Taste Buds Kitchen: what do users think?
Rebecca Mae: Fantastic meal! BETTER than most restaurants! Chef Amy is a wonderful instructor! Taste Buds is your best bet if you're looking to combine fun, friends, and food!
Amanda Tuck: Loved our mommy and me Tea Party Event for mother's day. Very well organized the staff was warm and inviting. Great interaction with the kids. The recipe we followed was very tasty and provided a great deal of interaction over the course of the hour long event. Highly recommend Taste Buds Kitchen family events.
Andi Miller: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Melisa Loes: My 9 year old son absolutely loved the 5 day camp!!
Brian and Kristen Bosiljevac: Our daughter’s party was a huge success! Everything was very organized, well ran and fun! The staff was extremely friendly and kind. The kids were entertained the entire 2 hours and left the party happy and full! It was the easiest party to throw from a parent standpoint, because everything was taken care of!
Megan Schonert: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy 8 year old daughter and I absolutely loved the class. We have been attending these classes at Tastebuds for 4 years now… and we love every single one! We always have fun!
Hayley Wisnieski: We signed our 4 year old daughter up for her first camp last week and she LOVED it! We signed her up for 3 more the next week and plan to do more throughout the summer and school breaks! She loved being able to actually cook the desserts and use her creativity to decorate her final products. She was so proud of everything she brought home and even made friends at her table. Great experience!
Roxanne Sabatino: This was my 3rd time there. Took my 8 year old niece who thoroughly enjoyed it!
Bailey Kilty: Baylie and team were fantastic! We had a great time and the food was delicious!
Gary Reeder: First time attending an event like this. Taste Buds Kitchen is awesome. They communicated in advance what they do and don't do. What they provide (everything except drinks) What you are expected to bring (drinks and a willing to participate attitude.)The TBK lead for the night was Amy and she was cheerful, energetic, and spoke clearly with concise instructions. While being entertaining and engaging. We learned some new tricks to use in the kitchen and to cook a great meal. We will be doing this again and dragging (inviting) friends or family along next time.
Maria Bach: Great instruction! Fun and easy atmosphere! Amazing and energetic vibes!! Will do it again 😍
Katie Lord: One of our favorite places we do it multiple times a year as a mommy daughter outing. Keep up the good work.
Matt Mackin: It was an overall great experience. All the steps were explained thoroughly and the staff was always willing to help.
matt scarborough: What a fun evening with my sister! We had a blast making the Tapas and met some fun folks at our table. We'll be back for sure! Thanks for a fun night!
Loren Risch: Great fun, staff was friendly, funny and knowledgable. Food was fantastic.
Ann Marie Dunlap: Fun evening with friends and a good teacher with helpers. The recipes were easily followed and tasty. Always a good time at Taste Buds.
Laura Layton: Great experience!
Christy McCallister: Good engagement with the kids. Short, clear and concise instructions. My 6 & 7 yr olds asked for more classes.
Bailey Nakelsky: We had such a great time today at the mommy and me donut class! Matt was so patient and just at the right level to keep my almost 3 year old entertained and engaged the entire time (this can be said about few people in our phase of life!). We will definitely be back!
Angela Pugh: This was a great experience and our teacher was wonderful! The facility is so nice and clean, the process was easy and streamlined, and all the kids were smiling the whole time!
Kerry Michael: What a fun date night! My husband and I enjoyed the experience. Everything was very organized, and the staff was very helpful. We will definitely take another class!

The Culinary Center of Kansas City: what do users think?
Michelle Saenz: I signed up for a class in June but I was able to attend the sooner class in May. There were 19 openings in the May class so I requested to transfer to that class. I received a voicemail advising me to sell my ticket for the June class and re-enroll in the May class. I called them back an Heather confirmed that this is my only option and they would not transfer my payment to another class. What???
Fear & Living: My friend registered for a sushi class and I registered for the wrong date. She called to switch her date to mine and they said ‘sell the ticket and take the money to buy a ticket for the other date.’ Just stupid, this place has gone downhill with their new policy. There’s 19 spots open in the date she is requesting. At least allow folks to transfer dates?
Kendra Moritz: Highly disappointed in their prioritization of policy over customer service. I purchased event tickets for 4 ($95 per ticket) and due to a death in the family, unable to attend. After speaking with the woman on the phone, she compared their ticket sales to those of the sprint center validating their inability to offer any type of change. Since I spoke with her a week prior to the event, I offered suggestions to see if they would be able to provide a portion or percentage of the ticket amount for us to come back at a later date and continue our relationship with this business (cover the expenses of our seats but show grace and desire to maintain my family as customers). She was beyond cold and made clear her annoyance with my unfortunate situation after I attempted to give my tickets away to friends, not having anyone able to go in our place.Policies should be put in place to support and protect a business, however, the best policies can do that while also maintaining a positive relationship with customers being a small, locally owned business. Beyond the outdated and blindly enforced policy, it is clear the woman on the phone needs training and support in customer service as the first (and sometimes only) individual someone interacts with.
Norene Gaines: If you have a passion for good food, learning how to cook better/easier or for cooking/kitchen tools & such, this is the place to go. Fun classes, pre cooked meals to go, kitchen boas & gadgets all in one spot & served with a sense of humor.
Angie Maggart: It's always a good time, and we learn a lot of fun new recipes
Richard Latham: Went here for a team building experience with work. The staff was friendly and it was overall a great experience. We did a mystery box, which did not come with clear directions, so I struggled. I'm the kind of cook that needs a recipe to follow. The team had a good time and I'd absolutely go again, maybe for a date night.
Nick Sandridge: Poor experience with Heather DeFeo Minor and a the KC Culinary Institute. I emailed Heather 48 hours ahead of our class to let her know I was interested in rescheduling due to a forecasted snowstorm. The snow came and roads were icy so my wife and I decided not to drive 40 minutes for the scheduled class as I was sure they’d be flexible with rescheduling. Boy was I wrong! Almost two weeks after my initial email to reschedule and having not gotten a response I called to speak with Heather where she was both rude and unhelpful, stating the cancellation policy was 72 hours not 48 regardless of weather conditions. She mentioned they were a small business struggling through the pandemic: I wonder if their struggle isn’t in part due to poor customer service and shortsighted business practices.
Facetime: Stopped in on a whim while visiting across the street. The people were friendly, the place was exceptionally clean, and it smelled amazing. One of my group will be going back for a cooking class in the future. Their selection of cookware was nicely curated, so if you need a serious kitchen tool, they will have it.
AdoredandChosen: Very hospitable environment! It was a Joy to be in the midst!
Tim Hayes: Great Pad Thai cooking class from Chef Jill
P Squared: I was visiting Overland Park from another state and bought several sets of general (non seasonal) coasters at this shop in mid-October. I changed my mind about a 3 of coasters (valued at $14) and called to ask if I could return them in late November when I'd be visiting again. The return policy states 30 days and my return would have been the 40-day mark. The woman answering the phone put me on hold and then came back and said, "No, absolutely not. We cannot do that." We are talking about new, unused, still in-the-package items. We are talking 10 days after the limit. Is business really so good (bad?) that a poor customer experience is worth Culinary Center of KC keeping their $14? What a disheartening experience.
Andrew Doerr: The cooking classes offered are a blast.
W. P.: Outstanding cooking experience for creative team building and eating a good lunch after!!!
Scott Archuletta: Unwilling to reschedule my class after I tested positive for Covid……complete waste of money, send yours elsewhere.
Jeff B: The wife and I enjoyed an interesting date night, and I would highly recommend this to any couples who are foodies and looking for a fun evening. Because we are foodies, it was somewhat difficult finding a class that featured cuisine we weren't familiar or very experienced with. But we made a great choice, and our chef, Gary, was the best. He answered every stupid question, honored every request, and even stuck around afterwards, shaking hands and thanking each attendee, and allowing time for some culinary conversation. The Culinary Center offered a free glass of wine or a beer as part of the class, and allowed time to wander their store. And, of course, the wife found a few unique kitchen items that needed to come home with us!
Terry Chartier: We had a group of 7 ladies who attended the Mexican Authentic Tamale's cooking class. It was amazing. We received a paper cook book with all the recipes, got to make 6 tamales to take home, had a free token for a drink (margarita (delicious), beer), had chips, black bean, and pico de gallo appetizer, and got to have a full meal of 2 tamales and Mexican rice. We had a blast. Well worth the price. Their shop is amazing also. We will definitely be back.
Sgarcia2864: Great atmosphere and service.
bill westerhouse: Had a great time in the knife skills class. Learned proper technique and new skills. Chef Richard assured us that with a sharp knife and proper technique we could cut onions without tears. I cried, so I still have more practice to do! Check out my strawberry fan in the Pic. 4/27/2022 - took the Chinese take out class, Chef Jill was phenomenal.
Bonita Fisher: My friend & I had a fun Girls Night Out! Carribean Getaway! Truly enjoyed the Pain Killer & learned some new cooking tips!
Leslie: We had an incredible time at the Culinary Center of Kansas City. We greatly appreciated the expert team of people who helped our group prepare our meal and took great care of us. It was a great time with our group, great team building and amazing food.
austin andersen: Love the cooking classes

Brandon Stark: Positive:Professionalism,QualityWe had a great experience with our daughter’s birthday party. Each child had fun making pizza, decorating cupcakes, and eating both! We’ll be looking into taking some classes next!
Kate Kessel: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy daughter loves to attend class at Young Chefs Academy. I am thrilled that we came across this wonderful establishment and I recommend any parent to let your child attend a class. No matter how shy or outgoing your child is they will be welcomed with open arms.
Greg Glass: Fun place for kids to learn cooking skills.
Shoua Thao: The kids had a great time. The chef was very kind and thorough at explaining what was going on. She kept the kids entertained the entire time. It’s a great place to have a birthday party if you don’t want to stress about activities, food, and decorations.
Joel Terry: Great customer service by the owner! She went above and beyond expected. Can’t wait to go back.
Dona Leon: What a disappointment! Our first visit to a workshop was NOT what we were hoping for. The Gingerbread workshop was NOT worth the money.I called to sign my 8 year old son up for a Gingerbread making class. When I called the woman who helped me let me know that the adults attending the class also had to register, meaning that we would pay $50 per person, a total of $150 for the class for all 3 of us. She explained that we would each make our own Gingerbread house. We were very excited as I had heard good things about the school and we LOVE making gingerbread houses, so I was hoping that at that price we would be making a nice gingerbread houses. When we arrived for the class, we were not greeted. We waited in the lobby until it was time to begin and a young lady invited the kids to come in and put on aprons, and parents could “ watch and have a seat” , I was instantly confused as I had been told that parents would be participating—AND we had paid to participate. I explained to the girl that we had been told we were making houses too and she seemed confused- many other parents were doing the same, but there was one parent who dropped her son off and left? They did not have the space set up when we arrived and had to move tables and chairs to accommodate us.We were split up into 2 groups, the more experienced teacher worked with the other group. Our “teacher” was young and seemed new- she did not really explain to the kids what we were making, but we got started. We made gingerbread cookies from scratch and then each of us were given a gingerbread house kit- a paper plate with a few pieces for the house and minimal candy for decorating (the other group had access to much more candy decorating options, our table was not given the same options)- these houses were VERY TINY and smaller than most kits sold at the grocery store. For $50 per person I thought that we might make a house that was a bit fancier and more gourmet than I could make at home. Why would we pay $50 per person to make the grocery store gingerbread house?? There was no demo or instruction. What a major disappointment. I really feel that we were overcharged. I expected more.
Sebastien Pichoff: Great place for kids Birthday. Our daughter loved her 8th birthday party here.
Janalee Doerfler: I can't say enough good things about Young Chef Academy. The teachers are fantastic. The classes are so much fun for my daughter. The classes are educational and always to repeat at home. Highly recommend!

A Thyme For Everything: what do users think?
Farnoosh Manzoorie: I went to the store and I bought some stuff, ladies the work there are so sweet and welcoming. She was explaining to me about cooking class . 😍 Thank you
Victoria Urnise: Only go in there if you don’t mind being stared at and followed around the entire store :P
Tim John: Great store for any cooking need. Attended one of their cooking glasses. I definitely recommend one!!!
Lynnea I: This is such a fun kitchen store. They were really kind to my mom and me. They have excellent truffles, quick kitchen needs: for example, your dog ate your rubber spatula and you need something to flip pancakes with and want it in 10 minutes Thyme. Happened! I have specialty glasses from here and love to take a quick walk in to see what is new.
Karen J. Campbell: I went to Lee's Summit on Saturday to the Downtown Square shopping area to "get in the sprit of Christmas feeling". I walked the area and went into a few shops. I had been there many years ago and was just interested to see what they had.One of my favorite shops is A Thyme For Everything. When I entered the shop my eyes where drawn to a three piece set of large glass candlesticks holders. I fell in love with them.I approched the counter to ask how much they were and the sales person told me.The shop was busy with with customers doing shopping and it just had a good Christmas feeling.I purchased the candlestick holders and walked out of the shop with a very good Christmas feeling. I enjoy patronising Small Business and espically over holidays. It adds a warm fuzzy Holiday feeling to me.
Janet Long: Love Love Love this shop and the girls working it! I can always find something I've been looking for 😉
Skyler Davis: Their co-owner, Jennifer, was extremely rude. My girlfriend and I felt she was staring at us the whole time while we were inside. Then preceeded to make rude remarks about the way we live our life and eating choices. Coming from someone who works in customer service, her service was horrible. We also had 4 or 5 items ready to check out, but ended up leaving with nothing. Wayyyyy overpriced anyway. You can find most of their products cheaper at local health food stores.
Carl G: Owner very rude.
MikesYourMan: My wife and I enjoyed their "cast iron skillet" cooking class last week. The Electrified Cooks (Roxanne & Kathy) made everyone an awesome meal while educating & entertaining us along the way. Owners Jennifer & Marilyn were awesome hosts! My wife was impressed with the variety of items in their shop as well. Great place!
Nikola Tristani: Wife loved the chocolate box for a valentines gift. We are for sure about to book some classes too.
Pete Jensen: Ok, the Christopher Elbow chocolates & caramels are a wee bit expensive, however they are also some of the best treats you can find! Highly recommend are the Passionfruit Caramel, Strawberry Balsamic Carmel, Lavender Caramel, Vanilla Bean Carmel, oooo Bananas Foster Caramel... Definitely check out this top shelf candy, you will not regret your choices! As with the ice cream, the flavors are on point. Passionfruit is probably my absolute personal favorite!
Haley NotGivingMyLastName: The owner is super nice and they have all kinds of wonderful products
Maisy M: I went in today to buy savannah bee lotion. A product they have had for almost a year. The store was out so I asked if they could order more in. The lady said no because it doesn't sell. I offered to buy every one that she ordered in if she could order it for me. She still said no because the minimum she could order was a $250 order. For a third time I offered to buy them all from her regardless of price she still refused.
David Hunter: Very awesome Food!! My wife and I eat there at least weekly, the service and food quality are the same every time...Aces. Dave the owner is a real friendly guy trying to be a part of the Downtown Lee's Summit Community and doing a fine job. We hope to see Bout Thyme Deli do very well and stick around for a while.P.S Try the Cheeseburger Pizza! Amazing!
96Blue96: A fantastic little store with lots of ways to inspire you!
Amy Driver: This is one of the coolest shops in Lee's Summit. We also brought our company for a cooking class and it was wonderful! The food we made was delicious and it was fun for everyone. If you haven't been in to this place - you have to stop in and check out all the awesome items.
Beadery Destash: A great shop for all your kitchen needs! Lots of classes to chose from too!

Williams-Sonoma: what do users think?
Frank Campbell: Good selection and quality of goods.
Clean Car: Great selection and service.
Leah Hicks: Expensive but great place for kitchen and dining items. Great selection. Clean store. Friendly staff.
Scott Welsch: Can always find great gifts here!
John Behan: Pricey but always quality.
Lee Brown: The sales folks were wonderful and we found an item we had been looking for. Excellent visit for us.
S.M. M: It’s your standard Williams-Sonoma but the staff can be a bit overbearing here, unlike other locations where they let you enjoy your shopping experience
Gayla Huber: One of my favorite things in the fall. Shopping here now that it’s cooler weather and I want to cook again!
George Ramos: Kelly was phenomenal in helping me find the essentials I needed to cook the perfect steak greatly appreciated
Joyce Layman: I've always been a fan of Williams Sonoma until we ordered a hair-on-hide bench. The order was placed April 9th with an estimated delivery of early May. Ryder Last Mile was handling the delivery. Ryder sent an email on April 28th and the delivery was supposed to happen on May 2nd. We got a text on May 2nd that it needed to be rescheduled which we did for the 6th. We then received a call the morning of the 6th to let us know there was an issue with the delivery. I called Ryder back and the woman said there was a problem with their system but the bench was not lost.....a few minutes later she told me the bench was lost and hung up on me when I asked how urgently someone would be looking to find this. And so the customer service nightmare began.I called Williams Sonoma customer service and was told they couldn't do anything - I had to be the one to talk to Ryder so they connected me. A dock search was supposed to be initiated but a two weeks later, I found out NOTHING had been done. The next time I called Williams Sonoma to get an update, I pressed the extension for updates on orders scheduled to be delivered but the system said the order was already delivered. Seriously! The only way to get through to someone was to press an extension to place a new order. This time the rep told me she could order a new bench only to find out they are OUT OF STOCK (of course). The only option was to call Ryder again and this time a new rep said she would personally make sure the search was done and promised to call me back in three days. She didn't call so I left a VM on the number she gave me and nothing again. I contacted Williams Sonoma again expressing my frustration at the time I had to spend tracking an order down with their delivery service. The customer service rep kept me on the line and contacted Ryder who said they would do the search and would call. It's been a week and no phone call so I contacted Williams Sonoma again. The rep checked the system and told me I should have had an answer on a dock search 72 hours after it was initiated. She also confirmed the bench was not in stock and issued a refund. We've ordered bedroom and living room furniture from Arhaus and Seville in the last year and it was delivered as promised. Based on the month-long customer service nightmare experience with Williams Sonoma, we won't be making another purchase from the company. If you find something you like, good luck getting it!
Robert Gensler: Bought a Breville espresso machine. Found a great deal on one somewhere else and they matched the price with no pushback. Great service and fantastic staff. I love this store.I recommend to anyone that reads this that they go in and buy something to help keep them in business.
andy haun: The tip of my wife's $38(!) spatula melted when she was sauteeing vegetables, getting the little bits off the pan to add to her omelette. W-S refunded my money. I could have let it slide without a negative review had not the store manager told me 3 times that one cannot leave a spatula in the pan. This specific product is poorly designed & overpriced. Own that and save me the lecture.
alan bowers: 👍
Billy Ringer: What the corporate does to their people here is wrong and disgusting. I will never again shop here. Corporate America needs to learn to treat their employees with respect, and their pocket books need to suffer when they don't. It's the only thing that hurts them.
Sabrina K: Cool stuff but the prices are a little high. Found this cute mug though and the shopping / area was nice:
Laura S: Poor experience at this store…”managers” are inflexible and don’t care about their customers… very disappointed.
Elizabeth Przybylski: Wonderful customer service! They had the perfect advent calendar I have been looking for this year. Love the peppermint bark paws!
Jeff Williams: Friendly staff who is always happy to help. Good recommendations and the quality of the products sold are typically top notch. This location has been my go to WS location for years. Keep up the solid work!
Corinne Orvis: Excellent employees! Help every corner you go and not pushy
Jason Kruse: Very attentive, great service.
Hilary Noonan: The people who work in this store have been very helpful. I just wish it wasn't so far from where the old store was in my neighborhood!

I just gather whatever I have in the house and make delicious salads adding the strawberry balsamic vinegar, olive oil and salt.
