Christmas in the Park: what do users think?
L Diamond: Christmas in the Park is a family tradition for us, although I think more and more people have started attending!Quick tips:-prepare to wait for an hour+ to get to the lights (use the bathroom prior, pack snacks, dress comfortably, have enough gas, etc.)-portapotties are available (without Christmas light lighting) along the route but can be displays!- donations are taken before you exit the display- be aware of traffic... no brights, turn of your lights off when going through the display.
Andrew Hill: Christmas In The Park is an exceptional Christmas light display that has been a holiday tradition for over 30 years. This beautiful drive-through display features over half a million twinkling lights and 200 animated displays, making it a perfect destination for families and friends to enjoy together during the holiday season. What's even better is that it's free to enter, and donations are accepted to help keep this beloved event going. The sheer number of lights and displays is awe-inspiring, and it's clear that the organizers put in a lot of effort to make it a memorable experience for everyone. It's a great way to get into the holiday spirit, and it's definitely worth braving the crowds to experience it firsthand. One thing to keep in mind is that Christmas In The Park can get extremely busy, so it's essential to plan accordingly and try to visit during less busy times if possible. Despite the crowds, it's still a must-visit destination during the holiday season.Overall, Christmas In The Park is an amazing event that should not be missed. If you're looking for a fun and festive way to celebrate the holidays with your loved ones, this is definitely an experience you won't forget.
Sherita Williams: Excellent display.
Alisha Seefeldt: Always a good time spectacular lights wonderful family environment
Heather Hankins: Absolutely stunning! And it just gets better year after year! Coming here has been a holiday to-do in our family for many years!
Michael Linhart: Great free drive thru with some great lights! You can donate to charity at the end of the drive. I plan to go next year too!!
Krishna Kumar Narayanan (hifikk): It is a nice lighting decoration for family to enjoy and build memories.
Baiju john: awesome experience and made it a family tradition every year
Jamie Bishop: Wonderful experience! The beginning is slow if you have never been before like me you are Kind-of confused don't worry it's amazing when you get to the big part.
Jason Mcfarland: Absolutely worth the visit
Luke Tovey: The lights are good … once you get there. Plan a good 2 hours of waiting in line in your car to get to the main display (unless you go really late?). Kudos to the people who put it together, I’m sure it takes a lot of planning and work, but personally I wouldn’t go and do it again as a tradition; just took way too long which tipped it over the edge to not enjoyable.
Andrew: Pretty cool Christmas lights display. Not sure if it was worth the hour and a half wait, but it's free and has a million lights....literally.
Jerry N: Great to take the kids to yearly. Always look forward to the new display each year. Sad they've done away with handing out candy at the end, kids still ask about that.
DTone Perkins: Awesome displays!
D Skurry 1: I’m 46yrs old and I have been all over the country. Took my 2 yr old son there and he loved it.! No doubt Dad was just as excited as he was.! This place is hands down the best place I have ever seen in my life.! The best things I liked were. It’s not a quick in and out.! It can take some time to drive all the way through.! Biggest structures In the Area.! Lots of BIG LIGHT.!!!! Moving lights.! There’s a spot you can stop. And there’s a skier that is all lights, and will ski down a slope and jump over your vehicle. Best thing about the event/display..? It’s 100% free..! Too many people today are charging $ to look at their lights.! Which really makes me sad.! How do I teach my son about the CHRISTMAS SPIRIT of giving to those less fortunate.! When there’s ppl that want $ to see their light show.! Oak grove is $25 a car.😱 definitely not even close to as good either.! You can not go wrong with taking the family here..!
Kourtney Brown: Super long line, waited over an hour before seeing lights and there weren't a huge display. Waste of time
Melissa Hall: My favorite light display
Matt Bishop: Love living here
Andrew Wong: Longview Lake from above kind of looks like a frog with small arms.
David Eaton: Great section ok kc metro
William Gilpin: Lots of great features in Jackson County...but the County government is a train wreck, and taxes are out of control.

Worlds Of Fun: what do users think?
Riley Lyons: Wow.... What a terrible amusement park. Cedar Fair really just takes your money and doesn't care if you have fun or if the rides are safe. Some of the rides are incrediblely rough and ride operators barley check safety belts and lap bars. My wife's seat belt wasn't checked on the timberwolf. A ride that killed someone in the 90's. Also the Mamba was so rough on the return it hurt my back. Bad enough I'm still dealing with pain almost two weeks later. This park has multiple world themes much like Epcot but a rinky dink version. Theming was sparse and only visual employees were just there to take money and push buttons. Several rides were down throughout the day. The food was chicken fingers and burgers at every vendor. Or you can pay 4x the regular price for panda Express or the parks version of Chipotle. Overall I'm never returning to this park.Price for entry: $65.00

Ryan Murphy: Not a great experience. 2023 WOF is not the same as 1990 WOF. Parking is a ridiculously $30. Half the rides were broken. The shops and games are expensive and seriously lacking. Basic carnival vibe. The bigger roller coasters were great but not enough of them due to 60% of rides being out of order. Don’t waste your money.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $31+ …More

Tara Tirrell: If you are a smoker? DON'T GO HERE !!!!!! You will end up spending more time walking out of the park and not having fun at all. The hours of operation got cut down along with half of their food vendors. No more turkey legs, nachos, or churros. Basically chicken strips or pizza are your choices. ☹️ Half of their rides and water features are closed as well. No more aqua obsticale course or Monsoon either. One good thing to note is they added a killer pot roast to the menu at sand dune diner.

Elena McNickle: I’ve lived in KC for 2 years and I’ve been to worlds of fun 6 times. It’s super fun every time!! However the lines are really long on weekends, I made it a point to always go on a week day when I had a chance because then I was able to ride pretty much everything in the park. The only gripe I would say I had is that EVERY SINGLE TIME I went, the Mamba was under maintenance for at least 2 hours. And the last time I went, I visited both Worlds and Oceans of fun on opening weekend, and more than half of the ride at Oceans of Fun were down for maintenance and it was very disappointing. But other than that, it was a great experience with great staff!
travis jones: Not allowing certain people to ride new Zambezi zinger coaster, that's unfair.
Chocolate Diamond: This is the place to be for family fun. This place is amazing. Been going since I was a kid now I go with my kids and my grandkids 😍
Sara: All of the staff were so friendly. The rides were great. My only complaint would be the bathrooms. They just straight up need bleached down...... And uh empty the feminine hygiene canisters🤢Visited on Weekend Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $31+ …More
Hailey Peterson: I wish it was open longer so we could ride alot moreVisited on Weekend Wait time 10–30 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $31+ …More
JD Rammer: Went to the park Saturday evening, 6/18/2023. This was supposed to be the Zinger season pass day. Heard from other sources pass holders were told to get there at 10:30 am, did, and were told the ride wasn't ready. We went over to the ride when we got there around 6:30 pm and were told there were no more rides available for the day. Huh?! We noticed it was running one train as well and dispatches were around 5 minutes. The park really blew the opening for this ride. On the other rides, operators took their time checking restraints which made wait times unnecessarily long. This is not a staffing issue, it's a laziness issue. The park looks great but the operations are pathetic. One side open on Voyager, one tower open on Detonator, slow dispatches, Sea Dragon down, Timber Wolf down, train down at 7:30.

Bierman's Christmas Tree Farm: what do users think?
Lauren Barash: Best place & family to get a tree from🎄
Megan Huffman: This is our second year buying from Biermans and we'll be back next year for sure! Excellent selection, lots of 10+ foot options and several different types of trees. Free hot chocolate and lots of tree supplies and Christmas decor too. All of the workers are kind and helpful
Christopher Herb: Kasey was amazing. He helped me pick out the perfect tree and also carried it and put it on my car for me!! I’ll always recommend Biermans!
Steven Rehmer: Great experience. Several fields to choose from. Some pre-cut trees up front. A train ride or sleigh ride. You can cut your own, or have someone do it for you. You can load your own, or someone will do it for you. An indoor shop to pay and buy additional Christmas tree related items.
Fantastical Clark: Staff was very welcoming and informative. We love our Scotch pine christmas tree for 2020. We purchased a precut, 6'5ft. tree for $65.00. We will be returning next year. Thank you!!!
Gabriel Diaz: I like this place. Amazing trees
Mathew Wert: 3rd year buying there. Always an easy, pleasant purchase and loading experience. Recommend!
Nicole Jeffers: This is our second year coming here for a tree. They're always super friendly, and with so many folks working they definitely have a smooth operation. Merry Christmas!!!
Lindsay: Best people and best place!!! Support local and get a tree 😍
Kami Fraunfelter: We love the trees and we love the folks that run this place! We have bought our tree here the past few years and will be buying from them for years to come. Trees are always healthy and beautiful.
Louie Ford: The wife and i always enjoy going there to pick out our 🌳. Everyone is always nice.
Monica S: Just got our first real Christmas tree here and they definitely made the process fast and easy. Very nice staff I recommend definitely
Allison White: We have been going to Bierman's for years and have been very happy with the service and the tree selection. Since I want an 11'-12' fir tree (which don't grow in Kansas) I call them in early November and when they get their delivery he sets aside 2 or 3 from which we choose. They are always willing to unwrapped and show me other trees if I want and the teenage boys heft it onto the car and tie it up for us. They do have cut-your-own pines as well. My only advice is go early as even though they have more trees every year they sell out quickly as demand is high.
Sheila Shipley: High priced, limited selection
Brittany Lingle: Extremely friendly and helpful!
brian castaneda: Nice looming trees for fair price
Phil Lopez: THIS PLACE IS PHENOMENAL
Caleb Reasons: We've been to Biermans for the last 3 years and we're always happy with the results! We came today (11/26/17) and were really bummed out at the selection and the price. Their selection was scant and the ones they had are grown on a hill, so every tree was crooked and will lean. The prices are another shock. Their scotch pines are easily 15-20% more than last year. As an add-on, they didn't have their homemade cookies, just packaged ones! Extras go down, prices go up. That's too bad. We're sad that we couldn't find a decent tree for a reasonable price. We WILL try again next year though.
Lauren Wilson: Gave it one star because zero stars is not a possible rating. Unfortunately, this establishment did not explain their guidelines for cutting down Christmas trees properly. They had one sign up front and 10 college aged boys around the front (talking, texting, etc) who did not assist in our tree hunting. We cut down a tree at the bottom of the hill in full sight of the workers up top and carried it up the hill without a single offer to help from any of the boys aforementioned, who presumably were hired for that exact purpose. Once we made the trek to the top, two workers instantly started shouting “nope” at us and actually yelled at the customer for cutting down the wrong tree. When I tried to explain how unclear the signs were and the overall lack of assistance, one worker (wearing a yellow beanie and a construction vest) actually preceded to get into my face and ask my family why we did not follow instructions. I responded that we had made a mistake, but that I did not appreciate his attitude. He informed me then that my tree would normally be $100 but “for us” was $130. The unfortunate thing was that we would’ve offered to pay extra as is because we admittedly did make a mistake. But this individual’s attitude and aggression, especially for a company that specializes in capitalizing on the Christmas Spirit, was the exact opposite of what we were expecting. His aggression and insults were not constructive and were shocking from an establishment that purports to embody Christmas and family. I would absolutely not recommend going to this farm, not even for the small selection, but for the people who will undoubtedly make rain on your experience.
Jim Ernst: Good trees can be hard to find if you are not extra, extra early. Nice folks but you pay a bit more to cut your own, more than you used to.
Jennifer Moore: The quaintest Xmas tree farm experience.

Winter Magic: what do users think?
Adelaida Colon: The lights are beautiful but the ride is pretty short for the price.
Sapayh Olar: Good
Chris Kelley: Just an awesome experience for the whole family!
Cristina Alfonso: They need more advertising
E Fulton: Best drive-through holiday display!
Jessica: Had some expectations because of the the price tag & "reservation" pretense. But it was not better than other Kansas City drive-thrus that are free. The music was off-putting to me, as I wasn't expecting euro dubstep christmas remixes as the synchronized playlist🙃 However, it was not bad by any means, my young children enjoyed it. And the lady at the entrance was very friendly.
Sandy Glasgow: Outstanding Christmas light extravaganza! The entire display was beautiful! The nativity was extremely creative and elegant with a stained glass appearance. We would love to see additional scenes with the nativity. The ribbon lighting was fascinating. The zoo animals were stunning with exquisite details. The jazz artwork in lights was gorgeous. This entire display was designed by gifted artists. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable experience with superb service.
Issis Jaquelin Lopez: Lights were so beautiful and customer service was just so nice, we loved it!
Sandra Hernandez: Came last day, worthy
Jerry G: An outstanding Holiday show of light and sound. The new location is perfect.
Breann Wisdom: We loved it so much we went through twice! So pretty. Turn to the radio station and watch the reindeer sing!
Zac Hunt: Insanely worth the wait
Stevie Kirk: It was really cool we had to loop around and do it again. Totally worth it. Only thing is maybe add some pre-historic creatures.
Ellen Gary: Fun and magical light show synchronized to music. Proceeds to worthy cause. First year at Cliff Drive. Would love to see more lighting highlighting the cliffs next year. Also perhaps an elevated Santa, sleigh and reindeer over the lake.
Christina Wangberg: We loved the KC specific lights; the Chiefs, Royals and skyline were “Wow!” We can’t wait to see how they expand the candy cane space to add more sweet treats. A great little scenic drive over a part of KC we had never been. Looking forward to coming back next year!
Ashley Zhang: I love this trip with the flashing beautiful lights! They really did a great job on decorating and designing. You will see “magic” if you follow their music instruction. I have my favorite part “Ho! Ho! Ho!”
Greg Jones: Enjoyed IMMENSLEY! Kids and adults both. Highly recommend.

Big Lots: what do users think?
Charlie Smith: Small store, but very nice selection of products!
Karen Hudson: I shop inside now! Great set up. Lots to choose from. Reasonable prices
Yessy Alvarez: Los muebles son bellisimos
Malinda Threadgill: I love big lots! I always find good deals beyond what I walked in the door for. They also have a good variety of pet supplies that let me have an option! I don't feel locked in to having to make a choice between one or two brands of anything.
emmanuel santillanes: This place is a hidden but worth it
Makayla Clawson: It does have a big lot but not enough business
Richard Buchli: Nice store and helpful people, but they have moved the aisles so close together that 2 carts can't pass...
Eric Sylvester: Dirty aisles, unstocked shelves. Good help though.
Sherry Jackson: I generally like going to Big lots every now and again to look for bargains. The store was a mess. As soon as you walked in the front door there were things blocking the isle way. I was really surprised. The customer service was great. Everyone said hello and asked if there was anything that they could assist me with. Upon leaving the store I received the same great customer service.
Shirley Keaton: I love to walk around and see different things
Tom: It was Xmas time and they were short staffed.
Diana England: Nice store
justin russell: Don't go with your wife you'll walk the whole store. Me I hang out in the recliner and Couch Section
Linda Perkins: Such great prices and lease programs.
Mikki Cassel: Love this place. They have great prices. I order online and pick up at store. I have no complaints.
mark neufeld: Just another Big Lots.
Esteban HernandezS: Great prices
will c: Good service and pricing
Maurice J: I think it's strange the lights are on when the store is closed. I know this location has been running on a skeleton crew for some time. Once I had to call the phone to get the one employee to come to the cash register. Seems like big lots is having a tough time.
Angela Wright: They still have remarkably good prices and a good selection. The reason I'm not giving it a five stars is because they expect you to pay for the plastic bags to take your stuff out so you got to carry it all out in your arms or you got to pay for the bags bags that are not reasonable and you just throw them away I thought that was rather ridiculous so I'm giving it a lower rating

Big Lots: what do users think?
Dawn Blankenship: Great customer service. I have had the same lady the last 2 visits there and she is always upbeat pleasant to talk to and so helpful! It employees like this that make you want to return to the store. I regret I keep forgetting her name and it's not on the receipt.
Jeremy Huffman: Went in couple of days ago to look at furniture after being approved for financing online spoke with the manager Ken although he was extremely friendly and helpful it seemed like he was discouraging us from moving forward with the financing although he had given us adequate advice on applying for a credit card
Angela: Store was very clean & organized. Staff is friendly & helpful, and they had everything in stock!
Richard Renfro: Small choice
Skip Gregory: Fun place to shop. Nice variety and good deals
Matthew Westra: Not really cheaper in price, but cheaper in quality of a lot of items. I was disappointed.
Karen German: Nicely set up. Friendly associates
C Jones: Employees are very friendly and helpful. I always find something to buy. They didn't have what I went for but still found other items to buy. They had some really nice planters. Just didn't need any!
Robert “Dotcom” Jackson: I had never been to a Big Lots store before visiting this location. I was impressed by the wide variety of things from furniture to dishes, storage containers, food, snacks, clothes, outdoor items for the house, etc. The prices are good, even less than Dollar stores on many items. The store is clean and well lit. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Michael DePriest Sr.: A lot of empty shelves. The rug selection is not as good as it used to be.
Kelsey Hampl: Went in the spring and they have an impressive outdoor furniture selection. Sad their artificial plants were so expensive.
Susan Barker: Always can find something that I like.
ANTIDOTE Bando: This is where i go to get essentials
michelle Bernard: Just not enough employees to assist
Jonathan Gehrt: Great
Michael Shelton: Sales help here were very patient. Did a good job. Even helped load it all up. Thank You.
Tammy Forte: Have not been here for cpl yrs. Got more furniture thn they use to.
Jennifer Donnici: Wow the customer service I just received from Chris when I called in about an item is a true rarity!! He was knowledgeable about the items you carry and knew you were out of stock. He even went the distance to tell me your next shipment!! I don’t write reviews but great employees deserve praise. YouJust made a customer for life and I will tell my friends!
Caezar L: Some good things
Sabrina Edwards: Always nice to me

Lee's Summit Magic Tree: what do users think?
Harold Boomer: It is no more
Brandi Lasure: Was beautiful. I'm so glad we came.
JD Chambers: It was my first time actually driving to the tree and seeing it up close. It's quite beautiful! A lot of folks just come, get out of their cars run up for a quick selfie or photo, and then leave. So parking is fairly easy and not too crowded. Lots of space around the tree for different groups to take photos without being in each other's way.
EX7mods: Always go every year. And it's near Christmas in the part too!
Mark Vanderpool: Always cool to see.
Jonathon Raby: So beautiful! I love it every time I go
Bornwild: Took my granddaughter...she made her wishes and we took a couple of pictures. I always admire this tree from the highway. Even prettier up close.
Lisa Jimenez: Beautiful. Cute place to take a few pics. Driveway and parking area is gravel though, so be careful walking since they're isn't much light.
Heather Hankins: Gorgeous! A spectacular place for holiday pictures.
Joshua Nash: I make a wish here every year. For peace on earth and goodwill to mankind
Jeff Gannon: Not quite sure what it's all about but we were told to come here after driving through the Longview Lights.

Matt Tessier: I hate to leave a three star review. It’s an impressive zoo, and we saw some cool things, but the ride situation is out of control. It seems like everything is a paid “add-on” once you get inside after having paid a high admission price. The train ride was probably 100 yards and the “tram ride” takes you like 150 ft, and after you pay for that, you find out it’s not round trip! Then the sky ride is extra money…then the carousel is extra money….then the boat ride is extra money…then feeding the stingrays is extra money. Felt extorted once inside. Very sad to leave such a review for my wife’s childhood zoo, because there are some good memories there, but the ride situation is unfortunate

Alexis Donnelly: First thing I noticed walking in this zoo was trash in the turtle pond. Was a bit unsettling. There was a lot more than I would have liked to see. Most animals looked unhappy. My biggest pet peeve was the straws they give you for the slushies. Someone in corporate really needs to know about that. The tiny straws are not appropriate for large slushies at all. The guy working the ski-lift could use an attitude change. Soley giving 4 stars based off of memories with family. Seriously though the straw thing was a visible problem for everyone who had one.
Jennifer Womack Jones: Friday Flamingle was a great adult event.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry $16–20 …More

Luis Leon: What a fun day at zoo with my baby boy and his classmates! School asked us to be there at 9:00 am and glad it was early. This is definitely a zoo to spend the whole day at! I was impressed with how clean it was despite how many children were visiting. There were some exhibits with a sign that mentioned some animals might not be in view but we were actually able to see everything (with the exception of the few that were off exhibit). There is a great variety of species and some cool experiences like the stingray touch area and aviaries. We went to AFRICA the boys special exhibit. They are alway excited for the lions, however it would be nice if they add a male lion.Lots of areas to cold off!*Be prepared to walk for parking. It fills up fast!

Waldo Greenhouse: what do users think?
Ashley Walter: I adore this place. Cool finds, great prices, and the ownership is pleasant and easy to talk to!
Holden Simpson: Glad to have this place a few blocks from me.
N S: Great experience with Cara at Waldo Greenhouse! Helped us get floral and herb planters set up to deliver to family! Did it all over text! So helpful, efficient, great customer service and the products were designed beautifully and healthy plants! Thanks Cara!
Angie Ramphal: Why You Should Make a Trip to Waldo GreenhouseWaldo Greenhouse carries a beautiful assortment of perennials such as begonias, petunias, geraniums, impatience, marigolds and so much more. They have gorgeous healthy hanging baskets that are vibrant in color. Their pot collection is varied in styles, colors, textures, and sizes. When you purchase a plant and a pot, they will pot it for you with quality soil at no charge. They also have thoughtfully put together pots with flowers already arranged in them for those who don’t have a yard or pot to place them in. If you aren’t an outdoorsy person, they also have a greenhouse to explore that is stocked with a wide array of houseplants for everyone’s liking. Waldo Greenhouse also carries perennials, herbs, veggies, bushes, trees, high quality soil, organic fertilizers, seeds, bulbs, and much more. I love that Cara and Craig are welcoming owners who make you feel at home while you’re pursuing their nursery. They are a small business that deserve and appreciate our support.
nancy mohr: This is my go-to for veggies and flowers, from cucumbers, to ground covers to lavender, and the staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly!
Jessica Azar: Cara & Craig are the BEST! I am always blown away by the quality of the plants and the fair prices they charge. Sometimes I just go and wonder around greenhouse when I’m needing a pick me up… works every time!
Courtney Roth: Love them!! Theyre so sweet and reasonably priced
Ebony Rivera: So I waited until the very last second to search for a live tree. A friend saw Waldo Greenhouse had some left so she sent me there. I got there and they were out for deliveries! I panicked and wrote them on Facebook and let me just tell you guys…. Customer service was A++++++!! The beautiful tree was delivered as scheduled to my mom WITH a small gift! They definitely have new customers for life!!
Jesse Hills: One of my favorite places. Greenhouse has wonderful options. Staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Great prices! Sometimes, there is a dog, too.
Amy Stock: I love having a top notch nursery in Waldo. Cara is very knowledgeable and friendly. Waldo Greenhouse adds so much life to that corner. I hope they there for years to come.
Mollie Richert: Came here for the first time in the spring for indoor plants - they have a wide variety for the space! And came back for my Christmas tree this year - consistent friendly service. Will definitely be my go to for my Christmas tree spot moving forward!
Leslie Niederschulte: I just adore the Waldo Greenhouse & the staff. Always helpful & knowledgeable. I have bought summer flowers, plants and holiday swag over the last year and they truly care about their plants!
Kelly McGranaghan: The gentleman who helped me was extremely kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend Waldo Greenhouse over hardware stores ANY day.
