Donald Brain: They do a great job with our golden doodle/labradoodle mix. His is a tough coat and easily mats. We brush him daily but there are still spots around his harness that seem to mat instantly. Elegant canine does a great job of taking time to fix these few troubled spots instead of simply shaving him. He looks better, he feels better, he plays with the other dogs while he's waiting for his next step in the grooming process.He comes home handsome, tired, and happy. Can you ask for much more from a groomer?

Margaret Fiola: I wish I had done this earlier, but I am glad to see they have this, so we can share how we feel about them. These ladies at Elegant Canine are just amazing. I have been taking our Lab, Lucy, who is now 4, and has both her ACL replaced. The reason for me mentioning this is, because when I have taken her there to be groomed for one, and it was not long after she had not completely recovered but enough to get groomed. These ladies were so attentive about getting her up on the grooming table, and getting her down. Now, just so you understand, Lucy is a whopping 79 pound English Lab, and they are big boned to begin with and then add on the pounds, well need I say any more!Now, not only do they do an amazing job in grooming, well, they also offer a daycare service. Now, I can say with certainty that every time I have brought Lucy to either be groomed, or for daycare, and they have a full house, they are always smiling, and cheerful, and mostly helpful. Lucy loves to go and play with her friends there, and I love knowing she is being well taken care of and she is having a great time. They do walks, play time, and just knowing that Lucy is with people, and dogs during the time I might be gone all day, gives me a piece of mind.So, if you were wondering about Elegant Canine, I can say for one, they are truly the best. I feel that they are one big family, and though I would not have that many dogs in my home, I feel like Lucy is at home, just with more dogs. Don't pass up a chance to experience Elegant Canine, they are wonderful.

I went to go get my Pomeranian dog groomed and I thought to go back to the place of my dear beloved long deceased Dotson Charlie went, I would feel over joyed. First off I was offended when a “student” commented she has never seen a brown Pomeranian dog with a brown complexed owner I WAS SHOCKED! But I just looked at her and thought this young lady clearly isn’t educated or needs to be around people let alone DOGS! I’m taking my Pomeranian somewhere else! I felt offended race has ended up in this which was supposed to be a great experience for my Pomeranian I am applauded at the hospitality and opinions this place had to offer!

Our dog is a rescue that had a rough life before us, she had never participated in daycare or stayed anywhere for boarding in the five years we have owned her because we were nervous about how she would handle it. Stacie and Nick encouraged me to give it a go considering we do have the need for boarding on occasion. They took their time with her and discovered she is great at boarding, but just doesn't love the daycare part (gets nervous around larger barking dogs). I am ok with that and appreciate the honesty! All the staff is great and know who she is when we walk in the door, that is pretty impressive since we are not there every week. Thank you for all you do for Fable!

Charles Jacobs: This place is ridiculous. They kicked my dog out said she had altercation with another dog. She has had no problems with other dogs including our other dog at home. They ended up kicking her out because they say she was causing problems with other dogs. Very soon after I'm taking her to vet for kennel cough. I believe it was a cover up for there mistakes

R Tc: This is an edit to my original review of 5 stars. This place recently had a change in management and it's unfortunate, because the new owners don't care about you or your dog, they just care about the dollar. Their customer service was top notch when they provided training services and they had an amazing staff there before all the changes..I had to call 3 times to get a refund back from a training course they took money for and canceled during COVID. The managers were available 2 of the 3 times I called and refused to speak to me, made their poor staff handle this issue and the person helping had only been there for 4 months. This is not how you run a business or treat your customers. Think twice before bringing your dog here, if you care at all about integrity, go elsewhere.

We really appreciate how Savannah is always available via text, phone or email to answer questions. She customized our training sessions to address new behavior challenges in a positive way. Savannah and the rest of the staff at Pooches Paradise are very kind and thoughtful to both owners and the pets the care for. Their training and daycare services are worth the investment!

I adopted my dog at age 6 and now at 10, she has never gotten sick while staying there and has always returned to me just the happiest camper! I had to board my sweet pup over Christmas one year and they even made a Christmas ornament for me with a picture of her face 😂 Just ABOVE-and-beyond care and customer service! C L: We love Camp Bow Wow! You can tell the workers really care about the pups and take the time to get to know them and their different personalities. The different enrichment programs are so fun (we recently got St. Pattys day and Easter photos!). I love that they typically keep them out in the yard late in the day because I have heard that other places put them up in the kennel starting early in the afternoon. It is also fun and reassuring to be able to check up on your dog using the cameras in the mobile app. They are very popular/busy so you have to make sure you schedule day care probably a week in advance, so they might not work for people who only need drop ins every once in a while, but Camp Bow Wow is great for dogs who consistently go to day care.

Kim Beckman: This place is just the best. I always feel comfortable leaving my dog with them. He practically jumps out of the car and runs to the door every time. The staff is so friendly, and always greet him by name. They are just as happy to see him as he is to see them.

Faith Ries: The Camp Bow Wow Westport team is incredible. I cannot sing their praises enough! My dog Chika goes to camp three days a week, and it’s the best thing I ever did for her. Jess, Rhonda, and the rest of the team take fantastic care of her, and they all make an effort to get to know my dog, her needs, and her quirks, on a personal level. It’s so comforting to know that when I’m working and unable to give her the time and attention she deserves, she’s with a team that loves and cares for her in my absence. When she’s at CBW I never worry because I can check in on her at any time of the day on their live feed cameras, and she always comes home a very happy, very tired pup. ❤️

Kelly Hamilton: Initially, we had a great experience.The groomer helped our nervous dog become acclimated to the salon, the grooming, and to the groomer at her own pace. Things were going better than we immagined they could until the groomer left her job and our dog was given over to a groomer she was not familiar with. After 3 or 4 groomings, our dog was fired for snapping at the groomer as she lost the cotents of her bladder and bowels on the grooming table. Our dog began at the collar club with anxiety and was fired from her previous groomer for the same reason. The first groomer at The Color Club was the salon manager. Things were going extremely well until another less experienced groomer took over. We would have preferreed to have minimal groomings over grooming appointments that caused more anxiety.After loosing her bladder and bowels during a groom our dog was told she could not return. We had to have her groomed under anesisia whils she had her teeth cleaned at her vet's office. She is a 10lb Havanese with a history of grooming trauma. Her fine cotton like fur mats easily. We are thankful for the shave down she recieved during dental treatment at KC Vet, but we are unsure how we'll move forward from here.The Collar Club seems like a great option for animals who have a history free from trauma. Use baby steps if your dog is in the same shoes. Best wishes.

Truffle can be anxious while boarding, but I was able to watch her on their webcams and see that she was very relaxed. Lauryn Schneider: Greta (1 yo female GSD) was at Collar Club from Thursday - Sunday. Saturday night when I checked the cameras, I noticed that her bed (they give), her blanket and her toys were out of her apartment and she was just laying on the concrete. When I texted staff, they said she has an accident and that stuff needed to be taken out to be washed (a new bed would’ve been nice but not really the issue). When I picked her up Sunday afternoon, she came to me soaked in pee (had to be fresh if the accident was last night bc she was very wet) and limping on her right hind leg.Whether she had 2 accidents because she wasn’t getting let out enough or just because she was anxious (I’d hope the latter) - I still find it unacceptable for her to be left alone with it long enough for her to have to lay in it and be soiled on her entire underbelly / chest area.I called staff and they said they weren’t sure what had happened and that it could be from her water bowl. I have canceled my future boarding and won’t be using Collar Club again.

Sandra Price: Loved everything from the minute I walked into the door until I came back to pick up Blossom 🌸. The place is cute and clean, the women at the desk friendly and smiling, and the groomer who came out to get Blossom immediately started talking to my dog in baby talk. How did she know? Blossom is a recent rescue from a puppy mill, afraid of everybody, of abrupt movement and of noises, but she kissed the groomer goodbye! Oh and of course, she looks adorable!

Lydia Ross: Collar Club was recommended to my by my best friend, we both have boarded our dogs at other facilities in the area and have never been pleased with the experience. She boarded her two large female dogs here and was so impressed she referred me.My experience with collar club was exceptional, friendly, and easy. Most boarding facilities will charge you extra for a day care option, but boarding club includes that in your price. Instead of forcing me to bring my dog on a separate day several weeks in advance of my appointment (I'm looking at you Camp Bow Wow) to determine if his temperament would be okay with daycare, they did all of that WHILE he was boarding. I dropped him off and they performed a temperament test at the beginning of his stay and determined he was friendly enough for daycare.Now let me tell you why I LOVED their day care system. They do not separate your dogs based on size or breed, they separate them on personality and temperament which is huge. My dog is a lab mix but he is older and not very active or playful, so it worried me that he might be stuck in a room with all hyper large dogs. If you have a hyper Pomeranian, that doesn't mean your small dog should be with a senior Dachshund.Finally, the customer service was exceptional. When booking my appointment online I didn't even need to attach any vet documents, they contact your vet directly and handle it all for you. So easy! Whenever I had a question, I was able to call and speak with someone friendly right away and get my answer. They truly try to make the boarding process easy for you and comfortable for your dog. I didn't even need to package my dogs food a certain way, I could just bring it in it's giant air tight container and leave it there with him.We paid for 10 nights, but they let me drop him off as early as I would like the first day with no extra charge, and pick him up later as well. We paid extra for an exit bath and nail trim, he was perfectly dry and smelled so so clean! I could tell he was well loved here :)We will only use this kennel for daycare or boarding now.

We love the option to view our dog on a video camera while we are away to give us an extra peace of mind. You can even have your dog participate in dog dayplay while boarding at no extra cost. Working with her as his trainer has given us so much confidence AND he has been showing great progress very quickly. I cannot recommend this organization enough, specifically training with Jessica. She is incredible and genuinely knows how to train dogs and people. After working with her for only two sessions we can now pet our puppy while we feed him and many other exciting accomplishments. I cannot wait until our pup is neutered so he can join day play. Speaking of day play, I saw the day play room filled with dogs and attentive staff and just about every dog was just sitting around calmly and having fun. It eased all my anxiety about doggy "day care".

Scott M: My dog passed the temperament test with flying colors and experienced a great first day with no incidents. I felt very comfortable with the friendly staff so I decided to see if this was the right place when traveling for work.While away, I was fortunate enough that my fiancé was monitoring the cameras. She was unable to locate him for over 3 hours so she contacted the front desk. They informed her that he was aggressive and was instigating fights and he was no longer welcome to enter the daycare area. That is far from his character but that wasn't the issue. As an owner, I was not contacted by staff to explain the situation and to fully understand what transpired. On top of that, overcrowding is a major problem in the dog daycare area (over 60+ dogs in a small contained area) and this naturally causes additional friction between dogs.Communication is a must when strangers are watching your animals. Contact the owner directly if there is an issue instead of hoping the owner isn't monitoring the cameras. Be proactive, not reactive.

jen chon: Tak is a quiet professional. He is a skilled groomer but he is also very gentle with our doggos--that's probably what was most important to me. My Bichon Frise is very sensitive about his paws but Tak is able to groom them in a most gentle manner. I absolutely recommend him and make the drive all the way from Fort Leavenworth every time!

The owner spoke to me on the phone but had his hands full he was in the middle of grooming and was unable to grab a pen and take down my number. No problem, I can understand that, I told him I would call back. I've called him 2 times and went online 2 times and filled out a appointment request. He never call you back. I finally have decided to go elsewhere. Too bad this is very close to my home would have been a regular if his work was good.

My husband and I said yes to taking both, only to find out that the kitten was extremely sick and costed us $150 in vet bills when Kitten division said “oh it’ll clear up in a couple of days” after the couple of days went by and the kitten got worse we took her in only for them to put her on a bunch of medications that resulted in our bill.

Excellent service, they answered my emails right away, they were already waiting for me at 8:00 a.m. the next day, the groomer came out to pick up my puppy and made her feel very comfortable so I left happy knowing that she was in good hands. I will surely return for her next haircut.

elizabeth winchell: This review is solely about the owner. The employees have always been kind and professional to me. From my first interaction with the owner, she was impatient and unfriendly. My first time arriving at the facility she snapped at me because I didn’t know the front door was on a buzzer system. This should have been my first red flag but it seemed like a reputable place so I brushed it off.I boarded my dog for one night while I traveled out of town for a funeral. I’ve boarded my dog at other facilities numerous times, so I’m very familiar with what is typical for boarding facilities. I thought I had a good understanding of how things worked at this business because of that, but I was very wrong.My travel back into town took longer than expected. I was scheduled to pick my dog up at 5:00pm. When I realized I was going to be late I called right away. Once again, the owner was impatient and rude to me on the phone. She asked me how long I would be because she didn’t want to have to pay her employee to wait for me. I was very apologetic and told her I wasn’t sure but was driving as fast as I could and hoped to make it by 5:30. I couldn’t get there fast enough. She started sending me texts. I arrived a few minutes after 6:00. The owner text me that I could not have my dog until the next day. She sent me an updated invoice changing my fee from $43 to $111 saying I could not have my dog the next day until it was paid. She showed zero empathy for my situation.When you work in a service industry such as this, kindness and empathy go a long way. Unfortunately, that is not how I was treated here and I will never return.

Jym & Jess Bates: Update: we have decided to go with a different groomer. We left Max once for daycare and he seemed like he had a good time. The second time we had him scheduled for daycare we cancelled it as we heard a man yelling aggressively a dog in the daycare who was barking. The owner was a bit defensive and told us, "If you were back there all day you'd yell, too," but our concern was the tone and it was only 8am making us wonder what it's like after a few hours. Our dog was scared by it and we'd rather not take him someplace that defends that kind of approach. The groom was great, but that interaction is one we just can't move past.

I like how they call the day before the appointment to confirm, and how we can drop him off. It's convenient to have a "its first come first serve" appointment.

I have an anxious little guy that has struggled with panic attacks while getting groomed. They've worked with me and been patient to find a solution. Their concern is 100% about the well being of the dog which I really appreciate. It would be easy for them to power through his issues to be able to move on to the next client but they don't because they care.

Cheri Blessing: I have been using them for a while now. I absolutely love them. I have a small Chinese Crested Powder Puff and she is 15. I had always groomed her. She has congenital heart failure and is getting older. I wanted to find a mobile groomer so I didn't have to take her anywhere since she gets nervous going out. She has been so happy with her groomer that comes. Typically an hour or a little over each session. I usually have them come every 2 months. We will continue to keep using them and the groomer is always so nice and patient. Highly recommended!!

We had taken our Yorkie to several different box stores and we're not satisfied with the cut.We did a Google search for pet groomers and we found Pet , Rinse ,Repeat grooming. Our Yorkies stylist was Penny. She got aquatinted with my little Yorkie so he was not afraid. She gave him the perfect cut! She had listened to myself and my wife wants and produced the most perfectly handsome Yorkie ever!At the other box stores they sedated him but Penny had my dog so comfortable that that wasn't necessary. It was a pleasant experience for him and was absolutely great for us! We highly recommend this place!

My dog is very anxious and this has been the perfect fit. We have had Nyle as our groomer the last couple of times-- Nyle is beyond kind, patient and mindful. Nyle's calm energy makes my pup a happy camper... and me too. :) I also make quirky requests, like spots to have a shorter cut so I can keep my pup clean and to please text when arriving and finishing because I work from home...
