German Consulate of Kansas City: what do users think?
Marc - André Walther: Perfekte Unterstützung und Service!
Alexander Vazansky: Friendly, helpful, and efficient. This was a great experience. Having this option in driving distance rather than having to fly to Chicago was a great relief.
Annette Burkes: Great service, fast and reliable. Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Susanne: People were super friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend going there.
CT Jaeger: I needed to renew my Reissepass and contacted the Consulate. They provided detailed instructions on what documents were needed. Once they were gathered, I emailed copies to them. Once they assured me that I had everything necessary, I went online and scheduled an appointment.I got to my appointment early and they immediately went to work ensuring that everything was in order. They made certified copies of my documents - it is very time consuming to replace documents from 60 years ago - and double checked that everything was there. Then I paid and the application was mailed off. They couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent and efficient service.
Grant Gowen: Thank you for all your help
Stefanie Dwyer: Great service. Fast and friendly. Always responding promptly to any questions regarding paperwork etc.
Geoffrey Carlley: Wonderful, friendly ,accurate and quick correspondence!!!
Oliver Glessner: It was a great customer service! Prima!
Diamonds Forever: Rolf was himself all through the process, honest and respectful. Appreciate it. 😉👌🏾
Uly Gift: So easy and laid back. Way easier than Chicago! Thanks Patrick
david nadja: Very knowledgeable and professional. Thanks for your help.
Michael Hempel: Absolutely Five Stars! Let's start with the obvious: The services provided here save me a long and costly trip to Chicago for things like passport renewals. Fantastic! But more importantly, the place is easy to find, the services are top notch (you can get your notarized copies made on-site, the photos taken, etc.) and consul Snyder and the team are super friendly and accommodating to changes and unforeseen events (we had a flat tire on the way in and consul Snyder supported us in every way.)
Anika Pippin: Very friendly and efficient! My passport appointment was scheduled for an hour, but we were done after less than 25 minutes.
Janice Butler: Efficient and friendly!
Nina McKenna: So helpful on renewing my passport! You made it easy.
Regina Brown: Very efficient and helpful
Manu Tague: Before i visited the German Consulate personally, i had multiple times e -mail contact regarding questions to Beibehaltungsgenehmiging and such. Mr. Snyder always took the time to answer promptly and effectively. When i finally had to drive to the office to renew my German passport , i felt very welcomed . Mr. Snyder was very professional, polite and knowledgeable regarding other questions too. He took the time to advise me regarding an issue with the Beibehaltungs application again, which was very helpful for me. Patrick, another staff member, helped me through the process of getting my paper work organized with humor and pure friendliness. All together it was a very pleasant time in the office of the German Consulate, thank you both so much. It was worth a 4 hour drive time.😊Regards, Manu Tague
Martin Man: Efficient and friendly service. Saved me a trip to Chicago. Answered several questions via email before appointment.
Christina Hall: We arrived to our appointment a little early and was taken care of immediately to get through the paperwork for our sons passport everything was well explained and the consulate officer was super friendly and helpful!
Mike Nickel: Friendly and quick service!

Consulate of Mexico in Kansas City: what do users think?
arturo perez: Después de 3 intentos de obtener la matrícula consular, esta vez al intentar imprimirla no se logró por fallas en la base de datos del programa.
Gustavo Camarena: Professional attention to public, great experience.
Michael luce (Tine): Lovely staff.
B King: Terrible with communication and prioritizing anything customer service related. Even with simple bits of information. Not to mention, we’ve personally been misinformed multiple times at this consulate. It’s easier to contact the consulates in Nevada or Arizona. Which is completely outrageous.
Ramon Andrade: Me gusta que se trajeron la burocracia de Mexico. Para no extrañar.
Angelica Rivera: Todo bien Gracias a Dios, hay buena atención de parte de las personas que atienden ahí y también ayuda
Chori Mendez: MUY BUENAS PERSONAS MUY AMABLES NADA QUE VER CON AÑOS ATRAS
ShyLeo1990: These people never answer the phone and they never have appointments available online. I've called for 1-2 months and tried to get an appointment. My addit stamp will expire with my passport and they do not care. At this point, I want to complain to whoever overseas this place because they are not doing their job. 🤷
Estela Manzano Flores: Me gustó ir aquí. Son amables y fue muy rápido.
Carlos Alberto Huato Peñaloza: Excelente servicio
Ricardo Hernández: El peor servicio que tenemos en esto consulado

Carley S: Excellent bar service and helpful staff! Rooms were lacking: muggy, loud and insufficient AC. However, I’d rather pay for high quality service over high quality room on short trips. No self parking, expensive valet.Walkability: Great locale.
Kevin Lowry: Rooms: GreatNearby activities: It's a lot of things various activities Power and Light District a little bit of everythingSafety: Very safe security and police patrolFood & drinks: Food Service there and walkable restaurants everywhere Crossroads districts Power and LightNoteworthy details: Great complimentary breakfast
Kevin Escobar: A lot of homeless around the area. Otherwise very clothes to the power & light district.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5 …More
cindy finah: This is not a superior hotel. The valet was so nice. The room is the size of a closetDefinitely not a 5 star hotelRooms: Small small smallView of dirty alley, trash.
Nathaniel Kane: Disappointed in my stay. Multiple amenities listed on the website were not available, as well as incorrect hours for the restaurant, as three different closing times were available to see. 24-hour room service advertised, but no room service available. When locked out of the hotel on Friday night, no signage to indicate that the mobile key would not open the door. Had to call the front desk 3 times to get back in and was met with a very rude agent that would not provide me with a physical key because I had "made my choice". Room was fine, only reason I didn't give it 1 star, but it felt like a bait-and-switch from the Marriott website and dealing with the rude front desk clerk on the evening of 5/5.
Katheren Minter: Nice building a friend of ours lives there
Danielle Ogden: Wonderful hotel! Front desk staff was amazing, particularly Vanity. She helped me check in, storing my luggage when my room wasn't ready and then had a stash of a variety of bandaids when I got blisters on my heels from walking around the city in dress shoes. Rooms were gorgeous and handicap accessible!Walkability: About a 5 to 10 minute walk to the convention center. Many walkable restaurants and great downtown area.
Della MIller: This hotel is absolutely luxurious. The front desk staff greet you with incredible smiles and are extremely attentive. The valet staff are also incredible, responsive and their customer service is top notch. The bar and front lobby is breathtaking.I had a King Bed room. What made this experience extra special was the bartender - Ishmael. His passion for mixology, creating his own bitters, paying attention to layers of flavors on drinks and engaging with us at the bar really made this stay extra special and a place I cannot wait to bring my entire work crew. I will absolutely return on my next visit to Kansas City!Nearby activities: Fabulous restaurants, Irish Pubs within walking distance. I went to Bristol for dinner!Walkability: You have to approach this hotel in your vehicle on the correct side of the road, thats the only thing I had to get right each time.Food & drinks: Breakfast was okay, I didnt try dinner.Bar was FABULOUS. Relaxing, romantic, soft jazz playing low lights.Noteworthy details: I stayed in the contemporary side Im dying to find out what the other rooms are like.
Andrew George: really great spot, great atmosphere, rooms were brighter than most autographs. Great staff, valet on point, same with the desk. I do wish that i could give it a 4.75 because my only complaint was that the steak soup had no steak. But i will round up because it was such a nice stay.
Lauren Harak: This is one of our FAVORITE hotels. The staff alone makes the hotel magical. Sheri at the bar is one the sweetest and most talented bartenders we've ever met and her customer service is just out of this world. Staying at the hotel is worth it just to have Sheri make you a drink.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Rowe Family: The hotel room was so so. To me the nicest person was actually the valet. As soon as we arrived the valet was very attentive. That's pretty much where the service stopped. We walked in the door immediately. Someone yelled, when I say, yelled, I mean HOLLERED, "Hello, are you a guest here?" I was being profiled. It was like everyone in the lobby turned and looked at us. The worker then left from behind the counter while she was assisting another customer, with a line behind that customer. She left them, and the line, came over to me and my daughter who didn't even get a chance to sit in the lobby chairs and proceeded to ask, Are we a guest here and and further demanded our room number. I mean she loudly interrogated us right in front of everybody when there was a line there that she should have been servicing as opposed to profiling us because I guess she thought we didn't fit the description of the type of guests who normally stay there. The next day no one at the front desk even acknowledged us when we were leaving out to view the city. They were very rude. I will never stay there again. We were in town for a national conference. She not only gave the hotel a bad representation but left the sour, tasted my mouth for visiting Kansas City again.
Karan Sethi: The bar downstairs is very good.
#noelonthemove: Love this hotel! The bedrooms and bathrooms are massive. Very comfortable beds. Love how they give you extra pillows and towels too! The rooms could have better lighting if you are working from the room but otherwise perfect.Gorgeous design and love the mini bar and snacks in the room!
Matthew Durr: Great hotel in a great location to power and light!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
Todd Schmidt: Great initial impressions!!!Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Riyad Kalla: One of the Marriott properties you wish you could drag around the world with you so it would always be where you were.Killy and Kim were absolute PEACHES to our family and made the trip especially memorable.Thank you all for such an enjoyable stay!Rooms: Big, spacious, well appointed and comfortable.

Christopher Rolfe: Tried to cross the border into Austin (heard the local cuisine was to die for!) but got asked for my passport. Looked very nice from the other side of the lake. I hope to return someday but I don't get a lot of vacation days.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Kansas City- Plaza: what do users think?
Jesse Shaw: I was in town for the Top Gun Showcase softball tournament the weekend of 6/16 and stayed here. This is an old hotel with a lot of charm. The suites are small by todays standards but worked well for me plus two other people. Over three people and it would be crowded. The shower needs updated but overall the room was in good shape. The breakfast bar was awesome with made to order omelets pancakes and precooked breakfast food. Plenty of seating too. There is a happy hour that we didn't attend due to time constraints. The pool area was small but had a nice tropical theme with a hot tub, shallow pool and a 7' deep pool. The elevators were definitely slow so plan for extra time if the hotel is busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Walkability: Close to Cheesecake Factory and Chuys Tex Mex. Bars too
Shawnnessy Murphy: The front desk was so very helpful. Everyone we dealt with was professional and kind. Big shout out to Jacob and Luis at the front desk. They made sure I had the necessary accommodations. Our room was clean and the handicap bars in the shower were perfect.Another shoutout to bartender Andre who made amazing drinks but also recommended Char Bar for dinner, which was walking distance away. When we are back in Kansas City we will stay here again. Thank you to all who made our trip exceptional.Rooms: Our room was spacious. Outside hotel noise was a minimum. The hotel lobby was equally spacious and was very beautiful.Nearby activities: The WWI museum was very close as was Union Station and the Money Museum. We were there on the weekend so missed getting to see the Money Museum. However, the WWI Museum was well worth the visit. We learned so much and it was just the right size.We visited Union Station about an hour before it closed so we weren’t able to spend as much time as we otherwise would have. Parisi Coffee was delicious. The display on the Railway Mail Service was worth visiting.Food & drinks: Happy Hour has delicious with snacks and as always drinks. Breakfast came with plenty of hot choices starting with a make your own omelette, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, as well as French toast. There was also cereal, fruit, juices, breads, and so much more.
Mia Ferguson: Worst hotel stay of my life. I had to travel for business and booked a stay at this location. I always associated Embassy Suites with luxury but I was highly disappointed with this location. I checked in after a 12+ hour drive and requested a rolling luggage rack. Was told we had to look for one ourselves and one may be in the garage or on the 1st floor room adjacent to the front desk. Looked in both places and could not locate one. Carried all of our luggage to the room, only to find the furniture was dirty and stained. The bathroom was not clean. The sink was slow draining. Both TVs did not work. One TV wouldn't turn on at all and the other would turn on then freeze up, so it was just a radio. The refrigerator, did not work either. I meal prepped my pets food prior to the trip and had to keep it refrigerated. I promptly called about these two things and was told someone would be sent up to our room to look at both of them but no one ever showed up. No call, no follow up, nothing. I went out to get ice to put in the cooler so my pets food would not spoil. But, guess what? There were no working ice machines on any floor. We went to all of them. None of them worked. There was a sign posted saying there was ice on only 4 floors but that was untrue. We had to leave and go purchase ice to keep the food from spoiling because the refrigerator did not work and no ice machine worked. Unacceptable. I also picked this location because it was dog friendly. I was told to use the field adjacent to the property. The field was unkempt with foot high weeds and trash. To add insult to injury, we only got about 2 hours sleep because of the outside noise. There were street racing noises, gun shots, police sirens and yelling ALL NIGHT LONG at this location and we could not turn on the TV to drown out the noise because the TV did not work. I had also booked a night coming back from my business trip and cancelled the second stay. I have pictures and video. Horrible experience and not addressed by the hotel or the corporate office at all. Very disappointing. Will never stay at another Embassy Suites again.
Daniel Dutton: The neighborhood is beyond sketchy. The parking is closed off with a toll bar and costs $20 extra per night to use. There's a sign that makes sure you know that any vandalism or theft is not the responsibility of the hotel. The building and rooms are rundown with stains on the floor and ceiling. The complimentary breakfast was terrible The bacon tasted like stale cooking oil. The coffee machines were all broken but one. The donuts were old and dry. Avoid this place.Rooms: Old and rundown with stains on the floor and ceilingNearby activities: It's right next to the Plaza district.Safety: Surrounded by bad neighborhoods. You have to pay extra to park and are warned that vandalism and theft are not the hotel's liability.Food & drinks: The continental breakfast was terrible. The bacon tasted like stale cooking oil. The donuts were dry like they were two days old. Only one of the three coffee machines worked. The tables were dirty.
Sara Borland: As a silver Hilton Honors member who intentionally selects Hilton for the satisfaction guarantee, I’m sadly dissatisfied. The hotel is in an excellent location- it’s why we chose it! Walking distance to lots of great spots. The building has a ton of potential with its beautiful atrium and spacious rooms, but is in desperate need of renovation and deep cleaning. Carpets dirty and stained and decor are outdated. The staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Our biggest frustration was the elevator situation. When you have a 14-story hotel you must have reliable and efficient elevators. Of the three elevators, only two worked consistently, but were very small and slow. We returned to the hotel late on a Saturday night after a show, and had to wait at least 20 minutes in the garage for an elevator. Only one was functional - very frustrating. Yes, stairs were an option but walking 6 flights of stairs from the garage to the 5th floor isn’t realistic to ask.Would definitely not recommend this hotel for anyone in any sort of schedule to keep because you have to plan to wait for an elevator for at least 10-20 minutes!
Raven Childers: As always, the breakfast is good, with the rooms are big and plenty of space for extended trips.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Billy Jansen: I used to absolutely love staying at this hotel, but it is in some desperate need of remodeling. It’s absolutely showing it’s age. Ceiling falling apart in room, balcony covered in moss, musty smell :-/ a bummer.
Jim William: Smooth check-in. Friendly front desk agent. Nice happy hour. Fun and hospitable bartender. Clean and comfortable guest room with excellent Neutrogena amenities. I'd return and recommend it.
Byron: Noteworthy details: Very kinde front desk with a beautiful atriumService: 4/5|Location: 3/5 …More
K. G.: So, I don't mind that the hotel was a little dated, seemed clean and the front desk staff were very nice, some hidden fees and the hot tub did not work. The happy hour bartender was very nice and friendly. BUT the breakfast server with red braids on the morning of June 5th, 2023 was ABSOLUTELY rude. I will admit that I got there just a couple minutes after 9 with my two kids because we didn't sleep well the night before. But we were trying to be quick and get food so they could clean up. She made some snarky comment, then when I was standing in front of the fresh fruit trying to get my daughter some fruit she quickly grabbed the serving utensils so we couldn't get any!!! I mean come on; I am trying to feed my kid here. I know you were trying to get to your smoke break (she was outside smoking when we went to our car), but GEEZ, that is not how you treat people! When we sat down it was 9:07, there was no reason for you to be so rude to us.Food & drinks: Happy hour was a nice touch.
Susan Schindler: The staff was great, but the facility is run down & needs updates. The small elevators did not accommodate the number of guests. TVs didn't work well. Would not book there again.
Dennis Shockley: Noteworthy details: Breakfast bar was closed 8:45Rooms: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view …More
Scott Hubert: MY family recently got the pleasure of staying at this property for nearly a week for an event at the convention center. The hotel is a bit dated and our room was not in the best of shape (fridge malfunctioning, TV's are of low quality, carpet and furniture seemed grungy). The bar was closed two nights during our stay, the laundry machines were out of order, the elevator was out of service for a day and the hot tub has evidently been shut down indefinitely. However, none of this ruined our stay as overall, the hotel was delightful. It is a spacious property with plenty of area in foyer and downstairs to enjoy your visit. There is a full bar with happy hour on most days. The pool is decent and kids really enjoyed that. The breakfast is of good quality with a fresh, made-to-order omelette station. Even better, the hotel is centrally located very near the "happening part" of town where one can find great food, cold drinks and great company within a simple 5 minute walk. If you drive to the hotel, do note that there is a rather significant parking fee +$20/night. Some of that is worthwhile though as you can park in the garage and the connected elevator will take you right up to your floor. The most important component that ensured our stay was enjoyable was the service. From the maids to the front desk, the staff seemed eager to assist and work to make the time at this Embassy Suites visit enjoyable. I'd especially like to thank Ms. Christy Reed, who exceeded our expectations when faced with an unexpected challenge. Ms. Reed is an amazing asset to the Hilton properties and I'm glad our paths crossed. Thanks Embassy Suites team for a job well done!
Steven Straws: Wow! How the mighty have fallen!!! My wife and I have visited Embassy Suites plenty of times before over the last few decades. Used to be top of the line and we used to love it. Now, a complete 180. The floors are stained and look like they've been there for 50 years. One of the three elevators didn't work, and of the two remaining ones one had duct tape the size of a basketball covering the floor as if there was a hole in the floor of the elevator! Completely unbelievable and unacceptable! Had to go to four different ice machines just to get ice! That's just getting to room! Once at the room on the 11th floor the room would have had an amazing view, but since our window was SO dirty and stained we couldn't even enjoy want would have been the best part! The TVs were very old and outdated with horrible quality at that. No channel lineup and extremely grainy! Hoping you could find something on the tiny TV. They were suppose to have an app that you could download to get the channel lineup, but that NEVER worked! No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Barely any water pressure in the shower. And if you like a hot shower, good luck getting that cuz they're hot is just barely lukewarm! All in all just a shame! Embassy Suites and Hilton should be ashamed to have this hotel in their lineup, especially for a little over $200! And we're Hilton Honors members! Can't see us EVER going back! Just so sad!
Rob Brewer: I’ll start with the only positive….the staff was nice. Outside of that, it was very subpar!!! The worst was the fact that my rental car was stolen from the “secure” garage. The first room was not ready, so we got moved to a new room. The new room….toilet tank was extremely loose, every outlet was loose and the tv didn’t work. I put in a request for repair of the tv and the toilet at 0830 am, the staff did not submit the request until 2pm. They showed up at 5:30 to do the repairs…..we were in the room be then, so no!!! This place needs a serious update!!!!!Rooms: Rooms are in need of updating…..tvs don’t work, no built in ups ports, and the outlets are so loose they will not hold out chargers.

Alec Tate: The best car wash I have ever been to does a really good job of getting my car clean and has very friendly staff.
Christopher Fair: It is pretty good but over the top expensive
Randy's Random Thoughts: Best carwash in town .
JC Goff: Good service
Allie Z: Came here for the first time last weekend after donating plasma next door. Ridiculous how some places are charging $15+ for a generic wash.. The Better Wash has their standard wash set at $10 and I believe it is 100% worth the price! They also have free vacuum service stations which I find to be helpful. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!
Tammy Burmeister: Car wash got off all the bugs from my windshield from a recent road trip. The vacuums are amazing. I definitely recommend this place
Beth Dupree: Alec was incredibly helpful and willing to help right away with one of those awful stickers put on the car window for parking in the wrong area. He spent at least 10 minutes working to remove it ensuring not a trace was left. Excellent customer service with a smile! 😀
Maria jose Bernal Vazquez: Some of the young People working here are racist, specially a girl with lenses and short hair, I went to renew my membership but only for one month, my dad was not understanding that if we had to come back to CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICE or the drive thru and this lady give him the side eye and rudely walks away like if we were giving her a bad attitude or asking dumb questions, she comes back and (WITH A SUPER BAD ATTITUDE) starts to explain another stuff but like if we were fools, she's the only person that's being rude with us
ThatGamerTori: Staff was incredibly helpful and friendlyService:Vacuuming
C. Paramesh: Junior was great. Very polite and helpful.
Nathan Nance: The best car wash in town! Highly recommend, their staff is always helpful and my truck always comes out clean!👍🏻Services:Polishing,Car waxing
Abby Briceland: Got my vehicle back and when I got to look inside they threw the chairs I had in the back on top of all my things along with throwing literal trash from the bed of my truck into my pillows and blankets. I called and the manger and she was rude and gave no apology nor took responsibility for the unprofessionalism.
Amber Hagler: I'm always happy with how clean my car is after going through the car wash here. The staff are friendly and informative. The services they offer are spot on, such as car wash options, free vacuum stations, a floormat cleaning machine, and inside you can purchase a membership or cleaning supplies. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a clean car after words.
Mike Deister: Not happy about trying to get someone to help putting my account on hold.
Tiffany Perrigo: The staff here are always so friendly and happy! Prices are affordable and my car is always Sparkling when I leave!
Craig Havel: Great wash and service is great as well.
Jake Stoltzfus: Fast and convenient..

Matt Tessier: I hate to leave a three star review. It’s an impressive zoo, and we saw some cool things, but the ride situation is out of control. It seems like everything is a paid “add-on” once you get inside after having paid a high admission price. The train ride was probably 100 yards and the “tram ride” takes you like 150 ft, and after you pay for that, you find out it’s not round trip! Then the sky ride is extra money…then the carousel is extra money….then the boat ride is extra money…then feeding the stingrays is extra money. Felt extorted once inside. Very sad to leave such a review for my wife’s childhood zoo, because there are some good memories there, but the ride situation is unfortunate
Omar Alexander Guzmán Arévalo: Excelente experiencia!Se los recomiendo mucho. 🙂

Emily H: I absolutely love coming here. Can't wait to see all the new cool things they have planned!

Kent Boydstun II: An ok zoo, no what I would expect for a major metropolitan area. Would highly recommend getting the bands, helps avoid paying for the trams, carousel and other things. Be prepared for high cost food. Would recommend bring a lunch as they have plenty of picnic tables to have lunch at.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $21–30 …More
Alexis Donnelly: First thing I noticed walking in this zoo was trash in the turtle pond. Was a bit unsettling. There was a lot more than I would have liked to see. Most animals looked unhappy. My biggest pet peeve was the straws they give you for the slushies. Someone in corporate really needs to know about that. The tiny straws are not appropriate for large slushies at all. The guy working the ski-lift could use an attitude change. Soley giving 4 stars based off of memories with family. Seriously though the straw thing was a visible problem for everyone who had one.
Jennifer Womack Jones: Friday Flamingle was a great adult event.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20 …More

Luis Leon: What a fun day at zoo with my baby boy and his classmates! School asked us to be there at 9:00 am and glad it was early. This is definitely a zoo to spend the whole day at! I was impressed with how clean it was despite how many children were visiting. There were some exhibits with a sign that mentioned some animals might not be in view but we were actually able to see everything (with the exception of the few that were off exhibit). There is a great variety of species and some cool experiences like the stingray touch area and aviaries. We went to AFRICA the boys special exhibit. They are alway excited for the lions, however it would be nice if they add a male lion.Lots of areas to cold off!*Be prepared to walk for parking. It fills up fast!

The American Reserve: what do users think?
Tom Shoemaker: Atmosphere is great, just short of stuffy formal cigar bar style. Service was pretty good. Just had a martini at the bar.Bartenders were young and came across as inexperienced in that casual conversational way that a good bartender has, but I am sure that will improve.Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lee Turner: Always have the most delicious food. This place never disappoints!
Janice Penn: Fast service food was excellent place was very busy this morning but still very fast and efficient with skimping.
Mr. Weaver: We had about 12 people no one complained about there brunch! Tom (the manager) was awesome! I can't remember our waiters' name but he was also me too! The best hospitality ever! Tom even told me about Lonnie's, I'll be trying that this Friday!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Alpha Landingham: Staff was on point. The restaurant space is rather small and feels kind of crowded. The decoration is art deco, strong 1920s glitz theme. The food was solid standard fare for a four-star hotel. Nothing bad just nothing all that special. I got the steak and my dad got the fish. Our server was definitely worthy of note as were the cocktails/bar.I would give the overall experience 3.8 stars. Enjoyable, but not exceptional.
Rudy Jones: Cool restaurant, nice ambiance. Food was good. Our service was slow, unfortunately. Ordered a drink that was on the menu which they didn't have. Appetizer plates were never removed from the table. Was never offered a dessert menu and our waitress rushed to get us our check and off our table.
Antony SiVelli Jr.: Ate there with my friend because he said selbychef works there… was pumped but apparently he left. The food was atrocious, the service was horrible! I’ve eaten at Gramm and Dunn when he was there… the food was 5 stars! Just shows you how important it is to have a passionate chef. Whoever is there now is absolutely not at the level of the beautiful space they have… can’t believe I wasted my money there. Gotta figure out where this guy went… his food was the best I’ve ever had in KCMO.
Your Friend Dimitry: The food sucks… should bring back that Russian chef. The food was good then.
Annette Berry: Located in the Ambassador hotel, you see a slew of different people, which adds to the electricity of eatery. I've been many times and the food is always good, service is hit or miss. On this last visit, it was definitely a miss. TRAIN YOUR SERVERS! I like Friday nights for live music and good drinks. If not for the consistently good food, I would not return. There are too many good places to eat in KC to pay for bad service, please fix it!
Lynn Williams: A very beautiful, well kept, awesome restaurant with great food at reasonable prices!Kid-friendliness: The children seemed at homeParking: Valet is the way to go!
Karan Sethi: Delicious cocktails and fine ambience 👍Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Steven Martens: Historical hotel restaurant with good food. This is a very nice dining establishment and they had a solo artist who was very good. The only complaint was it was too loud to carry on a conversation.
Charles Wells: One of the best steaks I've ever had in kc. Got the KC strip, they nailed it on the sides and the cook. No complaints will be back.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lauren H.: The American Reserve is a poorly managed hotel bar with a cool atmosphere disguised as an upscale restaurant.I made birthday dinner reservations here since I assumed it was an elegant place. My husband and I arrived, dressed to the nines, to find an empty restaurant with people in sweatpants and slippers watching ESPN on the bar TVs. Awkward. As the host was seating us, we mentioned to her that it was my birthday. After being seated, our patronizing male server came to the table and asked me, “I heard it’s your birthday, hun?” I’m an adult woman turning 37 — not seven — “hun.”The server then proceeded to tell us that the restaurant was out of spinach dip and okra appetizers. He then asked to see my husband’s menu because he said he didn’t remember all the other items they were out of. He further said they were also out of the salmon entree and had no fish for the market fish entree. I’m a pescatarian, and so I was left with absolutely no entree that I could even eat.We left and went to Lidia’s where they were able to serve everything published on their menu and had a respectful server and delicious food. Five stars to Lidia’s!As we were leaving the American Reserve to go to Lidia's, the host and the hotel front desk staff person tried giving us coupons for other restaurants in the area. They oddly didn’t try to give us a coupon for their own business. The host told us that if we would come back next week, the American Reserve would have a new menu. They can’t even get a grip on their existing menu — why should we expect them to properly handle a new menu?
Luis Sanchez: Great steak! Lots of options for fine dining.Recommended dishes Steak and Fries …More
Meredith Harmon: Gary was an amazing server, blacked chicken with the mac and cheese was delicious, winter mules were perfection
Wendy Darragh: Michael was awesome. Food not great - the steak was like eating at a wedding. Had been cooked earlier and the sides cold. Great atmosphere & drinks though!
Chelsey B: Went to celebrate two friends getting married. The service was okay, had a few large gaps in getting drinks and ordering food. The atmosphere was nice except the background sounds were really loud. I felt like I had to yell at the people I was sitting with to have a conversation. The food was okay. The wine was fantastic. They have a much wider variety of alcohol than they do food. Limited menu and I have food allergies so I could literally only order a grilled cheese sandwich and it was bland. I will not return. I can go elsewhere with more menu items and for a much cheaper price. I literally spent $100 for 3 glasses of wine, a grilled cheese, and a bowl of soup.
Jesus Roth: Amazing food and even better service. Was so impressed by everything about this place!
Alma Aragon: Can't say enough about the quality of the food. Good atmosphere and pleasant staff. Excellent downtown location.
