Sequence Climb: what do users think?
Gabrielle Stuart-Betzel: I absolutely love this climbing gym. The problems are always so much fun and the gym is clean and well kept. Everyone is so kind and friendly here. It is the best climbing gym in KC! :)
Lia G: I was in town for work Wednesday and have a tradition of finding local climbing gyms to visit. This might me the best I’ve visited in the country!I asked Megan at the front desk for suggestions on running routes nearby, and she pulled up a map outlining streets in the neighborhood with good views. When I was back and ready to climb I was amazed by the amount of boulder problems at this facility, so many fun and different sets to choose from with kilter and tension boards. It was late on the way out and I was looking for somewhere open to get carry out, and Megan was so helpful in finding a good restaurant close by.I was really blown away by this visit! The facility is beautiful and the employee so helpful and approachable.
Charles Coonce: Really superb climbing gym. Great facilities, intuitive knee-press sinks, hand care stations, you name it.Various styled setters who don’t sandbag and offer a lot of variety.Solid weights and cardio gym for the monthly people and warm ups, industry standard solid stuff.Extremely accessible but professional.Lovely staff and owner, this is the gym culture KC and the Midwest needs more of.If you’re local, you’d be foolish not to be monthly with a place that’s building a positive, climb-oriented culture.
Brett Mundinger: A real KC gem. Super welcoming space with a great ownership/staff, fantastic community, and accessibility for all levels. They’re especially great to beginners like myself who wanted to try out a new sport and got hooked. Routes are changed out frequently (no small task), and the gym is super clean and spacious. The climbing community there is very respectful to everyone, and it’s easy to ask people for tips on routes or technique when you’re stuck. Give it a try and take the beginner course to see if it’s for you! You won’t regret it.
RJ Boyle: was stopping over during a road trip from CO to the red and this place was great! big nice facility, nice gym, showers, etc. the staff were super friendly as well!
Jackie Skidmore: Such a vibrant climbing community. Really makes you feel at home. There’s challenges and variety to the routes. Lots of events, classes and groups. The people who work here/run the place are so kind and supportive. Sunlit urban atmosphere. The facility is top notch with plenty of free weights, and machines, not to mention it’s so spacious! Can’t say enough good things about this gym.
Kurtis Ackerman: Excellent boulder gym! Conveniently located near downtown KC - I walked there from the convention center without any trouble. Loved the layout of the facility; walls fit well in the space (doesn't feel crowded) and provide all of the various wall angles! Setting felt like it comfortably fits a 5.8-5.11 climber (I'm 5.7), with a mix of styles throughout the respective grades. Grades felt on par to typical gym climbing, and transitioned well thru the progression (I didn't notice a huge jump between beg/int/adv/exp/senei). Overall great day-pass session during my visit to KC!!
Isaac Wilson: Great staff great problems and great all around vibes
Branchydios: First time I went climbing and it was great! Got a free pass from a friend (if you have a membership you can get 1 pass a month to bring someone). If you fall you have very thick padding to land on. They have different levels of climbs so if you're new or experienced you'll have something to do! They have a gym attached that you can use as well. They let you rent shoes there if you don't have any. When you wanna relax for a bit They have a small lounge area that you can rest at.
Jon Auch: Sequence is one of the best gyms around. There are definitely gyms with taller walls but Sequence has the best high and areas for traversal. The staff is very friendly and parking is easy.
Stephanie Her: My boyfriend and I love going here to get a good work out by rock climbing. The workers here are friendly and informative. It feels like a safe environment to climb and it’s very clean and hip.
Dylan B: My wife and I recently purchased a membership after our friends highly recommended coming to climb at Sequence. We were hooked from the first time we climbed there and really enjoyed the unique climbing problems as well as the rest of the gym. Sequence offers bouldering, weight training and yoga. It’s a perfect place to train and would highly recommend!
Julia Nagy: Sequence is easily the best climbing gym in KC. The setting is always fun, challenging and unique. The atmosphere is welcoming. People there are friendly and open to conversation. It's not only a great place to climb, but I feel like I've gotten a community out of it too.
Delanie Honda: Probably the best gym I've visited! Came in for a day, wish it could be my home gym. Coming from indoor gyms in Central VA and recently St Louis. Setting is great - a good mix of dynamic moves, crimps, cave, slab, everything you could ask for in a bouldering gym. Didn't even miss the wall that was out because they were resetting - there was still plenty to do. The grades are pretty fair, if a little easier than I'm used to. Great gym and yoga space too. Very clean and modern space. Would come back if I'm passing through KC again.
Catherine Satterwhite: Fantastic gym. The owners pour their hearts and souls into this place, and it shows. The community is strong, welcoming, and open to all. The facility is spotless, the walls impressive, and the padding top notch. 100% worth it whether for the day or the long haul. We're thrilled to have this gym in Kansas City!
Katie Minion: Sequence is the best place to climb in KC. I was hooked from Day 1 for the ambiance alone (exposed brick? high ceilings? clean design? calming color palette? check check check check), but ultimately I stayed for the climbing. The setting at Sequence is consistent and reliable. When you climb a Pink Dot route, you know how hard it's going to be. That consistency is important when you're trying to see improvement over time.In addition to the bouldering area (which is ENORMOUS!), they have a workout room and a yoga studio. The workout room has high-quality Rogue equipment, so Sequence is a great place to do all of your training, climbing and otherwise. You'll also love Sequence because of the staff. The owners, Dara and Graham, and the workers are super friendly and helpful. They are always asking climbers for advice on how to make improvements, and they take those suggestions to heart.Stop by and check it out! You'll love it!
Kevin Tipton: The Best Bouldering Gym. Massive Facility. Large Workout Room. Small Yoga Room. Wonderful Staff. Amazing Owners. Relaxing Atmosphere. Nice Couches, tables, and benches. They have drinks and snacks available. This Gym has it all for any skill level. Great Prices. Wonderful Crash Pads. Lots of Rotation on their routes. Super clean walls. I can’t say enough about how amazing this Bouldering gym is, they simply are the best.
Michelle Cowles: Great chill space for a session, lots of variety. Really enjoyed our visit!
Andrew: This is by far my favourite climbing gym in Kansas City. The routes are creative and fun, staff is friendly, and the entire atmosphere is welcoming. Many many bonus points to Sequence for being socially conscious: they have recycling and compost bins available, they actively support the local crossroads community, have reusable towels to wipe down gym equipment, and even installed their own bike racks inside and outside so it’s easier to commute.
Annette Guo: After moving here in August and looking for a new place to climb, Sequence has become my Kansas City home 🙂.The owners (Dara and Graham) are awesome and friendly, and truly care about their customers and their experience here. The staff here is awesome, climbs are set well, and it has a great atmosphere! Couldn’t ask for more (except for some inverted crack climbs 😋)
Fallon Cardoza: After living in a van and traveling all over the US and parts of Canada, I can say with full certainty this is one of my absolute favorite gyms. The staff, the sets, the walls, the community, the local artists being sold in the lobby, the boards, everything about this gym is top notch. Every time I’m in Kansas City I make a point to stop by and tell everyone about it that I see. If you’re on the fence, hopefully this makes you want to check it out!

ROKC Climbing, Yoga, and Fitness Gym: what do users think?
Kat Boman: Fun place to climb. I love bringing my family here. Have had some issues with staff members though.
Arturo Navarro: Its not easy but its fun
Daniil Gerasimov: A lot of walls to climb as well as other exercise equipment, it was very fun and staff was nice and helpful.
Laura D: We went with friends, and we were are beginners. Staff was helpful, facility clean. We went on Saturday evening and not to crowded. Fun to try something new!
Caleb Roth: Great environment, took the top rope class with Emily and learned a lot
Ruthie Wu: I brought my friends here when they came to visit KC and we all had a blast. My favorite is definitely the auto belay paths which are super accessible for all skill sets and fun to descend with. I wish there were more auto belay paths and it’s smaller than some other ROKC locations while being similarly pricy, but definitely worth it for the experience.
Teddy Noel: Olathe location is better in some ways, but NKC is better in others.
Jason Swan: I’ve been climbing during the winters the last few years with some friends and have been impressed with the facilities and staff. Since early December we’ve been taking advantage of the various yoga classes that are offered, mainly at North Rokc. We’ve gravitated towards Cole’s Thursday and Saturday classes. He seems to really understand each students level and offers advice and adjustments where needed. He challenges you and adds in a dash of humor to boot. I’ve made steady progress and the flexibility and strength translate into all aspects of life.
Nathan P: The overall feel and vibe is fantastic, the repurpose of an old industrial building is really fantastic and rustic. The climbing was great and had a solid amount of challenge, I do think the only thing a little odd was not using the Yosemite decimal for the routes, besides that the routes felt accurately rated for what they were. The checkin process was great and the staff were friendly. Getting a belay check was simple enough but It did lack a buddy check to ensure that the harnesses were correctly put on and that all straps were double backed. It would also be nice if they had some indication that you were belay checked. They are overall minor things overall but I would definitely go back!
Anne Timmel: ROKC North is a great facility. The staff is awesome and it feels very welcoming, especially for a new climber coming on her own - I didn’t feel intimidated or excluded at all and it has quickly become a staple of my daily routine. I just tried my first yoga class (Yin Yoga with Cole at 7pm) and it was so relaxing and restorative. It felt like a luxury spa experience! The monthly membership is reasonable and the many autobelay options mean that you can come solo and spend as much or as little time as fits your schedule.
Kayleigh Applegate: Cole is the BEST yoga teacher I've ever had!
Tara Rozum: Such a great place for every age. I so enjoy the yoga class on Saturdays taught by Cole. He is knowledgeable, accepting and makes everyone feel like a rock star, even this grandma!? He is truly an asset as are the yoga classes offered here! Thank You ROKC.
John Frey: I've been an active climber at the North Rokc and their Underground facility for the last 2-3 years. The facilities at both locations are excellent as well as the staff. I started participating in the gyms yoga classes several days a weekback in the spring of 2022 and its been a life changer. They offer yoga classes 6 days a week and the instructors are excellent. I am especially grateful for Cole, who's the Thur, Sat and Sun afternoon instructor. His style of instruction really resonates with me and I'm always bummed when I am not able to make his classes. I highly recommend.
Kyle: Love this place so much. Favorite climbing gym in KC! The atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming that I never want to leave when I'm there. RoKC rocks!
Tim Regalia: Caters to children who are trying to get into climbing. Everyone has been nice to my 4.5 year old. I teach him the basics and the etiquette. His pass is free bc of his age. They offer harness and shoe rental for just under $9. This place is great.
Travel “Dave” Long: First time will be back total body workput!!
Amber Galbraith: We had such a good experience here! We came mid morning on a weekday, and practically had the place to ourselves. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The student rate + equipment rental was blessedly affordable. Our group had a great time and didn’t want to leave when it was over. We will absolutely be back!
Darren Toliver: Great place to spend the day if you're interested in rock climbing or just looking for something to do with the kids. A few more beginner routes in the bouldering section of the gym would be nice.
Erik Edmonds: Cute little gym with good routes, and very friendly staff!
Katie Wood: ROKC is wonderful! I am not a professional climber by any means, but anytime I am home for breaks I buy a punch pass and come at least once a week. The gym is clean, the staff and people are very friendly and helpful, and my favorite part is yoga with Cole! He is a wonderful yoga instructor and he soothed my anxieties about practicing in front of people. He somehow knows exactly what mantra I need that day and he makes sure to come around to each of us during class to ensure we are getting the most out of our stretches. He is a wonderful instructor and person and I so look forward to my visits to ROKC and classes with Cole!
Gabby Rivera Kroenke: ROKC North is great! The gym has a great mix of beginner and advanced routes, as well as a variety of fitness classes. Yoga with Cole, specifically, is fantastic. I've done yoga for years, and I've never felt more seen by an instructor. Cole does such a great job of reminding us of our value as humans while simultaneously providing personalized adjustments. I leave his classes feeling grateful and in tune with myself.

RoKC Underground Bouldering Gym: what do users think?
Caroline Berry: Definitely a must visit! It was fairly quiet on this visit and was perfect for newbie climbers.
Eden Elfrink: The experience was good until they started using my phone number for marketing without my permission. Will never climb here again.
frankie alexandra: So fun!
Etan: Love this place! A bit unnerving being so far underground, but this gym is great.
Michael Safarov: Mel was Super helpful on the phone today and guided me to the right location for my party with little ones.
Josh Munter: Fun routes and plenty of them to choose from! The fun they have attached is also above par for a weight lifting space within a climbing gym. If we lived in KC we would definitely become members!
Simon Lavigne: Very unique place to climb!
Andrew Stuehmer: Amazing gym! Awesome people!
Coco Gonzo: Nice place for bouldering!
Teddy Noel: No stuff for children, just pros. The other locations are great though.
Jackson Szasz: Cool place. Little hole in the wall. However, people will jump into your climbs midway through and cut people off of their climbs pretty consistently. Need a little more organization and structure.
David Rinaldi: Great workout and a lot of fun.
Stephen Jacoby: This was so fun! Looking for our local gym after relocating and think we’ve found it. Absolutely did not expect to be indoor climbing in a cave; so freaking cool!
D: Very easy to access with plenty of room to drive through and not have to worry about hitting anyone in the oncoming lane. Great experience with the staff also very helpful people!!!
Noah Triplett: The gym was not only awesome it was an experience. I had no idea an underground complex like these was even possible. The gym itself had probably my favorite route setting ever. Lots of dynamic stuff which lends to my strengths. If you have the chance check this place out.
Grant Culham: Cool cool cool location! Bouldering in their cave, built in a mall inside a man-made cave!Good setting, friendly staff. Old school vibe.
David Brown: Sweet gym, no real complaints. The literal hole in the ground location definitely adds to the experience; there's real rock righ there around the outside (not climable, but still cool).Grading was a little inconsistent and overall kinda soft (felt 1-3 grades softer than both outdoor and gym where Im from, but that seems kinda standard for bouldering gyms these days - it's just a subjective number anyway, so who really cares).Setting was quite good, and there's a full variety of wall angles. Generally felt like actual rock climbing, but still had a bit of compy stuff. A touch dirty and old-school, which speaks to my dirtbag soul. Met some friendly people and staff, overall a really fun sesh.
Colin M.: Nice staff, routes are okay. Interesting location.
chris thomas: My main climbing gym! Great for beginners and experts alike because they have climbing routes for all levels! Being underground adds a lot of character to the location as well. No top rope, but they have a cave/underhang area with a variety of routes.
Eric Longstreet: Didn't catch the name of the front desk guy but he was super helpful, walked us through everything, and my wife and I had a blast.Definitely coming back on a free evening.
eSpeediately: Great Gym!

Apex Climbing Gym: what do users think?
yung wheezy: Need to update that it is no longer a climbing gym. Went out of my way to come climb and it still shows up as a climbing gym on Google. That is no longer the case.
Mike O'Mara: Awesome climbing gym with friendly and helpful staff. Ninja Warrior gym is also fantastic l, my son loves it!
Lucy Gregory: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe've been here a few times and my son loves it. The front desk workers are always kind and helpful. We had younger cousins in from out of town last week and their ages ranged from 6-20. They all had a lot of fun for the 4+ hours we were there last weekend. My son is very into climbing and he says he loved the routes! Thank you!
Ethan Decker: Where to begin? The problems are boring and confusing. The holds are so dirty, half of them appear to be the same color. They are also quite loose. The gym has a great variety of angled walls, but is poorly utilized by whoever they have setting. The lighting is also abysmal, so you’ll have to use your cell phone light to figure out what color the holds are. The ability to top out is cool, but that’s about it. If you’re serious about bouldering indoors, ROKC is the undeniable champion.
Roman Chrischilles: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueWe held our end of the summer staff party here and everyone had a great time! The staff and owner were very kind and accommodating. They helped show us around the facility and taught us how to maneuver through the ninja course.
Stephanie Inglehart: I hate leaving a poor review, but this wasn’t a great visit. From looking at the website, I thought this would be a good place for kids and they offer an open gym- in my opinion, this is not for kids. Maybe if it were a lead class, but not for open gym. There is not much kids under 10 can do or reach. It is clearly made for adults. I wish they would make that more apparent. I also didn’t love having to pay to watch my own kids. Of course I’m there to watch and help them but why am I paying to do so?? At ROKC, which is amazing Btw, you don’t have to pay to help your kids and they have tons of great climbs for kids and super friendly staff. The front desk person here was extremely rude and not at all friendly. And actually accused me of not watching my children AS I WAS PAYING HER AND FILLING OUT WAIVERS. She had put their shoes on and my kids were literally behind me! I have reached out to management and am waiting to hear back. We stayed for about an hour and a half and by then all 6 kids were bored and frustrated because they couldn’t really use the ninja warrior area for anything and there’s only 4 climbs with harness clip ins. My kids love ninja warrior stuff normally so this was very disappointing. We will not be back.
Clayton K: Fun place to learn and get better. Lots of routes throughout the gym at various levels of difficulty.
Maria Johnson: I enjoyed my first experience here with my daughters it was cool, Blake was very helpful and patient with us! My first time rock climbing. We will be back!
Nikolai Humphrey: Take good, great staff and fun activities
Andrew Johns: Always look forward to coming to this place. The atmosphere and people make it special.
Zach Wilson: Had a ton of fun with my friends here! So much to do and all of it makes for a great workout!
Caitlin Kading: I adore Apex. A fun place to hang out. Interesting climbing problems. Helpful and supportive staff.
Michael Roberts: Fantastic climbing gym.
Patrick Hemmingsen: Great staff, challenging routes; all-around fun! Ninja warrior stuff too.
Madison Hammons: One of my family's favorite places. My 11 yo does ninja classes there, the kids I used to nanny also do ninja classes and they all love it. Good people that run the gym and they're always helpful and kind.
Kri Chay: One of best spots for Ninja Warrior training!
Amelia Hoedl: Not only is the staff friendly and helpful, but so are their members. We had tons of help from others who showed us how to use the ninja warrior course. We stayed longer than expected as there were so many options for fun!
Eric jr Cornett: It was super fun they had ninja worrior stuff and I had alot of fun
Mediocre Beard: Very great
Nick V: I love coming here with my daughter. We have been coming as often as we can for the past 3 years.
Joshua Williams: The staff is very friendly and helpful. My kids love climbing here and there are plenty of routes for everyone.

Monster Mountain: what do users think?
Cindy Daniels: Smaller than anticipated, ladies behind the desk didn't know the rules. Kids had a pretty good time tho.
Lynn Yingling: Employees were EXTREMELY patient with my daughter and I while instructing us how to use their equipment. The climbing walls are the best I've been to in KC. 10/10 would recommend.
Matthew B: I use to climb here all the time with my friend Chris. It's a lot of fun. Definitely something cook to do on a rainy day. The play area for the kids is one of the best in town.Only problem is the hours are a bit odd and limited.
Jordan Herrema: I've been to a solid number of climbing gyms at this point, and Monster Mountain has my favorite top rope walls BY FAR. I haven't seen nearly as many interesting features outside of lead climbs. The route setting itself is also top notch - all of my personal "top 5" routes have been here. Finally, the staff is superbly friendly and helpful, and the pricing is among the best you'll find. The only real downside is how near some of the walls are to the gymnastics area, which can get a bit crowded at times. But that one shortcoming is more than made up for by everything else.
Sarah Hinton: I have really enjoyed climbing here. It's the only place that is literally so friendly that everyone can show up without a climbing partner and have one within 5 minutes even if you don't know a soul. It's a beautiful thing. The facility is smaller than some, but more than makes up for that with its BRILLIANT route setting. So creative, so fun, and so challenging - it's really the best I've ever seen.
morgan snell: A lot of routes with top ropes provided. All you need is someone to belay you. Monday nights are half price for non members! It's fun. All the bouldering is pretty challenging, but a wide variety of top rope routes. Does the trick for a once a week climber
Nick H.: For climbers, great staff and well designed routes. It does share space with a gymnastics facility so it is often crowded.
Josh Lockrow: This place has a great community. I climbed here often on student night. The people are very helpful for people new to climbing. This is a hidden gem for sure. It is located at the back of Emerald City and it is just a few blocks North of Oak Park Mall. They have recently expanded their hours and that is awesome!
Chris Walter: Way cheaper than ibex and not too crowded.
Michael Camden: Love the staff and the regulars are like a big family. Super Gym :))

IBEX Climbing Gym: what do users think?
Heather Johnson: Great fun. Will definitely wear your kids out quick!
Kevin Ginther: Best and most affordable climbing gym in Kansas City! Always has a wide range of route difficulties and climbing styles. Has auto-belays, top rope climbing, lead climbing, and bouldering! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Andrew Stuehmer: The top rope options were amazing! The bouldering was a bit small but the routes were more technical so that definitely made up for it. The workers were great. Having gear for sale at the front desk is super convenient.
Nick Blackwell: Great service employees know about products and services they have good customer service/ support
Flower Girl: My grandson loves coming here to climb!
Maggie Stewart: Great climbing gym. I'm so glad we have this awesome experience around here.
chris mondragon: Would not recommend to a friend. Dude with cartoon mask upfront and glasses called me a square.
Dopey Finest: They made me feel discriminated by telling me to leave cause I forgot to put on my deodorant which sucks because ibex is my favorite climbing gym
Lauren Beecher: Good variety of routes, they have ~7-8 auto belaying, I'd guess 18+ top ropes, and 10+ lead climbing routes, and then bouldering upstairs. Super clean, loose chalk is not permitted so we had to start purchasing liquid chalk but love that we aren't fighting for routes. Our last gym in Austin, TX..there would be days we'd go and get maybe 3 routes in then give up bc it was so crowded...so this is refreshing for us!
Alex Duey: Super fun gym with a good value for the membership espesially if you have friends you like to have tag along. It doesnt matter if your new to climbing or not the staff is super friendly and the gym is set up nicely for to ease you into harder progressions. The community is friendly and I always look foward to going.
Serena Daugherty: What a great workout! This gym is clean and well maintained. The employees were very kind and great with our kids!
Game Master: Awesome gym, nice community!
Josh Mormino: Pros:-You can take your shirt off.-Cool features in the wall (cracks).-Cool handholds and footholds.-Decent setting.-Solid tall wall.Cons:-No loose chalk.-Lack of training equipment.-Bouldering area had poor lighting, and combined with the unusual color scheme, it was hard to determine where routes were.-Not clear if cracks, volumes, and aretes were on or off climbs.-The staff seemed slightly grumpy and were a little disagreeable.-I would come back on a special occasion. Not the best place to train, but if you're looking for some spicy lead/top rope then this is the place to go.
Gabe Davis: Super friendly staff that you can tell are passionate about climbing, and the gym itself is very clean and well kept
Joseph Crownover: Wish I had the time to get a monthly pass here. Instead I'll go occasionally to knock the climbing itch off.
Reed Kotake: The staff was SO friendly and helpful! She even took the time to give my son some tips on his first time at IBEX. We are definitely coming back!
Ashley Irwin: Day pass.Rentals.Kids.Parties.Summer camp.
Kimberly Smith: My first time here and first time climbing every. It was really great! The staff were amazing at answering all my questions and getting me started.
Amy Young: Our first visit is for my daughter's 14th bday. The kids are having a blast!!! The facility is clean and open. The staff is amazing!! And you can't beat the price for an ALL DAY PASS!!! You can go get a bite to eat and COME BACK!!!!
Tabi: This is a great place for a great climbing experience! Fun for the whole family! Try something new and check this place out! You probably drive right by it and never knew it was here. You have to bring the family or a big group of friends here. You will have fun and surprise yourself how far you can climb. Can you reach the top? If not give yourself a goal to come been and try again. Try this for a new workout. This is a great activity to take your teens to do this summer! Anytime of year this place is great fun! Great place for birthday parties. Why have the same old party, switch it up and do something new! This place is open 7 days a week. 10 am to 10am. We love the staff here too!
Anita Cordell, Realtor: IBex climbing gym in Blue Springs, Missouri is such a fun family activity for most ages. We decided to join the gym and had our first adventure this evening. What a blast!!!!!!!!! Highly recommend. I was pleasantly surprised to also see climbers older than me. What an inspiration. I have one word for you……… GO!

RoKC Olathe Climbing, Yoga, and Fitness Gym: what do users think?
A M: Great place to indoor rock climb and workout. Iced oat lattes from the coffee shop next door are delicious.
Joseph Winnicki: This place is great. Super welcoming energy and quick service to get you going in no time.First time so we did the waiver online and a quick orientation when we got there. They have a short route area and then the walls and party area. I can see the use of the short routes but when you aren't super confident and anxious they can be a bit much. If the party room is open I definitely suggest heading up there and trying those walls out. After a couple hours our arms started to give so we jumped on the treadmills for a quick mile before heading out. Pass gets you access to everything for the day and it's easy to get the money's worth.
Teddy Noel: NKC location is better in some ways, but Olathe is better in others.
Joe Storm: Such a fun first time adaptive climbing experience, got to nearly the top of the big wall, will be back if my family has time to take me
Jimbo Jones: Gym music is so loud you can’t think. Personal trainers take up 50% of gym space most of the time.Solid rock climbing when childrens parties aren’t being hosted
mike hawk: Incredibly pedantic top and lead rope belay test out. “It’s policy,” was said a lot as a way of explaining away nonsense issues and standards that they require. Then they expect you to be grateful to them for hassling you. Laughable
Nick Nick: Such a fun place! The kids love it. We wereIntroduced through a birthday party and while one kid was a part of the party, my other paid to climb in the main area. They both enjoyed it thoroughly and it’s a great place. Clean, friendly, and have heard wonderful things about the food.
Scott Valler: The gym is really nice, well maintained, huge, and has lots of climbing areas. They have bouldering, auto belay, lead, and top rope climbing. They also have a full weight room and teach yoga classes. Very nice place.
Jacob Stapleton: We drove from south KC MO just to find out the area most appropriate for our skill level was closed for a private party. I called beforehand to check hours etc and it wasn’t ever mentioned that half of the gym was closed to beginners and small children. I wish it would’ve been.
Elijah Miller: Friendly and helpful staff. You pay for what you get, so it's an awesome experience for a wide range of climbers.
Kaleb Setliff: Amazing place, go almost every weekend. If not to this location then another ROKC. The walls are decently high and let's you get your reps in. The bouldering underhang section is nice and the training upstairs have full sized kilter and tension board. Staff is super nice and helpful, would rate a 6 if I could.
tristan lasley: Solid routes, great environment, friendly staff, just Great all around. I recommend going here to all my friends. Plus the have a coffee shop, literally under the same roof💪🧗‍♂️
Asher: Staff here were really nice and helpful for a first-timer. The pizza at the attached restaurant is BOMB.
Elise C: Veteran climber and went to this location for the first time. The staff seemed friendly, but I was not allowed to use stopper knots while testing for belaying. I have been rock climbing all over the country and all the gyms I have been to will fail you for not using stopper knots. Stopper knots are a must on both ends of a climbing rope to prevent accidents. Figure 8s can come lose, especially with new ropes and failing to use a stopper knot as a delayer have lead to numerous rock climbing falls and deaths. I decided to leave and asked for a refund due to safety concerns. A manager called to defend them not allowing stopper knots. YIKES! I think calling to tell me I am wrong just made the situation worse. Won't be back to any of these gyms in town. I think they are setting up new climbers for failure and worried about these new climbers going to out door walls without using stopper knots at all and thinking it is ok to cut corners climbing. They should at least give veteran climbers a choice to use stopper knots there rather than banning them all together.
Jason Randall: Went for FightCRC's Climb For a Cure event. Had a blast watching my daughter climb thr various walls 💙💙💙
Rita: This was our first time and we had a lot of fun! Large facility! Plenty of equipment and areas to climb. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. A day pass for the two of us was $56.
Luke Meinhardt: It is nice for a birthday party. The staff is nice along with the other people who are at ROKC.
Nohemi Guzman: Clean and friendly
Neil Sickendick: Came in the evening with my 7yr old. Both basically first timers. Had an awesome two hours, definitely could have done more. Recommend! Will be back.
Matt Borders: Awesome place, great staff!
Jessie Cunningham: The perfect place for kids to get moving! The bar/restaurant is a huge bonus! They also have a full gym.
