Regan Smith: Highly recommend Beyond the Dog if you are looking for dog training! We recently adopted a dog found on the streets who had a murky history and some resource guarding issues we weren't aware of when we brought him home. We have another dog that we were concerned about integrating him with, which is why we reached out to Beyond the Dog. We researched several places but loved the All Inclusive Program that BTD offered. Though more expensive than your average training course, you get so much more than anywhere else had to offer. My husband and I are super busy, so it was so worth having someone put in the time with the boys and then show us what we need to do to develop and maintain their newly learned behaviors. From the very beginning, it was obvious that they take their work very seriously. During the research phase, I spoke with Sean, the owner, twice, about my concerns and wishes. He was honest about what was possible and how they operate. Communicating with Allison, the scheduling coordinator, was great, she was so prompt and nice! On the first day of training, we had 2 trainers and Dr. Ally, a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst come to our home to assess the boys. And of course, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Erin, our primary trainer (and Brook who helped)! She took such good care of our boys and made some amazing progress with our new pup. Our dogs clearly loved her and I could tell she cared about them as well. Even more so, she was so incredibly patient with my anxious dog mom questions and emails. There is still a long road of learning for our boys, but we are in so much of a better place to handle it because of Beyond the Dog. I have already recommended them to a friend and will return for any training needs in the future.

Sandi C: The trainers at Beyond The Dog are great. Erin worked with our two energetic, joyful pups and the difference in their behavior has been amazing. Daily lessons with the dogs and a weekly lesson with us resulted in much better behavior from them and positive techniques for us to curb negative behaviors. Jody Jones: Hands down, this training was worth every dime! We rescued Gary (German Shepard mix) in August and knew he would be a work in progress. He was incredibly scared of people and would spend most of his days hiding in his safe spot in the house. He was difficult to walk for several reasons...he was unruly and rowdy with me, yet wouldn't walk further than 2 houses with my husband. Within 2 days, Tiffany (our awesome trainer) had him walking around the block with my husband. We took our boy somewhere else for a weekend trip because deogi was fully booked, so always call asap especially during busy times like spring break, and when we picked him up from this other place he was an emotional wreck. When we pick him up from deogi he is normal and just happy to see us. The grooming is great and all the prices are fair.

Dogs are given a raised bed and allowed individual playtime in the yard,. Prices seem reasonable compared to others in the area. Our 3 dog/puppies went to Chris many years ago for training and he basically shaped them into the amazing dogs they became. 2 Rottweilers and 1 cane corso. We found Chris ( the dog whisperer- he truly is) from a dear friend of ours who has 2 very well trained Akita's (trained by Chris). After Chris trained our puppies, of course I learned all about the classes, as well. My dogs have so much respect and LOVE CHRIS. Over the years, I never forgot Chris' training. We moved to Colorado with kids and dogs in tow. Several years later we moved back to KC and one of my Rotties had some issues. I called Chris and he visited with me for an hour. He suggested that I bring her in for a couple classes. The classes went amazing! I swear my dog remembered Chris after all of these years! When I went to pay for the classes, Chris looked at me and said I AM NOT TAKING YOUR MONEY! I JUST WANT YOUR DOG TO BE GOOD FOR YOU! Who does that? CHRIS, THE DOG WHISPERER DOES! I couldn't believe it! He was so busy! His schedule was full, his kennels were full BC it was summer travel season and he did this for us! DEOGI ALSO HAS THE WORLDS BEST KENNELS! We had just moved back and were house hunting so my dog needed a place to stay! She had NEVER BEEN KENNELED! Melissa the amazing Mgr with the worlds best personality totally took care of us. She put my mind at ease, showing me the huge indoor/outdoor kennel runs. They were all so clean and beautiful. She, too loved on all of the pets. I watched 2 dogs come in. She called them by name and played with their ears. I knew my dog would be ok. My dog had to stay there for 30 days so of course I called every so often. Melissa was always so sweet. I also had to call and add on a few days right over the 4th of July. Deogi was such a blessing during all of the chaos! When it was time to pick up my fur child, I was sooo excited! She was so excited to see me but she circled back to love on Chris and Melissa! She is not a loving dog so this says A LOT! She also came out weighing the same as her chubby self going in! Deogi made special care to give her my loving food toppers at every meal BC she is spoiled and her hip vitamins BC she is getting old. My dog loved it there. How do I know? 2 reasons...she smiles when she is happy. I peaked in at her and she was smiling. More importantly I can see it in her eyes that she had been taken great care of, the kind of care that had love in it. I know my dog and I would have known otherwise. Maybe not in 5 days or even a few more, but one month for sure! Chris and Melissa, Deogi Pointe, WOW, the love you have for animals is like no other! Your facility is the cleanest, most perfectly ran, top notch place ever! I trusted you with one of my most precious blessings and I owe you forever for treating her like your own! MUCH LOVE TO DEOGI POINTE!

Tammy Travis: First experience with this pet staying here. Love the fact they have indoor/outdoor runs. Wasn't thrilled over the grooming she got as she was soaking wet when we picked her up but other than that a good experience.

You can see they love dogs!The kennel itself is very well equipped to keep even the pickiest pup happy.

Tina Roth: They provided excellent care for my boy,that doesn't like humans.Chris agreed on boarding him, even though he knew that Bear doesn't like humans.I was shown a video of my boy playing happily in the yard with Chris.This is a huge thing for my boy.It is very difficult to find a place to board a dog that doesn't like humans, I haven't taken a vacation in a year but I now know Bear is in good heands when I go on vacation.

They also seemed scared and anxious when I picked them up and were doing everything they could to get out of that place. When I say my dogs were soaked in pee, they were SOAKED. Never again.
