They have over a thousand members and are a great Club, which welcomes men AND women.

The Builders' Association | Education and Training Center: what do users think?
Harry Lim: Great place for construction training.
Gale Graham: I got and continue to get training for my career
Josep Baxter: Nice
Jodi Howell: Great fieldtrip for scouts
Ezriyah SCOTT: This place will change your life from a job to a Career it’s worth all your time.
Shane Poston: Good place for training
shawn vance: Great school because Ironworkers are the Best thats why!!! We work in extremely dangerous situations where anything at any given moment could go wrong especially without proper training COVID or NO COVID we have to constantly stay educated through refreshers by our great instructors who do truly care about our safety. Knowing what I know we always have a choice wether we do or not wanna do anything we think might be unsafe. So considering what we do and risks we take daily in our trade our training and schooling is always first and will never be allowed to be put on a back burner even over a cold pandemic, the risks that are at stake if we were to stop our ongoing educational training and safety training is way higher than anything else, so before you judge throw a harness and some bolt bags on and come stand on the iron with us for a day and you'll understand why we would choose to continue classes and training.
liv r.: Critical:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThey stayed open with a positive covid case, nor do they require masks in large settings. They did not cancel school on the worst day of the year even when NKC School District has closed. They truly do not care about the safety of their own students. Terrible facility.
Mike Cherry: Great teachers
Tron Turner: Good Place!
M. Eric Hovey: A well and needed establishment that helps to train apprentices with instruction for their particular UNION trade. Also, gives the opportunity for journeymen to enhance their abilities and keep current with ever changing aspects of building. A much needed service is provided which certainly helps in the fact that some of the BEST CRAFTSMANSHIP IS RIGHT HERE IN THE KANSAS CITY AREA. CRAFTSMEN FROM THIS AREA ARE LOOKED UP TO BECAUSE OF THESE ABILITIES WHICH ARE DERIVED THROUGH PROPER TRAINING!IT IS A GREAT THING

Woodcraft of Kansas City: what do users think?
C McLoud: Love going and getting ideas.
Scott Coble: I was looking for some Olivewood for a project and found it here. Lots of exotic materials for small projects can be found here. The store was very neat and tidy.
Joshua Brackenbury: I've been shopping here for my wood working supplies for over 20 years. The customer service is now horrible.
Ray Kolman: I have been shopping at the Lenexa, KS location for years. In the last few months I have purchased several thousand dollars with a wonderful young lady named Justice, the store manager. Apparently she is no longer with the company, and things have fallen apart. The new store manager neglected to place an order that I had payed for a month ago, and told me I would just have to wait an extra two weeks. The day to receive that item has come and gone, and I’ve not so much as received a phone call. He told me they had another item in stock, that I let him know I was on my way to pick up. I got there and the salesman told me they had sold out earlier in the day. He hadn’t even bothered to check before I made the trip. With Justice no longer keeping that place running smoothly, I’ll be getting a refund today on my ordered Sawstop part, and taking my business to the Rockler Store!
Joseph Killeen: Woodcraft was excellent! I was looking for a stick of walnut for a woodworking project and had a difficult time with some of the DIY and lumber yards in the area, but received excellent phone service when I called to find out if they had what I needed. The customer service person who answered the phone began to rattle off an extensive inventory of wood species that were available in store and I drove straight there. When I arrived the employee on the floor gave me a comfortable amount of time to shop for myself before asking if I needed any help, then he rang me up and the price was better than I expected! Highly recommend this store for their service and prices especially!
randel robbins: These people are great! Very helpful and a great selection. I bought Kaizen Foam for custom tool organization there. I'm super glad to have a place in town to get it.
Justus Cole: Great group of people
Andy Weber: Customer service is very lacking. They messed up my SawStop order and didn’t even enter my contact info correctly into their system - on a $2,700 order! On multiple occasions, they seemed confused about whether I even had an order and had poor communication. No one seemed capable or willing to fix the issue. When the order came, they hadn’t ordered the mobile base I asked them to order and they didn’t have it in stock (I was able to get it at Rockler right away). When visiting the store, there are often multiple employees behind the desk and they seem inconvenienced when you ask questions - even when there aren’t many customers. Rockler service is night & day better.
Robert Pigg: Excellent store for the purchase of high quality tools. Good selection of wood choices that periodically are on sale. Staff is knowledgable and not hesitant to ask another staff member if they are not sure of an answer. Advise and information has always been reliable and accurate.
David LaRue: I like this store. I would say, do not buy gifts for other people here. There is no way to return or exchange gifts.
Ryan Garnett: Their selection of wood could be improved on but they are nice and helpful unlike most other similar wood stores around and they have a nice selection of woodworking tools.
John Powell: Decent tool selection but a bit higher cost wise. Good wood selection. The staff are friendly but their classes are unorganized. I signed up for a class and it was cancelled and then I received no updates to when it would be scheduled. I had to repeatedly call the staff and the manager to get information to no avail. Then the class was cancelled again and I only knew because I called multiple times day-of to find out.If you're on a schedule don't trust their class schedule. I'm more disappointed than anything
Rick Gilliland: Super helpful staff. Good general selection of tools and extras like sand paper and other items. They don't sell lie nielson hand planes.
Jonathan Fryer: I took my dog in with me to check for Stanley plane parts. Although I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, it was a fantastic store to visit. I found several other items I may go back for another time.
J P: I went to Woodcraft Kansas City today to make a big investment in some pretty expensive tools. Dave took all the time, calmly answered a million questions and made some spot on recommendations of where to best spend money and where to save a little. Excellent experience (as ever). Thanks Dave and thanks Woodcraft!
Forrest Vail: Quality, friendly, knowledgable.
Tori Ross: The gentlemen who work here were all really helpful and nice. When one associate wasn't 100% about a product he got another associate to teach us both about it on the spot. They then also sent me with instructions incase I needed the reminder for my project later.I am very excited to come back and learn more. Very much would recommend this place.
Anthony's KC WoodWorks: Love this store. They always have everything i need. Even the little and difficult to ask for things. I highly recommend for anyone into woodworking
Vito Carabetta: Are you a military veteran and a woodworker? If you are, then shop here first for 10% off all regularly priced items. Thank you Woodcraft!
Joe Lewis: Everything you need for woodworking without having to sort through general home center stuff at big box stores. Helpful staff, really good store
Felix garcia: Very helpful employees which is why I give my rating so high also because they suggested other places for wood purchases but not a five since the wood selection there was limited compared to other woodcraft stores I've been to.

Schutte Lumber Company: what do users think?
Dennis Baughman: My go to! Always professional, friendly and knowledgable of their offerings. I even watch the "Tommy Talks" on social media. Keep em' going.
Maurice Koon: I have a construction business and know how it is when it comes to the public. My first interaction with this place was amazing. I drive 320 miles to just look at their inventory. I then spent over 500 dollars in their store The sales team gave me great turnaround on the estimate. I tell them we will be back up here to pick up this order on September 15 or the following week. We call and say we’re not coming the 15 th and will be there the 22 nd. we get on the road and are over half way there ( 145 miles) of a 325 mile trip and get told we can’t sell to you you have to order it from a Meeks store. I tell them after all this you have a choice of selling it to me or losing an 11,000 dollar order. There is more that I am not saying After all poor communication and poor customer service. I would not recommend this business in anyway shape or form. Hopefully no one else gets this treatment either.
Vac C: Vast amount of all size wood. They will even cut to the size you need.
Jessica Michael: Exactly what I needed. Called to double check was in stock went down a couple hours later and picked it up. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure I got the right product and was extremely helpful and accommodating.
Heidi A: Very disappointed with the Customer Service. Bought a 24x8 wood and have them custom cut. They said turn around time is 3 days. I call to confirm every day as I am tight with my schedule. Its never ready when I call. They said my sales person Christian will call me if its ready. 3rd day, 4th day - no phone call! 5th day is a Sunday- THEY ARE CLOSED :-( Monday, I will no longer have any assistant to help me. So disappointed. I will never buy from them again.
Marc Morrison: Good wood selection, but every time I go in the guys in the showroom seem put out that I am there.
david banner: Way too high priced 4 third source boards
Guy Gentry: Great place to do business, great product and friendly staff with family values!!
Pamela Gard: Melvin delivered our lumber today and helped my husband carry it! He was great - and even got to my house before it was necessary.
Jamie Thieman: What an amazing company and amazing people!! Keep up the great work!!! I highly recommend buying from them!!
Janise Griffin: Great customer service. Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Jim Stewart: Website says they're open on Saturday. Guess not.
megan hodges: From one local small KC business to another, Schutte Lumber was amazing in helping us with what I'm sure is a very small order for them. I worked with Pete in sales who was patient and helped us find exactly what we needed for out job. Marvin just delivered our order and went above and beyond and was just the nicest. Thank you Schutte!
Neil Womelduff: Visiting from Atlanta to do an old house restoration, they provided the same expert help we’ve appreciated for many decades. This place is a gem.
Kevin Sandwich: Inventory is a little spotty due to the pandemic, but otherwise great selection for wood workers. The folks working here are amazing too. Knowledgable, friendly and they give me space when I just need to browse materials and prices.
Jeremy Smith: Service was ok but it took a 1 hour for them to pull my order from the yard that they know about a week in advance
Tim Schenck: Icalled on Tuesday and asked if they carried 4/4 sapele. the sales person said yes, So I drove 2.5hrs to buy some. When I asked about it, I was told it was 3/4; and that's all they carry! 60$ of fuel, and 5hrs down the drain! I'll go back to Austin Hardwoods in Denver. At least they know what they sell!
Pedro Hernandez: Great customer service. Great selection of lumber. Every time I go there Pete helps me with what I need. From lumber to Festool tools they have great products.
Scott Hamele: Decent prices... good quality !
Avery Bell: Awesome selection. Cool history and the staff here is super knowledgable and friendly
roger mcmillin: awsome place has all your lumber needs

GNC Carpenters: what do users think?
Nichole Loiacono: GNC carpenters have no idea what they are doing. They estimated a job for us which included painting our master, making a closet into a linen closet, and most importantly refinishing our hardwood floors. None of it came out well. They damaged the plaster walls, had major gouges and streaks in the floors as well as uneven staining and blames it all on being an old house. Even though he drug our refrigerator across the floor to a porch which caused the scratches and streaks. He didnt even attempt to finish the job. After he knew how upset we were he packed up his stuff and left the key on the floor. Now they won't return our calls. We gave them $2800 the first week of work when the estimate total was $3200. Fully expecting beautiful, finished floors. Instead we've had to call another company to come and redo the floors entirely as they were scratched and done so badly. We paid almost $3000 for a painted master, shelves in a small linen closet, and ruined floors. Needless to say, we want our money back!!!!!!
Anna: We found out about GNC Carpenters on Facebook randomly due to their relationship with Children's Mercy Hospital. Before using GNC Carpenters, we had tried two other businesses that were recommended to us. One business was privately owned and the other was All Dimensions Flooring. Both businesses would act like they were eager to do the work but then would never call me back. Therefore, I decided to give this business that I had never heard of a try.The work GNC did was build a sub-floor in our laundry room and install new flooring. I cannot say enough about their responsiveness and the quality of work. Due to my prior experience with the other businesses, I was a little nervous about using someone who I knew very little about and had not been recommended to us by anyone. However, Meghan, one of the owners was always just a text or email away. I even found out the owners had just had a newborn only a week or two earlier and yet they were still incredibly responsive. The estimate they gave me before doing the work was very reasonable and the ultimate invoice was substantially under the estimate (I'm sure this doesn't happen all that often but what a nice surprise!). Additionally, it was less than two weeks from the time I initially called to request the estimate to the time the work was completed,I generally don't bother giving reviews (good or bad) but given my prior experience, I felt compelled to give this one.
Ryan Miller: I needed simple deck stairs built. They sent over a "great guy" who built a horribly wonky, possibly unsafe structure. They sent over a "better guy" to kind of, sort of fix it, but he still left a lot of be desired. When the owner came to collect payment, he made me pay for hours for both the botched job and the "fix."When I complained about some glaring details, it was implied that I'd have to pay even more to make it right.I'm disappointed every time I see their work.
Jackie Benn: A large dining room window had been shattered from a rock thrown from mower. I was also leaving town in a few days and had to get the window replaced beforehand. GNC came out and measured for a new window the next day and were able to order the replacement. The carpenters replaced the window before we left town. They did excellent work and cleaned up all the glass fragments. I intend to use this company in the future and highly recommend GNC Carpenters for repairs and replacements
Hopeful Lee: I worked for GNC on a few jobs and found it difficult to collect my check on time. It seems like they disappear on payday. They have owed me a large sum of money for the past two weeks and are refusing to pay even though they have already been paid for hours I worked. I believe they are scam artists. The picture they have on here for their business address is not correct. They don't have a store front. Also I see the owners Meghan and Charlie reviewing themselves giving the company a five star rating. Beware.
Rod B: I have had GNC Carpenters do several home projects for me. The first was them resolving a mysterious leak over a back room. Several others had tried but no one else could figure it out. They have also added stairs to the back deck and fencing around the backyard. I am very happy with the results on each project. GNC is an honest and friendly team of professionals that I highly recommend for any home projects you may have.
