corbin hayden: Taylor at aura is one amazing bottle service girl. My friends and I decided to get a table reservation for a major EDM artist on Saturday night and boy was it the right choice. The booking process was super simple. Taylor was extremely nice, extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure my friends and I had a great time. I’m sure the other bottle service girls are great as well, however if you can, I suggest booking with Taylor! Thanks again for a great experience!

Wendy Huggins: This place was super crowded. The Dancefloor is way smaller than what’s needed. I’m not sure what code capacity is for that building but they exceed it. I’m sure of it. When they put the soap on the floor, it is a danger to whoever is dancing. And they need to teach their DJ how to DJ. When he puts two songs together, it sounds like a train wreck. The food was mediocre at best. The drinks are over priced $10 for one cup. Being an all cash establishment is an inconvenience for all of its patrons.

'Hostesses" leading guests to spaces where another "hostess" is running it without clear clarification to patrons i.e. "VIP access" only to be yelled at by said "hostess" running the space.Additional care should also be taken to the dust in the ceilings as it looks to not have been cleaned in years especially given they run the fans in said ceiling.Also can it not be a case by case situation on male dress code application.Oh and it's a $15 cover
Leilani Haywood: So much fun! I wanted to go dancing on my birthday and I had a blast. I had no idea how swagged out the inside is with a disco ball dance floor. All the tables were reserved! The waitress was kind to me and got me a table next to the dance floor. Thank you whoever you are who made a birthday memory.

I was trying to pull money out of the atm when when a really rude guy came from behind me trying to push me out of the way but Thomas stepped in and made sure I was able to pull the money out safely. Ronni Rosewicz: We went to Funky Town on a birthday bus with 35 people. The website says 10.00 cover charge and the bouncer told us it was 15.00. He was unbelievably rude. We tried explaining to him that two of us were paying for all the bus and we didn’t have enough to pay 15 a piece. We than decided we would try and pull our money to get in and than they said we were too aggressive and wouldn’t let us in. We asked to speak to the manger and he refused! Do not go! So rude!
Katie Korff: This place is cash only. $15 cover charge to get in and then all drinks are $10. I thought it was illegal for a bar to charge for water? They are charging $2.50 for water and have signs posted saying “no free water”. So if you’re DDing, it’s going to be $17.50 just to hang out and make sure your friends are safe. The decorations and different areas are decorated really cool and the neon lights really make everything pop but I would not go back. It’s way too expensive and not worth the money for the very average atmosphere.
Mike Palazzolo: This place has such potential. The vibe is great and the crowd is very into the 70s theme with many dressing to match the theme. The decor is good but the DJ has no clue. I grew up going to clubs in the 70s and 80s and while some of the song selections are good, they played a couple of 80s songs, some 50s music, Stevie Ray Vaughn and stairway to heaven. People come here to dance to 70s music and you could see the floor empty when the selection went sideways Replace the DJ and you would have a real winner.

Lindsay Thompson: Unsafe & sketchy is an understatement. First, a $750 minimum on a table that only seats 4 is insane (& a recipe for over drinking) but plans had already been in place so we reluctantly stayed. Then, I went outside w/ my friends still at table only for bouncer to refuse re-entry w/ no prior warning. When someone tried talking to the bouncer he was clearly on some sort of ego fueled power trip & ended up tackling the patron to the ground out of nowhere. Manager was apologetic & said bouncer has been known to do that so WHY is he still working there?! He’s lucky the customer was incredibly chill & didn’t press charges. Then as with what other customers are saying too, I wasn’t able to get my coat back from inside & their phone number doesn’t work so it’s impossible to get ahold of anyone. Not sure who is running this place but it is a disaster waiting to happen. Avoid it at all costs

Ordered two whisky shots for me and a bud and the bartender gave us two small shots after saying "oh you're choosing violence".If you run a business you should want to make money and give a reason to come back. Not to make an unwelcoming pretentious environment.

The place was way overcrowded, everything is sticky from spilled drinks and it's massively overpriced. I can understand some people being drawn to the atmosphere but I'll never go back.Shark bar has pm the same positives, but the staff is waaay better and it's 10x cleaner.

Alicia Briggs: I left my card behind the bar at @mosaickc awhile ago on accident and afterwards tried to email, Instagram message, and call with no response and no way to get my card back unless they were open on the weekend. I quickly dubbed it a lost cause and got a new card.I am now getting declined charge emails from that old card meaning someone took it from behind the bar and has decided to try and use it for Amazon and Walmart purchases. One of those purchases was attempted at 12:12 this morning so I can only imagine that it was an online purchase to ring in the new year. That being said, I can’t wait to get the full name and shipping address of the Mosaic employee who has my card. HNY 💛🎉🖕🏼

Waste of time and money.

When river aces had the shooting there years ago and the shared parking lot was affected the cops told us to go back into neon wild and they wouldn't let us because it was closing time so instead they made us sit outside on the sidewalk for 2 hours with no concern for our safety!!! They will deny but I have family members who are law enforcement and were there that night, read the police report!
RCKC Management: The concept is perfect. The execution is horrendous. I have pleaded with the owners for years to let me help them with the issues and it always falls on deaf ears. I have run 3 clubs and currently run one in Kansas City and wish they'd let me help them. If you like shotty service, music that sounds like it's played underwater because the sound system is trashed and a less than stellar DJ this is your place. Dennis Hess was an owner who knew what I could do, these people knew him and yet... they couldn't figure this concept out. Why two stars you ask? This is a concept that would be a homerun North of the river if they just knew what they were doing.

David Simia: I was looking for an escape from the taint of the very unpleasant dealings with the contacts at H&R block, specifically 2 that represented they were part of the H&R Block legal team (????). Nothing in my communications with them validated a sound fact based legal conclusion! THE OPPOSITE!I saw this place, reviewed the menu and the comments of others. I was jazzed. It appears to have the professionalism and quality service credentials that H&R IMO lacks. I was very impressed with the exciting food they offer, the fun and the chance to deal with a quality organization. Looks like fun!!!

Bailey Baker: My fiancé and I accidentally walked into Angels one night, wanting to go to Mosaic. We handed the lady at the front desk a $20 bill for our cover charge. RIGHT after I gave it to her I said, “Oh whoops, can I have that back? We went into the wrong bar.” She says no and then continues to give me my change.
Rhetorical Zombie: TLDRNot a lot of rock, service is hit or miss. For you if you like loud music and drinking. See below for details.This bar has been up and down for me. Sometimes it's awesome, sometimes it's garbage. Let's start with the positives. First it's a club in every sense of the word, not a rock bar. If you like loud music (pop, EDM, dubstep, top 40, and occasionally a rock song), then the music selection is decent. The nights have potential to get wild, but do not always go that way (depends on the crowd and events going on in P&L). Bottle service and a booth can be inexpensive if you split it with a few friends. I have had some wild times here. On the downside, more often than not, I have had issues with the bar tenders not really knowing what they're doing. They have screwed up my both my orders, and my check at the end of the night. That's not to say there isn't a good staff member. Sometimes their service is on point. The bathrooms are usually a mess and if you came for the rock music you will be disappointed for the most part. I don't blame the DJ for this. As it was explained to me, "the owner doesn't want rock music because it doesn't attract women, just men. And when men get drunk they just want to fight or have sex and since there is no women, they usually wound up fighting. So they play the other stuff to draw in a more appealing crowd." As it gets later in the night (after midnight) they will play more rock and metal. Closing thoughts: it's not a bad bar. I like it and will probably be back, but it's not for everyone.
Daniel Martin: Used to be able to come into this place and listen to a good variety of rock music (as one would expect given the name of the bar). Last time I went in they played rap/pop music all night long. I can get that at pretty much any other P&L bar. Play rock music or change the name of the bar.

I've been to A LOT of sh@#y bars in my life , but never before have I went to a bar that was advertised as one thing, and completely turned out to be something else. Was thete for over an hour (only because I wanted to justify my cover charge) and heard only 2 rock songs...FROM A "ROCK" BAR. If you want to be a hip hop club, stop advertising as a rock bar.

We went upstairs to a different club the girl didn't take money from us because of the looks I gave her when she mentioned I had to pay another $5 each. We got in and had fun and left to go to the angel's Rock bar & all the security did was check out IDs again we did not pay to get in!!! I met some cool people there and the music was very good. Overall I enjoyed it was a lot of fun!

Maddie Fry: This place has been my "go-to" when I first started exploring KC as I first moved to Kansas City, that was in 2019. It is now 2022, I do not have to constantly go there for the staff to recognize me, they will listen to you when it comes to ordering drinks, music requests, and my favorite NYE moment was at Throwback. Don't come early, don't come late! The best time to enjoy this place is 10pm-1am in my opinion. The staff does not throw you out, they make sure you have somewhere to go even though that should never be a concern for yourself. Go there if you'd like to have a fun, accepting, cool, and nonjudgemental environment in your corner!

Chris Dolinar: I witnessed the security assault someone here for literally no reason at all and when I tried to help the poor guy off the ground and ask why they were hurting him they kicked the both of us out. Also had some friends that got kicked out of their VIP booth after paying for it! Terribly mixed drinks for 10$. Literally the same as the door fee. Violently aggressive security. Don’t come here unless you have a camera to record the possible harm their security might incur to you.

Vince Kramer: Normally I would rate it much higher, but after going there to dance the night away, I paid $10 to get in and listen to Indian music. Nothing wrong with Indian music but not for a Saturday night at a place that is considered one of the better dance places in town. Even the drag show was not great with more drag kings than queens. Not a good night.

Joey Postema: Kheaton is such a good bartender. We’re visiting from San Diego. He had us laughing instantly and he gave us so much helpful information about visiting Kansas City. We felt so welcomed and comfortable at his bar in a city we’ve never been to. We bartend back home, but didn’t mention it until much later and he still treated us like family. It didn’t hurt that he definitely has the prettiest smile in this town, but it wasn’t just that which got me to write out some appreciation. Good hospitality is hard to find. He’s got it on point. Xoxo thanks for helping us appreciate this city. He also got it goin on downstairs.
Kiel Vargas-Belcher: Kheaton has truly made my experience in Kansas City the best. He is warm, friendly and inviting. He has gone above and beyond in making me and my friends feel welcome in a new city. I wish I could feel so welcome in every city I visit. The world would only be better with more Kheatons in it! I know I will be missing him not being a local bartender when I head home to California.
Chris Godfrey: A stable for Kansas City, the staff is really friendly, and drinks are inexpensive. The downside is that it feels a bit routine, both the music and acts, and can be seen as a bit dingy

No food at this venue, but allowed to bring in food from other places within the Power & Light district. Very good after-party location to continue an evening after a T-Mobile Center (formerly Sprint Center) event. Very close to the free trolley stop as well.

Got there it was myself ,wife and 5 month old.nikki like us and waitress did also. was good until around 9.another employee I think came over and told us we had to leave since did not allow younger in there after 9. So give us things so we could take are food to go.had to ask waitress for ticket since she was unaware. Would have been nice to know from get go.that way wouldn't have gotten to kozy being there and wouldn't have my meal interrupted. Would have avoid the whole place.hopefully it was the truth and not malarkey because of and individual try to go above and beyond. Which was weird since not much people were there. Was trying to support local yet will not go there for a while.will just have to catch Nikki playing at another location for now on
LS Tours: THIS is the place to go for LIVE MUSIC and GREAT FOOD on a weeknight! We visited on a Tuesday and were blessed with hearing the piano talents of Walt and the singing abilities of Talya, who can really belt it out with the best of them! What a great vibe, a welcoming atmosphere and even unexpected back up singers from the crowd! What an unexpected treat!

The music was fantastic, the energy was pure, cozy welcoming. We had the cajun pasta, it was absolutely delicious, hands down the best i have had in Kansas City. My wife is a big foodie and she rated the pasta 10/10 as i would've rated it 11/10. We fell in love with this bar and will for sure, be back! Thank you for giving us a bar to remember. Also, no pictures taken of the food because it was soooo good i didnt even think to take a picture. Next time!

I think that's highway robbery, just because it's New Years Eve. I normally go and it's free or 5-10.00 per person to get in. 65.00 for hats and noise makers ??? Really??
