Jake Orth: Absolutely the BEST made ready meal service I have ever tried. Excellent food- I've never had a bad meal, QUALITY people and customer service. Literally some of the nicest people I have ever talked to. Food is delivered to your door, packed neatly and kept cold in refrigerated bags. Always fresh food, plenty of variety. I have been ordering from them to aid my weight loss journey and they list all of the calorie content/macros for each meal. Could not ask for anything more. Keep doing what you guys are doing, you're killin' it.

Caroline McKnight: I was given a ChefKC gift card to use while my husband was sick. It was such a thoughtful gesture, but we never had the opportunity to use it before he died. I decided to use it when our family gathered the night before his memorial celebration. Chef made it so easy! I ordered the bulk of the meal, provided a few sides myself, and Chef volunteered to add dessert gratis. The portions were more than ample, beautifully packaged, and absolutely delicious. A restaurant meal of this caliber would have cost at least twice as much. Days later, I cannot bear to part with the beautiful sirloin leftovers, so I am sharing with neighbors. I will be looking for another opportunity to entertain this way again, and encourage others to do the same.

Joy Bates Boyle: Steven arrived early for our Father's Day celebration, which we appreciated. He was calm, friendly and upbeat throughout the evening, all while preparing and expertly serving an absolutely delicious dinner in a small kitchen without a lot of ventilation. The bacon-wrapped shrimp and charcuterie board were a huge hit and so tasty. The salad was nicely dressed and our steaks, potatoes and veggies were perfectly done. The creme brulee was out of this world! This evening was a long time in the planning and Chef Kansas City was patient and responsive throughout. We absolutely would recommend Chef Kansas City!

Elliot Olson: Dutzel’s Catering did an AMAZING JOB at our wedding in March of 2022! We were scrambling to find a reliable caterer with delicious food who could provide vegan options. Our wedding planner recommended Dutzel’s, and it was one of my favorite parts of our day!At our tasting, not only was I blown away by how delicious the food was, I was also in awe of KT. KT is so organized, helpful, funny, kind, and passionate about what they do. Every question I asked was met with a smile and enthusiasm and a perfect answer.KT did a month out call with me and it was amazing to get to walk through the food for the evening, plan exactly what I wanted the tables and buffet to look like, and know that KT and the Dutzel’s team has our back and would make our event perfect.On the day of the event, the Dutzel’s team did so amazing. I have heard from multiple guests that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Several people asked me if there was a restaurant where they could go have more! The corn was a HUGE hit and I am so excited to have a little left over. KT personally made my husband and I huge plates of food to eat during cocktail hour, and I believe that it was because of KT that I didn’t feel too drunk by the end of the evening because they kept me fed!We did a late night tater tot snack, and the snack was perfectly hot and crispy, and a huge hit. I only wish I had eaten more myself!I am actively searching my brain for more events I can host so I can eat Dutzel’s food more and get to hang out with KT again. DEFINITELY choose them if you want to have a wedding or event where guests talk about your food for weeks and months to come!
Wyatt Rasmussen: Our wedding was catered by Dutzel's and everything was delicious. They were very professional since our first contact with them. During the tasting, we were allowed to try different appetizers, entrees, and dessert bars and ultimately decide which ones we wanted to go with for our big day. KT was a huge help in making sure everything was to our liking in the process of planning by answering any questions we had and working with us as we got closer to the day. Jeff was there on our day to serve and make sure everything went perfectly. In the end, we were able to donate leftovers to the local fire house (not that there was much left!). Overall, we loved having Dutzel's cater our wedding and would highly recommend to others!
Rachael Redler: Wonderful! The food was delicious and beautifully displayed. They offer compostable plates and forks, etc, too! It was all a huge hit with our event guests. Reasonably priced, excellent to work with, and outstanding product.
Chad Bruton: Jeff, KT, and the rest of the Dutzel team did a great job catering our wedding reception. We hosted a cocktail styled reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres. The food was delicious, beautifully presented in buffet style, and plentiful. The team made sure that our table was always full and our guests did not go away hungry! They were awesome to work with and selected items that met our preferences and budget while also capturing the elevated taste profile we wanted! They also assisted with our linen's for the event which was considerably more cost effective and less hassle than using other linen vendors. Additionally, Dutzel catering is a gay-ally vendors which was important to us as a couple. I highly recommend Dutzel Catering!

My agency used them for a gala we had back in October. The tasting was by far the best one I have been too, and some how— the food ended up being even better at our actual event!

We got so many compliments from our guests about the appetizer selections and the dinner as a whole. We had an intimate wedding of 45 people and there was more than enough food to go around for everyone to enjoy. The process of booking a food vendor in 2021 was insane — as a bride I was having trouble getting places to respond or meet with me. But Katie at Dutzel’s answered me quickly and efficiently after my inquiry and continued to provide that level of excellent service throughout the entire process. It was wonderful to work with her, and even more so to have her at the wedding for a full circle moment! We are forever grateful to Katie and the Dutzel’s team and highly recommend them for your wedding & event needs!
A: I can't give a higher review for KT, Nick, Shirley, Skye, and the entire team at Dutzel's Catering! Our nonprofit has had two events with them so far, and the prices are reasonable, and the food is next-level amazing!! KT is extremely detail-oriented and hands-on, and they work hard to make sure that each menu is perfect for the occasion. Plus, everyone is very professional and nice. We just had an event with them last week, which is an annual event for our organization. Everyone agreed it was the best food we've ever had for that event! The event in September had a Tex-Mex theme, and not only was the food amazing, but the aesthetic and the small details put it over the top. Our oven broke unexpectedly, but they rolled with it and were very graceful under pressure and still pulled everything off beautifully. Again, can't give a higher review!

She always went out of her way to make things happen for us and always did things in a timely fashion.We had a full spread for appetizers and dinner. All of our guests raved about the food, especially the loaded mashed potatoes and the Buffalo tortellini! I was a big fan of the herbed Chicken and had lots of compliments on the lemon pepper salmon.I would definitely recommend having Dutzel’s cater your wedding. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding!!

After talking with their team, we knew they would be a great asset to our wedding. We were able to rent a few additional items to round out our place settings and it was so convenient to know that this was all being taken care of by one vendor. Mary Jean Billingsley: I was looking for a caterer for my son's wedding, found Dutzel's Catering on line and talked with Katie McCalla. She invited me to a group tasting that cost $!5 per person and the fee went toward the contract if we chose to hire them. The tasting was a buffet in a similar set up we wanted for the wedding. The food was delicious. The bride and groom chose the menu and we committed to a contract that day. Katie was especially helpful with answering my many questions and keeping in close contact up through the event. She ensured at every step that we were getting the meal we expected. Many guests complimented us on the food and asked for the Dutzel's contact information. I recommend Dutzel's highly for their delicious food and excellent service at my son's wedding. I would hire them again for other events!

Kelsey Carpenter: We discovered Dutzel’s through the KCPWG wedding convention. We had a tasting with Dutzel’s (highly recommend doing a tasting!) and we tried their buffalo tortellini, pasta, and BBQ, and immediately knew they had to be our catering vendor! :-) Everything we tried was delicious, but the buffalo tortellini was the best!Katie, with Dutzel’s, was highly communicative, helpful, and kind! Our final vendor meeting with her was so smooth! We were very impressed with the level of service and professionalism they provided to us and our guests during the wedding! Amida Shabani: They catered my wedding last April. They are very professional and did a great job. I would use them again in the future. My reception ran about an hour late and I didn’t get any complaints about the food being cold or anything wrong. Thanh Lam: I wish I could give you guys 0 stars. Very unprofessional and ended on a unacceptable note with a cancellation due to construction. They kept rescheduling and cancelled our tasting. They wasted a month of our time. Meanwhile my wedding is coming up soon. Be careful with this specific caterer. We'll be taking our business to Brancato's.
Amy Ramses: Updated 11/10/21 cant wait to use them again soon.Any occasion and any type of food. You want basic grilled chicken and salmon they can do amazing, but we asked for a special menu... Caribbean and Gluten-free with a couple specialized meals for our guests with special diets.FAB...so good we are getting the same meal again for our holidays. Try the mango coleslaw it's like sunshine in a bite, and the tropical meatballs are a guest favorite. Everything was fabulous and the guys worked with us to ensure a great menu. I can say they were less money than two places we called and having had a tasting with another... this food was far better and they went the extra mile for Gluten-free that no other caterer was able to do. We are using them again.

India McLucas: Hill House catered the repast for a funeral I attended this weekend, and they were phenomenal! We all have our day where we find ourselves sitting on the front row, celebrating the life of a loved one. It’s a task no one wants to do. But nothing makes me feel better about paying my respects, than sitting down to a soulful meal that was made with love. The feast consisted of fried catfish, fried chicken, brisket, macaroni & cheese, greens, cornbread, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, salad, and an assortment of breads. Everything and I mean EVERY THANG was seasoned to perfection. I couldn’t even partake in the conversation at the table, because I was about the business of partaking in my plate! And even though I wanted seconds, I saw the peace cobbler and ice cream on the dessert table and I had to have it. The food was so good I had to know who was responsible. I was then greeted by a warm embrace from the owner! I know we are in a pandemic, but I had to lay hands on this woman for the hearty blessing I had received! Thank you Hill House Catering for providing your services! We could taste the love! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

University of Kansas Make the Magic: We worked with KC Catering for our fundraising gala this past weekend and they were nothing short of amazing. We heard nothing but great things about the food and the staff was almost unnoticeable, so quiet and fast with set-up and tear down! Chris was incredibly flexible and easy to work with, we will certainly be using them down the road!

They accommodated the needs of our gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and dairy free students and staff and there were so many compliments. Highly recommend the Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and the Santa Fe Chicken Salad. I also loved how professional they were and how clearly they communicated. As the host of a large event, it was a relief to turn this portion of the day over to them and not have any worries from start to finish!
