Breakout KC Escape Room | River Market: what do users think?
Hollie Curtis: We had a blast, didn't make it out but we were close! Highly recommend. We will be back!
Allie Vo: My boyfriend and I went for my birthday and it was a blast! Our guide Elio was essential to our amazing experience: they were patient and professional but also incredibly friendly and full of energy even though we came in at the last possible slot of the day. The escape room itself was extremely immersive and I was very hooked on the storyline. The puzzles were super fun and clever but manageable; both my boyfriend and I haven’t been to escape rooms for a while but we scrambled our way out just on time. Overall I highly recommend Breakout KC, this is a really good way to spend an hour with your loved ones.
Jennifer Konstantinidou: Me and my friends went there for a nice afternoon trip and It was a lot of fun. Ellio was a great game master!
Luka Hardesty: Willow is the BEST
Josalynm Johnson: It was so much fun. Willow was really helpful with the hints and he was really respectful. He is such a blessing to have him help us in our times of need
MilkyWay Productions: I had such a great time and my experience was made all the better by our fabulous host willow
Kari Ellis: Was a great experience
Brandon Forrest Frederick: Willow rocked!
Nichole Gress: We had so much fun- we did 2 rooms back to back and escaped them both! Room 213 and Hero! Props to our game guides Ryn and Ollie!
David Reinert: We had a great time at this establishment. We will definitely be back
Daniel Seitz: We did the Matchday Mayhem room and it was GREAT! Jules was super helpful and we had a blast breaking out! I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!
Christy Kim: First experience in an escape room, I loveddddd it! Locks, puzzles, and finished just in the nick of ⏲️ Jules was amazing and helpful
Brad Kelly: Jules was amazing. Highly recommend
Gabriel Orrico: Willow did a great job!
Madisen Orrico: Willow helped us breakout! We had so much fun!
Alexis Jones: I’ve been to breakout KC many times and this was one of my best experiences! Our Game Guide Elio was so friendly and overall amazing! We had a great time in room Patient 57, and made it out with 33 seconds to spare!
Samantha Buehrig: Elio was the best!! We had an amazing time. We’ll definitely be back again.
Kaiya Lynch: My group and I had a great time at Breakout KC. Telly was a wonderful host and gave us the best clues, without them we wouldn’t have made it out in time 😂
Charles Helms: My first time doing an escape room and I had so much fun! Tuesday was an excellent facilitator and helped make the experience great.
Joscelyn Delatorre: It was very fun!!! Quynh was also an amazing guide :)
Martha Delatorre: Came in with the family to do “The Hero”, 10/10 super fun and had great little surprises the more you progress. We had the sweetest game guide helping us when we needed a nudge, thanks Quynh!

Escape Room KC in Union Station: what do users think?
Aunica McMullen: The room was lots of fun! It was challenging and had lots of twists and turns we don’t expect.A few non-room related twists and turns that we didn’t expect, was how truly rude the staff was. We took a group of middle school girls in for a bonding activity and were appalled with how rude a staff member was to us. They were obviously bothered by our business. I’ve done other escape rooms in the past that are so excited to have fun with you while you’re there. Not these folks. They couldn’t wait to get us our the door. Well, our business is out the door too. Treating customers like a wild inconvenience (especially when they are polite), is just sad.
Rhonda Shelton: It was a great time and Nevaeh was wonderful at helping with the DaVinci room & the Dream room. Thanks for giving us a great experience, Nevaeh!
Crystal Hammer: One of the best escape rooms! Did the Da Vinci Code room and made it just in the nick of time! Nevaeh was so helpful and patient! Thanks for a great time!
Adrienne Gapter: We had an incredible experience. Nevaeh and Lane were THE BEST. We are new to the escape room world. We got excellent instructions from Lane, Nevaeh gave thoughtful assistance when we needed it without giving us the answer directly. I highly recommend this place. On-line registration was easy and everything is extremely well thought out and organized.
Ashley Fullerton: We’re out of towners who really love escape rooms, and I have to highly recommend the Dream room, it was so cool and interactive! Gus and Nevaeh were our hint-givers and they did an awesome job of pointing us in the right direction. Thanks guys!
Molly Tyler: SOSOSOSO FUN!! My first escape room and it was nice to hear that we did pretty well Lance was our guide and i couldn’t say more how much he made the experience all the better
Wyle Potter: Josiah was amazing!
Artemio Perez: Incredible nice experience thank you very much for everything:)!
Angela Miles: I had never been to an escape room before so had no idea what to expect. Escape Room KC did not disappoint. It was so much fun and engaging for the entire family! Will definitely go again and recommend to all.
Tyson Wiens: Great escape room experience. Complex and challenging but still very fun! Nevaeh was very friendly and welcoming.
Maranda Lole: Super fun! This was our first escape room ever and it was a fun experience. We did the first two rooms and escaped! The staff is kind and friendly, the rooms are pretty challenging, we will be going back soon the do the last and hardest room soon
Sarah: My friends and I do a lot of escape rooms and we had a great time with this one. In my experience, what makes an escape game truly great is the enthusiasm and excitement from the hosts, and Zoe and Lane were excellent examples of that good attitude from the time we entered to the time we got out. Would definitely come again!
Mary Braun: Great fun! Very difficult!
Dustin Turner: Denver was awesome. Very professional.
Roaming Tigress: Want a challenge? There’s no shortage here! We’ve done two rooms here. We sadly, didn’t escape either time. The takeaway from this is don’t bite up more than u can chew!!!We won’t next time! 🎉😆 since we can’t take photos inside u get the pleasure of just seeing our investigative team!!Oh btw we all thought one of the rooms had far too much going on. The room also needed some things fixed since they were broke. Def would’ve helped if we had working parts 💔Happy escaping!!
Robbin Schmidt: Our office escaped from all three rooms! Everyone had a great time. I would recommend!
John Collins: There is nothing original about these rooms. The room we did was the same as the one we saw advertised in Omaha. They must buy these things from a kit. This place put an unique spin on it by being rude and having broken props.
Samantha Shivers: So fun! Did the da Vinci room and we didn't get it all the way but still had a blast!
Webmistrish Wyatt: Had a blast
Jamie Bishop: Very fun adventure. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely we visiting again to do a different room. This was our first experience with escape rooms it was challenging yet fun. We got out with 8 minutes to spare yay us!
Camille Lopez: The employees Denver, Blaine, and Mateo did a great job at explaining the escape room and helping give us clues while we were in there! We finished the Sherlock Holmes room with two minutes to spare. It was difficult but so much fun! We will definitely be back!

THE BASEMENT: A Live Escape Room Experience: what do users think?
Blake Holden: 15/10, the new Basement Unhinged room is even better than The Basement or The Study. Buy your tickets. Go with your friends. Let yourself get into it, it's so much fun. So many screams and laughs
Stephanie C: Highly recommend. Was creepy and fun at the same time. Live actors were a fun addition to an escape room.
McKenzie Williams: Hard to locate. Great place with detailed interior
Ahmaud Carson: The staff are really friendly and really good at acting and they make it a real challenge and the words they use make it really suspenseful like there's an actual killer on the loose that's mentally crazy and to Alex one of the actors you are amazing at acting and giving hints and very friendly everyone else too by far the best time of my life
Mackenzie Keintz: I have done a lot of escapes rooms, and this has been by far my favorite. The theme is on point from the moment you enter the building even before the game started. Excellent actors to guide you into the room from the very beginning. The room is appropriately creepy, if you don’t like scary thing this may not be the room for you. The mechanics of the room are excellent with a nice combination of physical locks and mechanical effects. The room progresses in a logical way without having to make large logical leaps to solve puzzles. Overall, this was an excellent game and would recommend it!
Kayci Harris: My son, grandson and myself had a GREAT time. I was VERY hesitant to participate but it was so much fun. Communication was the key and once we got going, we caught on. Did we make it through, NO. I am afraid we were “killed”. Lol. Would go back for sure!
sheena bryant: Hands down best escape room!! We have been in over 10 escape rooms and this is by far the best hands down! Captivating, thought provoking and absolutely a great time!! Our family and teens loved it!! Actors were phenomenal!!
Cayce Palmer: We took a group of 16 year olds for my Sons Birthday. The staff was AMAZING, and the kids had a blast. They all can't wait to go back!
Julie Schwed: We had a great time, the staff/actors were great!
William Gillmore: So awesome, this was the best one we have been to So far
B. H.: Came here for my son birthday and absolutely loved it. Was better than most escape rooms we have done. Staff was friendly and live actors were engaging! Absolutely a blast!!!!! Worth the drive and time!!
Aiden McGrath: My group has a large amount of escape rooms stuck in our pocket, but this was another level. You started actually feeling like you were stuck there, and the actor was extraordinary! We decided to book the study for tonight! Cant wait to continue our terrible horror story.
Ryan Groth: ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! The Basement Unhinged is definitely top notch! I did the basement and the study at their old location and this definitely beats them! Our actor “Alex” was absolutely amazing! She was all in it and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! Can’t wait for their new rooms that are coming soon! Thank you guys again we will definitely be back! 3
Brandon Carter: Had plans on my wife’s birthday to go and we had some issues due to weather and babysitter not being able to make it.Later on we reached out and I was totally surprised to get rescheduled as the terms clearly state if make reservation and not make it no refunds. Thanks Blake for getting us taken care of! Can’t wait to experience with wife and friends!
Ashley Kelsey: This was myself and my brothers first escape room experience. It was absolutely phenomenal. They really know how to make sure you are terrified in the beginning. The actor was absolutely amazing. I recommend to everyone!!!
Fonda Trusskey: We have done 3 different rooms with this company and absolutely love the challenge, creativity, and extra excitement of the live actor!
Lady Poki: Super fun! Highly recommended. Was my first escape room and they were very friendly. Wonderful actors and scenery!
Tiny Kent: Was super fun had a blast.... I love you Toby 😍
Teresa Mears: We had so much fun we talked about it for hours after we were finished. The live actor was incredible and really made the experience better. An exceptionally well executed game! We are definitely going back!!
Leah Hicks: My friends and I love escape rooms. We did the two at their old location in the west bottoms. Now they're on Grand. So we did an escape room at this location. Staff is always great and do a great job in the rooms. Very friendly and welcoming. P S. We won and made it out on time. Definitely recommend going here.
Cody: Amazing experience. Can't believe it's not more well know.

Tick Tock Escape Room: what do users think?
Bradley Ames: Great staff! It was our first time and the staff was WAY more than helpful! Worth the price. Would do again.
Samantha: We come from Reno NV and completed almost all of the escape rooms in Reno-Sparks, a few in Utah and also just recently completed a room in Missouri and yet we have never seen a room like these ones here. We completed the Beasley one first and it was fun, but the Pyramid was a huge disappointment! It was the most poorly thought out room. It was almost like there was no way to actually figure out what to do unless they told you the next step and even the directions on one part of it was super confusing. We asked for one clue but then they continued to type hints and guide us through when we didn't ask for it. (No rooms we have ever done had monitors for communication) It felt almost like a game of how well can you read directions rather then use your own brain and clues in the room to figure out whats next. We didnt even get 3 min in on something before they were giving more hints. And never before have we had someone come into our room to help us! (Because their sticker pictures looked identical with legit one tiny difference, which they could have just told us on the screen they were using the whole time) In ALL the rooms we have completed before we only ever needed 1 maybe 2 hints and some rooms we didnt beat because they were truly tough. Also in most rooms puzzles are only solved/used once so we were completely confused there as well. That and they gave us an extra few minutes toward the end to what "help us" feel like we won. That's a complete disappointment. Not to sound rude but I'd rather just lose then have someone hold my hand and give then me a participation trophy. The staff is always great and super nice and Beasleys was fun (also had more hints then we asked for tho) but this room in particular did not sit well with us. Needless to say we probably won't go back for the other few they have.
David Drees: Loved it. Did the pyramid one and it was great. Very nice staff. Will do the other ones also. Thanks guys
Jonathon R: We drove from Georgia and decided to make a pit stop at Tick Tock Escape Rooms to experience the Pyramid Paradox. We are enthusiasts and love a well designed and thought out game. This experience has a healthy mix of logic, physical and interactive puzzles. We have played many games and this for sure ranks in our Top 10 games. Don't let the size full you, this room packs in the WOW factor! Great job to ownership and the amazing girl that ran our game! 10⭐️'s
Thomas Jenkins: Enjoyed the theme and atmosphere.
blahmeli: Had a fun time trying to solve the puzzle. Was able to do with niece and nephew as well (with hints!).
Meisha T: I had so much fun!!
Lisa Tarbell: So much fun! Great for my 11 year old's birthday party!!
Kayla Scott: We had a group of 5th graders do Pyramid Paradox. The hints and clues were timely and they had a blast. The effects were wonderful. Fantastic escape room!
Joe Dix: Found this review on the College Boulevard Business Center google page....Went to "Tick Tock Escape Room" and it is fantastic. Did the "Pyramid Paradox" with family. All had a great time! Can't wait to try "Beasley's Billions". Did the CIA escape room. Had a great time also. Highly recommend this place. -KK confirmed! Now they have 5 different themes!
Adam: Rooms were clean, Game Master's were very nice and made the experience pleasant. Definitely recommend.
jenneu uennej: fun. team winner has won, imagine that!! #idontlose
Mitzi Tate: Great family fun
Arianna Brewer: The escape room was the perfect mix of logic and fun. Tried out the space force room and can't wait to go again.
Rachel Ritter: We had so much fun solving the "Beasley's Billions" room, it was so well put together! Can't wait to try the other rooms soon 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Sadie Kratzer: The group I was with had a fantastic time using one of the escape rooms a few weeks back. The special effects are fantastic and fully engage you in the scenario, 10/10 way to spend your time and the staff are so nice
Lay H: I Just Went For My Birthday. We Did The Pyramid Paradox Room & Had Soooo Much Fun! I’m Definitely Going Back Again! Oh Yea.. & We ESCAPED !
Erica Register: We did the Egypt room. I had such a good time and the staff was AWESOME.
Caitlin McMillian: We did my daughter’s 10th birthday party here, and it could not have been more fun!! The staff was so nice and helpful, the escape room was awesome, and the kids had an absolute blast in the party room! I am so glad we book the party room. They had it all set up for us, there is a kitchen for any food you bring in, and best of all, karaoke!! Highly recommend Tick Tock for a birthday party or just a fun afternoon at an escape room!
Tan N: Had my daughter's birthday party. The escape rooms were great. The best thing was the party room. It can be added on to an escape room and can hold a large group. Didn't see many pictures of the room so decided to attach them to this review. The owner gave us a tour of upcoming rooms. Overall the owner is a great host and very fun. Recommend this place for parties and team building events.
Dale MacKinney: Really enjoyed this Egyptian themed escape room. Did it with my ten year old, another about ten year old and his parents. Good amount of puzzles for 5 people. Got out with just 18 seconds to spare. Got some cool effects and ideas. Don't be afraid to ask for a few hints along the way. Worth checking out!

Full Moon Escape: what do users think?
Brandy Golightly: We had an adventurous and extremely fun time doing our escape! We cant wait to come back in September for the next. The staff was excellent and helpful. If you need something fun to do....book it now!
Sheila Alonzo: Great family experience. This was our first escape room and we were pleased. The staff was extremely welcoming and explained the rules in good detail. Would highly recommend.
Hugh Yang: Best ever! Good setting, hard puzzles and very fun to solve!
Ke Hui Chuah: Love this place as it is housed in an old building with creepy vibes. Over the course of the year that we were here my husband and I have tried all 4 rooms including the newest one (Dentist), and they were all fantastic. The Manhattan Project was difficult but also my favourite so far. The staff are always friendly and know just when to help.
Niki Huff: We ended up doing two rooms since they were so much fun. The staff was super nice and helpful and the rooms had great puzzles and a well define story flow.
Heather Newsome: This escape room experience was the most immersive escape room we have ever been to. We have done 30+ rooms and this one was definitely the most interactive and immersive!!! We absolutely loved it!!!
Octo K3: We did an escape room here about a month ago. It's so weird to see the place when it's not Halloween season! 😆 Our game master was very friendly and we had a great time doing the room! Definitely want to come back to try the others!
Glorox Voxln: We had a great escape room experience! The employees were passionate about their job and made the experience memorable. The location is also a haunted house for a good amount of the year creating a thrilling atmosphere. We did the dentist escape room and it was very well made with cool and well implemented puzzles! 10/10 experience
Erica Petersohn: We did the Merlin room and had a great time! I definitely recommend you check it out!
Andrea Dunn: We came here over the weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a group of 6 with 4 first timers. It was an amazing time. Bruno met us at the stairs and was a great host! He explained everything and even took a few minutes just to chat with us. We did their newest room about the dentist, and plan to come back and do the Manhattan Project one next!Seriously, this place is great! The manager that we met at the end was super friendly as well! I definitely recommend and I can't wait to go back!!
AmazingSpaceBacon: Oh my gosh I cannot recommend this place more! Me and my family went for our first time and did the dentist escape room. The atmosphere and puzzles are so unique and make you feel great when solved. The employees are very informative and very kind and helpful. Definitely worth your time :)
Angela Bach: The Ghosts of Merlin was so cool! Highly recommend for ages 10 and up!
Christopher Organ: We had an absolute blast. My sister and I frequently go to escape rooms and this one is really unique. We have done The Manhattan Project and Dr. Boyles Dentistry, so far. The staff has been extremely friendly and accomodating which always makes for a great experience. Definitely would like to complete the other rooms and will be keeping an eye out for if and when new rooms become available.
Shay Rogers: Amazing escape room. So well done!!!! Puzzles are unique and fun. The Merlin room was so much fun we ended up doing the dentistry the same day. People were so nice and enthusiastic about the work they put into their rooms. Such an amazing experience. Leagues better than any other escape room Ive done so far (including breakout). I cant rave enough about this place!!!
TheChaotic Mommy: Super fun and challenging! Can't wait to do more rooms including the new bank one coming!
Cloey Adrian: it was so fun!! the ghost of merlin was great and everyone was super cool and made the experience awesome for the kiddo!
Kenzie Moore: (Dentist Room)Hands down LOVED the room I experienced. So much so, that I can’t wait to try the rest! This room was so immersive and offered plenty of adrenaline moments! You never felt “bored” with the flow, as you are constantly needing to do something. I’m thrilled that a Haunted House company is adding the Escape Rooms and wish they could add more! We truly need a “Horror/Haunted Escape Room” someday!
Nick McInturf: Amazing experience. The room was way beyond what I expected(Ghost of Merlin).
Lee Anne Botts: My daughters and I loved it!!!! The escape room was great and the staff were great as well
Melody Davis: Our kids had a great time in the Merlin's Ghost Room. The staff were very kind and welcoming and it was a fun place for our son's birthday! They do not have party rooms and did not respond at all to our messages asking about that. One note: I recommend not prepaying for a large group unless you are okay paying for people who get sick and can't attend. You can only reschedule the entire group on a reservation or no one at all.The Merlin's Ghost room was really fun. Not scary at all, but mysterious - and being in the old historic building gave it a very special atmosphere. The room had some really fun elements and hidden extras that made it exciting.I would definitely recommend this room as one teens/tweens could solve on their own or a great first escape room for families with kids. It isn't too hard, but is still lots of fun.Kids can actually help find and solve many of the clues in the Merlin Room. We had a group of four young teens and a few adults. We thought it would be harder and were out within around 30 minutes. It was a lot of fun, but we would not have rushed so much on this one had we known it was so much easier. There were still challenging parts, just no need to rush. The other rooms sound much harder - we've known some large groups of adults who didn't escape them, so we will be back in the future to try the Tool Room or the Manhattan Project. The Merlin's Ghost room was not scary. There were a few areas with black lights, but nothing scary at all - just fun. Would definitely recommend it for kids. The staff was also very kind after the room was solved. They gave us time to let our kids talk about their experience and hang out for a few minutes to wish my son a happy birthday. One thing we were disappointed in was that part of our party got sick and could not attend. We knew there were no refunds, just reschedules, but it wasn't clear on the website that after prepaying, you would have to reschedule the *entire* group if *part* of the group couldn't come. So, when you are prepaying for reservations, keep that in mind. You cannot reschedule some of who you prepaid for. You have to reschedule everyone or no one.I recommend not prepaying for a large group unless you are okay paying for people who get sick and can't attend. You can add people to your reservation later, but you can't reschedule just one person or even half of your prepaid group. Our choices were to either cancel for everyone and reschedule the whole party (and it was my son's birthday, so that would be pretty disappointing), to find someone last minute to fill the empty spot, or just lose the $30 we prepaid. We called the business office and asked for a credit for the sick person or to reschedule the one person who was sick to another day, but they would not do that. So, we ended up paying for a spot we didn't use, which at $30 per person for 30 minutes was very disappointing. This was already a stretch for our budget. We invited a parent with our group to step in to use the spot, and the experience was fun, but I wouldn't prepay for more than 2-3 people in the future. So, my advice: get a reservation for just a few people (since you have to prepay to reserve a specific room and time slot), and then add on to your reservation on the day of to be sure you don't pay for anyone who can't come. Unless your budget is looser than ours and you don't mind paying $30 extra for something you can't use.The other thing that could improve was that there needs to be reflective tape on the low spots where you bend down to get through - two people hit their heads thinking they had cleared it in the dark.Other than that, we definitely recommend it.
Sara H: We completed the Ghost of Merlin over the weekend. I don't know if my group is pretty smart or if this room was easy but we completed it in less than 30 mins! Actually, it was disappointing that we completed it so quickly. We will definitely be back for the others. The fact that these rooms are part of the haunted house attraction is pretty cool!

Escape House Kansas City: what do users think?
Kelsey L (captainfiveous): Love our experience here! Employees are kind and helpful, rooms are clean, and it was an overall great time!
Chris Miller: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Value
charms Mosby: It was fun and the lady was really nice have to be on time tho
Misty Nance: Very disappointed. Our room wasn’t properly set up which left us without a piece of the puzzle. It was this missing information that I think reveals a bigger flaw in how this room was run. At about 40 min in we were completely stumped and we asked for our third hint. We were then told something that was written on the wall. I relayed that we needed something else (which will not be named in case someone reading this decides to brave dealing with this company) because we already knew what that hint was telling us (that and it was literally written on the wall). The hint was repeated and I asked for more help because otherwise we’d be standing around until the clock ran out. The clue was repeated again so we were sure that we needed to revisit the clues. After circling back and knowing that we weren’t going to get any additional help, we spent the last 10 min staring at each other waiting for the clock to run out. When it did, our game master came in and during the explanation discovered that the room hadn’t been reset with all the clues. “Sorry I didn’t reset the room, but I can get you a free game.”What I took away from this is that she had a script of what she was allowed to say and couldn’t deviate from it. And that she wasn’t really watching what we were doing (or even that I’d specifically told her we were missing X). I’ve been through at least 15 escape rooms and this is the only one that stopped communicating after the allotted clues were given. Every other company had a policy that caused some type of penalty for additional help. This one let us stand around after saying we were stuck. As for whether she was watching us? She wasn’t. At some point we couldn’t reach her on the walkie talkie so I stood waving my arms at the camera.Later while our “free game coupon” was being issued I asked how I could get a refund. Because we purchased through Groupon she couldn’t offer refunds. (*Note: a teammate purchased so I am not able to personally reach out to Groupon).Overall, I can understand rooms aren’t always set up properly. But we knew what we were missing, then asked for it, and still didn’t get an appropriate hint. I’m hoping my team mate can get a refund through Groupon because even with a free game coupon, I have no intention of returning.
Tyler Strouhal: I’ve tried both Nanny’s Condo and the detectives room, both include magnets that were broken or over used and extremely weak.. when asked to demonstrate the remainder of the room, the host couldn’t even get the magnets to work, and left us with “trust me it works”... so we had no chance of breaking out and we didn’t receive a refund.. so just a bad experience and a waste of money and time because there was no way for us to solve the room..
Danielle A Hunt: It was fun but it was also very confusing. You didn't know which part you were trying to solve it was all just kind of thrown together. I know we had the hardest room but it was still very confusing. We had a lot of extremely intelligent people with us and we still didn't win or beat the clock.
Shawn Radovich: I've done close to 30 rooms around the country. At this escape room, we did the detective's office and flood the city. Of all the rooms we have done, these are easily the worst 2 rooms that we've done. The detective's office has 7 clues for the hour and you spend most of the hour looking at each other and scratching our heads. The clues don't flow well and aren't inventive.Flood the city is slightly better, but still doesn't flow and you need you hints to really progress through the room.I would recommend going to any other escape room in KC instead of this one.
Cole Grann: I did the Detective office and thought it was a blast. Everything about the room flowed perfectly, with the clues and the cool contraptions the room brought. I Would definitely recommend you to come to this escape house, if you and your friends or family need something to do. I had a blast and I cant wait to comeback and do another room!
Brock & Sarah: Nothing real creative about it. Clues were odd and not given to the whole room but one person over the phone. When you called back for clarity they counted that against your number of clues. The girl running it was also all over the place. No one at the front desk to take our final items too so we lost time and weren’t given it back. It’s also hard to find when you get to the arena. Compared to the other escape rooms in KC this has to be the worst. It just wasn’t fun and I’ve never been to an escape room that wasn’t fun.
Alex Brack: WOW! What an AWESOME experience. I came here with my professional wrestling and close friends and we ROCKED it! Rooms were super challenging but fun. The host/greeter, I believe Rumer was her name, RUMER HAS IT, was very welcoming from the get go and super helpful with all the hints. Nana's Condo was a challenge, but with my group, we got out just in the nick of time. I highly recommend this place and definitely will come back with an even bigger group of people so we can race each other. I had no idea they had identical rooms!!
Kam B: Accessing the escape room was very difficult at the arena. It was difficult figuring out where to park. I chose one of the more difficult rooms. We expected it to be challenging, but after figuring out some of the clues it was difficult executing the action to get to the next step. Just to be clear my group is not new to escape rooms. Also the clues we were given weren't very helpful. We were given the exact clue that was on the wall. The space is pretty nice and has a lot of potential though.
Alexandria Mathos: Rooms were fun, clues were unique, staff was incredible! Very kind and had lots of fun! Will come back again!!
Rumer Harrington: I love this place! Amazing unique rooms and a fun atmosphere!! Will definitely be returning to complete other rooms.
M J: Flood the City, an ok room, don't pay full price. I've done 6 escape rooms now and this one ranks towards the bottom. We all agreed the theme is odd. It's much closer to some jungle safari where we lost our animals than a terrorist plot. Theme: 1/5.Props: I've done rooms with amazing props. Where you're wondering where they got all these things and they really help to immerse you in the theme. Props in this room are basic and not impressive. Props: 1/5. Dynamic: I've done rooms where chandeliers lower from the ceiling, walls mechanical slide open, air ducts pop open... this room features nothing like that. There's nothing that makes you go "oh cool". Dynamic: 2/5.Puzzles; there are no dexterity type challenges in this one. Puzzles are challenging and take quite the analysis to figure out. It has a 14% success rate. Definitely a hard one. Puzzles 4/5.
Natalie Reeves: Did the detective's office and the clues and puzzles we needed to solve didn't flow with one another. We didn't escape in time. The game master told us what we needed to do to escape, but wouldn't show us. Every escape room I've done that I haven't completed (2 failed) they've always shown us, "if you do this, this thing opens, then this happens" etc... I've done numerous escape rooms and this was my least favorite.
Nathaniel Thomas: It was fun. Once you find it and make your way down to he tunnels we had a fun time in the room and cracked the case!
Latrice Cobbins: The ceiling was dripping in the room and it had black mold otherwise it was OK
Brandi Horton: Super fun
Jordan Laytham: Didn't crack the code in time, but they were so nice and let us stay a little longer to figure it out! I will be back very soon. Definitely worth the money and it's a great time to spend with family and friends.
Dustin Heino: Because the Escape House is inside of Hyvee Arena, it could be a little tricky to find. Park in lot B on the east side of the building, and enter the main entrance. There was an attendant at the console when we entered, and he pointed us down a set of stairs behind his console. Once down the stairs, we took a right down a hallway and found the entrance to Escape House about 30 yards down the hall. The Escape House itself was great! We did "Flood the City" as a group of 5 and found it very challenging. We were told it was the hardest room of the three they offer, and I'd believe it! In the end we managed to escape and got to add our names to the wall full of escapees. A perfect way to have fun on a HOT day.
