The only catch was they had 2 dogs and never cleaned the car so there was a heavy buildup of dust, grime and a lot of dog hair. Stains were also present. This car was a level 3 cleaning job for sure. I came by for a free estimate just to see what timeframe to expect. Dropped the car off 2 days later and after less than 6 hrs I had a car that looked and smelled like I was driving it off the car lot. During the estimate, where I was quoted their normal $225 for interior deep cleaning, I was warned that if some of the stains on the upholstery needed multiple passes, then the price might go up but that didn't end up happening. Richard was honest, no nonsense and answered my questions easily. H Lyons: Needed service for my E-450 based Motorhome on my way home from Alaska. Midway Ford Truck was just a few blocks from the RV park. Arrived at Midway at 6:30am. Got right in and estimate for work was 3 hours. We went to breakfast and groceries meanwhile. Received call at 8:20 am saying it was ready. Headed over, paid the bill and took it back to the RV park. After leveling I checked the trans fluid and it was low, barely touching the stick! The oil was down 1/2 qt as well. Not happy but I was just going to add fluid. Then I checked my invoice and saw that they used the wrong oil. 6.8L requires 5w-30. So I called to verify as it might have been a typo. Not a typo. So I break camp for the second time and back I go for another oil change and trans fluid top off. The tech comes out with the trans dip stick showing the level in the center of the range. I asked if the engine was running when he checked it. He hesitated and said yes however he had “the face”. So after another 1.5 hrs I head back and set up again. Engine still running, I checked the trans fluid again and it was just a drop of red on the tip of the dipstick. So I called and once again stated the trans fluid level was unacceptable. They sent a mobile tech over and he checked the level himself and confirmed my observation. He added fluid until the level indicated full.As for the oil, it was still 1/4 qt low but the mobile tech did not have any so I gave up.You have to wonder how a professional technician at a large truck center can remove a cap with large yellow numbers 5W-30 on it and put something else in. To add icing to the cake, I have a Fumoto drain valve so the tech did not need any tools to perform the oil change.As an added bonus they put the motorhome in a bay with a steep ramp down then into the bay and up on the lift/ramp adding some nice gashes to the bottom of my tow bar. Additionally they greased my door handle and steering wheel.The two star rating is because they did correct their mistake and were not hard to deal with.This oil and transmission service was over $500.00. I expect better from a professional service center.
