Shayne “Papo” Reber: The absolute best cheese I have ever had in my life and I love it because they are local. You can truly tell that they put quality and love in everything they make. I love the pepper cheese and the cheese with the vegetables and every one of their assortment. I love to make grilled cheese sandwiches out of slices of their pepper cheese. And the texture and consistency of all of their Cheese's is evident proof that they know what they are doing.

Kathleen Isabell: Lovely little shop, proprietor very helpful. I found the selection a bit disappointing (no Gruyère, no goat cheese). He explained that the goat cheese he gets sells out as soon as he opens on Wednesday – people just short of fighting for it! Upon learning I live in KS, he offered his card and suggested I call first before driving over to get goat cheese.As for the Gruyère, I asked what he would recommend in its place, and he offered an intriguing smoked baby Swiss (pictured). It was a very nice, quite different cheese! Sweet and smoky, not firm like ripe Swiss.He also threw in an extra brick of Carolina Reaper cheese on the house as he was sorry he didn’t have two of three cheeses I’d come for. It’s Marwood brand, which is good, reliable cheese. Last year, the Marwood vendor became hard to track down via other delis I patronize, so my supply had dried up.I was leaning toward a rating of four stars, mostly because of what seemed a bit of a limited selection. But to be fair, it’s a small shop and a niche business for the little community there, and I greatly appreciate all the efforts to be helpful and to keep a new customer. He gets five stars for all that! A positive experience for this cheese gourmande.

Jamie Olson: Solid cheeses overall and a couple of truly exceptional ones. Aged cheddars seem to tend brought and sharp and less nutty/crystalline. Not my favorite, but good options. Really good mild smoked gouda, most are too smokey. Fantastic aged gouda from Beemster that I haven't seen elsewhere. Prices are pretty good for the quality but it would be nice to have more small portions.

Audrey Tinsdale: A few of my neighbors and I walked to Geo’s with our kids earlier this week. It happened to be a randomly beautiful day in February and a few of us were itching with cabin fever! We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely evening, picnic-style. Their charcuterie boards were tasty and the staff were super accommodating as my neighbors and I pretty much took over the outdoor seating area with our rugrats! We hope to make this a frequented warm-weather destination.

Anything from Geo’s Cheese will be a great local holiday gift idea for our friends & family along with a bottle of wine from Underdog Wine.
Joshua Aldape: Came in to check it out. They have this cheese mixed with the ghost pepper, it is good. Right amount of spice in it. There are several other cheeses to choose from as well. They do offer other items as well. Beef jerky was also very good. Overall this store makes you feel appreciated for doing business with them. It feels more like talking to a neighbor than just doing business.

Keller Daniel: Fantastic local store with speciality food items!If you're a foodie, looking for an off the wall/unique ingredient or just enjoy a specialty cheese (and food!) store, this is your place. I went in looking for one ingredient for dinner and left with a large bag of goodies! I was able to locate black garlic here which I couldn't find at any other specialty store in the city, they have an impressive selection of hard to find cheeses, along with an array of specialty and locally sourced food items. I was able to purchase some locally made small batch vanilla extract as well as some of their own branded olives. Can't wait to return to try more of what they have to offer! Their staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, too!

Wuji Fei: I like this place, sells lots of cheeses from all over the world. You can try out varies kinds using the toothpick they provided. Staff are friendly and helpful. I am still exploring cheeses so when I settle on some specific kinds, I will come back. It’s slightly more expensive than the cheeses you find at grocery stores but it’s understandable.
Leslie McCormack: We love putting together charcuterie trays when we entertain. Better Cheddar has a fantastic assortment of cheeses, crackers, nuts, olives, and spreads. We highly recommend a visit. All their cheeses can be tried so you can find the perfect pairing without guessing. The staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable.
Patrick McCormack: This place is incredible! If you love cheese it is a must. Their selection and variety of cheeses from around the world is awesome. We went to find something for a cheese and meat platter we were having that evening. We sampled many great cheese and brought home quite a variety. We were able to choose several spectacular Bleu cheeses a nice selection of goat and sheep both hard and soft. They had section for washed rind cheese and my son who enjoys those picked a very good one. They also had some nice meats in their deli counter and the non- cheese items were interesting and very unique. If you like your cheese this is the place.

Jenna Laine: Darryl! I can’t say enough good things about how nice this associate was. I was looking for the ever so popular mandarin chicken, hash browns, Greek cheese pie.. all sold out. My fault for coming so late in the day but he and the others were so helpful even at the check out. I even bought four of the Jalapeño Limeade juices and anxiously awaiting to try.
Randall Hearne: Store selection was as expected for TJ's and we found what we were looking for.The people in the store, a lot of the customers, seemed to be overwhelmed and confused at what they were seeing on the shelves as they were just kind of standing there in front of sections and not really moving.Just taking up space. ( I stupidly assumed when I called it was new for fall but apparently they started carrying this summer)Anyway looked, couldn't find, one worker said look again by eggs, they could be gone. Went back, still didn't see. I saw two employees sitting behind wine counter and when over and asked if they knew why they were out. A female worker literally ran over and yelled at me for disturbing training, then proceeded to act like I was an idiot for not knowing the pumpkin season was over. I left my cart of groceries and headed back 3 hours with an empty cooler. Cross them off my shopping places and Whole Food, Hy-Vee, etc where they talk to me as a valued customer.

Dining space is a little on the limited space, especially if you have a group of more than 4 but if you're willing to adapt (and keep that in mind) then you should be okay; that said, the smaller size of the dining area helps to maintain a quaint atmosphere.

I also cant think of a sandwich shop is LS that isnt some big corporate company and they dont hold a candle to the delicious artisan sammies they offer here. It's definitely worth the trip downtown.

I'm also thrilled they have a decent selection of non-alcoholic "liquor" and wine options.The exposed brick walls and touches of lumber make the aesthetic a perfect complement to your time spent living/working/playing in the Crossroads. BUT, let's be honest here, my favorite part of this ultra urban establishment is the semi-secret taxidermy sprinkled throughout.

Camber McDonald: Best charcuterie in the city, no exaggeration - I have tried many others and keep coming back to The Pairing. Also, very friendly and knowledgeable staff - I started out coming to drink their single beer options and now I go for their vast wine selection, all because their staff took the time to educate me and start me out right. The owner is great, very community oriented, treats employees and customers as if they were family. Try a wine flight, enjoy some live music, and dig into a charcuterie board (the vegan one is bomb also!)
