I've lived all over and if it has more dishonesty than say, Asia the REZ, the Med or the Middle East, My pay has not kept up with the cost of living in the US to absorb such disappointments.

J G: Someone I know parked their car to have work done here and got their catalytic converter stolen. Come to find out, it had happened to this business before. He didn't turn it into insurance to cover the vehicle, and charged $200 MORE to get it fixed. Didn't even offer to do it for free after it had been stolen on THEIR property. He has lost business over this now. Word to the wise DO NOT LEAVE OR EVEN PARK YOUR CAR HERE OVER NIGHT!

When other reputable mechanics didn't want to spend the time to figure out the cause of a difficult problem, Anders spent the extra hours and effort to find a hidden problem, and did the repair for a reasonable price. I really appreciate the care and effort that Hardy and crew took in keeping my 2009 Volvo XC70 with 165,000 miles running for many more years. Keeping a solid vehicle running good is much cheaper than a new car payment and it's very hard to find places like Anders Automotive who appreciate that the same. KC Local: Long story, but my Audi was disabled and I thought for sure I would need to tow it … somewhere. I was weighing various options when another mechanic in the area (that does not service Audis) recommended this place. I called them, and in a straightforward manner they recommended I could “limp” my vehicle to another place a little closer that could solve my problem.They were correct - they saved me the cost of a tow, at least, rather than take my business for this small job. Mark Dodd: I was lead to Don over a decade ago by another auto tech who worked on my vehicles. The reason he sent me to Don is the issue with my car was above his abilities and he wanted to make sure I was taken care of. Over the preceding years, Don has guided me when and when not to fix items on my vehicles saving me thousands of dollars. One time I had some issues and I took my car to the local Acura dealer at the time which is no longer in business. The quote was 10K plus. I took it to Don and he did all the work for around $1500. Ultimately, Don is honest and does fantastic work and that is what we all want. Honesty and fantastic service.

Allison Gibbons: We were referred to Don from a previous customer. It started off bad from the get go. My husband called Don to schedule an appt. to get the AC looked at in his ‘89 Honda. Don said it would cost $80 just to look at it. He told myhusband to bring it by Tuesday evening when my husband got off of work. When my husband arrived Tuesday evening, Don told my husband he couldn’t take his car because he didn’t have room for it. Mind you, we live North of the river in Missouri. Don’s shop isn’t “down the road” from us. My husband explained that, and Don eventually found room for him to park his car. Don looked at the AC and apparently “diagnosed” it within 5 minutes and said it was a relay switch on the dash. Don asked my husband when he needed his car back, and he told Don by the weekend. Don said he’d have it ready by Friday (6/12). My husband called him Friday morning to make sure the car was ready and to see how much it would be. Don said it was blowing “ice cold” air, and then asked if my husband was paying with cash. My husband said yes. Don said it would be $400, but would give my husband a discount since he was paying with cash. My husband arrived with his mom after work to pick up the car. Don said with the discount it would be $350. He took my husband outside to the car. It was blowing hot air. Don then told my husband to take it down Southwest Blvd. to get the AC going. It was still blowing hot air by the time my husband brought it back to the shop. Don then said it must be the fuse. It needed a 10 amp fuse, but Don put in a 15 amp, which of course blew it. THEN, Don said it must be the condenser clutch and told my husband to look around to buy the part, and he would put it in for him. We were out of a car for almost a week, had to rely on my mother in law for transportation, and NOTHING got done. My husband was ABSOLUTELY DONE with Don at this point, and was not going to receive any more service from us. He charged my husband $150 to do absolutely nothing! To top it off, my husband noticed after he got home, that the glove compartment door was bent from Don pulling it off! $150 and we got the car back worse than it was before. If I could give this man a zero I would. He gave us the run around from the beginning, and we should have never tried to do business with this man. Don’t waste your time with him. Take it to an actual professional who will do what they said they would do the first time.
