you will too. Call them today for a tour and book them.
Drew Krol: Cool venue space
Lisa Campbell: The Oliver was the best venue! It was unique that we got the venue for 48 hours so that made the weekend a lot less stressful! The Oliver is BEAUTIFUL and had so many amazing photo spots! The staff was absolutely AMAZING and so willing and quick to help! Could not recommend The Oliver more for a wedding!
Kayla Mehojah: We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Oliver Building and I can't recommend it enough. Curtis, Caitlin, and the entire team were a delight to work with. They make everything super easy and we got compliments from many of our guests about how beautiful the venue is. They continue to make improvements to the venue and event services, but even without those, it would be a five star experience. I love that the team is more concerned about your experience than profit, and they genuinely care about you and your guests. This is a must-see venue, and perfect for any event!
Allexus Strohm: The Oliver Building is one of a kind, from the unique and beautiful space to the west bottom vibes it made our wedding the best day ever. It has the best photo opportunities everywhere in the building and outside. We cant thank Caitlin, Curtis, and the entire staff for making the experience from start to finish for our wedding go smoothly and perfect.
Brenda Jackson: Lovely facility, nice place for weddings and receptions or family gatherings.
Cecilia Hernandez: Perfect venue for wedding
Ebonie Mullenmaster: Building staff were fantastic well kept and very accommodating
Abi White: We loved having our wedding at The Oliver! The space was perfect and they made sure everything ran smoothly the day of! Highly recommend!
Shelby Grant: So cool... so very cool. A great wedding.
Amanda Robinson: The Oliver Building was the first vendor we booked which really set the tone for the amazing level of service we had from all vendors on our wedding day! We were originally drawn to the style and historic beauty of The Oliver, but all of the amazing amenities and support from their team made choosing them as our venue a no brainer. It checked so many boxes for us: open-vendor policy, all-weekend access, close enough to downtown but still with ample space for parking, unique setting, venue coordinator and on-site staff, and provided linens, tables, and chairs. They also have an ADA accessible entrance and an elevator with an attendant for anyone who cannot manage the stairs, which were must haves for us with older family members. In the year after booking, they made so many awesome updates to the building which really shows that they are invested in making sure everyone’s events are special for years to come. One of the greatest “bonuses” of The Oliver is the family suite; it really came in handy to have an extra (comfortable!) space for family members who weren’t in the wedding party, but were on-site for getting ready and family photos. We had multiple walk-throughs leading up to the big day, and the planning meetings were so helpful. Everyone on their team was so pleasant to work with, especially Caitlin and Curtis! They are so hardworking and accommodating. Everyone always had a smile on their face and made us feel so special. They provided staff for setup, room flip, cleanup, and someone was onsite any time we were there throughout the weekend to answer any questions that came up. It was reassuring to know that these important tasks were taken care of, so we could simply enjoy the events with our loved ones. With access to 3 floors, there is a lot of space for your event, but the warmth of the materials and colors of the building make the space feel intimate enough for smaller events as well. We loved the natural beauty of the building’s style so didn’t feel as though we needed to decorate too much, but the space can be dressed up to any liking. We received so many compliments about the venue from our guests, and we are so happy to know that they enjoyed celebrating at The Oliver as much as we did. I would seriously recommend this venue to everyone, and hope to have or attend another event there in the future!
Thomas Richards: Cool wedding venue. Wide open renovated industrial building. Driving to the building is a bit intimidating due to disrepair of buildings around it. Food and staff were excellent.

The Kansas City Room at 28 Event Space: what do users think?
Brent Lager: My new wife and I simply can not say enough amazing things about Mackenzie, Taylor and the entire staff at 28 Event Space. We had a big wedding (near 250) and they made it so easy and stress free for us. They were flexible, honest and just gave off the best energy throughout the entire process. From the day we toured to the moment we left the day after the wedding, they were great to us. And the space is absolutely perfect for every phase of the wedding experience. We'd absolutely love it, and would recommend them for whatever your needs are. Great people, great place, great experience!
FUTURE T WOOTEN: Very nice place to rent to use for an event! We had our Elite Superfans event there during the 2023 nfl draft in Kansas City
David M White: Great Draft Party! So much fun! Just watching all the different attired people.
Lyndsee Johnson: I toured 6 venues and could not find a better event space in the KC metro than 28 Event Space. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and extremely easy to work with. I think I asked them hundreds of questions leading up to our big day, to which they were immediately responsive, attentive, and extremely helpful. The bartenders included in our package were awesome and went above and beyond as they were willing to make all of our old fashioned's for our signature drink for our pup ("Otis Fashioned")! The Station was everything we had wished and hoped for - I would recommend to any couple looking for a place for their dream wedding! :)
Miguel ramirez: Maravilloso elegante comodo
Hunee Cwms-Graham: Beautiful! An good place to hold a wedding or any event where spending the night and showing and changing clothes is necessary

Andie Stitt: Absolutely the best place! We had the best wedding. The staff was awesome and so organized. I couldn’t have asked for it to be perfect. The best venue!
Kevin Glannon: A lovely place to host an event. Fun decor good space. Knocking off a star for tiny restrooms.
Jennifer Brunk: This space is very versatile and perfect for a wedding venue.
Jessie Ridenour: Great place for a wedding reception
Rose Mattingly: I got to be witness to my best friend getting hitched in this gorgeous event space. This was most definitely the BEST WEDDING I have ever been to. Hands down! It was probably the blending of these beautiful eclectic families that made it so, but the space was perfect to host such a brilliant array of beauty and love. I am so glad I got to spend so much time in here and it doubles as an Airbnb space which was absolutely amazing for the after party and the preparations for before the ceremony! Highly recommend this to any Kansas City brides to be!!!!
Alexis Nibert: I work a LOT with this venue and I can't say one negative attribute the venue or ownership has. From the first inquiry call, couples are treated like family. As a wedding planner, I can't express how important it is to work with a venue that understands the industry and wants the best for their couples. When you can trust your venue to execute your day effortlessly, you've found the right venue for you!Not to mention, this also makes it very easy for wedding vendors to work here because of the hospitality all of their employees show.I get excited every weekend I get to work here with this team!
Kim Philip: This was the absolute BEST RECEPTION SITE we could have ever imagined! It worked for every member of our family! The staff was awesome, especially the three bartenders we had, and the back rooms and bedrooms were perfect for elderly family members to relax in during the reception and for the wedding party to prep in before and after the ceremony. It was just the most perfect venue for us!!! We loved it!!!
Heather Szumierz: Venue was over all perfectly put together inside and out!
Leah Berg: I think 28 Event Space is the best value venue in downtown KC. I did extensive research on venues in downtown KC for my wedding, and no one could compete with 28 Event Space’s price for everything that is included. A few of the main selling points for me were that our rental included a DJ, party bus, bride/groom getting ready suite, overnight access, use of your own vendors, and the ability to bring your own alcohol. They are the only venue in downtown KC (to my knowledge) to offer all of this, and at an incredibly fair price. In addition to all of this, the venue itself is absolutely stunning. We went with The Station which has an elegant marble backdrop as the centerpiece of the room. Everything is so updated and modern, which is exactly what we were looking for in a venue. The managers Mackenzie and Taylor are also incredibly responsive which is a must for wedding planning. They gave me a number to text with any questions and they almost always responded within ours. We mainly worked with Taylor, and she was so flexible with all of our requests. I can’t recommend 28 Event Space enough.
Lawrence Leek: Was a groomsman for my sister's wedding. You beautiful facility, everything was laid out in a function functional manner, DJ and staff were fun, professional, and engaging
Abe Zabih: Good wedding venue
Nicolas Bradley: Incredible venue. Amazing bride and groom suites. This place has it all

The Cotillion Room and Garden: what do users think?
Elizabeth Alvarez: Rude people
Dereen Fortsch: Beautiful venue, but the lighting was dim and hard to see things. The owner Rachel was an amazing help to me with helping with the decorations. I was having to do it by myself, but she jumped right in with setting them all up. We have used the Cotillion for years and we plan on continuing to plan all of our special family occasions with them.
