Daze Creamer-Ellecamp: Never called back for an apt and I've been trying for 8 months I call atleast once a week and always get hung up on or put on hold and never answered. I've even reached out to individual students who post that they need cleaning patients for school and they all ghost you totally unprofessional I just need a basic 6 month cleaning.
jorge Dominguez: Horrible. The people there don't even know what they are doing half the time, and good luck with a simple appointment. A simple tooth extraction took them 6 months to even see a surgeon. Wouldn't recommend place is trash.
Watts: They refer you to other departments and the other department won’t even call you to set up an appointment. Went from having minor tooth aches with my wisdom teeth to now I’m in complete pain sitting here waiting on a phone call for a couple months now! Will not be returning
Kate Kaufman: I had originally gone in for a tooth emergency. It took awhile to get an account set up in order to make future appointments. I didn’t go in for a couple months, but had another issue pop up. In hopes to set up an appointment, I discovered my account was deactivated and they would not reactivate it. So in order to be seen, I’d have to go through the emergency clinic and pay the emergency fee all over again. Poor communication and very frustrating.
Nathan Taylor: I had a really bad experience with my family dentist of many years. Subpar work, unnecessary procedures, bizarre billing practices to name a few of the issues. Someone recommended the UMKC Dental School. I should have immediately gone because when I asked my former dentist he did nothing but badmouthing his alma mater. I eventually went and I am absolutely glad I did. The staff are all great and my dental student Dr Feldmann is absolutely wonderful! I couldn’t be happier!
Esa U: The students are so kind and patient. They're willing to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of. Truly awesome. The cashier with thick dark glasses and blonde highlights is a disgusting human being. She has no business working a job that involves human interaction. I always keep my bill paid and I was respectful. She is just NASTY for absolutely no reason.

Kelli C: Came because of tooth pain and I paid 50 for the emergency. Ended up needing an incision and drain my student dentist took me up to pay the lady’s card machine was down so I had to pull money out of the atm to pay her everything was good so we went to proceed with the procedure and then I can back to following Monday to remove the drain and get my tooth pulled. My dad paid for the extraction with problems and then I got my procedure and left them after that I kept receiving a letter for a bill I figured it was a mistake cause I paid up front and there was no description of cause. When I called I was transferred to the accounts department I was trying to explain how I received a bill and I was confused because I paid upfront and she cut me off and said “like all our patients do” I said yes then I asked what I was being charged for and the lady was rude and said that I owed $10 for my incision and drain I was trying to get more information because I know I paid upfront before I even went upstairs and she was being smart saying “let’s do math” and was very rude and told me “I should’ve paid the bill at the time” which I under the impression I did and I told the lady I’m not complaining just trying to make sure that this won’t go into collections on my credit and asked if I can just pay the $10 she said “I could transfer you but we close at 4:30 and I don’t have time for this” note that it was only 4:17 which means I could’ve paid the bill and been done with the whole situation. She then proceeded to say that I’ll have to “figure it out Monday” and hung up the phone. I refuse to be talked to rudely when all I’m trying to do is pay a bill I shouldn’t have gotten and also it’s not my fault someone charged me the wrong amount for my procedure. They really need to talk to their employees about being disrespectful to patients. Will not be coming back.
Cheryl Zahner: I’ve been going to UMKC Dental for over 2 yrs. They will pay your insurance however you pay upfront and then you get reimbursed from your insurance which is fine and acceptable however all of a sudden it’s taking more than two weeks to get a crown back the material doesn’t seem to be as good I have a tendency to go through the temporary crowns too frequently But they don’t bill my insurance until the work is completed which plays havoc on my finances so what seems to be the problem now they have a new vendor for their lab if I have to pay upfront to have my work done that I should be able to have my claims sent to my insurance at the time of payment since I have to pay upfront. Is my only alternative to go to a regular dentist instead of going to the dental school?
Lanae Scott: Major issues in the billing department, I went there for a refund a half an hour after paying and they told me to have a seat it would be a while, students are fine and friendly adults need to be retrained to be adults because all they do is pass the pass with no accomplishment. Called from home for refund & left on hold, when biller came back she had no clue so told her to transfer me to ADMINISTRATION, she passed me to some other depth and I left message but no one responded

4theHorde !!!: I gave 3 stars because the students were very polite and nice, however in my case I am in a lot of pain and I would not recommend going here if you’re in pain because they won’t operate on you on the same day unless you’re extremely lucky.
Robert Arnold: The two ladies impatient account are very unprofessional they do not know what the school insurance will take or not take. They lock my account for a hundred and some bucks they would not work with me to make monthly payments that I'm a disability. I would highly recommend you run away from this school

Mommy Angie’s Channel: They charged me full price for basic services covered by my insurance with the excuse that there are issues with Kansas Medicaid so some patients have lingering balances. $110 out of pocket for just a basic X-ray!!!! RIDICULOUS
Brandon Gilmore: This place is a joke. You’re going to wait for a very long time, even with an appointment. They are rude, you will be treated as if they don’t even want you there. The pricing is not that much of a discount. Use at your own risk.

Joseph Gilligan: I can’t speak to the care or education offered here but only to the building: only high level marketing and administrative staff are afforded a window while everyone else occupying the building is trapped in a concrete cube. UMKC consistently invests in renovations and remodels instead of closing the building until demand and funding are enough to construct new occupant-friendly buildings.

I paid in full each time I received service, of which last was the worst extraction you can imagine. I was called by collection agency, I had not received any billing this whole time.Pot luck with rud billing people!

Midwest Mike D: My experience there was trouble. First they told me I owe them like $78 dollar last time I visit. Since my dental insurance pay 80 pct. So I told them cool . Next time I come i pay . Came back next visit they say I owe them over $700 because my insurance this this and that . My thing is I got 1 deep cleaning on both side . And they told me $78 now over $700. If I knew that I would not got deep cleaning. But I am sure they need the cost before they did that cleaning deep cleaning.

Sheree Barker: First off I did not find or see any front desk people being rude to me or anyone else. While having my bottom teeth removed, I was very impressed with the level of care that was provided. Reassuring the whole way through the procedure, by being told I was doing great. One tooth was a lot of trouble to get out, since it was trying to become part of the jaw bone. While trying to grind the bone down to get a root. So a tip of a root was left in, and was then given a bone graft by an instructor free of charge since they took to much bone. Overall I am happy to be a patient, and to be apart of helping a young dentist and helper learn. They really do cover the details, and more than happy to explain things that are happening throughout. Then three days later a stich just fell out, and in two more days the other two desolved. Was like none of the stitches worked to seal up the area they was in. Went back to get another stitch since was a long cut as could see down far into it, but then that stich just came untied and fell out in two days. This time just going to continue to rinse with salt water, and wait and see if it seals up on its own. Since these dentists are graduating, maybe the next ones tie better knots in the stitches that stay. But just going to let the area heal on its own to see what the body can do it's self for repairs. Have only been drinking my food by blending meal replacements in magic bullet. Have not been wearing my upper dentures at all, so no chewing action has been happening what so ever. Be back to add more to review as it happens.
yew tewb: Contact the Missouri Dental Board if you have a complaint of mistreatment. File a complaint online. Its very easy and makes a BIG difference. Even if they correct the problem that they caused you still need to file a complaint. This will keep others from being a victim
