Bloom Baking Company: what do users think?
Puddlemom Pool: In search of a croissant locally that would compare with those in Paris. This is not it. 1st, what would cost between $1.20-$2.80 in Paris Bloom charged $4 and it was 2/3 of the size.It was a nice flaky layers, but it didn't taste buttery and certainly not worth the steep price. Also, had the $5 chocolate croissant and it also was smaller size and only had one bar of chocolate. The chocolate was tasty and good quality, but for $5 it should have been larger and had more chocolate.
Matthew Trowbridge: There's apple and cherry Danish are the best I've ever had. A must place to stop by at the river market.
A Hitchcock: I needed to take some treats to a very good customer of mine. The place I originally picked did not open until 11:00 am. I saw that Bloom Baking Co. opened up early, so I took a chance and drove across KC. to get there. It's a small place, but had what I wanted. The lady behind the counter was more than willing to put together a couple of boxes filled with Brownies, chocolate chunk, oatmeal-rasin, peanut-butter cookies, and peanut butter bars. Yes, it was on the expensive side, but my customer was very impressed. I can't tell you how they tasted, but they all looked amazing. I will buy from them again, but will call in advance to make it easier for them. They were very friendly.
Shay R: Updating review: the past few times I've gone they have really improved how much they are putting on it. The macaroons are simply amazing as well. I love supporting this local bakery!Old: I have eaten from this bakery multiple times. The first time was amazing but the last few times they have put almost no chicken salad on the croissant. I will say that the small amount they do put on is very delicious but for a ten dollar sandwich it's not worth it.
Andrea Kalish: You know how chocolate croissants never contain enough chocolate? Well that doesn't apply to Bloom's chocolate croissants. Their croissant has a thick bar of chocolate in it. It is absolutely heavenly!
Ryan Sanders: I don't ever write reviews, but hopefully I can save someone else some trouble and money. I've been all over the country and this is the most expensive while at the same time worst quality bakery I've ever been too. I do want to say the Employee was super helpful and pleasant though
Two Dogs Biology: Bought a cinnamon roll @ city market location yesterday. It was the best we've ever had on our travels across the US. It was light, not overly sweet, and noticeably high quality. Wish we would have gotten two!!!!
Bonnie W: Delish and fresh bakery goods
Brooke Young: Best brownies ever, I would share a picture but i already ate it.
Edward Jones II: Had this cookie in the KCI Terminal, this was a really moist and tasty cookie. I grabbed the oatmeal raisin my favorite type of cookie. They did not let me down.
Afsaneh M: Too pricey for these pastries and other stuff they sell. They are good but not mind-blowing fantastic for these prices. Lower your prices and you will have a more successful business :)
Nong Ch.: Bread pudding is very good. Butter Croissants are also great. The service is very friendly. I would definitely go back to Bloom if I am in the area.
Shelley F: Wonderful assortment of breads, sweet treats, coffees, teas, and lunch menu. We had a vanilla macaron, peanut butter bar, chocolate croissant, and an iced chai. A bit pricey…inflation, right?
Lindsey Leardi: We felt so silly running all over Kansas City tasting cakes when Bloom was right around the corner from us the whole time! As beautiful as it was delicious, our 2-tiered wedding cake & dessert bar was conceptualized & baked by Bloom Baking Company. Our dessert bar included: mini tarts, macarons, brownies & lemon bars. Cake tastings are $25 & goes towards the price of the cake. After inquiring online & our tasting, Sarah quickly set-up an in-person meeting to review our ideas, make suggestions & put together an invoice. Sarah & her team were incredibly thoughtful & considerate of both our desires & budget. Thank you Bloom Baking Company for creating such a delightful dessert experience for us & our guests. Not a bite went to waste! Our only regret is not ordering more! Looking forward to the next time I can taste Bloom!
Laura C: Yummy yummy! Delicious and takes custom orders for king cakes!
Sam Hagan: Can’t say enough positive things about Bloom! The owner is fantastic to work with, and their foods are delectable! 5 stars all around.
Delaney Lange: A wonderful stop on our 5th wedding anniversary! I had my first ever macron here years ago during one of my best friends bachelorette trips! We had to grab some. They were delightful! The lemon poppyseed & the lavender are sooo good
Tim Kim: Best of the best!
Brian Tompkins: Fantastic panini melts for lunch!
Audrey Marie: Best almond croissant I’ve had since I went to Europe!
Zahra Afzal Khan Tanoli: They advertise same day delivery, but they don't say it's only for weddings. I wasted a lot of time waiting to reach them for a special birthday cake, as they advertise same day cake delivery, but it is not true. No same day cake and no same day delivery. So hurt!

Ibis Bakery: what do users think?
Aris Afghanzada: The almond croissants 🔥 and pls bring back the sesame loaf!
Kimberly A: The best bakery in Kansas City. I had this pastry pictured below i couldn't pronounce. It's about the best damn thing I've ever eaten. Buttery deliciousness. I've also had their cinnamon rolls, bear claw, and orchard bread which are all terrific Call ahead and reserve what you want or go early.
Abby Oyesam: Kelly was very helpful and knowledgeable of the bread types and varieties
Nancy Hake: What a gem in the heart of West Side KC! It is a must when you are an early riser on weekends. Service is fast and with a smile. There are many other items for sale other than bake goods.
Ania Elizabeth Carr: Lovely.
Chen Jan: Best bakery in middle part of America! I Ake bread and pastry at home, so I can tell they really love and try to make something special and different. Earl grey bun is full of flavor. The seasonal filling croissant, instead of cream cheese filling, which is the most common filling is America, is filled with lemon flavored custard. And Kouign aman, tastes kind of like the famous cronut of Dominique in NYC. Ciabatta is perfect, crispy skin and moisture inside. With those charming holes, it’s been rising for a long time. The service is also perfect and sweet. Will absolutely be back when I am in KC.
Laura Vescovi: Beautiful delicious and health bread!
Michael Jarboe: Amazing bakery! Really can’t go wrong with anything in there. An absolute must try!
Karissa Schatz: Amazing breads and pastries and very friendly staff. Love, love, love!!
Travis Dahle: Cute place, great food and wonderful staff!
Rachel Strom-Norris: Rating on the food: 5/5. As my family and I travel the world, we always search for the best food. I would rate this one in the top 3 my husband and I have ever had. We will absolutely stop by again when we are in the area!Plan to pick up and go. There are very few seats and the bathroom was clean and served it's purpose, but tiny and uninviting. There is not room to change a diaper in there and my toddler and I had to do a crazy little dance so that there was room for us to be in there together.
Nicki Muhawi: What a great bakery! Picked up a few goodies and my mom and I took bites of before I took pictures 😂 Everything was delicious!
Nathaniel Gempesaw-Pangan: Friendly staff. High quality baked products. Get there early to make your selection before they sell out!
Jesse S: The cheese slipper here is so good. We discovered this place on a whim while visiting from out of town. This will be a must stop for us every time we visit KC.
Anne S: They have the best bread and the best staff ever! The cheese slipper is personally my favorite from the menu. It is definitely precious cargo. If you really want a specific item I would call a day or so before and place an order for pickup. They sell out very fast. If you don't pre-order I would recommend getting there as soon as they open.
Dianne Keech: What a wonderful gem. If you want the highest quality and best tasting fresh bread, this is your bakery. It reminds me of Europe. Thank you, Fevere for your great customer service too.
Ale O: Great bread. Get the cheese slipper.
e creative: Best bakery anywhere. From the loaves, like Grain Travel loaf which is Oh my God! so hearty, tasty, chunky, to the delicious Cranberry Walnut Pan Loaf, to the flaky, so almondy bear claw, the only way all bear claws should me made. Not to mention ever friendly and knowledgeable shop owners/staff, always answering all questions5 star all around.❤
Jeremiah Tylski: I decided to go here because my usual doughnut shop was closed. I got here at 10:30, and it’s very obvious why he was almost out of bread. The cheese slipper is an absolute must - we couldn’t stop eating it at home! His base bread recipe is fantastically delicious! So of course adding cheese just made it that much better.I also got the last pan of cinnamon rolls, and wow! They were moist all the way through and the flavor was amazing.Lastly, a friendly smile and customer-centric attitude always tops things off. Fervere is now a staple for our family, so thanks so much for the amazing breads!
Andrea Duloc: My husband is French. He loves this bread. I think that’s all you need to know. Or maybe you want to know our favorite- the Heirloom Polenta. Pastries are great too. They have limited hours, and supply (they sell out! Understandably)- so plan well, and maybe even call ahead.
N T: too good... literally everything is tasty!!! 10/10

McLain's Bakery: what do users think?
Kelsey Oviedo: I’ve never had anything I didn’t like from McLains. The Market Wrap is 10/10 and my absolute favorite. Super friendly and efficient staff.
Ana Chavarria: Good vibe. It is my first time getting Matcha Latte and I couldn't taste anything... I had to put stevia to at least feel that I was drinking sweet cold milk. Salmon toast was ok but nothing impressive. Chocolate cookie had a good texture. I had a good time while having breakfast and reading. They have a good seating area. So overall it is ok, I was not impressed with the food. Maybe I'll come back to try something else.
Audrey Kuhn: Usually love this place but as someone with food allergies, I wish they would change ingredients on menu when they update items. I can’t eat onions and usually their chicken salad doesn’t have onions but I just ordered it (I’ve had in hundreds of times before ) and it has onions all over it. That ingredient isn’t on their ingredient list for it.
Emily Frank: In town for a week for business. Literally went every morning for breakfast and every afternoon for lunch! Absolutely delicious!! Friendly people, cute atmosphere, and great selection of awesome food!! Wish I lived in Kamsas City just for this place ❤️
Manny Cáceres: Great experience. The food and coffee were very good and the variety of pastry is awesome, the staff extremely nice and helpful, and the place is very nice as well, specially the outdoors sitting area. We will definitely be coming back.
Rhonda Dolan: Excellent food, baked goods, cakes and coffee. Always a good experience.
John LaRoe: For breakfast: the Pepper Jack burrito (which is spicy) or the Plain & Simple (bacon & eggs on toast & not spicy).Top it off with a chocolate croissant or fruit Danish. Also highly recommended: the coffee cakes, great pick for quick to-go desserts.(update, 24 May 2023:)Every bit as good as ever in their reconfigured, more comfortable space. The coffee may even be better (and it's always been good).Had the Plain & Simple & a Blueberry Danish this morning. Great stuff!
trini nl: Cutest little spot! Matcha latte could have been warmer. Service was great.
John Guzmán: Excellent food and service, the salad was generous and delicious, you can't beat fresh bread.
Karen Gleason: Ordered 5 different combinations of cupcakes and frosting for our wedding. All were delicious and the staff was great to work with! Highly recommend them!
Ping Robert (黃苹): Good food and ambience. I wanna come here during non peak hours.
CDub 1962: We love McClains. Been going there for over 30 years! All of their danishes are the same formula and as delicious as they were back when the McClains owned it. One thing that bothers me though is they always run out of sticky buns before 930 am and that's the way it's been ever since the new owners took over. That shouldn't happen. Simply make more of them so they last till 11 please. We will always keep buying their danishes because there is nothing like them anywhere.
Norris Laffitte: Delicious fresh food. Good service.
Andrew Jones: Great food, great coffee, great atmosphere.
kurt anderson: Excellent selection. Don't come if you're on a diet, you never make it out
Jennifer Kallias: DELECTABLE pastries!!! Go early to get the best selection.
Gerry Lynn: We ordered a chocolate croissant, a lemon blueberry scone and a raspberry danish. They were all good, especially my personal favorite chocolate croissant. Would definitely go again the next time we're in town!
Zoë: The food, atmosphere, and sweets are one of the bests in all of KC!!! This Mocha Cupcake was literally the best cupcake I have ever had!
Brenda Bigbee: So much in pastries and cakes.😁
Paige Rausch: Best breakfast burritos, amazing quiches, and the brown sugar pop tart is to die for. Staff is friendly and welcoming, they even know my name because I go so frequently!
Rino Sbriglia: One of the best birthday‘s cake we have had for our son! Impressive. Whomever worked on the cake did an awesome job. So happy, we’ll definitely repeat next year (hopefully with another theme)… thank you

Cupcake A La Mode: what do users think?
Ankita Bhattarai: Big, yummy and affordable cupcakes. not too sweet and perfectly presented. Love this place.
KP KC: Super cute little bakery with absolutely divine cupcakes! The coconut and cannoli are to die for!
Jeremy Rucker: Awesome! Nuff said
hallee kent: Customer service Could be a lot better!
Robin Jones: This review is not about the cupcakes themselves. I don't know how they taste. They may be delicious. However, my family and I didn't get a chance to try them. We took a trip to the plaza to see the lights and get dessert from Cupcake A La Mode, checking to see what time they closed first. When we arrived at 8:30 we were surprised to find the door locked and the woman inside not reacting to our efforts to come in since they weren't supposed to close for another 1/2 hour. Very poor business practices which means they lost this customer.Edit: You might want to reflect the winter hours on your website then.
Justin: kind and friendly. my mom is spending her birthday at st lukes hospital and i got her a few cupcakes. the lady was so kind when i told her I almost started crying. it only takes a little bit of compassion to make a difference in the world
Arianna Middlebrook: Worst sense of customer service at this location. You’re much better off taking your money to their Lees Summit location. I ordered half a dozen cupcakes 5 days before the pick up date. They called me 30 mins before the pickup time to tell me they were “sold out” of the cupcake flavor I had put an order in for. They said they “sold out 3 days ago” but if that was the case then why not relay that info to your customer when it occurred? Knowing that there was already an order in place. When I asked why it was not communicated to me earlier, the employee said she had no idea about the order and that the manager, Jennifer oversees all of it. (Terrible communication all around I guess). When I asked for some form of compensation for the inconvenience the employee said “I don’t know why it’s a big deal when we have other flavors”.... not taking into consideration the food allergens that prevent me from ordering others which I had already informed them about. 0/10 service and I would not recommend placing orders here at all.
Lesa Gilbert: We purchased cupcakes at Cupcake A La Mode over the last five years, and we've always been happy with all of the cupcakes. This weekend, I purchased a dozen for a holiday gathering with several of the holiday flavors. we recommend the gingerbread and hot chocolate cupcakes.
Chloe Mann: Yummy cupcakes
Heather Arnhart: Great cupcakes and chocolate milk!! Even the icing is yummy and I'm not a huge fan of icing.
MJ Franklin: Most delicious cupcakes ever! The Butterbeer cupcake from Oct is my all time favorite, def hope it returns! I also order delivery sometimes and one time they were out of one of the flavors I ordered so they gave me two cupcakes free!! Amazing customer service!
Allie Caldwell: The salted caramel was amazing! Really loved their treats!
Erica Gallardo: You can never go wrong with this Cupcake absolutely Delicious!
Alex Weston: Delicious cupcakes of all kinds. Friendly staff! Thanks for being so wonderful!
Mary Williams: Delicious cupcakes but if you care about the integrity of your credit card information I wouldn’t order from them. I picked up cupcakes today to find an order form with my credit card number, code and expiration date listed - only thing missing were my DOB and mothers maiden name! Terrible business practice.
Fabiola Herdoiza: Wow...just got off the phone after trying to place an order online. When I was going to pay, a warning came up that it was not a secure form. They did give an option to call the Plaza store directly to pay. I called and was told the order hadn't come through and they were too busy to write it down and take it over the phone. I got a confirmation a few minutes later and called after half an hour. I was told they would call back in a way that did not make me feel like they valued me as a customer ..more like I was bothering them. It was a small order of only four cupcakes, but I don't think that should impact the quality of service. This woman was very unhelpful and bordering on rude She did call back and asked for my credit card number, expiration date, and security code. I was not comfortable giving my security code and asked why they didn't use a more secure form? She said, you are welcome to go somewhere else, because she hadno time for this.I am going somewhere else.I like their cupcakes but I will never order from them again because I don't like how I was treated...life is too short.
Alisha Stephan: I ordered three different kinds of these off Doordash and they were three of the best cupcakes that I have ever tried. The Golddigger was super moist and full of flavor, the wedding cake one of the most delicious cakes and frosting combo I have ever had together, and the other is Salty Carmella and OMG!!! I love to support local and this made it easy with how fresh and tastey these all were.
Maddie Hall: Order off doordash and this is how they arrived. Seriously?? No holders inside at all to secure them. I’ve been here many many times and this has never happened.Edit: emailed them and they haven’t responded.
Ebony Bernard: Walked in today, was PLEASANTLY greeted, she was kind, also gave me a RED VELVET cupcake omg, the FROSTING (Might I add, I do NOT eat frosting) was sooooo good. The cupcake was moist, delicious, and soft. I definitely will be back to take kids. Forgot to mention I was picking up a DD order, so her kindness meant the world to me. Definitely 5 star experience
Lily Norlin: Helped by the general manager, so sweet and helpful. Great service and delicious cupcakes, the best in KC!
K'Lyn Hardy: Had bought 2 “Gold-Diggers” cupcakes from here for Mother’s Day; they were delicious and tasted JUST like a “German Chocolate Cake” just without the coconut. The icing can be a bit too sweet, but I’d definitely be back in the near future!

The Culinary Center of Kansas City: what do users think?
Michelle Saenz: I signed up for a class in June but I was able to attend the sooner class in May. There were 19 openings in the May class so I requested to transfer to that class. I received a voicemail advising me to sell my ticket for the June class and re-enroll in the May class. I called them back an Heather confirmed that this is my only option and they would not transfer my payment to another class. What???
Fear & Living: My friend registered for a sushi class and I registered for the wrong date. She called to switch her date to mine and they said ‘sell the ticket and take the money to buy a ticket for the other date.’ Just stupid, this place has gone downhill with their new policy. There’s 19 spots open in the date she is requesting. At least allow folks to transfer dates?
Kendra Moritz: Highly disappointed in their prioritization of policy over customer service. I purchased event tickets for 4 ($95 per ticket) and due to a death in the family, unable to attend. After speaking with the woman on the phone, she compared their ticket sales to those of the sprint center validating their inability to offer any type of change. Since I spoke with her a week prior to the event, I offered suggestions to see if they would be able to provide a portion or percentage of the ticket amount for us to come back at a later date and continue our relationship with this business (cover the expenses of our seats but show grace and desire to maintain my family as customers). She was beyond cold and made clear her annoyance with my unfortunate situation after I attempted to give my tickets away to friends, not having anyone able to go in our place.Policies should be put in place to support and protect a business, however, the best policies can do that while also maintaining a positive relationship with customers being a small, locally owned business. Beyond the outdated and blindly enforced policy, it is clear the woman on the phone needs training and support in customer service as the first (and sometimes only) individual someone interacts with.
Norene Gaines: If you have a passion for good food, learning how to cook better/easier or for cooking/kitchen tools & such, this is the place to go. Fun classes, pre cooked meals to go, kitchen boas & gadgets all in one spot & served with a sense of humor.
Angie Maggart: It's always a good time, and we learn a lot of fun new recipes
Richard Latham: Went here for a team building experience with work. The staff was friendly and it was overall a great experience. We did a mystery box, which did not come with clear directions, so I struggled. I'm the kind of cook that needs a recipe to follow. The team had a good time and I'd absolutely go again, maybe for a date night.
Nick Sandridge: Poor experience with Heather DeFeo Minor and a the KC Culinary Institute. I emailed Heather 48 hours ahead of our class to let her know I was interested in rescheduling due to a forecasted snowstorm. The snow came and roads were icy so my wife and I decided not to drive 40 minutes for the scheduled class as I was sure they’d be flexible with rescheduling. Boy was I wrong! Almost two weeks after my initial email to reschedule and having not gotten a response I called to speak with Heather where she was both rude and unhelpful, stating the cancellation policy was 72 hours not 48 regardless of weather conditions. She mentioned they were a small business struggling through the pandemic: I wonder if their struggle isn’t in part due to poor customer service and shortsighted business practices.
Facetime: Stopped in on a whim while visiting across the street. The people were friendly, the place was exceptionally clean, and it smelled amazing. One of my group will be going back for a cooking class in the future. Their selection of cookware was nicely curated, so if you need a serious kitchen tool, they will have it.
AdoredandChosen: Very hospitable environment! It was a Joy to be in the midst!
Tim Hayes: Great Pad Thai cooking class from Chef Jill
P Squared: I was visiting Overland Park from another state and bought several sets of general (non seasonal) coasters at this shop in mid-October. I changed my mind about a 3 of coasters (valued at $14) and called to ask if I could return them in late November when I'd be visiting again. The return policy states 30 days and my return would have been the 40-day mark. The woman answering the phone put me on hold and then came back and said, "No, absolutely not. We cannot do that." We are talking about new, unused, still in-the-package items. We are talking 10 days after the limit. Is business really so good (bad?) that a poor customer experience is worth Culinary Center of KC keeping their $14? What a disheartening experience.
Andrew Doerr: The cooking classes offered are a blast.
W. P.: Outstanding cooking experience for creative team building and eating a good lunch after!!!
Scott Archuletta: Unwilling to reschedule my class after I tested positive for Covid……complete waste of money, send yours elsewhere.
Jeff B: The wife and I enjoyed an interesting date night, and I would highly recommend this to any couples who are foodies and looking for a fun evening. Because we are foodies, it was somewhat difficult finding a class that featured cuisine we weren't familiar or very experienced with. But we made a great choice, and our chef, Gary, was the best. He answered every stupid question, honored every request, and even stuck around afterwards, shaking hands and thanking each attendee, and allowing time for some culinary conversation. The Culinary Center offered a free glass of wine or a beer as part of the class, and allowed time to wander their store. And, of course, the wife found a few unique kitchen items that needed to come home with us!
Terry Chartier: We had a group of 7 ladies who attended the Mexican Authentic Tamale's cooking class. It was amazing. We received a paper cook book with all the recipes, got to make 6 tamales to take home, had a free token for a drink (margarita (delicious), beer), had chips, black bean, and pico de gallo appetizer, and got to have a full meal of 2 tamales and Mexican rice. We had a blast. Well worth the price. Their shop is amazing also. We will definitely be back.
Sgarcia2864: Great atmosphere and service.
bill westerhouse: Had a great time in the knife skills class. Learned proper technique and new skills. Chef Richard assured us that with a sharp knife and proper technique we could cut onions without tears. I cried, so I still have more practice to do! Check out my strawberry fan in the Pic. 4/27/2022 - took the Chinese take out class, Chef Jill was phenomenal.
Bonita Fisher: My friend & I had a fun Girls Night Out! Carribean Getaway! Truly enjoyed the Pain Killer & learned some new cooking tips!

Heirloom Bakery & Hearth: what do users think?
Kim R: I’m so weary of poor customer service at places I love the food & coffee. What is the deal with the chip on your shoulder (to basically every counter person I’ve ever interacted with here)? Specifically, I ordered a drink one way and it came in another way, and they charged me to fix it 🙄 I’m sure a place that has such great food doesn’t have to worry about friendliness or fixing something like that - but making customers feel super welcome to be in your place is huge! It’s another layer of business value.
james schaefer: Excellent food, but decline in atmosphere and service. Went there on Father's day with the kids to encounter loud music that made it hard to have a conversation. I love 90's hip-hop, but blasting Baby Got Back in the morning isn't the atmosphere I personally enjoy in a bakery with the family. And no one likes a Cashier with a tude.
Lynn Franklin: Great selection of baked goods and other menu items. Friendly staff. Gluten free options.
Peggy TexasGal: Best scones anywhere in Kansas City! Nice neighborhood feel too.
Karick Heaton: Cool space and decent food. Not 100% but a solid 85
Jacob Meek: Loved it
Cheyenne Jeffers: Absolutely incredible. Great service and family friendly. Great local hub with excellent service. Parking lot access as well as street parking. Dog friendly patio! This place has the works!
Jeromy Magee: You're doing yourself a favor. Great coffee, great pastries!
John LaBarca DDS: Fantastic breakfast!! Love the pastries and biscuit egg sandwich and don’t overlook the breakfast burrito!! It’s amazing! Highly recommend this place!
LaShana George: This place is AWESOME!Food was great, atmosphere was nice, and service was wonderful. Will definitely come back next time we visit.
T Hayes: Pricey!
Anna Goodwin: I come here a few times a month and my favorite dishes are the avocado toast and the breakfast burrito! They are a lil pricey but the quality is superb!I love the aesthetic inside. The scenary on the patio is very pretty in the warmer months with the Vines and sunflowers!
Kenneth Moeller (The Dane): Nice place great food and service would definitely go back.
Remington Kesten: We've been with Heirloom Bakery since the beginning. They are great at what they do!
Stefanie Kitchner: Just so disappointing. Got a cinnamon roll and coffee. It reminded me of a cheap store bought dinner roll smeared with icing. And the music was so obnoxiously loud I left w a headache. I usually go to Billie’s Grocery Sunday mornings but wanted to try something new. My mistake.
Jenna Rich: Excellent pastries and they always have unique and delicious daily special offerings with local ingredients. Fantastic fresh bread. Everything is house made, and the flavor combinations are fresh.Prices are high but the quality is there in regards to production, flavor and ambiance. I recommend this place for breakfast or lunch or in general for yummy smells filling the building.
Jennifer Falco: The pastries are very good, little pricey. I think the welcoming could be better with a smile.
Daniel Held: I’ve been here a bunch, it’s a spot we love. But today- 1/7/23 at 10am, the bacon was so good I had a religious experience. It perfectly melted in my mouth, was the exact right combo of fatty, Smokey, salty, and umami.
Victoria Rickart: Yummy, plenty of seating, wide variety to choose from (food and drink). I will be returning!
Jocelyn: The roatating specialty breakfast sandwich never disappoints and always introduces me to mixing flavors I would have never thought of on my own. Their chai is not the best but this place still gets 5 stars because everything else I’ve had has been beyond fantastic.
Bianca Rogers: I love this quirky little place. The pastries and breads are wonderful. The sandwiches and soup are so good. I highly recommend this place.

Wally's Pastry Shop: what do users think?
Ana Blažeković: Awesome customer service, really nice down to earth people! Great pastries at great prices, and in my opinion the big chain bakeries just can’t compete.
Danielle Bunny: We try to come here a few times a month! Always a pleasure, the pink champagne and white chocolate creme brulee are my fav flavors.
Wally Butterworth: A true northland hidden gem and one of few bakeries doing true European pastry. From scratch, classic recipes, and lots of butter!I've been a patron for forty years and hope for another 40.One of their signatures are petit fours. Small individual cakes coated in chocolate. Their version is about twice the size of any other I've had. Beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious!
Phillip Smith: Wally's pretty cool and makes delicious cakes
Pamela Skarda: Best chocolate frosting I have ever tasted.💝💖💗💓💞
Richard Renfro: Home made treats, when sold out, you are outthe day.
Frank Campobasso: Thank you Wallys for going above and beyond for my parents 70th Wedding Anniversary last week.Frank & Donna CampobassoThe Cake was outstanding!Thank you from all of the Family. My Parents Loved It!I recommend Wallys for ALL your Baked Cakes and Such...!Sincerely,Frank J Campobasso
James McEwen: pastry is delicious. he makes some items that I've never seen elsewhere. The owner was friendly and happy to talk about the items and his store. He is in the middle of remodeling, so the displayed offerings are limited. He has more items available that are not shown so ask. If there is something in particular, you could probably call a day or two ahead to see if he could have them.
Saba Dieckhoff: the best thing i have ever tasted. the red velvet is so good
Jeremy Byrne: My wife asked for Wally's pastries for her birthday so we got some bread pudding and a bunch of petitfores. Everything looked and tasted great. The new owner is very friendly and is passionate about his craft. Thanks, Wally's!
Greg Peck: We have been going there for 50 years. They are the best.
Walt S: Hidden gem! First visit was not at all what I expected. I figured this unpretentious building housed a local doughnut shop. Instead we found a master pastry chef and had a remarkable introduction to some of their specialties and some history of this business in KC and nationally. It was an absolutely serendipitous experience... and the pastries we got were off the hook good! 👍
Levonda Shockley: I am a new customer i got the German Chocolate cake it was so delicious it was worth it my son loved every bit of the Cake i was very satisfied and pleased i give the German Chocolate cake honestly a 10 star
alexis smiley: Best pastry I have ever had, super moist and tasted incredibly fresh and organic. This place is incredible with a wholesome friendly vibe. Highly recommend, can’t wait to take my mother here.
Jennifer Campbell: They are working on making a tiny diner next to the donut/pastry shop. So I overlooked the clutter. Very tasty dessert.
Jared Ozar: Amazing birthday cake for my wife, these guys made a miracle happen the day of her birthday after her fist cake got ruined. Couldn’t be more satisfied, best place in KC
kristen schowe: Can't get any response.
Mary & Stephan Barr: Upscale detailed oastries
Linda: I had to share this Miracle! Wally’s saved the day to my daughters baby shower. It was an Emergency our previous cake fell apart. I had 5 minutes to find one. They truly came through for our day. Thank you so much! This was the best cake I ever had white chocolate Crim Brulé! Thanks again guys. So keep in mind if you have an emergency or just something delicious go see them!
Angie Rose: Customer experience was fantastic. Had tasting and was the best cake I have had in a long time.
Mark Waite: They did a bouche noel for xmas and my chocolate cake for bday. They are outstanding
