Brody Mead: These guys have done extensive work on our land that includes a Beautiful Pond that our family will enjoy for years to come. They also cleared out thick timber and put in a around 1200 ft of construction road to our homesite. They communicate, the scheduling was efficient, and if something wasn’t right they are all about making you happy. They are also well equipped and know ponds well beyond just digging a hole and praying it fills. They go the extra mile, dig proper core trenches etc to make sure your pond is beautiful for years to come. My wife and I are very happy with them and glad we chose them for our home.

American Citizens First: I hired Ryan from BulletProof Landworks to cut/grade a swale from the back of my house to the side of the house. The quote he gave me was very reasonable. He also sends out an email on Saturdays to customers with signed future contracts to update them on the schedule ahead - delays or not. Hats off to Ryan for starting his own business too. Overall, a really good experience.

I was pleased with the results then, and so they were my go-to most recently when I decided to have two more piers installed under portions of my house that needed attention. Everybody I have come in contact with has been professional and courteous, and the crew was great. I highly recommend Grant Renne.
Terry Williams: We’ve had a settling problem on our front porch for years. The folks from Grant Renne came out and did an excellent job of putting in some piers to keep everything stable for the future. They were very nice to work with and were priced quite fair compared to some other bids we received. I would highly recommend this company for any structural foundation work.
Susan Sargent: We did an extensive basement repair and were very much aware of disruption to our lives and new basement remodel. We have yet to see Mr. Renne. They tore through our entire basement. All floors (not partial) sheetrock and ceilings had to be redone. We spent as much putting it back as it was for 9k they charged us. They absolutely said would be perimeter. However, what was worse is it took 3 times as long to get done during Covid season. We understood, but the foreman said they could not get people to work. What happened next we certainly should not be responsible for. Our entire upstairs was destroyed. Every seem, sheetrock and taping buckled and was destroyed. We asked for him to please come out and help with a resolution and instead we were bombarded with attorney's correspondence. To date, he has never contacted us 20k later. You only know someone's work ethic when something goes wrong. There are too many professional and qualified basement specialists to take the risk on him. It is not about the work, the delay....it is about the irreparable destruction that it created. Please do not do business with this man.

The company did a great job when it came to scheduling the foundation inspection in June. After that, we emailed back and forth with the admin assistant (who was great!) and were told multiple times across a span of four months that the crew would contact us to schedule the actual foundation repair. The crew never emailed or called and we ultimately decided to look for another company. Very disappointed.

Ruth Robertson: At Mark’s initial visit to assess my old foundation and damp crawl space, I realized I had finally found an honest man who would not try to sell me more than I need. Four other companies advised me that my foundation was in dire need of expensive fixes costing up to $1600.After checking out my crawl space, Mark said, “At some point your foundation had slipped but had been remedied with proper braces on two different occasions and that there had been no additional slipping since those repairs were made. Unfortunately, continued dampness did need to be addressed to prevent future problems. We need to divert rain water to run AROUND your house instead of damming up and seeping UNDER you house.”Jason headed up the crew that did the actual trenching and installation of French drain, raising the entry access to the crawl space and landscaping the dirt to ready it for re-seeding. They did a professional and timely job.Every staff member that I have met at Grant Renne and Sons, whether by phone or in person, has been professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. HURRAH! FIVE STARS.PS. The job cost less than half of the highest bids made by competitors.
Annette Griggs: I have the greatest respect for Grant Renne & Sons. They drilled down and piered our 80 year old house, added an internal French drain in our basement and a sump pump. Their work was wonderful and professional. But perhaps the most impressive quality was Grant Renne’s honest assessment of the work that needed to be done and the cost saving measures he suggested. Very impressive company.
Martin Meulendyke: My 70 year old basement suddenly started leaking after being dry for the previous 14 years I have lived here. I called several foundation repair companies and the first two both recommended $15,000 repairs. Then Mark of Grant Renne came out, and based on his knowledge and experience, recognized that I had a simple clogged sump drain. He told me to call a plumber, which I did, and $400 later my pipe was cleared and my basement was dry again. What a great Christmas present for me and my wife.

Nathan Griffin: I’m a new Midwest homeowner that found out crazy wet Kansas City weather and basements don’t really mix well. Susan Simmons: As a resident of the Willow Ridge Manor subdivision in West Shawnee, KS, I wanted to thank the workers of Kissick Construction for their diligence and attention to detail on the recent project on Silverheel Drive. While construction projects can be disruptive to any location, your staff were always respectful of the thoroughfare which included residents, school buses (Horizon Elementary School) and those who use this street as a cut-through. The property was well marked with signs/cones and the sewers were blocked to prevent debris from falling into the drains. Additionally, your staff cleaned up daily at the end of their shift - ensuring our neighborhood remained beautiful. Please extend to your staff my appreciation for a job professionally/beautifully executed. They showed up daily on time and are hard working individuals. We look forward to the property being developed in the future!
Jesica Thornton: Kissick is currently doing some work at K-state in front of the building I work at. And today I tried to move a big recycle bin up the stairs and not realizing how heavy and unbalanced it was dropped it and everything thing spilled out. Allera B: Not detail oriented. Quality is not their expertise - there were things that were cheaply done and poorly done. Went through 3 project managers during the entire project. We had to pay more to finish our stairs. Already spent thousands of $$$ renovating and replacing cheap stuff. Won’t recommend it! Not a happy customer. Dave Rainey: Homoly built our home almost three years ago and we are extremely happy with the building experience as well as living in a great well built home. Most builders will come back within the first year to follow up on minor issues that come to the attention of the homeowner. Homoly did a fantastic job with that first year but they are still here for us. We had an incident with a chandelier over the weekend that was the fault of the sub. To make a long story short, they had an electrician at our home on a Sunday afternoon. They followed up the next day with a work crew and scaffolding to make sure everything was just right. This is a company that stands behind their products. Highest recommendation!!!

Bryan Brower: Homoly is currently working on “The Tudors” in the KC plaza area, right off 45th and Madison.Where to begin...This company has no regard for the area or residents around them. They certainly don’t understand what private property is and are careless of the condition they leave the area immediately adjacent to their site.First, they’ve left a handful of 2-3 foot deep potholes on the only alley road that many residents in the area use. These pots cut a single lane alley down even more causing cars to bottom out and tire damage. They finally filled in the pot holes after 3 months. Clearly there isn’t project management onsite or caring enough of their surroundings to address this issue.Next, they apparently have no regard for private property. They routinely would park their work trucks and personal vehicles behind private residential parking spaces making it nearly impossible to get in and out of. To make matters worse on multiple occasions they would have a work truck parked in the residential spots themselves. Again, it’s clear project management doesn’t take their job seriously.Furthermore, I had personally spoken to the project manager and he assured me the parking issues would stop. That very afternoon, I came home to a work truck parked in my stall. The project manager then blamed it on a lanaguage barrier with his Mexican subcontractors.It seems that this company has a habit of not being able to take responsibility and making excuses. They lack maturity, professionalism, and common sense.If this seems unreasonable, I work for a construction company that has projects 5 times as big as this so I understand the hurdles projects have to go through to accommodate local residents.

Roofing and we had a great experience working with Daren Haas and Kevin Miller (as superintendents), and Anthony (as foreman) on a big project at the Nevada Schools (High School, Middle School, Elementary School and Tech Center). Unfortunately we had some issues with some other employees, which don't need to be mentioned here because each company has some rotten apples, but moreover it was a good company to work with.I look forward to working with them at other places too.

The steps Fran proposed seemed the most effective and prudent of all the bids we received for this project. Price was in line with other bids too. I wish we had been prepared for how long it took, as it went several days past what they initially told us. Also I wish they hadn’t left us with so much dust to clean up, or at least that I was better prepared for the clean up task.
