We went with the Breckenridge because we specifically like the solid, heavy feel and have NOT been disappointed.They were upfront about the time it would take to complete but the anticipation was worth it. It took a little less than six months to get the table but that was early! The team that delivered it was very professional, took their time, didn't bang into anything while moving it in and explained everything about the care of the table.Lastly, you get what you pay for and it's worth every penny.

Unruh allows you to select the type of wood and uses a high-quality stain that is covered with an extremely durable water base topcoat that will last forever.The Unruh staff helps you through the selection process and keeps you updated on the construction of the furniture. I liked the no pressure process and payment only when the furniture is delivered.

Carmen Sigler Benson: I wish I had read the reviews prior to my purchase. I heard the products were good and ordered a bedroom set for my daughter. I wait rather patiently month after month for my delivery date. When the date finally arrived they called the night before with a time. I rescheduled several things last minute and the morning of delivery they called to cancel and automatically rescheduled for the next day (I already had multiple appts). After hours on hold with West Elm, scheduling, and the warehouse I was told if I rescheduled and they took my items off the truck I'd have to wait several more months????? Every person I talked to already knew this process is broken and told me no one cares.
Daniel Park: I placed an order for a banquette set in October of 2022. The order was delivered in early March with several damaged and missing pieces. I was told that if I were to receive the balance of the replaced items it would not be delivered until July of 2023. I requested to cancel the order and be refunded as I am not going to wait another 5 months to receive this furniture. I was told I would be refunded. West Elm only refunded half of what I paid. I was told the balance of my refund would not be available until the replacement furniture was delivered in July....but I am not even buying the furniture. After telling them I did not buy the furniture from the 3rd party, I bought it from West Elm and carrying that furniture is their issue not mine, I am still waiting for my refund several weeks and multiple phone calls later. I keep having to call them for updates. They should be contacting me with updates. Just been a horrible experience and I feel like I am going to be wrestling them for the remainder of the refund for the foreseeable future....so frustrating.

Haley Wilson: Had a total reverse pretty woman moment today at this West Elm. My husband and I came in after a particularly vigorous workout, sweaty and in gym clothes. I was curious what our level of service would be based off of that, and it was outstanding! The manager came up chatted us up and was extremely helpful. She showed us tons of different options gave us her card. It was extremely helpful kind and informative. Never felt any amount of snooty attitude. We’re looking to furnish our beach house, and will be using them to do so.

I called and was told that the headboard was lost in the warehouse and they couldn’t deliver my order. When I called for a refund I received a half refund and half merchandise credit. That is not what I asked for. I have been calling and emailing for 3 weeks to get the other 1700 back on my card! Nightmare!

We drove nearly 3 hours one way to see items in person that we’ve dreamed about seeing after shopping a lot online. Prior to making the order we thought let’s go to a store and see more in person.The staff here seems far from interested in assisting with any questions, or generally assisting throughout the store. Felt a little condescending at times. We made over 5 attempts to be helped and advance our purchase, and every single time she got up from her chair as if she was going to check on something for us, but didn’t come back to her computer until we proactively started browsing around again. We’d come back and then did the same thing, walk away from our conversation as if she needed to check something for us, and then she didn’t come back. Only Bs with other store associate.She was more interested in talking with her associates who were also not accompanying anyone else in store. At most times we were the only ones still in store browsing and helping ourselves while they BS’d amongst themselves, or just watched us walk around.I made it clear very early on that we were in to spend some money today, but the associate seemed to have no interest in helping us land the order, or assist in styles, colors, availability, etc. It was so obvious the last time she walked away from our questions and products of interest and didn’t return, that she really was not going to help us buy anything in store today.We may or may not buy from west elm after all, but if we do- it will be to St Louis or online only. I’ve had better service from an online associates in California than this KC location.Don’t waste your time here. The reviews speak for themself, unfortunately
Marla J: If you want to be talked down to by middle management and not be allowed to purchase items featured in the store then the west elm on the country club plaza is the place for you. One star is one too many.I was directed to this location while looking online before actually making the intended purchase in store. The store had this product on the sales floor. The computer inventory noted 3 in stock. At this point , one might foolishly think they could pay for this item and leave with it. One would be wrong. Did you know that west elm middle management can just declare an item "display only" and refuse to sell it to you? True story. Come to discover these recently established "displays" were "just set for a corporate visit next week" so I was not allowed to go home with one. Incidentally, the item I wanted to purchase was a planter pot...not a large piece of furniture ...not a custom piece...a planter (because one usually needs to see a pot in a "showroom" before committing to the purchase!?) This can only lead me to conclude that the optics for a corporate visit supersedes a paying customer. I was directed to go back home and order the item online forcing me to incur shipping charges. To be clear, I was in store. I was ready to purchase. I was shocked to find the middle management approach of selective service and terrible customer service to be sanctioned by their corporate office. I now know this because I called the customer service line and apparently they can just deny you product if they want to declare it display only. Online indicated it was in store to sell, as did another in-store associate (who was legit wonderful and helpful) but evidently Joseph can look at you and make a different call. Does this seem right at any level?! This product apparently only exists to put on a good show for corporate visits while actively sending customers away. When I tried to address this issue with Joseph he refused "to discuss it further". He wouldn't even offer to have it shipped to store at no charge but did let me know shipping would only cost me $18. As I stood a foot away from this look-but-don't-touch planter in a perfectly set display, he embodied sales prevention. I am shocked he has been employed at this location for any length of time let alone the years I have seen him there with his consistently apathetic approach toward pesky and dispensable customers. I am truly astonished and disheartened that the behavior of this individual is acceptable, encouraged, and allows for him to be in position of power / authority for others to learn from.I am not so naive to believe that my refusal to support such an establishment and company will negatively impact west elm, whose business model clearly does not value a paying customer, but the bar simply cannot and should not be this low. Take your money and your support elsewhere.
Julie Lutz: Never buy anything from West Elm that you can’t get in person at the store. If something is going to be delivered it will take forever. Their items are beautiful and well-made, but it took them a year to deliver our chairs. After reaching out to them multiple times to find out the status of the order, they would tell us that they had a vendor making the chairs, and so they couldn’t provide any details. Finally after a year when we tried to cancel, that item shipped. This is a common experience, their delivery is horrible. I keep getting sucked in because their items are so beautiful, but after every purchase, I think to myself I can never get something from the store again. But taking a year to get a product is the last straw. I’m telling everyone not to buy from them, because they seem unable to produce products that they advertise on their website.

Phil Bo: Here a little story of how it is like to order from west elm in 2021/22…We ordered knowing our delivery date was supposed to be October or November latest. Now it is February and we are sitting here with HALF a bed. Buyer beware. They advertise for things they cannot deliver…. Their delivery service is even worse.Ryder scheduled 5 times before they came out and that means they send 3 emails, 4 phone calls and 3 texts to confirm, but surprise they don’t show up.Then they call you again to schedule a delivery and same thing countless phonically texts emails and surprise surprise no package.They started scheduling in December, however we didn’t get the package till January and the morning of, the call: we are bringing you part 1 …WHAT? Oh yeah you are getting the second half next week we couldn’t fit it on the truck. I was patient, but guess what they lost the second half.Not only did they lose it, but also did they still try to schedule this 3 times. I was at home waiting … they didn’t show … I had to call to find out they lost it. OH yeah and they do not deliver without signature even if you request so I had to take of work too for them not to show up…Still waiting on my second half, it is now February. I contacted west elm multiple time to resolve this and here is what they offered me: Second half in March 12-24 … WOW…You be the judge. I think this is unacceptable and very unprofessional. Then I tried to cancel and get a refund. Not only do I have to deal with a lady in India that doesn’t speak English, but also do they say this: you can have a refund, but you won’t receive it until we PICK UP the other half of the bed….. Are they crazy ? SO they can pick up the half and go through all this but not get me my other half?Here is my conclusion…. NEVER BUYING FROM THEM AND TELLING EVERYONE … Please support your local carpenter and furniture maker we need to end giving these monopoly companies and china our money…

I guess I do not ‘fit’ their look. (I was in sandals and a tank top)Fortunately, the concierge at my hotel referred me to NFM, where I not only found what I was looking for but, decided on upgrading several other rooms, as well. $14,000 later, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and will take my business there from now on.

The furniture is beautiful, good service from in-store reps but customer service post-purchase has been totally inexistent. If you don't call to find out what's going on, you will never hear from them after your purchase, seriously! One time they told us the furniture was still at LAX, the next that they didn't know where one of the sectional pieces was, the next the furniture had already arrived and no one seemed to bother to call us to schedule delivery. The furniture takes not weeks but MONTHS longer than the projected date to arrive. Nevertheless I have been paying for the furniture since I ordered it. I called today for my last piece of furniture and they told me it had arrived at the beginning of the month but once again no one bothered to call. It happened exactly the same way with my previous purchases. Customer service post-purchase I insist is inexistent, I just called their delivery service because West Elm simply does not care to make sure the delivery is arranged for the customer. The delivery service said, "we will call you back in 10 minutes to set it up and I'm still waiting 3 hours later." If you don't believe all the reviews in this page, do a quick search on google for trustpilot reviews. Stay away from this place, try the designer store from NFM, Ethan Allen, Thomasville or even Restoration Hardware, anything! You will save yourself lots of anguish and headaches.

Erica Nicholson: Like so many others, I need help! I ordered my furniture in July and had an estimated delivery date of October 3rd but haven't received anything. I have emailed and messaged on Facebook but I haven't been responded to in weeks. The phone number on the website is disconnected. I understand there are shipping delays but all I want is to be communicated with. I really hope I didn't just throw away $1,000.Edit 10/14: If you're considering buying from this place and looking at this review, please don't buy—you're probably not going to get what you purchase. If you're in a situation like me, and have already purchased something but it hasn't been delivered and/or you haven't been communicated with in months, I would recommend going to your debit/credit card company and disputing the charge. Luckily, I was able to get a refund. To Furniture Spot: I have no idea what is happening on your end, but if there was an emergency, or even if you're dealing with supply chain issues, please know that your customers will likely understand if you just COMMUNICATE WITH US. A simple Facebook post explaining the situation or an automatic email reply would suffice. And if you're unable to fulfill orders, shut down your website and give refunds. Buying furniture from this store has been one of the most stressful and frustrating experiences I've ever had.

They look amazing btws (I mean seriously I love the half of my modular couch lol) Im glad I got something and Alyssa was amazing during the process. Idk what happened but she stopped responding. They ended up sending me the complete incorrect piece from what I detailed that I needed in a VIDEO showing the issue, as requested. I have never been able to contact them since now matter how many emails and calls, (I still have all the proof) and another part went bad with the couch within two weeks of having it. Still haven't been contacted back and I guess I will have to take further actions. Not recommended.I would be happy to adjust this review if the owners would get back in touch with me and help resolve matters and provide me with the couch that I paid for, rather than a mechanically malfunctioning one. I don't know what else to do other than leave this review and contact the BBB about what happened.

micah fritz: I'm not saying don't purchase from this store, but I'd highly recommend reading through this before moving forward in your decision making.On August 22, 2020 my wife and I purchased a sectional set for over $2500. We did not receive it until spring of 2021. We were patient the entire time wanting to support local small business especially during COVID. When the sectional arrived (March 28, 2021) and delivered into our home, there was a bracket that was bent along with a hole in one of the pieces. There was also a missing plug in for our recliner. We contacted and let the owners (Alissa and Nick) know about the situation. Nick came and picked up the piece in question and said we'd hear from them once it was figured it out.It is now July and we still haven't received our fully functional sectional. I reached out about our pieces and was called by Nick (July 10, 2021) to give me an update. He shared with me my only option was to use my warranty to get the items taken care of because Ashley is being difficult. I shared with him as a customer I don't think I should have to use a warranty on a brand new product and the business should be advocating for our family...(using the warranty then voids it from being able to be used again). He shared with me I was the one who put a hole in the couch moving it in. I let him know we paid for in-home delivery and he said I did not and I am the one who ruined it. He then stated I had to go and pick up the piece (even though I paid for delivery)...he did state he would deliver it, but I should never text, email or call them again and we are no longer allowed to be customers.The reason for two stars is because our interaction with Alissa the evening we purchased our set was very accommodating. However, everything since then, we haven't been taken care of as a customer and am being blamed for issues we did not do and have proof of it.As I shared previously, I'm not saying don't support this business...but I would be highly aware you may not be taken care of at all, then yelled at and threatened on the phone by one of the owners and told you are the reason your items are damaged.—Edited after a call from the owner, Nick.I have now been informed he will not be delivering the item in question and the police will be called if I enter their store because of my honest review on Google and Yelp. Rainbow Savvy: Don't usually put in the effort to do negative reviews but this particular situation was pretty disappointing. We purchased a couch here in April 2022 with the warranty through Montage Furniture with it, which was offered to us when we mentioned we had cats. Sales associate said it would cover any and all pet damage up to 5 years. $149.99 extra for it. And for a $1300 couch that definitely seemed worth it. Some months later we ended up filing a claim with Montage which was denied and said they would not cover the damage, which is what we purchased the warranty for in the first place. I looked up Montage online and found an immense amount of bad reviews about them. But what made me feel we'd really been had was when I went on the Furniture deals website to find the couch we bought to make sure I was referencing it by name correctly, found it. The Benchmark. Then some weeks later it's name changed. Same couch, but now called something different, the Tracling. We should have done our research on all ends as now we are sat with a couch that wont be fixed under a warranty we paid for that should cover the damages and no refund for either. My advice to others to do your research first.

Crista Ell: Incompetent, rude and degenerative staff. I was consistently hung up on by a “manager” named “Chris” after attempting to place an online order. I would not recommend this location.
Scot Reeser: Be aware of Crate And Barrel‘s procedure on discontinued items. I bought a coffee table 2 years ago and are missing a couple parts when I moved. It’s a part that I could order from the manufacture but they won’t give me the manufactures name and since they have discontinued, the Parson table line of products, I am SOL and I’ve been buying from this company for 20 years never again Crate And Barrel never never again. I called customer service and they reached out to their group to see what they would do for me and they gave me links to Amazon to try to buy a part which won’t fit. This is the kind of service I get from a company like Crate And Barrel I might as well buy from Tuesday morning and they’re going out of business.After I posted this, they asked me to reach out to them which I did and they said they were sorry there’s nothing they could do for me, and would not give me the manufactures name. Why did they asked me to call them in the response statement?

I've had good luck shopping there in the past as I like simple white dishes and bowls, classic design glasses, etc. I was looking for some ramekins on this trip and their selection was nearly nil. Standing off to the side while obviously shopping on my phone to find ramekin retailers nearby, I kept being interrupted by sales people asking if they could help me. "Help me on my phone?", I would ask. Automaton sales people drive me nuts. I did purchase a single glass to replace one that had broken and the cashier was friendly and efficient.

Delivered fast via UPS. 2 plates and 1 cup damaged during shipping. Called immediately customer service - was expecting long wait time and having to jump through hoops to fix. Instead, customer Service answered quickly, and said they will ship replacement right away with no further steps required from me. Received replacement within a week in perfect condition. Certainly they gained a fan - between perfect customer service and fantastic quality of purchased items and reasonable pricing, I will be a return Customer for sure.

When I went to check out I stood at the counter for a little over a minute while 3 associates carried on a conversation. I was then directed to another check out counter where the cashier was less than helpful. I attempted to sign up for rewards I've I recently spent over $600 in this particular store. For whatever reason my phone number wouldn't register even tho I have had a membership some years ago. Aftwe being prompted to retry my number by the cashier all she did was ring me out with no attempt to assist to ensure my account was active. I has just re-registered my number using their text for rewards program. When I asked if I could later use my receipts to acquire the points I had just earned the cashier then rudely exclaimed it would have to be done online. Well clearly that would be the case..I just wanted to ensure I could get points for my second purchase!! I will not return to this store anytime soon. To the gentleman that helped me Sunday before last, thank you for providing exceptional customer service.

We had a specific 30 minute check in window to notify the store when we were arriving.After 15 minutes of waiting for assistance, the staff first brought out the incorrect table. Another 15 minutes passed and the staff finally brought out the correct table.
