T R: A public pantry garden worked by members of the community, including folks on their lunch breaks from nearby workplaces. Food grown and harvested from this garden are donated to a local food pantry to help other community members. It's beautiful as well as practical. A wonderful use and placement of free space in downtown KC. A great place to have a picnic lunch and learn about where our food comes from.
Lele Stars: Omg I love this place so much. It is not much to see if you are looking for splendor but I come here to get away from the hassles of work and life and have lunch and find peace. Farrand Farms | Kansas City Garden Center: what do users think?
Ashden Prine: Love it here!
Jean Schmitt: One of the few places in town I could find moss rose late in the season. I know a lot of their bedding plants were already gone, but it didn't look like they carried as many of my old favorites as they used to.
Leann Swank: Love this place!! Always a wide variety of beautiful, healthy plants and helpful staff!
Tom Abbey: Bought flowers and herbs.
Dennis Carroll: Always a great selection and the staff is very helpful.
Sha'rrell Haws: Used to be our go-to for garden stuff....it's become disorganized and lacking!I know Mr Farrand retired. He would be upset at the way things are run now....We'll have to find a new place.....
Candis Edington: We stumbled across this place by accident, and we decided to turn around to check them out. I'm so happy we did! They have a wide variety of flowers and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We live about 45 minutes away from here, but we will definitely make the drive back soon.
Tammy Lee: If your not smiling and you want to! Just step inside and you'll be smiling the whole way through. The best part is what made you smile you get to take home and continue to smile. Beautiful plants!
Christin Huff: I usually come here thinking paying a higher price will Guarantee the quality of the plant... wrong or at least 2023 that is not the case. Purchase 2pack of lettuce for 5.99 each and half of them where dead when I took them out. Called thinking they would exchange the dead ones... nope basically told me your snooze you lose. I'll try other places this year
JOHN WISER: Very nice place clean. Also is it still ran by family. Or all of them gone.
Karla Sortland: Wonderful place with so many gorgeous, different types of poinsettias. People all were helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely go there this spring for flowers and vegetables.
Andrew: The owls they had were soooo cool. The selection of flowers are varied.
Margaret Liggett: Always go to their Holiday Market weekend! They have events all year but this is my favorite! Shop Local!
Sergio Gil: Beautiful flowers and plants and very nice staff 👍
Jeff Mcfaniel: Just came here for the first time and loved the service and the prices. Will definitely be coming back here for all my gardening needs for now on.
Catherine Heuer: Love this place the employee's are very friendly and very helpful
S B: Very knowledgeable and huge variety
Sheila Paden: Don’t buy from here!!! They do not have good customer service. I bought plants that died within a week and they will not do anything to help me with them. They are rude!!!
PDK: A staple in the Kansas city Gardening community. Farrand offers an outstanding selection of plants. The nursery has been in operation for over 100 years becauase they consistently exceed expectations. A magical place to visit, the grounds are beautiful and consistently have a wide selection of healthy plants.
sal arello: This is a very dangerous place, if you love plants that is. Everything was beautiful and growing. Definitely worth the stop
Carrie Toland: Very knowledgeable, patient staff helped me design my front garden! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Rosehill Gardens: what do users think?
Jimmy Rodriguez: Critical:QualityVery rude bosses and owners. Not trust Worthy at all.
Tammie Dickerson: Lovely garden center and event space!
Therese Tatem-Potter: Always an enjoyable experience at rosehills..friendly staff always
Don Downing: The employees are very helpful.
Aaron Smith: Was there for a wedding. Cool place, nice people, made accommodation for rain with multiple umbrellas and tents. Unfortunate that it rained, but the venue was nice.
Rich Shockey: This is an absolutely stunning place. Jeff has been such a pleasure to work with and makes this our first go to venue for an outdoor event.
Chris Reyes: Went to Somerset wine bar in the area between the offices and the barns for live music and wine. Great time.
Randy Gieselman: Would not recommend this business to friends/family/others.I called Rosehill Gardens for help with repairs on a sprinkler head and a leaking valve back in August of 2020. The technician's service was great and very fast (the only reason for more than one star)! However, I did not receive a bill to pay for the service.I visited in person about 2 weeks later and was told to expect it in the mail. It's September of 2022 and I'm only now receiving a paper statement in the mail where I've been charged late fees/interest for the past 2 years without ever having been contacted via mail or phone until now. I would think if a business was interested in being paid what was owed, they'd reach out in the event of a missed payment (within days, not years).Service:Landscaping maintenance
Michael Martin: Hired to install an irrigation system and a lawn renovation in the fall of 2022. Had several issues with the irrigation install and they did come out to fix those. Credit to them for that. The lawn renovation was overpriced for the work that was done, in my opinion. The reason for my 3/5 review is mostly due to their communication. They are not great with this aspect of their work. I’ve left several unreturned voicemails and they all were time sensitive for work being done. Never received a call back. The only way to get a response is to call continually or vocalize a complaint. After both jobs the people doing the work left without a word said to me. No after care or instruction on next steps. No inspection of work. No approval from me as the customer. Nothing. This is not on the responsibility of the laborers themselves but rather the department and project managers. The work is mid-level but they did fix prior errors. I will not be hiring this company again. Their price point is much higher than the small shops. That would be justified if the quality of their work or the standard of their service was much higher. Regrettably neither aspect is true.Lastly, I would not be as unsatisfied if the jobs I hired for were much small or less expensive but I paid $7,500 in one summer with Rosehill. That is no small investment for a residential property. I don’t expect preferential treatment but I do expect more than received based on what I paid.
D Thomas: Great place to get plants. Prices are usually half of that at suburban down the street. Everything I've gotton here has a high survival rate and does well. Folks who run the place are friendly and nice to talk too. I highly recomend this place.
Laird McNeiley: Beware if you have a sprinkler system and are using Rosehill for your landscaping. We are pleased with the landscape plan and for the most part all of the work performed. The disappointment comes from all of the damage caused by Rosehill to the existing sprinkler system. It has cost us several hundred dollars to put the system back together after the work was done. It almost seems like that is part of the plan, dig up the current system , accept no responsibility and then charge you for any repairs even when it is very clear that the damage was a result of negligence.Service:Yard landscaping
Motty Franks: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueRose Hill was extremely helpful today and very polite! Hard working As well! We had an irrigation issue and they sent guys right out to fix our issue!! We will definitely use them in the future! The owner Curtis is great to talk with. Al Shores the supervisor is super nice and knowledgeable!!Service:Lawn care
Elijah Davidson: Great place to work for very diverse love working out in freeman and Miami county out in the country and see the pretty trees the people are great and Jake on field production makes work fun unlike my past job with toxic work environment I love what I do and I plan to stay for a long time
Evan Hicks: Critical:ProfessionalismAbsolutely no reason for your f150 driver to be pushing other motorists off the roadway driving 85 in a 70 zone
Preston Reeves: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueI have worked in the green industry for over 15 years, and can say from personal experience that Rosehill Gardens is the most impressive landscaping company that I have ever seen. Roots a century deep.
swixon: We recently held an engagement party at their patio event space at their Martin City location. First, the venue is absolutely wonderful. It was full of greenery and mums (it was held in Oct) and didn't need any decorations because of the natural beauty. The space had a water feature (small waterfall/pond) and plenty of seating/tables. Furthermore, they offered interior space for the bar set-up and food. The guests were so impressed and continuously commented on the venue. Although this was an "open house" type of event for the engaged couple, 95% of the people stayed the entire time due to the venue and simply enjoying the space.Jeff Menefee, the Event Coordinator, was simply amazing. He was patient and kind during the planning process. A heckava nice fella. Before we arrived that day, he had prepared the space with table placement, setting up bar area, providing tables/tablecloth set up for the food and making sure the space was ready for our guests. Throughout the party, he came around to ensure the patio umbrellas were adjusted for the sun as it shifted and checked-in to make sure things were going well. He was the absolute best! As a matter of fact, a couple of the guests commented on how impressed they were with him and to comment that he was so nice.Jeff's kindness, flexibility and patience coupled with the outstanding event space made this such a success. I know a couple of people at the party are already discussing holding their future events there. That speaks volumes. If you are planning a party or a special occasion, I would highly recommend doing it at RoseHill Gardens. You will not be disappointed!
Daisy Lopez: Me encanta
Gigi Mateo: Luv this place. Cindy and staff are nice and accomodating. I had an event here with about 30 people and we had a great time. Their sangria slushes was good as well as the food truck and music!
Lori T: We have worked with Rosehill Gardens for multiple projects and this year we hired them for our biggest project yet. Our landscaper Steve listened to our ideas and then made them better through his great design. We're in the execution stage now and he is highly responsive as he project manages the large project across multiple teams (hardscape and landscape). Several of our neighbors have told us how much they love the work we're doing. Prior to working with Rosehill we had a challenging, sloped yard. Now it is being transformed. We anticipate many years of great memories once this project is complete. A bonus is that no tree or plant we've ever bought from Rosehill for more than 15 years ever needed to be replaced.
Karen Clark Ristine: The event venue is stellar and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. I got a mature bonsai and thriving aloe vera. Next event we plan, Rosehill will be at the top of the list. Jeff was great!
Lisa Brewer: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWOW!!! Our front yard and back yard is gorgeous, thanks to John Mclenon and his crew!!! John listened to what we wanted and did exactly what we asked. He and his crew were timely, professional, and fun to work with. If you are looking for landscaping design and install.....Rosehill Gardens is THE company you want.

Suburban Lawn & Garden: what do users think?
Peter Sickle: Always friendly and knowledgeable, which can be characteristics that are hard to find.
Robert Walding: Their website says they have plenty of Buffalo River Rock at this specific location. They have absolutely zero. Definitely will not come back for landscape material again. Wasted my time and gas.
Arijana J: Love this place!
Rachel Theune: Staff was super helpful and they had a large selection!
Mark Schonwetter: Large variety of plants and supplies. On this trip staff was readily available for assistance.
Toni Jones: Such a variety of healthy and beautiful plants to choose from! So hard to make decisions. Employees were so knowledgeable and helpful. Such a fun shopping experience. Looking forward to my next trip there.
Heather Just Heather: Suburban is PHENOMENAL!!! This amazing facility/business has been providing garden, plant & landscaping services for my family for GENERATIONS!!! They always have gorgeous specimens of many, many veggie, ornamental, fruit, nut & shade trees & bushes, flowers, roses, houseplants & planters... anything garden, plant or lawn related they usually have it & in abundance. The staff is great & the place is huge! So big they have electric carts for customers to use while shopping. Grateful we have this business so close to home.
Kendall Schoonover: They meet you at the door with a clean cart. They ask you if they can help you find a product. And they quickly check you out and send you on your way. This is Customer Service! Strongly recommend.
Scott Kennedy: Prices on trees habe doubled if not tripled. Trees that were 79 a few years ago are 200.
Linda P: This was my first time doing my annual garden shopping at this Suburban location and I was very impressed! It's the end of the first week of May when many other areas garden stores are out of items and plants and they still had everything I hoped to find in stock. Employees were restocking everything as I walked through the aisles and were able to answer every question they were asked. They had all the blooming annuals, herbs, the variety of tomatoes I wanted, and large bags of Happy Frog potting soil I needed as well. Checking out was very efficient and there were plenty of friendly cashiers ready to move everyone through as quickly as possible. I will definitely be back to this Suburban location next year!Update: I returned again this year to purchase my plants, soil, and other gardening needs. Everything I noted as wonderful last year is still wonderful! I'm a lifetime fan of this Martin City (KCMO) Suburban Lawn and Garden location!!
Raymond Muñoz: What a great experience with these folks! From buying our tree to getting it planted, they did an excellent job. My wife and I will definitely be going there for all of our landscaping needs from now on. Thank you all!
Watchgirl 77: I absolutely LOVE this place! It's such a happy environment! Theres such a beautiful diversity in plants, flowers and trees! You can tell that the staff is knowledgeable in how they take care of the plants..Unlike box stores like Lowes etc. Where the plants are half dead.
Brandy Allison: It was great! So many plants to choose from. Most of the plants looked great. Only one or two had some bugs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had little buggies we could drive around to help get through the large outside area. I could easily spend all day there!
John Ross: Asked about hydrangeas, they said they had 5 gal ones. I drove 30 min to get there,..but there were none. $25 down the drain and no plants.
Jana Pospichal Cromer: Knowledgeable staff, excellent selection of annuals, perennials, vegetables, trees, shrubs, and even indoor plants. Best nursery in southern KC suburbs!! 🌱
Brandy Barnum: We got the experience knowledgeable shrubs on trees she made a shopping trip of 23 trees and 88 shrubs so easy. Highly satisfied! Will be back again.
Luis Mena: Goood
Rebecca Elo: Carrie and Sean were very helpful and full of relevant advice. They were able to reign my enthusiasm in and set my expectations for my balcony garden. Can’t wait to come back!
Jeremy Maserang: Employees are nice, and helpful. I Don’t know if it’s the manager or the owner, but the lady behind the counter I overheard say I could never come back if I didn’t have my dog on a leash. I didn’t think it was a big deal, and I would have put him on a leash if they would have asked. Shes just very angry and rude. The greenhouse was empty so I just didn’t think it was a big deal all they had to do was tell me when I walked in and I would have fixed it. Everyone said hello to him until the very end I hear I can’t come back.
Joseph Killeen: I started out at the 135th Street location, where the service was very friendly, but the selection and quality of plants was poor. I think I am going to have to completely give up on 135th and the Roe locations. Then I headed out to the K7 location. That store has not let me down yet. They had everything I needed in stock. It's in the complete opposite direction of most of my work, but it is worth the drive to be able to purchase everything in one spot.Update 12/29/22: The Lenexa location isn't letting me down. They had all the foundation plantings I needed for a residential realty job I'm trying to wrap up for the year. I also purchased a yard of landscape rock to top dress a planting bed.
Jeffrey Vermillion: Beautiful winter flower asst.

David Allman: Absolutely beautiful place to spend an afternoon, Mrs. K would be so thrilled...
Rhonda McCray: The conference I attended offered breakfast & lunch. They were both good and it provided all the extras. The conference was informative but too long. Don't wait to go to the restroom, it seems like it's a mile away; but it was clean once I got there.
Nadra B Organized: This place is great for an event space. The bathroom is kind of far to walk to.
RedBullKC: A hidden gem in the middle of KC! It's all about nature, preservation, and the state of Missouri. The staff is incredible and patient with all the visiting school kids. The displays are professional, meaningful, and unique! The animals located within the state are located throughout the building! The kids are throughout the building, learning and building crafts to take home 🏡. It's pretty impressive! The exterior has paths throughout, preserved natural habitats for animals. Kids line up to see the turtles 🐢, ducks 🦆, and fish 🐟 swimming under and around the bridges. Locals were taking strolls on the paths, enjoying the weather and sights. It's worth taking the time to visit while eating lunch or taking a stroll!
