This is the fifth family member I have McGilley’s do for me.

The bathroom was filthy.They was no organization for the service. The"director" was non existent. It was a terrible place to have a funeral and I will steer people from this place. Tragic.

I called to find out when I could pick up my mother's ashes and he was like when she's ready we will call.... didn't ask for my name nor hers. Soon as I hung up my sister who lives 1500 miles away called and said mom's remains were ready to be picked up. Seriously y'all... so they called the wrong person and had attitude. I called back yet again and same guy with same attitude. Completely unprofessional!!!! Not only was the communication awful with this place but service when they picked her up. Guy was extremely unprofessional, was loud, laughing and didn't even have a sheet or pillow for my mother's body. I'm not happy at all with the way things were handled here. I wish I could give them Zero stars. Y'all need to do better. People are grieving and y'all are rude and unprofessional.

Sheila Calhoun: Staff were not professional when my husband and I had an appointment to go over his previously purchased plan . Kristen didn’t have our paperwork in order and stated she could only find one plot purchased instead of 2. We had proof that we purchased 2. She had to leave the room twice to retrieve more of their paperwork . She kept fumbling through papers . The funeral director and I discussed who were to get some of my husbands ashes and he even told me when they were ready to put the ashes into their memory jewelry to bring the jewelry and he would put the ashes in for them however on the day of burial of my husbands urn we were at the gravesite ceremony and the urn was placed in the ground . I then told the director we would go back up to the funeral home so our daughters could get their ashes when he said he had forgotten to take some out for them . They were heartbroken . He offered to take the urn back up and re open it right then but the girls said no, it was already placed in the ground . A decision they regretted . There has to be protocol in place as to who gets some of the ashes once the ashes are returned to the director following cremation. It was a stressful situation on top of losing our loved one. ONE THING I’m adding is the first Christmas after my husband death Terrace Park sent me a Christmas card - it upset me terribly . When I called them they said they like their families to know they care. Terrible marketing strategy . It’s hard enough to get through holidays much less be reminded by the funeral home . Totally inappropriate !!!!

They allowed us to make the changes we needed to truly customize my dads funeral for what he would have wanted.The day of the funeral went very well. On the lake with all glass windows, it was a beautiful location for the viewing and funeral.They were very patient with us and VERY accommodating. I would recommend them to anyone!

Rainy Morning: We had used Cashatt family funeral home before when my step father passed away and they were amazing! Fast forward 2 years when my mother passed away unexpectedly and i decided to use them again. This time we did not get to have Ryan. (who was thoughtful and kind our first time) This time we had Pastor Lawerence and i must say, it was a completely different experience.He was kind but instead of talking about my mother he spent his time talking to me about his. I learned much about his life but i didn't feel like he took the time to learn much about ours. He asked me to write up what I'd like to have in the visitation pamphlet and then read that verbatim during my mothers service. He forgot to give me my mothers jewerly and i had to drive up during another funeral to get her things. It is 12 weeks later and i had to contact him to find out what is going on with her death certificates because i still have not received them.Over all i am deeply disappointed in the care and service i paid for and sadly would not recommend them to anyone.

In recent months I have called upon Ryan for assistance in acquiring cremation services, obtaining Death Certificates, acquiring a burial plot at Leavenworth National Cemetery for a recently deceased military veteran and other services in acquiring a Military Gravesite Headstone. Also, I have used Mr. Cashatt's services in obtaining pre-need burial/cemetery services for a close family member. Without hesitation, I recommend Cashatt Family Funeral Home Services to others.

Brandee Klieber: My family and I were referred to Cashatt Family Funeral Home by hospice care. They made a great first impression by coming to our home to make arrangements. They did not follow through with many of the things they promised and we paid for. Stay away!1. The casket didn't arrive on time.2. There was a makeup smudge on the top of the casket. I had to explain what it was to several extended family members.3. The hair was disheveled and the body was sweating like a can of cold soda on a hot day.4. The Memorial DVDs ($150) were not at the visitation and would not have arrived if we did not pester them repeatedly. I personally asked Jeanette, the mother, about the DVDS and she was rude and had no idea what I was talking about. When they finally did arrive, they were incomplete. Ryan personally told us we would receive a refund. WE DID NOT RECEIVE A REFUND.5. The limo they reserved for us on the day of the funeral was like something out of a movie. The driver did not know where he was going. The limo WAS NOT SAFE. The limo did not have a/c (it was a 90 degree day with 10 people dressed in black stuffed in the back of a limo). When the limo was not functioning properly, the driver TURNED OFF THE LIMO ON THE HIGHWAY. When we requested a new limo, the driver was rude to us. The second limo STILL DID NOT HAVE A/C.6. Since the limo didn't work, we were late to the military service scheduled at 12:30. We arrived at 1:10 approximately. We were rushed out of the service area for the next funeral which was at 1:30.7. When we called to confront Ryan about all the things that went wrong, his mother answered the phone and was INCREDIBLY RUDE. This woman should be kept away from grieving families.We never received a refund for the awful limo service or the DVD. I attempted to contact Ryan several times but he didn't answer his phone or return my calls or emails.

To simply rate Muehlebach 'Five Stars', doesn't come close to conveying that which my family and I experienced. What I considered most important when burying my loved one was the final memory, the funeral itself. My final gesture, act of love and gift for my wife. My beloved bride recently passed away. Stricken with loss & grief, I entrusted Muehlebach to handle all arrangements - the entire funeral - visitation, church service and memorial at the cemetery. In retrospect, I could not have made a better choice. It was beautiful. Perfect. My family, friends and I could not have been more pleased or consoled. From the first call we placed, to the final service at the cemetery, it was truly perfect, peaceful and comforting. There is no aspect of what took place that I would change.DIRECTOR AND STAFF: Could not have asked for more caring, compassionate and professional individuals. Each that we dealt with went far beyond the call of our expectation. The Director was available for what seemed 24/7, always responding immediately or in a very short time frame to any and all questions and concerns. Director and staff provided constant follow-up and meticulous attention to detail. Often, two family members, unknowingly, would make separate calls to the same individual for the same information. Always, the response was with patience and understanding. I will be forever grateful to Steve and Elizabeth, and their most caring and thoughtful staff, for their compassion and the comforting services they provided throughout the entire process.THE FACILITY: Conveniently located on a main thoroughfare, only blocks away from prestigious Rockhurst College and campus. Large parking lot and very well lighted at night. We found the facility nicely decorated, bright, pleasant and very clean - including the large restrooms. Spacious gathering room with ample seating for a large group during the Visitation and Rosary. General environment conducive to a relaxed mood and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend entrusting the funeral of your loved one to Muehlebach Funeral Home.
