I booked a trial with Lumiere (which was super easy to do and I changed the date about 10 times trying to coordinate with hair) and I was obsessed. I never felt like I had “too much” make up on but I also felt so beautiful. And lashes are included which is a bonus. Day of, Mayra and Aryana did an amazing job on all of our make-up and in a timely manner. And it lasted all day, lashes and all. The make up looked great on camera. Amy took the time to get to know me, my skin, my skin goals, y'all, I CRIED to her, she was very easy to talk to and I felt like I could trust her from the get-go. I have been getting Brazilians for at least 7 years now and I have had my fair share of wax artists across the spectrum; but even the best can not touch the level Amy is at! I am sensitive and nervous by nature so I flinch very easily and never truly felt as ease while getting a wax always anticipating the next “rip”. Amy’s technique and amazing products where so easy on my skin that I didn’t feel like letting out an F-bomb not once during our session! Even though I got it as a stand alone service instead of adding it on to a facial, she still did steam, a couple extractions, and a relaxing facial cleanse. After the dermaplaning my face is so smooth and my makeup glides on so well. Emma the owner is very knowledgeable and listens to all your concerns before giving you a facial. I was surprised to know how much she knows about acne and gives solid research based advice. This place is amazing and relaxing. I'd recommend it to anyone!

She recommends what she thinks will benefit you the most without pushing you to do something you're not comfortable with. I have a wedding coming up in 2 months, and while she admitted I should have started getting facials a bit earlier, she explained a plan we could do between now and then that would still get me the results I am looking for. I did a level 1 organic fruit and glycolic peel, and was a bit nervous because I had never had a facial. Emma was right, I did not react poorly, and my skin has been glowing for the past week! I did not break out or get red and peely afterwards. Emma says she's been in the industry for nearly a decade, and her experience really shows. She knows what she's doing. I will definitely be returning.

Emma informed me about common misconceptions about over the counter beauty products without pressuring me to purchase anything.Once in the private procedure room I was made to feel very at ease by both Emma's demeanor and the soothing, fragrant atmosphere. I was left to get ready and asked to take whatever time I needed.I opted for the Organic Oleander facial. I felt a little nervous - having never had a facial before, but again Emma's calm professionalism put me at ease. She quietly explained what each step was before she began and I was encouraged to ask any questions throughout the process.The product line used, Image Skincare, smelled amazing and felt immediately soothing, and the warm, moist, herbal infused facial wraps made me feel so pampered.The one thought that ran through my mind as I experienced my first facial (when.I wasn't drowsing) was that Emma was doing an amazing job. Her skill level engendered almost immediate trust in her abilities and made the process that much more amazing.Though this was my first facial it will not be my last at Oleander.Thank you Emma!!!Supplemental:I went back to see Emma for a Signature Lift and could not be happier with the results! Emma instructed me on exactly how to care for my skin in the days immediately after the lift and now I look ten years younger. The texture, tone and brightness of my skin has been hugely improved. The Image Skincare after care kit I received is amazing. I will now go back every three weeks for a total of five treatments (I think) to achieve the best results, but if my skin looks this good now I am ecstatic to see the end result.I will never again balk at the idea of seeing an aesthetician. I now see it as an integral component to healthy aging. Emma is teaching me how to care for my skin - something I think the majority of men need desperately.

amanda long: While I usually see Sara for a quick brow wax (in and out, and perfect every time), her facials are where it's at (for me, anyway.) Whenever a friend is looking for an esthetician, I tell them about her "magic hands". I don't know what she does during that hour, but it is pure relaxation, and I am always left with the absolute cleanest face ever. Her space is beautiful, airy and cozy at the same time. She's an absolute gem in KC.
Jillian Carlile: Sara is absolutely wonderful. I go to her for waxing and she always works quickly and does a fantastic job. I wouldn't go to anyone else!
