Longview Campground: what do users think?
James Garton: The Jackson County RV parks are always clean and they keep everything pretty peaceful inside.
Nicki Muhawi: Stayed here for about a week and it was a pleasant place to call home :)
Cera Brown: Playground: Big playground with jungle gym.Restrooms: Three restrooms, but no soap provided. Please bring your own hand soap!Dog-friendliness: Pet friendly. Max 3 pets per campsite.
Matthew Crocker: I really like this campground. Big spots, easy to navigate, and close to things to do
Sonya Leverton: We stayed here for a week. The park is beautiful and the attendants are super nice. The only reason we did not give a 5 star is the roads to the premiere sites was a bit tight. Also, people park their cars, trucks too close to the road which make it even tighter to get thru.Bathrooms very clean, playground well maintained. We will definitely stay again!!
John Morton: $30 a night for a patch of ground!!! No thank you...if you have an RV? Prepare to take out a loan.
Coley Paskey: Great campground! Love that u can check in (w/o res) until 9pm, was driving through town and decided to stop somewhere close. Had kindling and leaves in fire pit so we could actually have a fire!! Bought a bucket LOAD of wood for cheap. Lil one got up and played on the playground (not the best but it sure worked to wear him out!)Super friendly and helpful, clean and well maintained area!
David Sellards: Beautiful area. Longview Lk...not so much. But we didn't come here to see the lake.Restrooms: Restrooms are clean.
Marsh Jones: Very nice country park. Clean, well spaced campsites. Not on the lake, but it was fun watching the deer run thru the park! Bathroom was clean (flushie) but we didn't avail ourselves of the shower at the main bathhouse. Will definitely stay at one of the three Jackson county campgrounds again.
Tammy Moppin: Beautiful. Fair priced. Very clean. Excellent firewood quality.Dog-friendliness: My dog had a blast with all the open spaces.
Daren Wooldridge: Love this place it's very nice concrete pads gravel very very nice place to stay.
Mandy D. Young: The lights were beautiful this year
james winsch: Always my family enjoy the Christmas ⛄🎄 lights, thanks for another outstanding display
Aaron Boeggeman: Nice clean showers people were friendly just wish it was closer to the water
Stephanie Thomas: Clean, hosts are friendly. Not a lot of shade.
Cherice Hare: Enjoyed the weekend, tents and grandkids.
Kelly Caddel: Came in right when attendant was off duty. Very friendly and got me set up for the night. Hwy noise in the morning. Washrooms clean. Good for a night. Coyote calls at night were something.
Mr Filo: Been here one time in August had a nice weekend camp hosts were very nice. The camp sites are away from the lake.
Benjamin Grygar: Awesomeness all around ... went for a family weekend and thats just what we got! Peace and awesome neighbors quiet clean facilities nice playground for the kids. Plenty of wildlife and friendly dogs walking and playing kids loved it ... we even met a run away parot awesome trip all around!
Stephen K: Nice place to stay while visiting family. Nice places to ride bikes, close to town but didn't go. Our site was gravel and had full hookups. Site86, $38/ night but did get a veteran discount as a refund. Second time to stay. Will go back!
Eileen Smith: Called to make a reservation today at Longview. Girl was not very friendly. She asked if I had been there before. I said no, I was from Arizona. After completing reservation, she failed to hang up the phone and she and another employee started making fun of me to each other. (WHILE LAUGHING, I HEARD FOLLOWING:)"NO, I'm from Arizona""What's closer to Kansas City?""OH, I'm special, I'm from Mesa"I finally said I was still on the phone and she hung up.Management should check schedule and find out who the two women were and they should be fired. Unprofessional and rude.

Cheryl Schimmel: A GREAT place to camp!Food & drinks: Great Ice creamService: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
ulrich pricer: Entertainment was great the cabins were small like a 4 person only has 2 medium sized beds cotton flying everywhere pool was NOT clean but good anywayRooms: SmallNearby activities: Packed together
Jonathan Melusky: We only stayed one night, which in hindsight, is a mistake as the place is great and would be way way better staying a week or a Summer month. We were in mid May and lots of spaces free to pull through. You have to wait for a staff person to drive the golf cart to your spot. The weight room is not that great, but we made use of it while we did laundry. Laundry room didn't have quarter machine so we waited for main store to open. Store doesn't have much in healthy food, but we brought our own so that was fine. The lakes looked awesome for fishing and I forgot to ask if one of them was set aside for swimming or not. I heard there was a heated pool but it rained a bit when we were there so I only bicycled around when the rain stopped and I didn't see anyone swimming at the pool, but it looked great. Staff was super friendly there and a hundred stars to them. Even other campers were nice. My dad got lost at night, and another camper helped him find our trailer so kudos to them! Lots of birds here so if you are into birding, then look no more. But again, don't stay just one night like we did. But then we had a 3 week vacation to see 12 states so we had to get a move on. (^:
Kylene Westcott: We absolutely adore Basswood. It’s only gotten better and better over time. It’s every thing I could have asked for. Clean bathhouses/restrooms, nice sites, organized amenities. The pool is always warmer later in the day, but the playground/air pad/golf cars/theatre/fishing ponds and so much more keep you busy. They have a constant flow of events on the weekends, fun for all ages. We will go back again and again and again to continue making memories. They have tent sites/cabins/suites/jacuzzi rooms/RV sites and more! They truly have something for everyone
eliz huggler: The RV sites are much to close together. We could no open our windows because the neighbors table was right there! The staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Grace Gipson: Hidden gem ! It is a great place to get away from it all and remember family fun.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jeanette Gibson: Beautiful surroundings with an exceptional staff makes for an unforgettable experience!
Jerry Shanks: My brother, sister inlaw and their children stayed here about a year ago. When they arrived and unloaded their luggage in the rooms, their kids noticed something moving on the beds and all their stuff. They quickly left and went to our inlaws home. Fast forward a year and now we are all dealing with a bed bug infestation. My mother and father inlaws home has the worst of it for now. Now we have to get rid of mess
Tony Mitchell: you have to be rich to stay there everything's expensiveRestrooms: You can take a good hot showerRooms: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 2/5Hotel highlights Great view, Kid-friendly …More
Jessica Hubbard Morgan: I'd love to stay here again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Johnathon Uncapher: I didn't stay here but Sharon was pretty rude on the phone.
Liz Y: Would've given 5 stars but there were cockroaches in the cabin. We had to unpack outside & shake everything b4 bringing it in our house.
Benjamin Jones: Customer service is awesome. The store is awesome for supplies. The views are beautiful. Great place for adults and kids to make memories.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
B__bies: Terrible service. They pay attention to money not quality. I stayed here for about two years and was always slow to fix pipes and electricity. Terrible staff that work thereRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Danielle Rucker: We had our RV parked in their RV park for several months. We decided to leave the RV there and return home for a couple days. We made sure to unplug everything and turn off the water before we left. The first time we left it there they turned our water back on and ended up flooding our RV. The second time we left they did the same thing and froze the pipes in the RV. They said it was because they were working on the water at the park and just turned it on when they were done. Regardless, when we brought it to their attention they offered no solution, apology or anything. The woman at the front desk who we spoke with about this was not helpful and incredibly rude. Based on our interaction with her alone we will never return, let alone the damage they caused without even so much of an apology.

Autumn Falls RV Park: what do users think?
mike carlson: This is a quiet place to live where your neighbors look out each other.
Lance Murkin: So far this is turning out to be a solid network of fairly nice older folks, as you would imagine. So far, so good.
Kirby Bo: We came in from Illinois, was so pleased that they met us and helped us hook up after hours. We loved the family that owned the park. Was delightful and helpful. Was so close to the Cheifs and Royals Stadium, which was so helpful. We will stay again if ever thru K.C.We were coming thru again this year . . But under new ownership…
Russ Norcross (Miss purple passion): Very clean very friendly very serviceable quick to respond to any needs very safe especially in a heart of some place that isn't safe Harley at all the groundskeeping and the maintenance done by the person named Jerry very wonderful man great experience I go back there any time good price good location this overall very nice wonderful safe place the maintenance and security done by this man Jerry he goes beyond and above any call of duty they are very lucky to have him place is very warm feeling homey feeling a place you would never want to leave!!!
Juergen Weyhofen: Warm and friendly
Deana Stradford: Quiet trailers are too close together for me
Pam: Very well maintained and pleasant RV park for folks 55+.
Jacqueline Young: Very sketchy maintenance is rare and utilize spit and toilet paper to make repairs. My front door hasn't locked since I moved in and it is reported by long term residents that the same key is used on every single trailer rented in the park. RV folk who come and stay only for a few months have no complaints but those of us renting the 20 to 40 year old trailers are pretty much ignored. Recently my mailbox key disappeared from my key chain and I haven't been able to check my mail for over a week.
Boogey Man: VERY, VERY nice and quiet. Lovely little spot to cop at for a bit.
Constance Hines: Very clean park ,quiet ,older clientel
Jeffrey Harker: Good wholesome people and clean. Just a peaceful place.
Marla Maxwell: Just visited an old friend who lives there. It was nice and quiet and very clean.
Tracy Burton: Woo-wee, I've never had to visit a trailer park community before. This was work related. I'll leave my negative words to myself.
jerrod tapscott: The park manager is sketchy
M Bo: Old folks live there
Bobby Benedict: Excellent. Been here 5 yrs
Jennifer McCollum: Horrible place. Management is a crazy racist, fascist dictator that won't any visitors for more the ONE hour, no grandkids can sleep over EVER. No outdoor furniture either. UNBELIEVABLE
Jason Eaves: Great owner and clean place to stay
Lyle Jones: like
Jamie Atkins: Nice quiet place to stay and live.
Michael Tristanio: Very well-kept RV Park. Quiet and near perfect for those looking for rest and relaxation. The ownership is very friendly and accommodating. Serving the 55 and older folks. Has been there under the same ownership since 1985. I highly recommend this place.

Ron Healey: Nice RV parkRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Gary: Spent the day Saturday, June 17 at both locations. 5 rides not operating for whatever reasons, some shut down all day others seemingly random and in rotation. Season pass holders only for the new Zambezi Zinger???? Sketchy maintenance, rotting wood on decks, green algae growing on the soda machines, trash bags piled up at ride entrances, limited food offerings. $7 for a 30 oz soda. You know it only takes .26 cents to make the soda which includes wages, ice, cups, etc.Fairly short lines, grounds/plants are nice and very well kept. The Patriot and Mamba only 2 good reasons to spend the then $40 entrance fee.Not sure what has happened to the park since our visit last year. Turned into the WANNABE amusement park East of the Missouri River at Disney prices, which you are not even in the same universe.
Shannon V: We had two cabins. They were nice and clean. Linens are provided for all the beds, but not the loft. We brought air mattress and blankets for the kids. The pool was really dirty, lots of leaves at the bottom and floating debris.Nearby activities: Nice to stay close to WOFFood & drinks: Pizza Hut delivers directly to your cabin
Mary Slates: The day of our check-in, we arrived after 9 pm and security let us into our cabin. I proceeded into the bedroom with our luggage and my two 4 year old grandsons. My grandsons are at climbing age so it lead me to inspect the bunkbed. I'm glad I did because housekeeping clearly did not clean it after the previous guests. I found a half eaten slice of old pizza on the top bunk post. I called security back and they moved us to a different cabin and said they would report the incident. Either they didn't or they did becauce the office acted all hush hush like nothing happened. I'm sick to my stomach because I keep thinking on what if my grandsons found it before me. I wasn't wanting any money back but an acknowledgement and apology would of been nice from management. They took my phone number and no one called me. Just disappointed at how we were treated. Lead me to believe they actually don't care.
Charles Hurmiz: We stayed at the RV park. Easy in and out. Not too noisy. Clean with a nice pool.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Kelli Keller: Pool & hot tub are only open for 3 months from Memorial Day thru Labor Day.Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Tanya Leddy: Comfortable cabins to stay in close to the park. There is a gate to go between park and cabins, but it wasn't open during our stay.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Kid-friendly …More
Kendra Nurski: The pictures I found online before our stay do not do this place justice. It was perfect! We won't go to Worlds Of Fun again without staying at a cabin here. Staff was super great as well.Rooms: The loft area is great for kids and the bed in the bedroom was smaller then most places but totally made up for that in comfort.
Becca Shideler: Stayed in the RV, nice paved pads to park the camper on. Staff was very friendly.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Kate Leonhard: This was an overnight stop for us, we chose the area due to places of interest but unfortunately we came in later than expected. Concrete level sites with full hook up made things easy for us, the sites are quite close together. The facilities were very well maintained and up to date.Side note there are trains passing through at all hours of the day and night, so this needs to be taken into consideration along with the surrounding area which seemed run down.

rick elias: Nice place. Train nearby. The cleanest facilities ever! We'd definitely stay there again!
Doyle Schrader: Off the beaten path. Some train noise. Very clean park. Nothing bad enough not to go back.

J Parzych: I stayed at this park because of its proximity to Kansas City and Independence, It's a clean and well managed park, but is very close to a railroad with trains blowing their horns all night and day.
Pat Schroeder: Great place, quiet, clean restroom & showers.
Patrick Lamb: This campsite is set up for the transient camper. The lots are small and close to one another. They have concrete pad and require little, if any adjustments to make your rig level. Full hookups are provided. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. The showers are big and have a lot of room to move around. This site is located near a lot great points of interest making it easy to walk to.

Jacomo Campground: what do users think?
Shawndra Nobles: Very quiet, nice employees. We had a great time
adamltw: Excellent city campground. Gravel sites . Most with trees. New kids playground equipment. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Huge individual rooms. Water in shower is a single stream but otherwise excellent. 5G cell service with Verizon.
Lee Marlin: Really beautiful campground! Tons of trees, many spots with lake view, little deer everywhere, very quiet. The sites are really spread out so we had privacy. We had a pull thu FHU site on a concrete pad for $50/night. Electric and water worked great. But we had an issue with the sewer; otherwise would have given this 5 stars. There were two sewer choices and the maintenance guys said the host should have told us to one vs the other, but he had not done that. The maintenance staff was awesome and helped us unhook an already full sewer hose and situate it on the correct sewer connection. EWWW!!! If they hadn't been around it would have been disastrous. That issue aside, we would definitely stay here again!
Kush kingdom michael: Great place to hang out with family and friends rent a boat
Andrew Megaris: Nice campsite, lots of different site options for campers. My only complaint was our neighbors had a campfire and were outside being loud past 3am.
Bluskys4 Rita: Very peaceful location
Kenin Ad'Requre: Terrible site. Tiny, cramped, crowded, and the ground is at 30 to 70 degree angles everywhere you look, so good luck setting up a tent. For a basic site with no hookups of any kind, you're looking at $87 to stay two and a half days. I would rather camp in a dumpster. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. If I could give negative stars, I would.
RKY: Can pull up right to the edge of the lake. Campground is up the hill on other side of road.
S. Gayle Huerter: Beautiful little campground with great fishing and lots of wild life.Playground: Nice playground area for the kids. Located in center of campground.Restrooms: Nice clean . Restrooms, very large with showers.Dog-friendliness: Pets allowed, no size limit, must be on.no longer than 6 ft leash at all times and must clean up after your pet. 3 dog limitPicnic area: Each site comes with picnic table and fire ring. Also nice picnic shelter for larger groups.
Jessica Otradovec: We had a great time here!! It was very busy, the spaces are a little close, but we liked that because our kids spent most of the time playing with all the other kids! There's a playground that's easy distance from all the sites, and the facilities were super clean. Just bring your own hand soap! The only downside is we couldn't put up a hammock in the trees - they don't allow that here.
Sherri P.: Unfortunately this campground has been going down hill for a while. Sites are uneven with large gravel. New bath house looks like something out of the county jail with orange mold on walls spider webs at ceilings . Staff ready to jump on you for slightest infraction . Grew up in this area, but this will be my last stop here. Jackson county should do better.
Edwin Hart: The camp host is an absolute fascist about the rules to the point my 10 year old daughter was in tears. The host (husband) gets off harassing people about the rules, clearly a person that enjoys his “power”. First camping trip for my kids and my niece from Japan and we get this guy. I was absolutely mortified, save yourself some drama, find a better place to camp! Evidently I’m not the only person that has had problems with this host. Parks and Rec? Why are you allowing this to go on? Oh and fix your bathroom locks, one of the campers got locked in the bathroom for 10 minutes, kinda scary.
Bill Piersol: Pleasant campground, beautiful setting, very friendly and professional staff.
Tiffany Eidson: Very beautiful campground with lots of trees to keep the lots shaded and cool. Very kid and pet friendly.
Linda Bassette: First time out with our rv. Clean bathrooms, pretty area, friendly staff and other campers.
Brittany Crawford (B): Bathrooms were super clean and the grounds were well maintained. However, they place everyone super close together and I didn’t like that. I’m used to camping spread out, not right on top of others. They do have firewood for sale so that’s nice. Overall it was a decent experience.
Barry Kindsfather: Bathrooms are clean.
Gina Anderson: Very clean, quiet place. One of my 2 favorite places to camp now.Camp hosts Dave and Pat and little for baby Annie are great.Clyde and Anita are awesome people and the second camp hosts.
Brian Gremmel: Not a friendly place to camp. We got there and was immediately informed that our street legal 50cc street scooters were not allowed and were not street legal. 50cc scooters are street legal. The rules say no golf carts or scooters of any kind, no exceptions. The host drove a golf cart all over the camp so there are exceptions. As well we were told that you can’t allow other people into our camp site which was not a plan but felt rude to tell us. We were told we can’t have any RC toys of any kind. This to is fine, but, there was someone flying a drone over our camp taking pictures for most of the first night which was a camp neighbor we found out. The last draw was the camp host getting into a fight and broke something at their camp site. This was the most inhospitable camp I’ve been to. It was clean, and the grounds were well take care of, what the deal breaker was the camp host and their lack of being a friendly host. We will not be back. We camped from 7/1 - 7/3.
Shawn Bruce: Pretty nice campground. Some rules didn't make since, like you can't bring your own fire wood because of a box elder bug, but you can buy there fire wood for $7. The one rule that really got me was you can't hang a hammock from the trees, or any lights or anything. The racoons come out at night so make sure all your food is put up at night or you will get robbed. They are friendly though and got within a few feet of me. Alot of rules but all in all, this is a nice place to camp.
Steve Tauchert: Nice shady campground with great hiking trails. Restrooms are the cleanest I've seen at a campground. The hosts maintain them and the grounds well!

Blue Springs Lake Campground: what do users think?
Malisa C: Very nice attendants. Nice bathrooms very very clean and clean showers good pressure and hot water. Camps grounds are not very level and r was lot close together. All night you only hear traffic as its right on the highway. We go a lot but if you are looking for peaceful it’s not the place. Also you have to pay 10.00 to swim.
Andy Dale: COE constructed with gravel and paved sites. Sites are small and not level. The park is clean and camp hosts are professional.
Deb H (Professional 1984): Loved that it was gated to keep people from randomly driving through. Other campers friendly and respectful. Quiet for the middle of the city.
Linda Brown: Nice shady, level lots, easy to back into. Access close to highway and restaurants. We stayed one night with 30amp electricity since the night before was boondocking.Restrooms: CleanDog-friendliness: Allows up to two dogs.Picnic area: Picnic tables and fire ring located under shade tree.
Brad Olsen: Clean, nice and safe.
palladium cater: nice
Deb Lorance: Great place to stay. Enjoyed our stay. Pet friendly.
Kathleen Ledezma Spurrier: Great camp! Beautiful lake
Amanda Horne: Average campground. Hard to find flat spots for tents. For whatever reason we kept getting swarmed by hundreds of gnats. Bizarre that they don’t have hand soap in bathroom.
Ruthie Wu: I spontaneously decided to go camping and this place was very beginner friendly. There’re stars, trails, lakes, and running water! I really enjoyed my time here. The sunrise is worth losing sleep for.
Landon Whitteck: Always so pristine. Jackson county employees go above and beyond to make it a clean/safe environment for everyone
Josh Lowe: We're locals but wanted to try out a really close to home campground when the diesel prices were $5+. The campground is nice and the grass was well kept - we just wish it was close to the water. When we were there the swim beach was closed - I don't know why. Decent place to stop if you're traveling through but doesn't have the amenities of a state park. Also they 'make' you buy the firewood from them - it's very expensive though. The people working weren't rude but they weren't friendly either. I don't like having to enter a gate code but I guess that helps contribute to the park being clean?
Kiersten Harris: Great place!!! They have a volleyball net, so bring your ball. We did, there were 3 of us and we had 4 other kids come out and play with us! It was so much fun!!!! There is a fishing pond just outside of the campground as well as a fun LS park with a short walking trail. The campground also has a playground, but on the opposite side that we were. Enjoy!!!!!!
Wood Family (Barefoottravelers): Very nice place to camp. Was really quiet. Had showers, bathroom, laundry room. Now we was washing cloths and then seen the dryers wasn't working. Don't know how long they have been out for . We had lot 47. Had some shade. The tree hangs really low over the fire pit. But we did have a small fire no problems. $7 a bundle of woodRestrooms: Clean. BRING your own soapDog-friendliness: 3 dog max. Keep on leash
Frank Neidenbach: Premium site. $48 per night full hookup pull through site with concrete pad. Good size sites. No wi-fi and no cable tv. Some over air channels available on antenns.Sight could have been more level. Could use a few more amenitiesQuiet well maintained park. Friendly park hosts.
Sherry Lewis: The camp hosts need courtesy classes.Very rude man and his wife, assuming they were married. Not everyone is capable of being good hosts which puts a damper on the experience. Hopefully they were having a single bad day and choose to take it out on us, as it was my daughter and me. I guess we were easy targets for their bullying.
Catalina Nicole: Thank God they where open tl 9Didn't stay long sleeping on a incline ridiculous .Woke up in middle night sick threw up everywhere$30 to camp for 3 hours 🙃
Mike White: This was our 4th time at Blue Springs Lake Campground. It's a great campground that's why we keep coming back. The attendants are very friendly and helpful. All the camping spots are spaced out so your not on top of each other. Plenty of space. My wife and I spent 2 nights and 3 days there. The temps were perfect. We lit the firepit it was a great time. I wanted to give a great review of this campground. Many people leave bad reviews because of something small. Every time we have stayed there we have a great time. We couldnt think of anything that went wrong. We will be back. This our favorite campground that we have been to. Thank you for the great hospitality you gave us.Mike and Marcia White.
Ron Bronson: Nice sites and restrooms.
Billie Hearn: Large site quiet and clean
Jack “JacksRBetter” Boettcher: Plenty of space between campers. Beautiful woodsy scenery yet close to city activities.

John E Jones: Very nice enjoyed it very much!Restrooms: Clean well kept
James Cross: Nice place to camp that is close to KC. The park is well maintained with many of the sites being shaded and pretty level. Many new trees have been planted that will help in the years ahead. The kids enjoyed the playground, riding bikes and scooters on the path and playing in the lake. The only negative is the showers could use some work. Many needed repairs such as new shower heads, hooks, etc. Weekends are very busy as it is usually full but week days are quiet and relaxing.
Josh Oothoudt: It's camping in a field, but the bathrooms/showers are clean, the sites are mowed, the trails wind through all the coves and other than holidays, it is pretty darned quiet. Good enough for me.
Sylas Regnier: Very nice campground with tons of hiking and biking trails! Our spot was spacious with a good mix of sun and shade, but maybe we were a little lucky. The bathrooms and showers were clean. And tons of wildlife to be seen! My family collectively saw about 9 deer and 1 giant snapping turtle over our week. I'd highly recommend!Playground: BigRestrooms: CleanDog-friendliness: Must be leashed, but it's a great place for dogs.Picnic area: Each spot has own picnic table. But there are public gazibos if you want something bigger.
Collin Cox: Very clean . Reservations website is a bit confusing. To bad you have to call to change Reservations. Otherwise ready to go back and have fun!
Robert Hancock: Some of the people working there are verry rude
J T: Not a bad campground. Prices are a little high and visitors have to pay to get in.
Carole Garth: This is our go-to campground when camping local. We always use Loop C. Lots of green space, spots aren’t too close. Just wish it was closer to swimming.
Vadim Zaikov: Nice campground, but checking in procedure is the worst I've seen - we were awaiting in a long line for 30+ minutes to check in. In most of other parks once you make an online reservation - you just go straight to your site
Brick Owens: My favorite campground in proximity to Kansas City. Plenty of shade. Bathrooms after clean and the showers do have warm water. Bathrooms were clean and the campground was monitored by staff and County Sheriff's. Nobody was loud after 10pm.
Tony Wegener: I have never had to pay to drive through a state park campground to see which site I would like to Camp.I guess we will not be camping at Smithville Lake.
Aubrey J: My family and I camp here often. We love this camp ground. Very well kept, very clean, and great views.
Ben B: Great quiet campsite! Water in bathhouse was approximately 32.01 degrees Fahrenheit. (Not optimal shower temperature in October for my metric friends)
Belinda Fowler: Arrived Sunday, late in the season. Host was personable and friendly at the check in point. Let us switch spots to water view upon arrival. Water was calm, campsites clean and amazing 😍 views. We will be back!!
Beth Herzog: Absolutely beautiful.
TravisWTMC: This is one of the best campsites I've stayed at in the country. The people that are running it must have a lot of love cause it shows in every aspect of the grounds from the way they take care of the restrooms to the playground. It is a great place to stay.
C Brick Owens: One of our favorite camping places in the KC area. It's about 45 minutes north of downtown 30 minutes from the airport. Highway 92 from Smithville is under construction which makes Kearney the closest town for conveniences.Restrooms: Frequently cleaned!Dog-friendliness: There are large open areas for the dogs to run, though leashes are required. Bring long leashes.
George Kildow: Great place to camp and get away!

Dee Applebury: I love to fish there during the week. The fish are plentiful and it's peaceful. The weekends are another story, you will not find calm waters.
MD Engle (Michael Engle): Great camp hostes. Every year we come here we are impressed with the staff.Don't think one could find nicer peopleSITE 67 JUNE 20, 2021
MATT Mccollom: I love the lake
Pixxy Haze: Beautiful and nice area to get out and explore. My only complaint is that some people are rude by leaving their garbage and glass bottles behind when their are trash receptacles everywhere here. My husband and I pick up trash that's not ours almost everytime we visit. I'd give Longview Lake 5 stars if more visitors would clean up after themselves.
AJ jennings: Nice clean lake
ThatToXicKid: Great for family photo shoot, skunk sprayed on us
Terry: Christmas in the park is amazing. To avoid the long lines, the week after Christmas is the best time to go.
Eber Pearson: Nice place to eat your lunch.
Jake Flieger: Nice place to kick back and chill!
