After asking for the Manager Phone number so I could contact them myself I was told I wasn't allowed to have it and shouldn't worry because I was due for a phone call or maintenance visit any time. Still nothing after another 30 minutes. So we booked a hotel room to spend the night somewhere livable. Now office is refusing to reimburse me the cost of having to find emergency shelter for my family.Furthermore, On Numerous occasions I have made reports of vehicles being broken into with no confirmation whatsoever on steps or precautions taken by the office to prevent future incidents. In fact it almost seems as if my calls are being avoided. The only time you can talk to anyone in the office is if you show up in person and force a conversation.Moving here was a mistake, one we will not be making again when lease is up.

Abigail Grimm: Don’t bother renting here! The place has not been cared for properly in the three years we have lived here. Even the old maintenance man quit knowing he was being treated unfairly. The carpet they originally installed has done nothing but come apart at every seam. This was not reported to management for fear of having our rent increased. A recent maintenance request for a broken window has been ignored due to what they deem as a financial issue although they decided to raise our rent according to our ‘new’ lease agreement. Management never walks through the property so they have no clue as to what goes on in the complex…solely relying on tenant feedback which is not how a business is run. I was a former apt manager and new precisely what was going on without disturbing my tenants privacy. If you are thinking about renting here please drive on!!! Oh, and if you see 5 star reviews on this thread they are planted posts written by the company or friends and family because no sane person in their right mind would give the coves north such high praise, it makes me want to puke!!

kali: Please don’t come here if you’re black. They will discriminate you especially Ashlee. Ashlee was very rude and disrespectful. It was the day of my move in and I brought in proper paperwork and she was asking for other paperwork that was not recommended, however Rachel was the sweetest person I met. Rachel helped me before my move in day and I got approved by her. Turned in three money orders which were the July rent I paid for, application fee, and the deposit. Now back to Ashlee I asked her for my money back since I couldn’t move in the day I was supposed to she claims she needs to contact her supervisor when she should’ve did this in the very first place. So with that being said I will contact my lawyer for discrimination because I didn’t deserve that at all.

K W: DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! Our truck was stolen within the first week of moving and again 6 months later!!! Front office does not care. There are always car break ins and they do not take the proper precautions to secure the grounds and keep these theives caught or from coming. This place is monjey hole and is terribly insulated. Our gas bill ia through the roof bc the rooms won't stay warm. The windows are so old and you can hear wind whistling through the windows. After our truck was stolen the first time, all the residents recieved a newletter warning of car theft and a pedophile wandering around.. But tried to reassure it was not at the Coves, which is a total lie. You pay waaaayyy too much for how ran down and thw type of people you live around.

Adam Brown: I lived there for 4 years. As someone mentioned in another review, their process for resolutions WAS pretty ugly. Sometime in 2015 or maybe early 2016 they launched an online portal which was awesome because I could setup rent to auto draft and also log/track work orders directly. The outstanding issues I had were fixed all within 1-2 weeks when I began using that. I may have gotten lucky, but I rarely had an issue with the neighbors. I am actually moving back in soon, in fact. If my experience is any different, I might come back and edit this review, but I am optimistic!

Ella Fayne: This keeps coming up on my face screen I don't know what it wants from me other than I would say Coves North Apartments not recommended Amanda is still here you have to request three four five times something to be done I have had neighbors who have complained about toilet water leaking downstairs and maintenance asking what are they supposed to do about it there has been a lady that died in a downstairs apartment her air duct was never claimed the new tenants weren't notified somebody died in it like a month before Amanda acts like she is the property owner not simply property manager I would suggest people look around surrounding complexes there are some really nice ones. If the cove's North is a minute stop I can see but if you plan on living here over a year you have no clue what your next rate will be.

Karie Reyes: Lived there for almost a year! Very loud, disrespectful kids, trash everywhere. Management is horrible, especially if Amanda is working. Maintenance is horrible. When I first moved in the toilet in the second bedroom leaked...along with the shower leaking water. The floor would fill with water...and started causing the floor boards to mold, there were roaches, wasps that always flew in from the fireplace, and besides that you pay way to much to deal with all that. When I broke my lease "all the above" still had yet to be fixed. Horrible and way over priced for what you get. Convenient neighborhood and nice area...but the complex is ghetto!

We moved here from a pretty bad apartment complex, but we should've known it wouldn't be much different coming here being that this complex and the old one runs together. We moved in and our balcony was, and still is, cracked. We can't entertain, nor put furniture out there and enjoy our balcony. We were told it would be fixed before we moved in. It is now 6 months later and its still not fixed. However, they did not forget to increase our rent after our 6 months of living here. After a month of living here, I decided to grab one of my books to read one night that I had sitting up against my wall near the living room window and a huge bug came from behind it. Once I removed all my books to see what was going on, there was an infestation of spiders, some kind of slimy thing...and LOTS AND LOTS of rollie pollies!! Just when I thought I killed them, a whole bunch more came back the next night, and the next. Every night for 3 months! They were in our bedroom, living room, and the bathroom. I had to literally call my lawyer and have him come out and take pictures. It was bad, we had to buy our own traps for the bugs and the pest guy was NOT spraying. There were times when he came in and put a paper in my kitchen to say he was here then leave, not knowing that some of those times I was home in the other room and knew what he was doing! Then when I asked him would the bugs stop, he told me no because its getting colder outside so they will still come in. Really? It took me to call the person over the office manager and my lawyer to send a letter to headquarters in order for them to fix the issue. They had to call a pest control company to come out and do what their pest control guy couldn't. After that happened we found out that the building we were moved into was "lifted" which means the foundation was broke causing many cracks within the apartment. The balcony included. Our main closet is actually pulled from the wall on one side of the closet, and our windows were out of place which was why we were getting the rollie pollies inside. I told them for months they were coming through the window, but they insisted on fixing everything but the windows. It took 5 months to get new windows. Once we got the windows and "some" of the cracks fixed and installed, the carpet was a mess. They knew it was cause they were in here with them at times. They said they would have the carpet cleaned, but after 2 weeks the carpet looked the same. So when I called, the manager told me it was cleaned already. So again, I took pictures to get ready and send to my lawyer, AGAIN, she called me back and told me she would send the carpet man, "again". I kept calling that day to make sure it was done. So now...We have one last MAJOR problem left that they have not decided to fix yet. There has been a leak going on in the kitchen for a while. "Supposedly" the leak was fixed. Well now the wood under my sink stinks and looks molded. Every time I walk in my apartment, it stinks! When I called about it, they claim to have not known about the issue, but it was reported several times like everything else in this apartment. I still have 7 months to go, I cant wait till it's over.I believe that this place could be a truly great experience if you fully fully fully inspect your apartment first. And DO NOT believe the whole "It'll be fixed before you move in" speech. The location is great, and the design of the apartment is great. Maintenance, the older guy, is very sweet. Management is very very unorganized when it comes to fixing things going wrong in your apartment. They don't even write work orders when they are reported. It's sad when the maintenance people are telling you to call in problems more than once because they do not receive them. We pay way too much a month to deal with what we deal with here. I truly believe this apartment was rigged before we got here. If you move here, be careful, and really watch what you move into.
