First came to F×××××, got Bill of 400 some dollar without cleaning right side of my teeth, they said I need deep clean and needed one more schedule for it! He is open to feedback from me, the patient, so I feel we and the staff are all working together on my smile. Kevin Raasch: Found Dr Raman on a last ditch effort to fix my headaches. I would have never thought that my jaw was related to my headaches. Been to countless pain dr's, Mayo Clinic, Neurologists and all they wanted to do was treat me with drugs.I never had jaw pain at all so never thought my headaches would be from my jaw. Anna Quintero: I sought help from Dr. Raman & his team in May 2022 after developing excrutiating pain in my left jaw joint radiating in my ear, a grinding & popping sound when I chewed, migraine headaches when I talked & vertigo whenever I layed my head back. After thorough testing, including CT imaging, Dr. Raman diagnosed my problem & proposed several treatment plan options. Both of my jaw joints were severely damaged due to years of misaligned teeth & bruxism. I was skeptical at first & a little hesitant due to the cost, but I was at my wits end. I made the mistake of starting with a dentist who was closer to my home, and slightly more economical. I wasted over a year of time and financial resources pursuing a solution that never materialized. Dr. Raman’s holistic approach is exemplary of his vast knowledge and understanding of treating TMD. Do your research and you will see it is not just a disorder of the jaw, but the whole body. After a year in treatment with Dr. Raman and his able staff, I am pain free, popping free, and have a beautiful, healthy smile. The entire experience was wonderful.

Chhaya Kolavalli: Dr. Raman and his team are lifesavers.My dentist referred me to Dr. Raman after a jaw injury suddenly left me with serious pain and really limited mobility. I'd had jaw clicking for years (with no pain), so thought nothing of it - but the injury was the breaking point for my TMD. During my first appointment, Dr. Raman also pointed out that my chronic migraines and headaches were likely a result of living with TMD, too.I'm about 9 weeks into treatment (using an orthotic for phase 1; orthodontic treatment for phase 2) and my jaw pain is about 80-90% improved - I can eat normally, and the pain recedes more and more everyday. I've only had one migraine since the orthotic was put in place (compared to 4x weekly headaches, and 1-2x migraines a week, prior). I wish I'd known to seek TMD treatment with Dr. Raman before symptoms got so bad, but I'm immensely grateful to have found him at all!

I was in constant jaw pain, headaches on left side.Dr. Raman did thorough screening ( lots of measurement , scan) before deciding the right treatment for me.As part of my treatment ,for phase 1 Dr. Raman suggested me to wear orthotics ( custom made orthotics ) 24/7 for 3 months.I am at 7 weeks of my treatment and my symptoms related to tmj ( headache, eye strain and jaw pain) are now reduced 60%I still get flares occasionally but their severity is less and I can manage my tmj flare with some home treatments ( ice pack, eat soft food for some days)I would highly recommend Dr. Raman if you are looking for natural remedies for TMJ. Amy Stinson: I'm hopeful for the first time in years. This is all because of Dr. Raman, Amy and Melissa. They are friendly, experienced, and very thorough. You will leave the first appointment with an understanding of the jaws relationship to the body. It's mind boggling how TMD is not covered by insurance (medical and dental) when it affects so much of your life! They will all ask you frequently if you have any questions to make sure you completely understand everything. The amount of data they collect is insane and so interesting! It all leads to a complete understanding of how your jaw is working. I love how Dr. Raman is a very data driven Doctor. He will explain all the data and what it all means. But the best thing, he's not guessing!! He's not saying he "thinks" this is what's going on. He's letting you know that this IS what's going on and can back it up. When you move forward on treatment, you can see how the data assists in making your treatment just that. Your treatment. The commitment that Dr. Raman, Amy and Melissa have to making your life better is inspiring and I'm so glad I made the decision to move forward with treatment. The cost can be overwhelming, due to insurance not covering treatment, but after years of medications, surgeries, pain, constant doctor visits and loss of time dealing with all of it, It's worth it. Emma Stallings: I was not aware that they would not work with insurance. Amy wouldn't give me a rough estimate on the cost of treatment at our meeting before the consultation. I wasted $270 to be told treatment is about 11k and possibly more. I wasn't aware they wouldn't work with insurance until after everything was said and done. Do your research. There are other companies that give free consultations and work with insurance. Kicking myself for being so desperate.

Tracy Brewer: I found Dr. Raman after doing a google search for neuromuscular dentists, thankfully he was in my area! I'd been dealing with jaw, neck, and low back pain for decades and was never able to connect it to my misaligned bite or jaw. Although I knew I had TMJ and airway issues (sleep apnea) I didn't understand the pain could migrate to my low back.I spend tons of money with rheumatologists, functional medicine and was even treated for Lyme disease that I now know I never had. I've been in my fixed orthotic over a week and have seen an overall improvement of 65% already. I still have neck and low back pain but is reduced by 50% and my jaw pain is 90% improved and I'm no longer biting my tongue 24/7. KC Smokey: When I first came to see Dr. Raman in March of this year, I was in bad shape. A year prior to this I had begun experiencing migraines for the first time in my life. At first it was about once a month, then a couple times a month, then about once a week. Starting in December 2019, things became very severe. For 4 whole months I was experiencing migraines all day, every day, and I was so dizzy that even riding in the car, or fast forwarding a tv show was intolerable!After seeing many doctors, and no one being able to really figure out what was causing these horrible migraines, I was desperate to find answers. I started looking on the internet for cures for migraines, and doctors who might treat these. I came across ‘‘The Raman Center for Headache and Jaw Pain Treatment”, and to my surprise, it was located right here in Kansas City! I thought to myself, “just try one more time to give yet another doctor a chance”.I first saw Dr. Raman and his team in the beginning of March for a consultation. I was so pleased with the time he took to carefully listen to my medical history, and then his incredible knowledge about migraines, and what could be causing them. After his very thorough testing protocol, it was discovered that I had pretty severe problems with TMJ/TMD, and that this was most likely the cause for the migraines.I am a singer and had been having troubles with my voice for a couple years leading up to this with my range getting lower, and tightness in my throat, neck and shoulders. It was extremely frustrating and discouraging as it was affecting my performances. Then, when the migraines began on top of this, I was basically incapacitated! I was barely able to sing at all due to the fact that even the sound of my own soprano voice made my head ring, and made me incredibly dizzy. Immediately following that appointment, the migraines began to lessen in intensity. I improved so much in a few days that I miraculously was able to perform in that huge concert at the end of the week! I was so incredibly happy! The very next week, everything was shut down due to COVID-19. It means the world to me that I was able to sing that day, not realizing at the time it would be the very last concert I would sing at for a long time until it is safe to sing again.When doctor’s offices had permission to open up again, I began with the next follow-up appointment with Dr. Raman, then started physical therapy. A few weeks after Dr. Raman put in the temporary orthosis, I then also went to see my vocal coach for the first time since all this happened. To my shock, and my teacher’s shock as well, I was able to sing higher and much easier than before! We both were in tears at the amazing improvements in such a short time. As a singer, who also is a soprano, this has meant so very much to me!Currently, I am still undergoing physical therapy, and testing out the temporary orthosis. So far, I am incredibly happy with the results!! My migraines now are about 80% improved!! The horrible dizziness I was experiencing along with this has improved about 70%. I’m able to do a lot of daily tasks that I was unable to do at all prior to seeing Dr. Raman. I even have a little more energy than I had before!I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Raman, Melissa, and Amy, as well as my physical therapist, Bob, that they also have me working with, for their care, knowledge, and compassion for me as a patient. Jackson Engel: So this is about a year later after my visit with Dr. Raman and at the time of my visit I wasn't really there mentally partially due to my inability to cope with the pain during a really stressful time of my life with my parents getting a divorce and the start of developing this condition realizing the possible severity of it while also performing in musical productions near the end of High School I started to snap from all of the pressure and needing to sing and perform putting a smile on all of the time when it hurt to smile and act was extremely frustrating when I used to do just smile to make other people happy without even thinking about it.. A year or two later the conditions have ramped up to the extent that I feared they would and I'm not even that upset about it not as much as I thought I would be anyways. The physical pain is no where near as painful as the emotional pain of losing almost everyone I had grown to love throughout High School because of how depressed I let myself become. It's extremely painful and debilitating to live with but now that I know it can't get any worse than it is I guess it just doesn't matter. After reading a lot of these reviews I believe I know that Dr. Raman is not a quack like my mother thought he was he picks and chooses who to save based off of whether or not he thinks they're good people and at that time of my visit I was not a good person by any means living life just felt like another role I had to play. I got angry at my mom for not understanding my pain when there's no way she or anyone not experiencing this first hand can understand. I don't know this condition is a nightmare I wish it could go away but at this point I'm not really sure if it ever will but whatever happens, happens. Savannah Adams: Dr. Raman and his clinic have been a literal life changer. 7 years ago, I started having jaw discomfort, some slight clicks and pops along the way. As the years passed, the pain incrementally got worse. In the last 4 years I was experiencing intense headaches at least three times a week, and jaw pain every day. Every time I would open my mouth my jaw clicked and popped, and it had stopped me from eating certain foods. My "treatment" prior to seeing Dr. Raman was a splint I received from my dentist and extra strength ibuprofen from my PCP. I was always told TMJ pain was something that you can't fix, this is something you'll have to live with and I was pushed towards pain management rather than solutions. My chronic pain was something I was resigned to live with.Start of 2020, I was introduced to Dr. Raman's clinic. After a couple visits (consultation and testing), Dr. Raman had set up a treatment plan for me. I was blown away by the results and depth of information presented to me. I had also been experiencing neck and back pain and Dr. Raman showed how my posture had contributed to the issue. The reason for my posture? The position of my jaw! So after being presented with all the information, I went ahead with the fixed orthotic treatment plan, admittedly a tiny bit skeptical but more than excited to see if this would truly aid in limiting all the pain I had felt for so long.The first week after the orthotic was placed, I was floored. Sandie Davis: I am fortunate enough to have been Dr. Raman’s dental patient for 25 years now. Early in my patient history, I had to have him provide me with multiple crowns and a root canal after I had cracked FOUR molars due to grinding my teeth. He provided me with a mouth guard to wear at night and the quote “lips together, teeth apart”. He also provided me with a very detailed description of why I grind my teeth due to misalignment of my jaw, how this affects so many aspects of physical health, and that he could re-align my teeth to help resolve these numerous health issues. I was a ballet dancer and my theory is it created a high tolerance for pain because I finally had had enough 25 years later! He has always had the utmost respect for his patients to make their own decisions on their own timeline about treating TMJ. I had successful SHORT-TERM relief from headaches, neck pain and even adjustments to my jaw and ear canal from my chiropractor over the years, but the pain would return over time, and I would have to see the chiropractor more and more as I aged. My jaw itself has started to deteriorate, and my sleep has been fitful for decades, which in and of itself creates a whole anxiety spiral. Health is never robust when sleep is lost, and I lost much sleep over the years with pain in my head, jaw, neck and all the way down my shoulders into my back. I had to go to an Ear, nose and throat doctor and be prescribed steroids as my ear canal would often become painfully congested. Now that Dr. Raman has re-aligned my teeth to a proper position, my headaches, jaw aches, ear aches, and neck and shoulder soreness that I lived with for so long are no longer issues I have to suffer with. Sleep has been restorative and I wake up feeling like I’m actually rested. My jaw used to feel like it was grinding and clicking and it was tender and sore all of the time, and now find myself being freed up to think about so many other aspects of life other than what is hurting! I really am so relieved I FINALLY decided to do something about being so miserable, it was so worth it.

Cheyene Crum: Wasn't able to make it through the weekend with a tooth that filling cracked, scheduled the appointment sat for in Sunday morning! 🙌 They were friendly, nice establishment, and for a first time having a root canal they were professional and helpful with my anxiety by explaining the experience and checking in! Worked with my insurance and me to make it financially capable for me to to at such short notice! And this was on play off weekend so I'm just glad they were evenopen ! Making them my primary dental physician ☺😄😄❤💛 10/10

Twila Moore: My recent trip to have my teeth cleaned wasn’t the best experience.I went in on Friday, 12/16/22 for my six month cleaning and the hygienist was very pushy. I explained to her that the tools she was using were causing me a great deal of pain.I asked for her to please stop, as I wasn’t able to tolerate the pain any longer. She refused to stop, but responded with, “ you have gingivitis and if I don’t remove it all you can basically get gum disease and develop serious complications from it”. I then told her that, I don’t believe that I have gingivitis, but old glue on my teeth from having worn braces many years prior.The hygienist, acted as if I offended her by saying that she knows the difference between gingivitis and glue. She also wasn’t very sanitary when handling my cleaning, as she was touching other things and then going back and forth between my cleaning. After she finished and I meet with the Dentist, he was pleasant. I don’t think I will return because of my overall experience.

The Mother and both her daughters are the Real Deal, I ENJOY THESE LADIES. THEIR kindness is Absolutely Amazing! I just love Lauren, GREAT JOB LADY. She's the BEST!!! The Dentist himself is Amazing!! I'm no longer scared of dental work after 25 years!! I may be Lil nervous🤦🏽‍♀️ but not afraid. I give this Office 10 Stars!!! I LOVE Dental Corner, keep up the Exceptional Work YALL ROCK

Oshai: Just an awful place with awful staff who clearly never went to school for Dentistry. I HAD to put at least one star or I COULDN'T leave a review. All they care about is the money. I noticed the front desk lady picking her nose and touching things up front in the waiting room, then going to the back, scratching between her legs and handing the doctor something. I made sure she didn't come into my room. On the same visit, they pulled the wrong tooth out of someone's mouth. DO NOT GO HERE !

Raytop Gaming: Not gone lie they are garbage emergency tooth extraction = highway robbery here. Definitely will get over on an emergency situation. Literally this place is like a hospital that refuses to treat a patient who's leg got cut off or they will tax you 1000 for an xray and the extraction for one tooth no sirrrr will not recommend this place.

HANNAH FANCHER: All three of my children (ages 11-16) see Dr. Barber at Dental Corner and they LOVE HER! We have had to cycle thru a few dentists due to two of my children being terrified and Dr. Barber is the first ever to make them feel comfortable and fear-free! The entire staff is incredibly kind and helpful and my kids now look forward to their cleaning appts. We cannot recommend Dr. Barber enough, she is truly amazing!

They were able to get me in within the hour and had my bad tooth out and I was on my way home after only having to wait a very short time. I would highly recommend this office

Love Jo beth my hygienist , very through , patience and my teeth feel clean she is the best . Sherri the front desk lady is nice and friendly , explain your benefits well . Dr Motoref a man of few words , he pulled 2 teeth and was very gentle I didn't feela thing. Best place, everyone make sure you are comfortable. A bunch ofGreat people's . Kyra Brown: I would not recommend this place. They just want the money. Don't take time to work on you. Please find some where else to get care. Horrible experience. You tell them it hurts and they keep drilling.

Red Roses: Dental corner on 87th Street, KCMO. Would rate it a zero if I could. Went in for teeth cleaning appointment, came out a few hours later with no cleaning! They took a bunch of xrays and told me that they will send an authorization to my insurance for "deeper cleaning" which of course, cost more. They had total disregard for my time they completely wasted. This was after taking a bunch of xrays a couple of months prior to this visit. I have never had this experience, ever, anywhere else. Needless to say, I am switching clinics.
