The Clock Shop: what do users think?
Heather Badwey: Years ago, I walked in with an estate purchased clock that wasn’t working. (The shop was already “working” on my cuckoo & wall regulator clock with date.) He was nice enough to tell me that I had an expensive & rare E.N. Welch Patti clock. 6 months later, after calling many times & seeing photos of the owner with my clock in the background at shows, I demanded my clocks be returned. They refused! Finally we agreed that they would keep my cuckoo in exchange for the work done to make Patti run. The other clock still was untouched. They do good but always slow work, but I would never trust them with a clock of mine again.
Karl Strohmeier: The Clock shop did a great job restoring an inherited cuckoo clock from the 1950’s that spent the last 15 years unused in a damp basement. Very pleased!
Kathleen Cita: What a discovery! This shop is LOVELY, and repairs all sorts of clocks. Their service is prompt and professional. They even fixed one of my clocks while I waited—free of charge. Who would have thought that was possible anymore?
Mark Rimel: I have an old grandfather clock that has been in our family for generations, but it recently stopped working. I live over an hour away from the Brookside area, but making the trip to The Clock Shop was well worth my time and effort. The folks I talked to were both friendly and knowledgeable, and the pricing was reasonable, as well. I'm very pleased to have the clock back home and working properly.
Kelly Snider: I bought a little cuckoo years ago they had all the parts and got it up and running very impressive I only paid 1 for it
Janis Emery: My clocks are very special to me. I am very pleased. They repaired my mantle clock, my cookoo clock and my regulator
Bob Stephenson: Pleasant experience!!
Chris Taylor (CJ): Dave came to my home and in no time at all had my 50 year old grandfather clock running smoothly and sounding great. I tried to replace the movement on my own and quickly saw that I needed a professionals' help. Beth did awesome working me into the schedule sooner than expected. I would highly recommend them for any clock needs. Thank you Clock Shop.
Dave Skalick: Still waiting for my clock to be repaired. Update, Got the clock back about a week ago. Cost less then I thought and works great. Very happy with the results.
Dr Gary Kitto: Perfect place
Ronda R: Delighted to have a knowledgeable clock repair shop in the area. Thanks for being here.
Susan Wallace: Dave arrived and immediately diagnosed the problem with my tubular grandfather clock. It takes a true artist to repair one of those and the Clock Shop fid an outstanding job. I would highly recommend them for any clock repair.
Mary Martin: All kinds of clocks! Great at repairs as well!
Jeanette Pruitt: The Clock Shop worked on a cuckoo clock for me. The clock was in pieces when I took it to them. They returned the clock to working order and replaced the necessary mechanisms. They were friendly and the charge was reasonable. I would recommend them highly.
Kendra Young: They took great care of my clock. Friendly and very knowledgeable!
Jim Luck: Excellent Service at great prices with an awesome staff.
Joe Tucker: I called this wonderful shop wanting to get information on how to care for and move a Grandfather clock. The nice gentleman was very helpful. I completely recommend this place for all of your clock needs,
Kate Dahlstrand: My mother gave me a Seth Thomas wall clock that hung in my house growing up. It hadn’t worked in over 30 years. The Clock Shop cleaned it, did some maintenance to it, and taught us how to maintain it. All ahead of schedule. They are kind and responsive. The quiet tictok of the pendulum is a sound of my childhood. Thank you for returning it to my life.
Kathy Lanning: Critical:Professionalism,Responsiveness,Value
Mark Dupy: A great place to get your clock cleaned
Donna Brown: I have taken clocks for repair for several years. Highly recommend.

Bryant Clock Restoration: what do users think?
M F: Amazing customer service. I needed to transport a grandfather clock, and thought too late about hiring a professional to disassemble it. The owner offered to give me help over the phone, giving me detailed verbal instructions on how to keep the clock protected during disassembly, and answering all my questions, even though I wasn't able to hire him (due to my own time constraint).
Tom Collins: Professional courteous and knowledgeable. This guy is the best
Mark Waite: Great job on our clocks.
Ann Roades: I had looked for a long time for a Clock Repair Service in St Joseph that offered in home repair and finally gave up and called Bryant Clock Restoration from KC to work on my grandfather clock. I was extremely pleased with the service. I would definitely recommend Bryant Clock Restoration.

Christopher Fair: I brought in a mini grandfather that WAS OF GREAT SENTIMENTAL value. He treated it with cate and respect.

There is no shortage of intricate clocks to look at and Bob himself is a super interesting person to talk with. Please bring your heirloom, antique, and beloved timepieces here because they will get expert and tedious care. *bonus: there are cats* -No credit/debit-
Andy Parks: My Father has a wall clock that was made for him 30 years ago. Don’t need to say it had a great amount of sentiment. Stop by Past Time Clock and he took the time to explain the options to fix the clock. The clock has worked wonderful since being fixed. Excellent Business, very trustworthy and fair!!!!

Thompson's Clock Manor: what do users think?
Grant Armstrong: Great shop, and the customer service is excellent!
Michael Shomin: Very helpful and related information that was beneficial. The woman I spoke with was very friendly. Highly recommend this business for for any clock needs. Thanks
Mr cleaner: Love the old school ⏰
Chris Rigdon: If you have trouble with your grandfather clock, I would strongly recommend giving Clock Manor a call. Good price, knowledgeable, and good service.
Mike Swift: Took my Grandfather clock made circa 1900. A custom part had to be made to make it work. Now it runs great. Have not heard those chimes work since I was a kid.
Louise Hopkins: These people are really wonderful to work with, and really know what they are doing. Highly recommend. Would not take my antique clock any where else.
Walter Fink: I've used them for years. Watches and clocks. Anything to do with them, they can help you. Dependable and honest.
Rebekah Greutman: So helpful and kind. They got our very old pendulum clock working within minutes, free of charge, when it's been sitting on our wall for a year, not working. Simple fix, and super helpful. Recommended getting it cleaned at some point in the future, which we will gladly use their services for that in the future.
Mike Amos: Great staff, fantastic work! When we originally took our very old wall clock into the shop, they evaluated it and told us what we needed to do to keep the clock running without an overhaul and at no charge. 😀 Unfortunately, minute hand slippage eventually required the clock be taken in for repairs. They disassembled, cleaned, tightened, assembled and adjusted the clock at a reasonable price. The clock is now back home for a few weeks and is running great!Because they are very good and through, they have a lot of backlog. They do the job right rather than speed through the work. I really appreciate that attitude.Thank you Thompson's Clock Manor
Steve Robison: These are the nicest people you will ever meet. And the clocks.. there are many and some you've never seen. I highly recommend Thompson's..just whenever you get the time lol..go and check them out.
Sammie Peters: The service was very fast and the clock is as good as new.I would advise anyone needing a clock or watch repair to use Clock Manor.
Mary Phillips: Sent note requesting information and received no response:(
Ardeith Hopkins: Good work. I always gonhere.
Jerold Bishop: The place where i purchased my regulator style clock didnt really know what they were doing. Over the years it got worse and gradually i jusr figured it was a lousy clock. Things got oretty 'run-down.'I took it here to see if they could help it a little .. its a good looking piece and since i had paid so much for it, i wanted it keep it running at the least. Runs gorgeous now... better.. by far..than the day I brought ut home. I mean... its nuts on and on top of that tge folks here taught me better habits ti take care of it.Tgese guys know what tgey are doing....🙃tY
Will K.: I have a beautiful clock but it kept lousy time. I was so glad to find this spot. They fixed the clock well, quickly, and for far less than I thought. Looks like they also sell some cool items.
Vicki Hipp: I delivered, to Thompson's, my great grandfather's clock, which had not worked for years as it set at my grandmother's house and then at my mom's house. Upon my mother's passing I took ownership of the clock. I did not want just a family heirloom, I wanted a working clock! Thanks to the folks at Thompsons the clock is now running and chiming. It makes me cry when I hear it as it brings back generations of memories. Although it cost as much to fix it as what it is worth to another buyer, it is invaluable to me and I am grateful to Thompson's.
Sarah Cooper: Found out it was user error. They would not let me pay them for their time!!!!
BBear: I needed some new batteries and a bracelet sized. This place is a great find. The person who helped me was friendly and professional. The service was done without any problem. The person who was there was clearly enjoying her work. The store is advertised as a clock shop and I think they can work on watches. Just ask, the answer would be sincere. Glad to have found this gem.
William Jones: Excellent clock repair, very courteous and helpful
Greg Raney: Got just what I wanted, great. Service.
Nina Howard: I have been using Thompson’s Clock for over twenty years. Service is timely and cost is reasonable. My Golgotha broken on my clock and was so afraid it could not be replaced. Wrong! Thompson can do it!

Christopher Filley Antiques: what do users think?
Nick Weddle: While in a neighboring office, they would not let my daughter use the 'employees only' restroom. CFA was quite friendly and hospitable and allowed her to use the very cool Mona Lisa Restroom. Two Thumbs up. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique piece of art or decor piece. Very cool collection.
Ancestor Explorer: I wasn't impressed. I went in looking for books primarily and he had plenty but told me they were not for sale. He said they were for the ambiance. But found a lot of furniture, stoneware, and African art. Disappointed, you have many books that would sell I'm sure, & as a business id think you'd want to sell and move your products and make some revenue. I won't be back.
Natalie Winters: Definitely not an ordinary antique shop! I went in expecting not much, but really enjoyed looking at their African collection. The owner was also welcoming and kind.
N Waldner: A most interesting shop
Mary McAnany: The very best of the BEST antique and architectural funds in Kansas City! This store has so much more than I expected. Thank you Christopher Filley for your great finds, great deals, and friendly customer service. You're the best.

Urban Mining Homewares Vintage & Antiques for the Home: what do users think?
Mark S: Beautiful. Filled with only good things. No junk here. Pricing is reasonable considering condition. And the overall quality is vastly superior to any of the new, soon to be, landfill that passes as furniture these days.
Karen Rew: One of the coolest places to visit in KC. Fun place. Cool vendors and unique treasures.
Abbey Irwin: Changes every month!Open the first weekend of every month - full of vendors finding a mix of antiques, vintage, and fun stuff for home. Lots of art, both modern and classic and lots of furniture.Staff is helpful and friendly, and they have a standing pickup time for big items the weekend following the sale. There are a couple other vintage furniture shops in the area and a nice restaurant in the building, coffee at the Filling Station nearby - and plenty of parking! (Please pay attention to signage some lots are reserved and the street diagonal parking is rear in parking, not nose in parking!!) Great place to hang out and visit on the weekend. There's even a restroom!
Valerie: What a fun place, some excellent furniture. So much great stuff really enjoyed!
Josh Dampf: Such a perfect place to find a unique vintage piece of furniture, art, or decor!
Mariia Hastello: Неймовірний вибір найрізноманітніших предметів та речей. Дуже красиво все розставлено.
Laurel Shoger-Hall: Absolutely adorable and a total hidden gem! You don’t have to dig which is wonderful as each piece gets to be showcased. Very clean!
Tom Lancaster: Amazing selection of furniture and accessories -- I could have spent all day browsing. Great prices, too.
R L: Best place for that First Friday fix without the nightmare of the West Bottoms. If you have never been, you definitely need to try it, you can't go just once!
Jeff Cole: Look forward to this monthly adventure! So many things to see and a great excuse for me to drive into the city. Prices are fair but the staff is amazing.
Amy Texley: This is the place to find a special decorative object or little something-something. Get on their mailing list for notifications, then make your way downtown on the first Thursday-Sunday of the month. Definitely worth the visit.
Sheryl Lear: Friendly helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere and great stuff!
Rick Irwin: I've been going to Urban since they opened on Main Street. The new location is really awesome! Many different levels and rooms. The staff is phenomenal and pricing is spot on. To me this is becoming a KC institution! Keep up the great work Urban Mining! If I could I would give it 10 stars!🤩🌈🌏🏳️‍🌈👍💯
Jeremy Palu: Great finds, different inventory every time we go.
Erik Brown: Was very excited about visiting this store during a First Friday in KC as soon as I moved here. The website made it look very classy and full of hidden gems. Upon arriving, the location and external vibe of the place was just as advertised. Unfortunately, that's the end of the good news. The place was full of JUNK. I don't mean the kind of junk that could be someone else's treasure. I was not impressed by the selection at all. The place next door is much better, but it wasn't exactly great either. I felt like I loaded up my family and went downtown for nothing.
Brian Van Biber: I found what I was looking for at a good price.
Renee Henderson: Great finds!
Larry Zucca: Super neat place. Lots of cool and unique items. Only open the first weekend of the month. Check first before the drive. Parking is alittle of an issue but worth the trip.
Adriana Galue: Cool not so hidden gem. Dig deep for special finds.
Nicki Dobbins: Cool collection. Love Maud Essentials booth
Reese B.: Super cute place to wander around in awe at the huge selection of all the best antiques. Everything seems to be carefully curated, in mint condition, & reasonably priced. Everything from furniture, dishes, lamps, statues, etc- unique kick knacks for your home galore.
