Jayme Harwood: I placed an online order never having heard of this company before. I was super skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly I received my order! I am in love with this shirt! I'm a huge fan of the vintage/retro style clothing. Its one a one of a kind Arkansas Razorback ringer shirt. The only issue I did have was the print chipped after washing one time. I no longer see it on the website and I'm not one to send things back usually. I am hoping that it just adds to the character and vintage feel of the shirt. Still one of my absolute favorite shirts! Would 100% order again and would love to visit the store one day!
Victoria: I called in advance to put a shirt on hold. It was ready for me, and I was surprised they were willing to hold an in demand shirt. Employee at store was so helpful, put a movie on for my daughter, checked sizes for me.She even messaged the crown center store, which I had no idea about, and held another shirt there for me. Next day that shirt was ready for me.I placed an online order and received that stuff in 2 days. I love this store, and I love what they do for local causes.

Tyler Doehring: Great shop that combines vintage design with comfortable and quality materials. The fits and styles are thoughtful and encapsulate the spirit of Kansas City (the iconic Kansas City heart logo being their signature design). A great stop, especially on the plaza. The staff here are also delightful.
Crystal Blin: Love the designs hate the customer service. 18 days after I placed the order I was informed that one of the three shirts in my order was no longer available. They offered to give me a refund or replace it with a different shirt. I opted for the refund and asked them to ship the other two shirts. After another 6 days passed they refunded the shirt and are finally shipping the two in stock shirts. It has been 24 days and I still don't have my shirts in hand.
McKenna Grace: Fun stuff, but pretty expensive. Especially $30 for a baby onesie that can only be enjoyed for a short time.
Doug Roudybush: Shirts are very soft and comfortable to wear. Sizing is a different story. I ordered a large, but it is the same size as an XL. My advice is to order a size down.
Allison Carey: My boyfriend ordered me a shirt on Aug. 19th (KState shirt) that still has not been shipped (Aug 31). When he reached out to customer support with questions they completely disregarded his questions and said the order is getting ready to be shipped and they would keep him notified. The football season starts in 3 days and this the item from the college roadshow collection was ordered to wear to the games. So disappointed in the service and lack of communication. You would think they would be a little faster and more considerate considering it is $47 for a single t-shirt.

The quality is great (have had it since February and it washes/dries without issue at home) and feels like butter to put on. Would love to see a longer length version, but the black bamboo robe I bought is super versatile, comfortable, and packs well for travel (a luxury!). The owner was very helpful in-store and even asked feedback on some of the things I tried on for fit. Love supporting a business that supports our community.

For every purchase made they donate a pair of underwear to a shelter in need. They keep showing their quality and spirit through each and every year. (The owner, Hayley, is super duper genuine!) You get what you pay for and I never leave that place with anything but the feeling of graciousness.(A good friend of mine passed from cancer last year - she was also a good friend to the owner and other folks associated with the company. She had modeled for them and still shines on their website/branding. They shut down their store in honor of her during her funeral and plastered their windows with her photos. If that is not the epitome of good, I don't know what is).They have backyard music events. I have yet to join in on these but excited to attend when the weather warms up!!Visit their shop (or website)!! You will NOT be disappointed.I also live in their robes. Get one. Do it. MADI Apparel fit both objectives perfectly.On the former objective, as soon as MADI released their new bed sheets, recently, we knew we had to try them (especially after the quality that we had observed in their apparel). I don’t usually get excited by things like bed sheets, but they are AMAZING! I literally didn’t realize sheets could be this soft. As soon as we experienced a couple of nights on the first set of sheets, we ordered a second set! Now we’re talking about adding a third set to keep a solid rotation going! They've honestly been one of the greatest contributions to improved sleep quality that we've ever had.On the latter objective, what an amazing organization and “system” MADI has established. Not only that, but all the clothing is made and dyed here in Kansas City so I know the money I’m spending is going towards the local economy. Lastly, the clothing is so incredibly comfy. The green joggers are my favorite pants EVER. I also have a sleep set that I have to keep myself from wearing every single night. I love the new everyday shirts that can be casual or more upscale. I just honestly love this store! I’m so proud that Kansas City has something so unique, important, and valuable.

Rissa: The shop is cute and has a lot of cool items, I had been looking online for quite some time and finally went in person recently. It was during the week and the woman working was super unfriendly and standoffish. It made me uncomfortable. I saw on here someone said the weekend staff are nicer so if I go back I will go on a weekend.

Cat W: I always manage to spend a minimum of fifty dollars in here, which is a feat when you're a size 20-22 in a vintage shop--and it's rarely just accessories. They carry a good range of sizes in both genuine vintage and vintage-inspired clothing. Prices on the newer stuff can be a bit high, but it's understandable given they have to make a profit, and the pieces they carry are really good quality that fit well and look incredible, not cheap fast fashion. I spent $90 on a dress last time I was there and I'm not even mad about it. It's always possible to find plenty of good stuff on clearance or in the vintage racks for much lower price points, though.The staff are great, super helpful and kind. I believe it was the owner who even modified a choker for me when I stepped in to do some shopping before my vacation, right when they were closing and at no extra charge. Every part of the experience at this place makes you feel so special, from the clothes to the service and the gift paper they use to wrap the dresses. Any other second-hand store just leaves me wishing I'd gone to Donna's.
