Royce Shields: Upon arrival the place was really nice. Once seated we placed our orders. We waited about 45 mins before getting the two appetizers that were ordered. After about another 20 mins or so the waitress approached the table and informed us that she placed the order incorrectly(Unfortunately she didn’t provide us a name so can’t exactly who she was) but when asked about how long it would be before the food would come, she stated “well you ordered 3 steaks, rolled her eyes and walked off”(mind you all the steaks were 6oz) she also brought me a child’s orange juice and when she returned for refills I asked for more juice and she stated “well they said they ran out of juice”, as if that’s my fault. She could have said this and I could have ordered something else! We then we asked for a manager and asked the same about time frame on receiving food, because now we’ve waited over an hour, and with no response. He then stated “you did order steaks and your orders all needed extra accommodations, but not going to go back and forth with you we are working on getting it out to you, it’s only been placed 20 mins ago and walked off”…I am a manager myself and never would treat guest in this manner we then as a party of 9 decided to leave. It was very clear that other tables were a priority over others, but even as nice as the place displayed its self to be, we will not return to this location. There were guest that arrived after us and who spoke to us outside of the restaurant as they waited for the rest of their party, they got in received food and was leaving within the time of us asking about receiving our order. Ruined the birthday girls day for sure, currently looking for another place to eat. Worst visit ever!!!!
Lovey Carvin: My family of (9) went here for brunch and celebrating a birthday, while we arrived @ 1130 for our reservation was promptly seated at 1139(no problem) however once seated the sever(which I don’t recall her name) took almost 20mins to greet us! Took our drink orders took a while returning with drinks, promptly after we placed our food order roughly 12:15, waited patiently server returned to our table @ 12:40 stating it was a mishaps between her putting in the order & the kitchen staff! Never apologized for the mess up! I then approached the manager adv him of the issue.He begin to tell me we ordered steaks and etc, mindful of that however the fact the serve & manager both responded w/attitude’s & unprofessional mannerUNACCEPTABLE, clear to see In the environment was prioritized by color. A family bigger then our party arrived and was seated same time as our party & was leaving and served when we decided to leave the establishment.Sadden first time here and will never return

Hannah Taylor: We met some family here for brunch a few weeks back and it was really disappointing. I had been looking forward to it for a very long time and heard great things. Our service was okay and the place was beautiful but there was long periods in between being checked on and the food was extremely underwhelming. I got the diablo and it was okay but wasn't really spicy nor had a lot of flavor and my boyfriend's french toast looked unappetizing. Definitely not worth the $70+ I spent on the two of us... Maybe we should have come for dinner instead.

Nicholas “Nick” Klotz: My fraternity just had an event at the Fall and I can confidently say it was one of our best events to date. This is because of the staff at Alehouse and The Fall. The Fall is the perfect space for pictures and we couldn't have asked for anything better but the difference between another event was the staff. They were extremely kind and friendly and pulled me aside many times to make sure everything was going perfectly. The managers on duty kept asking me if we wanted to change music or whether we wanted food to keep coming out. The bartenders and servers were also some of the nicest people I have ever met and catered to our every need. Even the Event Planner was constantly checking in and making sure we were all set for the event and worked with me to figure out every aspect of the event. We could not be more grateful for our experience at The Fall. If you are not sold on the event space I can tell you the staff will make sure that this will be an event of a lifetime.

Mo Zeyadich (MoZy): Had the Mad Hatter area in VIP reserved for a birthday party. The bottle service was great and the wait staff were very nice and helpful. I can not stress enough that the service was exceptional.HOWEVER, the attached bar, Ale house is terrible and security appears to be shared, so I'm leaving this review here as well.One of the members of our party went outside to get some air, and was refused re-entry by security. He was probably hammered so that's not terrible I guess. But he was upset at being refused re-entry for no reason.Later that same night, security came into the VIP are and attempted to shake one of the party members that had too much to drink and was resting her head. This unnecessary physical interaction was followed by the remainder of the party being forcibly removed from the location by security.All of this could have been avoided if security had any people skills, or would have simply communicated effectively. Unfortunately it's clear that they do not care for their customers or their customers safety. After spending $700 I would have expected to be treated with some respect.For these reasons I will not be returning, and I would recommend everyone take their business elsewhere.Very disappointed with this experience

The DJ y’all had for NYE was so trash it’s unbelievable. Like…. Dude lost his whole crowd at 12:15. His song he played at 12:01 was UNWRITTEN by Natasha B. I’m not making this up. Gimme a bible and I’ll stand in front of a jury of my peers. Dude was playin music like we was at High School Prom in the 2010s. There wasn’t a single new club banger. No new hip hop, no EDM…. but he did play NeYo and Like a G6…so….. I mean at one point in time someone complained to him and he said “YOU DONT HAVE TO BE HERE BRO! THROW HIM OUT!” but at least the dude complaining got him to change the song from Low (flo rida) to Hips Don’t Lie. I don’t remember the DJ name or else I’d tag him… but the music selection was hot garbage juice in July in the middle of Phoenix Arizona.. honestly I think the music selection gave my homie Covid.Anyways, y’all’s place is cool.. service and drinks and ambiance are always good but that DJ was bad.. bad bad bad. I literally created this account just to write a review about it. Y’all get 5 stars…. He gets like 1? Idk.
Anthony Bonino: Very very cool place! Great Bartenders! The only thing is it got jam packed with so many people you couldn't move. It got to a point we (group of 6) had to get out of there because the crowd was pushing people around like the beginning of a mosh pit.Not sure what the capacity was but it might have been a tad over that

The private rooms are amazing, you have comfy couches and its perfect for people watching. The staff was so kind. I definitely will come back. I cannot put into words how much I adore this place.

chelsea weiser: I have had multiple friends tag me in The Fall’s online posts saying “it’s so you” “you need to check it out” so I finally did. touring the place for the first time - you can really see all the effort that went into creating this atmosphere. It’s so unique! It really comes alive later in the night. Everyone is extremely friendly and overall it’s the perfect place to go to impress your friends and have a memorable night.

Shiona Deliozar: We had our company Christmas party here with a large group of 15 and the setting was perfect for Christmas. The cabins and igloos outside were decorated so festively and the service was great throughout. I really enjoyed their chips and meatballs and their holiday cocktails with all the fun names. The views were really pretty at night with the fire on the deck. Felt cozy and was. The service was great throughout.
Luke Payne: This place used to be great but as of a few moments ago it is one of only two restaurants I've walked out of. We sat for over 30 minutes waiting on appetizers and the only time anyone came to check up was when he thought he was at a different table. We couldn't get a second round of drinks and had to chase him down for the original order. Slwe we're also one of only 3 tables seated in the dining room. So sad to see a place fall apart like this....... Original Review........Really enjoyed this place. Great service. Great food. Fun cocktails. Good view.

My husband's dirty martini was served in a PLASTIC rocks glass... even though I saw they had martini glasses....and no we weren't out by the pool.. we were in the upper level on a couch. Also, do not order a spicy margarita. Thank goodness I asked how they are prepared...I guess they ran out of jalapeños so they are using tobacco sauce 🤮... if you don't have the ingredients.... just don't offer it. For an up scale bar you would think they would serve their drinks in actual glasses and not plastic.. even the beer was served in a disposable solo cup.

She was very thoughtful making sure we enjoyed our visit.The Chef brought the food to our table and explained what each dish was that he prepared. The Manager brought the dessert to our table. Manager was distant and somewhat non-communitive compared to most managers we come in contact with. When I asked a question concerning the dessert he wasn't very pleasant as if he was too busy and didn't want to talk at all. There were no other quest. Poor customer service and example for his employees. I will go back due to the waitress great service.
Jennifer Johnson: My boyfriend and I visited this bar on a Saturday night. The whole place was packed and they only had one waitress working. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks and ended up getting frustrated so we’d go get our own drinks from the bar. The service was absolutely unacceptable. Considering how classy this hotel is, I expected a better bar experience. I am very disappointed.

No food at this venue, but allowed to bring in food from other places within the Power & Light district. Very good after-party location to continue an evening after a T-Mobile Center (formerly Sprint Center) event. Very close to the free trolley stop as well.

Sean Pridgeon: We went to have dinner with friends in the jazz club. We had a great experience at the main bar and cigar club, but our waiter in the jazz lounge was smug and condescending. He spent as little amount of time as possible at our table, drug his tie through our food while serving it, spilled cocktails on my friends, and made smug remarks while at the table. It’s a shame that one person can be so far off the standard of the rest of the staff.

We had lots of appetizers, Hummus was good, and it had a creative display. Goat cheese pizza is yummy. Tostada's were cute, and tasty. Perhaps a larger chip under them. Flatbread was ok. Mussels are just ok. Just not a lot of flavor to them. But overall, really good food. I will definitely return and definitely recommend it. Wine selection ok.

Madison Courtney: My partner and I dined at Cafe Trio Monday evening and were delighted to discover that Mondays are all day happy hour! The delights didn't stop there -- the patio was perfectly sheltered from the evening sun and the food was amazing (the tomato soup might be the best in KC). However, the service is what truly stood out. Our server, Richard, was the most attentive and friendly server we're experienced in a long time. We'll definitely be going back.

The tomato soup was AMAZING, and the butter cake was delicious.What really stood out was their service— the gentleman waiting our table last night was so on top of it. Quick refills, checking in on us, and super friendly. His service was the best we’ve had in probably a year, and it stood out as the highlight of the place.

David Duran: Tried to get upstairs, which seem like where all the money went to as far as ambiance, but it was packed.We settled for down stairs which looked unfinished. It had good bones but the budget ran out.Service was ok. Servers had zero energy Food was ok. The fries def been sitting for a while. Kids Mac was microwave warmed Kraft.Great photos online but the reality is very lack luster.Parking: Parking lot serves a number of business. 1st come 1st served.
Cherrelle Crawford: We came here for Mothers Day brunch and I was truly disappointed. There wasn’t much of a selection on the buffet. No waffles, pancakes or crepes of any kind. The potato’s were cold and the only thing that I really enjoyed was the omelette station. At first the waitress seemed nice but you could tell he was overwhelmed because we would have to keep reminding her about drinks, she messed up our bills.

Patrick Walker: A nice, updated take on the typical schnitzel and sausage fare you typically find in German restaurants. The brat trio was delicately flavored and nicely sauced. Preferable to the seafood risotto dish, which was competently executed, but nothing beyond what you’d find in another good local restaurant. The Painted Table dessert was remarkable in sweet flavors and in flame-illuminated presentation. Truly unique.
Jess Len: WOW. WOW. WOW. Enough said! Wow! The food was amazing! Came here on a Saturday evening as a lovely double date night and we were all so impressed! Everything was perfect, the food, the service, the drinks, the atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for the BEST German food! Thank you for such a great experience and I cannot wait to come back and have some more!

Brit Ann: Truly a treat to go to Affare. You definitely don't get the chain vibe from this place that even some of the more high end places give off around KC which is nice. Service was amazing and the food was great. High quality ingredients with mixtures of flavors that you don't expect and they still somehow taste amazing together. We got the Hummer Poutine, Risotto von Meeresfruchten, and Jakobsmuscheln mit Entenleber. It all was so good - loved the seafood. I'd probably go for a lighter starter next time but we were curious about lobster poutine.

Woodsie Woods: First time and it was great. Ordered off their new seasonal “white asparagus” menu. The white asparagus soup had a nice deep flavor but was a tad too salty. I was very excited to see morel mushrooms on the menu with the white asparagus and morel mushroom spatzle. This dish had a nice sherry cream sauce, however it overpowered the delicate flavor of the morel mushrooms. Overall pleased with the quality, especially with these recipes being a fairly new addition.
Racheal Soendker: Truly one of the best restaurants in KC. Make a reservation to ensure you can be seated. Especially on the weekends. This is not a place to go if you are I'm a rush. They know how to time the dishes so you are sure to be finished with appetizers before the next course is brought out. They give you time to enjoy each course. If you choose to do a bottle of wine, the server is good about coming back to pour it timely. And the food is amazing. If you can, make sure you get there in the spring for the white asparagus menu. I've been there multiple times and have never been disappointed.

Shiona Deliozar: The service was excellent and the staff was really awesome and attentive. We thought the tasting menu itself was pretty average for the price. Everything tasted fresh but kind of lackluster, especially the apps and dessert and the Black Forest cake didn’t really have the layer of cherries like it’s supposed to. Still happy to try the place out with my hubby for my birthday dinner. We spent around $150 and left very full and satisfied.

Eunice P: The tartar was very yummy though a bit too salty. The veal schnitzel was dry, overdone, and a bit bland and the condiments and cucumber salad too sour. The beef roulade was like fancy meat loaf and tasted okay. The cabbage was delicious, but, again, a bit on the sour side considering it took up the majority of the plate. The drinks, vibe, and service were fantastic. I would have rated this a 4/5 but one of our party had stomach issues after eating the beef roulade and cabbage. I may give this place another try, but probably not for a while.
