Muzammel Rizvi: I showed up 2 hours before close on a cold Friday night. I was going to just get a chicken shawarma and a plate of hummus, but the owner suggested that I should try the buffet because it was the same price as my meal and I'd get a drink (and all I could eat)So I did and I loved his suggestion. Some of the food looked like it had been out under the warmers all day, but that's with any buffet. I tried the beef & chicken kebabs, the falafel, tabouli, hummus, and the lentil soup (picture).There are a bunch of other options including potatoes, rice, variety of different vegetables. All looked great but I wanted to try the food I was most used to. Definitely did not disappoint! Went in for seconds as well!

Sunny Sky: Very disappointed. My girlfriend and I just moved back to KC and hadn't eaten in here for 3 years. We were saddened to see how run down and dirty this restaurant has become. I went in the bathroom and was disgusted at the odor and filth...toilet paper and used towels on the dirty floor. The food on the buffet at the dinner hour was very stale and looked like the owner was keeping items out all day from the lunch hour. Safe to say, we'll not be returning and will have to go elsewhere for our middle eastern food.
Real Talk: Great place to eat if you're looking for a buffet with 43 health code violations. I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked them up on the KC health dept website.

Ana Chavarria: Good vibe. It is my first time getting Matcha Latte and I couldn't taste anything... I had to put stevia to at least feel that I was drinking sweet cold milk. Salmon toast was ok but nothing impressive. Chocolate cookie had a good texture. I had a good time while having breakfast and reading. They have a good seating area. So overall it is ok, I was not impressed with the food. Maybe I'll come back to try something else.
Audrey Kuhn: Usually love this place but as someone with food allergies, I wish they would change ingredients on menu when they update items. I can’t eat onions and usually their chicken salad doesn’t have onions but I just ordered it (I’ve had in hundreds of times before ) and it has onions all over it. That ingredient isn’t on their ingredient list for it.

CDub 1962: We love McClains. Been going there for over 30 years! All of their danishes are the same formula and as delicious as they were back when the McClains owned it. One thing that bothers me though is they always run out of sticky buns before 930 am and that's the way it's been ever since the new owners took over. That shouldn't happen. Simply make more of them so they last till 11 please. We will always keep buying their danishes because there is nothing like them anywhere.

Lesa Tegeler: I always have the best experience at Sweet Petites KC! Their customer service is excellent and their bakery items delicious! I always order their mini cupcakes for my parties, and they are certainly a hit! Adorable and yummy! I highly recommend this shop! If you need cute, candles and napkins, they have that as well. :)
Shelly Fields: Taste was delicious but everything else was not what I had expected. I was a little disappointed that things were not clarified going into the final week before the event and when I arrived it was just handed to me without making sure it was what I wanted, especially for what I paid. Some of the cookies did not look like the photo I was sent and the colors used on the cake were awful. I took most of it off and refrosted it myself before the event. I also specifically asked that the words I wanted be written on the front not the top since I had a special cake topper made and it was on the top. I took it off too.

Came here with family and wanted to enjoy coffee, but you can't "enjoy" coffee when you're constantly bothered by wait staff to order something other than coffee. There's two areas of seating. The staff is confused on what they should do to serve or wait on people.Coffee was mid, and the food/pastries were mid. Cleintelle was older, so if you're old this place is great. Otherwise, staff is rude, incompetent, and annoying. One woman in particular took the time to stop waiting her tables and went to our table (which she wasn't waiting on) and said my sister-in-law couldn't bring in food, and she was feeding my nephew. Like, alright, let me take out the food from his belly and throw it in the trash and eat gluten even though she's allergic.Look at my reviews, they're not this long or this bad. Literally worst place/experience in KC. Credit to the male and female baristas up front, very kind folk that served our coffee. Puddlemom Pool: In search of a croissant locally that would compare with those in Paris. This is not it. 1st, what would cost between $1.20-$2.80 in Paris Bloom charged $4 and it was 2/3 of the size.It was a nice flaky layers, but it didn't taste buttery and certainly not worth the steep price. Also, had the $5 chocolate croissant and it also was smaller size and only had one bar of chocolate. The chocolate was tasty and good quality, but for $5 it should have been larger and had more chocolate.
Matthew Trowbridge: There's apple and cherry Danish are the best I've ever had. A must place to stop by at the river market.
A Hitchcock: I needed to take some treats to a very good customer of mine. The place I originally picked did not open until 11:00 am. I saw that Bloom Baking Co. opened up early, so I took a chance and drove across KC. to get there. It's a small place, but had what I wanted. The lady behind the counter was more than willing to put together a couple of boxes filled with Brownies, chocolate chunk, oatmeal-rasin, peanut-butter cookies, and peanut butter bars. Yes, it was on the expensive side, but my customer was very impressed. I can't tell you how they tasted, but they all looked amazing. I will buy from them again, but will call in advance to make it easier for them. They were very friendly.

I love supporting this local bakery!Old: I have eaten from this bakery multiple times. The first time was amazing but the last few times they have put almost no chicken salad on the croissant. I will say that the small amount they do put on is very delicious but for a ten dollar sandwich it's not worth it.
Andrea Kalish: You know how chocolate croissants never contain enough chocolate? Well that doesn't apply to Bloom's chocolate croissants. Their croissant has a thick bar of chocolate in it. It is absolutely heavenly!

As beautiful as it was delicious, our 2-tiered wedding cake & dessert bar was conceptualized & baked by Bloom Baking Company. Our dessert bar included: mini tarts, macarons, brownies & lemon bars. Cake tastings are $25 & goes towards the price of the cake. After inquiring online & our tasting, Sarah quickly set-up an in-person meeting to review our ideas, make suggestions & put together an invoice. Sarah & her team were incredibly thoughtful & considerate of both our desires & budget. Thank you Bloom Baking Company for creating such a delightful dessert experience for us & our guests. Not a bite went to waste! Our only regret is not ordering more! Looking forward to the next time I can taste Bloom!

Robin Jones: This review is not about the cupcakes themselves. I don't know how they taste. They may be delicious. However, my family and I didn't get a chance to try them. We took a trip to the plaza to see the lights and get dessert from Cupcake A La Mode, checking to see what time they closed first. When we arrived at 8:30 we were surprised to find the door locked and the woman inside not reacting to our efforts to come in since they weren't supposed to close for another 1/2 hour. Very poor business practices which means they lost this customer.Edit: You might want to reflect the winter hours on your website then.

Arianna Middlebrook: Worst sense of customer service at this location. You’re much better off taking your money to their Lees Summit location. I ordered half a dozen cupcakes 5 days before the pick up date. They called me 30 mins before the pickup time to tell me they were “sold out” of the cupcake flavor I had put an order in for. They said they “sold out 3 days ago” but if that was the case then why not relay that info to your customer when it occurred? Knowing that there was already an order in place. When I asked why it was not communicated to me earlier, the employee said she had no idea about the order and that the manager, Jennifer oversees all of it. (Terrible communication all around I guess). When I asked for some form of compensation for the inconvenience the employee said “I don’t know why it’s a big deal when we have other flavors”.... not taking into consideration the food allergens that prevent me from ordering others which I had already informed them about. 0/10 service and I would not recommend placing orders here at all.

They did give an option to call the Plaza store directly to pay. I called and was told the order hadn't come through and they were too busy to write it down and take it over the phone. I got a confirmation a few minutes later and called after half an hour. I was told they would call back in a way that did not make me feel like they valued me as a customer ..more like I was bothering them. It was a small order of only four cupcakes, but I don't think that should impact the quality of service. This woman was very unhelpful and bordering on rude She did call back and asked for my credit card number, expiration date, and security code. I was not comfortable giving my security code and asked why they didn't use a more secure form? She said, you are welcome to go somewhere else, because she hadno time for this.I am going somewhere else.I like their cupcakes but I will never order from them again because I don't like how I was treated...life is too short.

The Golddigger was super moist and full of flavor, the wedding cake one of the most delicious cakes and frosting combo I have ever had together, and the other is Salty Carmella and OMG!!! Coffee was another matter. $3.25, which is not unusual, but they served it in a disposable cup with a lid even though we were eating in. I also asked for a refill which they do not offer. They were going to charge me another $3.25! I declined. THEN later (lucky for them) as I filed my receipt I noticed I had been charged $1.00 for a little half and half in my coffee. BIG disappointment and I will not be returning.

The restaurant/space is so cute, filled with upscale market-like items for purchase (teas, candles, chocolates, pastries, etc.). For lunch we all ordered sandwiches or burgers and they were delicious! They have a wonderful selection of hot teas and gorgeous, delicious pastries! The family and staff that run Cafe Europa were so warm and welcoming and so gracious that we came back. I would HIGHLY recommend visiting and will definitely be going back.

Nic Johnson: Had a wonderful breakfast at Heirloom this weekend! I got the toffee almond latte, a cinnamon roll (HUGE), and the signature breakfast sandwich. It all was so delicious! It was pretty expensive for breakfast, so keep that in mind (those 3 items totaled $22). The vibe was very neighborhood and down to earth, and I liked the self-serve station with coffee and water. It only lost a star for me because the person who was in line directly in front of us finished eating his food and left before we received our food, so that long wait time left a little bit to be desired. I would probably understand if they were more busy, but the restaurant was only half-full at the time. Other than that, it was a great experience and we will surely be returning!
