MEDS CNA Training Programs: what do users think?
Darla Soifua: My first day at CNA was awesome!
Stories Of Sinners Anonymous: It was the worst school I went to. One instructor Karen Levengood would talk about her beliefs in crystals and spiritual topics. She would often fail you if she could especially during clinicals!I had one instructor I disageed with about a resident. I calmly and politly said it but it was infront of other students. She lost her mind and sent me home. The receptionist will tell you that you have to come in to make payments or get info even though she can but rarely does. She answers rudly and often hangs up the phone and doesn't answer. They do not work with your schedule whatsoever. Many students and their loved ones were furious. They make you complete over 100 hours and pass 60 different tasks for residents. They fail you more often than not for making up a system where things have to be done in order and in a complex way. This is so you run out of time and have to pay for an extention. (50 to 100$) Only 2 students I knew passed on time. The majority had to get extentions because of work ect.If you miss more than 3 classes you are kicked out. If you miss an hour you have to sit in time out. (NOT KIDDING) For the time you missed. They keep track. If you fail a test you pay for it. They don't provide any materials for free.
Emoni Black: I had a wonderful experience in their CNA class and learned a lot of invaluable things. All of the instructors take the program seriously and go the extra mile to teach us what we need to know. That also means they could be overly strict at times, but what can you do. I'd recommend their programs regardless.
Beckie osborn: I did the CMT program.Miss Mary, is a great teacher, as well as role model. Of being a professional working in the health care field.Brooke and Mary, truly care about you learning, and learning correctly! Not just about turn over.Taking time, to make sure, you understand & why it's done that way.Don't give up on your self. Because they won't.And thank you guys.BeckieGood luck!Had to Edit and add, went back to get my insulin certification. And they made me feel very, comfortable and confident in insulin. As well as administration of it. ( Was nervous at first. Knowing the smallest of error, can literally be life and death)But I have a solid understanding of it, and completely comfortable checking and administering insulin.Again thank you ladies.
Mimi Wilson: I think it is an excellent place to learn, and appreciated Tracy as an instructor, and Leslie's help was invaluable. I had to abruptly drop the class after only 3 sessions (without being able to provide my explanation). The Director made an attempt to reach out to me to see if they could assist me, truly showing that they are committed to helping their students succeed! I recommend them as a great training agency, and have a new found appreciation for all who are CNAs (who are definitely undervalued & underpaid)! They are just as important as any member of the healthcare team. Thank you all so very kindly!!!
Brittani Williams: Great learning Program but need a better attitude atmosphere. Certain staff members make you feel unwelcome and belittle you.
Eve Thomas: I haven't enrolled, but I have been trying to figure out how much it costs. Did anyone do the payment plan? and what was the total cost?
Shermaine Nevels: I just went in to get enrolled today and the receptionist was discouraging, unpleasant and negative.
Courtney Marie: I absolutely recommend meds If you are wanting to get your foot in the door within healthcare. Ginger the program director was so supportive and was there if any student had questions or concerns. Tracy , my classroom instructor was amazing and made sure each class was informative and didn't move on until you understood. And last but not least , my favorite clinical instructor was pam who made sure all her students came first. I will forever be thankful for ginger and her staff !! I am now on my way to becoming a cna/patient care Tech and level one med aide and couldn't be happier with the tools and knowledge I have.
Theresa Allman: Worth every dime.
Jeff Eldridge: Loved it! It was an amazing experience
chris whitehill: They are a superb training program
Natalie Hud: LOVE MEDS! They gave me the training that I need and helped me by using real world examples of what I should and shouldn't do. Melanie Rodriguez is the best instructor ever!

The University of Kansas Hospital : School of Nursing: what do users think?
SuchtiFrenz: Good shooting range
Kimberly Stanfield: Not impressed by this school, classes are still online when they really need to be in session especially to practice skills. Had non-stop issues. If the nurses don’t want to teach then you need to move along. Need instructors who care and want you to succeed and help you to improve. Teaching yourself is extremely difficult and not what I pay for, I pay for a service. The instructors don’t follow the schools values and missions. Disappointed to say the least. One of the worst customer service interactions. I was given a code from my school to purchase some materials. The code ‘malfunctioned’ according to APEA since the price was lower than what they charge normally. According to them and my school it was my fault the code I was given gave me a bigger discount. I politely responded stating as a business owner I would never track down a customer and harass/threaten them that unless I received the full price I will cancel their order. But my school stated it was my fault thus I have no choice to but pay whatever price or I will fail my class. As a disabled veteran I am deeply hurt of the result of this company and my school.
Ko Meh: The doctors and nurse are really unprofessional. They would make you wait in the room and tell you they would come back but never does. happened to me twice already they told me they were going to come back but never did. so I left the room to see that there was nobody outside. another doctor came up to me and told me that my doctor said I can leave. worst hospital i’ve ever went to.
Emily Istas: It’s not cool here at all
Daniel Johnson: Very polite very knowledgeable
Johnnie F: They're native hospital that chop people up
Sara Klein: I came here for a triangular fracture surgery and was highly impressed with the nurses and doctors. They were very respectful and I was impressed by how well they explained things to me and made me feel comfortable. I hope I never have to come here again but if I do this is the hospital I choose.
Megan Biggerstaff: The admission process for this school is very disorganized. Conflicting messages about needed requirements. I have had better experiences when apply to other nursing schools. With burnout and shortage in the nursing field it’s frustrating how difficult it is to be a nurse
KRYSTAL YOUNG: I was recently a patient here and on the 6th floor in the med unit the nurses were so amazing they were very efficient and caring. The doctor "Doctor Brown" was so awesome he really knew his job and how to treat me ive never had a doctor ive felt so comfortable around I personally have mental illness and I dont feel comfortable in alot of situations I would recommend dr brown to anyone hes amaing at his job. Great job ku at putting your patient first. If I could give this hospital 10 i would.
MATT Mccollom: Not impressed with this hospital I can never get a call back from the doctor or his nurses.
Thom Seelbinder: Been waiting to see a doctor for over 6 hours now. Told multiple nurses my head was in pain and they told me to wait for doctor. I have epilepsy and feel this should have been taken more seriously. Would’ve given a zero star rating if I could’veEdit: over a year later and haven’t heard a single word from this hospital about this incredibly negligent ER Visit! I’m honestly scared for anyone who goes to this hospital with medical issues. They couldn’t care less about you as a patient
Veronica Junquera Romero: Buenos profesionales excelente trato
Jesse: Everyone complaining: This isn’t the hospital. This is the nursing school…
AK GHZT - WRHYDTAR: OMG if theres n I room in the hospital airflight them to Oklahoma Jesus Christ its bot rocket science the privlam is is that peiple dont like people. .
robbie brumby: There's a lot of caring people at this hospital and great views of downtown do you're research before going to any hospital some have more students then actual doctors
Brian Wilson: Great school and a great hospital!
Jackie M: Be aware when you enter the hospital you will be in contact with multiple personnel who are anit-vac people and are unvaccinated from covid. From admitting clerk to insurance clerk to nurse to doctor. From the medical directors to Republican state government (and KUMC is semi- funded by state of Kansas) there is NO DIRECTIVE for their healthcare workers to be vaccinated for covid. No surprise, the state of KANSAS medical chief used to run KUMC and he didn't even bother for healthcare staff to all get flu shots! More money for their ICU I suppose on the backs of ethical staff who got vaccinated!
Melissa Spinks: Worst ER Hospital. Out of my 12 hours being evaluated, there was was one nice Nurse. Rudest Staff I've encountered. They did absolutely nothing for me. I'm still extremely ill with an auto immune disease. I've learned that if ER Doctors or mostly the Medical Field doesn't understand your Diagnosis, you're invisible and unworthy of their time. And the "Paramedics" were by far the worst sub humans I've ever witnessed.
Mary Evans: Best place for a heart patient to go because the teams know how to take care of the patient.
Alice George: Horrible! I'm a court reporter and I was supposed to do a zoom deposition in one of the conference rooms on the 5th floor. I finally found my way to the conference room, and I hooked up my laptop to your unsecured wi-fi, and it immediately started interacting with my computer. All of a sudden windows were opening all over the place. 20 Windows maybe, and my cursor wouldn't work, I couldn't turn anything off, I couldn't shut anything down. It was horrible and very scary. I thought that I was going to have a virus on my computer. When I got home my laptop worked just fine. It was your unsecured Wi-Fi that caused the problem. I'm probably going to lose work from the company who hired me for their court reporter for this deposition because my more than capable laptop that normally works everywhere for zoom, would not work in your conference room.

Saint Luke's College of Health Sciences: what do users think?
marcelina bilombele: Don’t recommend this school at all . Don’t waste your money . Teachers are not very helpful and understanding. Is like they want you to fail . The BSN director is very rude and unprofessional.
Alyssa Becker: DON'T RECOMMEND. They set you up for failure. I have $18,000 in for their nursing program and had to appeal for charges so I can continue my education somewhere else. Almost half my class failed out this semester.
