Lisa Gelburt: Visiting from out of town, this was one place on our short list of must check outs. VERY trendy, which as dive bar kids is different for us, but we wanted to check it out anyway. Kind of confusing since when you walk up it looks like you’re at Outpost Social Club (which is connected and basically the front bar) but the kind door person directed us to the back part, which is Panthers Place. Multiple pockets to hang out, starting with a little air stream mobile home with a fake lawn and chairs, then leading to a few spots that have an outdoor vibe while still being mostly enclosed. Lots of plants and lights and like a cozy backyard vibe. We got there late on a Saturday, around 11, so it wasn’t too crowded and easily found a place to sit with great ambiance, but I can see a Friday Saturday before 10 being pretty packed. We got the cucumber cocktail which was DELICIOUS but unfortunately they were out of the ingredients in the back bar and the bartender was SO NICE to go to the other bar to make it for us, which we appreciated (and tipped lots as thanks!) so so much, but that meant we felt to guilty to ask for a second one. We just got a Tito soda instead, and the second bartender was also very nice. Overall a fun place, kind people, and lots of cute/cool photo spots if you’re into that sort of thing. Glad we checked it off the list!

Hannah Varney: this is my favorite gem of KC. One of the most unique places to grab a drink, they have fun menu and outdoor-overgrown-plant aesthetic you won’t find anywhere else. We bring every friend from out of town here, and it never fails to impress. Horsefeather is fantastic, as is the aperol spritz and margaritas (tbh you can’t go wrong with any of them, but these are our faves)

With outdoor areas and awesome plant and rustic decor makes you feel like you're at a little getaway. Don't shy away from the food or hand crafted cocktails as they are better than the next. Fluffy pretzels to delectable pizzas, this place doesn't miss the mark on any avenues. If you are looking for something unique and fun this place is your local hangout and chat spot.

Dan Watkins: Julep has great cocktails and an extensive whiskey selection. I have had nothing but good experiences here, and am hopeful that it finds a way to persist in some form.I recommend their Sazerac, Old Fashioned, or Mint Juleps.

I used go here every week before I moved few years ago. I loved this place before and it makes me sad. I really hope they manage this place to improve.
Kaleb Young: Drinks were good but the service definitely left something to be desired. We waited 15 min, in an empty back room, before someone came by to take our order. Then had to wait another 20 min to get the check once our drinks were empty to get the check. We paid a large deposit for a reservation but we’re never told it was going to a charity instead of going to the tab. Which would’ve been fine if we had we been told beforehand but it felt misleading. I’ve had a good time at Julep in the past but recently it seems to have been on a downward trend.
Stephanie Simms: Made a reservation for the Halloween pop up, and it wasn't actually ready. Pretty disappointing that nothing mentioned it wasn't actually ready yet, and we were seated in the regular bar with some decorations on the table. We were seated at 5:45 and it seemed like our server intentionally didn't come by to take drink orders until after happy hour had ended.Drinks were fine. Small, and not particularly exciting. Seemed overpriced for what we received (especially the bar mix). The drink pictured was $26 to serve 2 and it filled those rocks glasses about 1/3. This will teach me not to be sucked in by a gimmick.Otherwise a very nice bar.

Holly Welsh: Beware of hidden fees. Our group of fourteen made a reservation for happy hour at 4:30 on a Wednesday. When we arrived, there were three patrons and a single employee sitting at the bar. We were instructed to sit wherever we would like. We pushed tables together at the far end of the restaurant and enjoyed our cocktails. Apparently, our reservation and our own efforts moving together tables warranted a 10% “coordination fee”. Ridiculous.

Jon Twibell: Don't let the dive bar vibe fool you about the food, it is top notch. Fun atmosphere if you like a classier dive bar. Fun options like a beer slot machine (random beer for cheap). Servers have always been really great here. Another go to for me.Side note, if you are gluten free don't come hungry. You will probably leave hungry too.

We were shopping at Planters Seeds and were choosing between KC Taco and a never eaten at restaraunt . We very much like KC Taco, but Harrys got the win.I was surprised to see Very Little Country Club Beer Stuff visible inside , their logo was pretty much it . We picked a table outside and were immediately greated by a smiling but "short" waitress . ( my described her as disinterested or "put out") . I tried to make light conversation and she would have None of it . I ordered a beer with my sandwich and it never came. I went in to the bar and she was laughing with bartender and (manager?) ( so being " too busy" was not her issue ).One of the two men immediately brought out the beer in a 3.00 extra special NFL Draft cup which we had declined earlier . We asked it be taken off , but she took the itemized bill and I couldnt tell if she did or not.I paid the full bill, but this the first time I have not tipped in many, many years.My wife said that she was not impressed with the food, I was happier than she.

Emily Sopchak: Wow! Just WOW with these cocktails. Super unique and absolutely delicious. We just had to keep trying what they had to offer! If you like gin they have amazing infused gins and really complex recipes which just bring out all the flavors. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SPOT!

Frank Sibs: It was super funny. We walk in this place coming straight from a steakhouse that we spent $400 at dinner on. We ask for a Seagram's 77. We ask for an Old Fashioned with some basil Hayden's whiskey. They don't have either of those which is not a problem but the bartender said if we're looking for a dive bar we can go down the street lol. So we did. Worst service ever. Talk about a sense of entitlement. Owners should secret shop this place.

They only had QR code menus and it was too dark for my phone to scan it. The layout of the space was not great because the band is right at the entrance so only a couple tables can see the band the rest are too far away. Yes the live music is nice but the aesthetic of the room was not my style and it made it difficult for me to stay and enjoy it.

Kayla Jones-White: There was a black male bartender with pink hair who falsely accused my family and I of attempting not to pay our tab. I spoke to the Manager and he ultimately allowed us to stay in the establishment but the ordeal was humiliating. Especially considering we were coherent, and tipped will the entire night and paid our bills promptly. This is a night club that I frequent, but the manner in which I was treated by the black male bartender with pink hair was completely unacceptable and unwarranted.
Laneé Stro: I went to Ale House for Memorial Day weekend with my family to commemorate my late grandmother and a Black male bartender with pink hair accused my family and I of not paying for a tab. We eagerly tried to show him the invoice via bank statements on a phone, but he refused to service us and ordered security to remove us from the establishment. I have never been treated so poorly for something I didn’t do - and when we attempted to calmly explain ourselves we were accused of arguing. My cousin did talk to the manager who ultimately did say we could stay in the bar, but we were so humiliated that we just left.

THEN they have the nerve to still charge $20+ right at open.The manager is very unprofessional & rude . My issue is: A Sports bar should mean no Justin Bieber, sad songs, etc etc etc. If I could find the DJ or whoever that thinks it’s appropriate to blare cheesy music during football Sunday I’d slap them on the hand and say cut it out. Haha. Set the mood for sports REGARDLESS the team. Save your money on the DJ; it isn’t needed for football. Just my priceless two cents. Haha.

3 day spoiled milk left on the sofa: Me and my friends came here for my friends 21st birthday no problems at all and enjoyed it quite a bit. Came here again after recommending it to a friend and the same bartender that served us on the night of my friends 21st, took my friends LEGAL government issued I.D. looked at it for at least 2 minutes and said “sorry I’m not taking that I can’t serve you guys” and wouldn’t even look at the rest of our I.D.s. Don’t waste your time coming here if you’re younger. Clearly they don’t want your business.

Not only is it a block away from where I'm staying, but this bar has such a homey, small-town feel that you can't get anywhere else in town.From my understanding it's ran by and older couple and they're the bartenders.It's awesome to see someone take so much pride and happiness in their work.It is a Cash Only bar; Dont let that be the reason to skip out.

Paul Marshall: Great little bar, pool table, juke box, friendly staff and the regulars there were all welcoming. I would recommend ordering the 'mini beer' shots, very nice indeed! Cash only, but they do have an ATM inside. Had a great few hours there.

Tanner Barnes: Close-knit experience. You feel like family right when you walk in. Know what you like at the minimum and the staff will take it from there. If you want to feel at home, this is the place to go.
