Anita Todd: Our first time eating at Piropos. Our server Jill was excellent. We had the crab bisque which was amazing. My husband had the ribeye. Perfectly cooked and delicious. I had the medallions and shrimp. The sauces were so delicious. They gave us a free sample of the bread and dipping sauces which we ate during and after dinner. Overall excellent meal and service and we would highly recommend. Btw. The sangria was excellent too!!

W Gregor: I came here with some friends to celebrate my birthday. First time at this restaurant, and they did not disappoint. We ordered appetizers and drinks to start, and they came out quickly. The bread basket comes with three different spreads to try out. The appetizers of bacon wrapped shrimp and chicken empanadas were absolutely delicious.I ordered the beef medallions with tiger shrimp. It was phenomenal. Excellent flavor, and the sauce for the medallions was exquisite. I highly recommend ordering the chicken empanadas to start and go from there. They gave me a complimentary cheesecake slice for my birthday. 10/10 for the food, service, and atmosphere.

It also sucks that you have to pay for parking. 7 dollars for 30 minutes is crazy. Will probably go back but have someone stay in the car to not have to pay for parking. Also they close at 6 pm Monday through Friday not 4 pm how it states in Google.

When they were with us, they were attentive and very nice.It is a small place with a limited number of tables. It's a quaint spot. Clean and generally maintained, though not flamboyant or exciting. Which is absolutely fine because the food is the real star and the food if wonderful!Parking: Extremely limited amount of on street parking in front of building.

To start, everything was overcooked, Nr2 beef was overcooked to a point that beef was pretty much just a beef jerky. Nr.4 Chicken was so salty it was inedible. Both Coxinha and Risole were fried too long as well. Risole menu description says: filled with ham and cheese. Inside was ground beef and peppers, beef like chicken in Nr.4 had too much salt. Overall, for someone who has been in Brazil and enjoyed their cuisine this was a complete disappointment. Hopefully, this is just our experience, otherwise they have work to do.

Bryan Whitehead: I’ve been dining here since before it was called La Bodega, so naturally it’s an enduring favorite for me. I always get a combination of tapas, so I don’t have much experience with entrees or salads. The small plates are outstanding. Almost everything I’ve gotten here has been an excellent combination of good basic cuisine and delicious sauce. I’m a big garlic fan, and they do an especially good job with garlic-intensive flavors.I just about always get the brotxeta and the papas fritas con ajo. From there it depends on what’s on special, what my companions want to try and what happens to catch my eye. As I said, I’ve almost never gone wrong. They also do a good job with cocktails. On my most recent visit I got an allspice daiquiri that was quite good.The service here is excellent. I recommend going during happy hour for the cheaper tapas and reduced noise level. Getting lots of small things can add up to a big bill at the end of the meal, and parking can be a little weird. But really this is one of KC's best dining experiences.

You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't go. There are few places like this a one. Happy hour is Monday to Friday from 2 to 5. Bring a date, bring a spouse, bring of your friends, or go alone. BUT GO!!!!!

It was obviously trendy, but I went there with my dad and his older friends, and they couldn't understand the menu, and then you're outside and you've got the noise from the cars driving above you. The two tapas items that I picked from the menu for the table were a hit, but the other two that the table just went with at the suggestion of the server were kinda meh. The drinks were delicious, though. And though noisy, the patio was super cute. I think I'd have a different experience going back with friends. Not for the older crowd, I'd say. I think it could be a 5 star experience if I went with my girlfriends.

Chris Ellis: My wife and my 4 year old came here because we had a gift certificate to use. I was not expecting such great food and atmosphere. Our waitress was so knowledgeable, kind, and wonderful. We will definitely be coming back here again in the future. This is one of my favorite BBQ joints for sure. I got the special Torpedo sandwich. It had 3 different types of meats on it and was cut thick (which I really like). I also had fries and their baked beans. It was a great meal for a great price. Fully satisfied!Kid-friendliness: They have a good selection of kids meals.Parking: There are a few lots to park in, including the lot across the street. The parking next to the building is the best if you can park there.Wheelchair accessibility: This building is built on the ground level.

R. D.: Unique place with a nice outdoor space. Would not order the meatloaf sandwich again. Sides were totally homemade: vinegar coleslaw, warm potato salad, creamy pea salad. Mac and cheese was fine/okay. My spouse loved the food. I thought it was okay. Burnt ends were extra salty. Chicken was very good. Fun time overall and left full and satisfied.

Me: Food wasn't that good. Ordered 2 beef sandwiches w fries and 1 Turkey sandwich with fries on June 11th around 2pm. Will definitely not come back. Brisket and turkey were both dry. Brisket was burnt around the edges. Definitely not worth the price. Online they advertise a sandwich and fries for $12 but their in-store menu had it for almost $15. The ordering process was simple and the employees were polite. Good customer service. The sauce taste good and they gave me a lot which I appreciate. The fries tasted pretty good, but not good enough to want to go back. I did not get a picture of the turkey; but picture Thanksgiving turkey.. not sliced barbecue turkey. It wasn't the worse food but I'm shocked to see so many five star reviews. I'm starting to think people don't even eat the food before they type a review. For the price I paid, I was highly disappointed.
