Centriq Training: what do users think?
Via Gedern: Centriq is a great facility and Tim is extremely professional and helpful.
G Jay: I have high praise for the staff at the KC campus. I am a former student who needed some paperwork from my time there, and while this was a pretty routine request, I was still really impressed with the quickness and courtesy of reception and accounting.I am very glad I went to Centriq. I am definitely not the smartest person and had to work harder than most others, but having this training on my resume has helped me get a job for 30k a year more than I was making at the job I left to go to Centriq. And even though I don't technically have an IT job, I still find that I use what I learned quite a bit at work.If I can make it, anyone can. If you're needing an income boost and some new skills you should get in touch with this school.
alex staufenbiel: Nice campus I look forward to going to class there
Stephen Wakefield: Curriculum: 4/5Teachers: 5/5Price: 2/5Resume/Interview assistance: 5/5Job Success Rate: 3/5I went through the full stack development program in Oct 2017. C# is Centriq's language of choice and there is a reason for that. It is an extremely popular coding language in the midwest. The instructors are all fantastic and the curriculum is extensive for a 4 month program: c#, sql, javascript, etc... Take advantage of their HR depts resume building and mock interviews. It is fair to say it is overpriced, but for me it was worth it. For my class the success rate of getting a job right away (after 2 months) was about 60 percent. I was fortunate to get a job before I graduated but I had self studied in Javascript and PHP for three years (highly recommend Lynda.com essential training courses to see if you like programming first before paying a lot of money for training you don't want). You get what you put into this program in my case. I am giving this review because I want to not because I was asked to do this. Sadly you DO need some kind of credible education to land that first programming job unless you are extremely fortunate or network well.
Kyle Ronen: The building was extremely well kept and welcoming inside. The outside was fine but it made no lasting impression on me. There was a new Jaguar I-Pace in the parking lot so that was really cool to see. Tim was the staff member who checked me in and was extremely kind and even indulged in some casual conversation that made me feel welcomed. The entire process was handled effectively and professionally. I had issues with the tests wording, spelling (very few instances), and sentence structure causing me to be unsure of what the full and accurate question was. But I passed my test and had an overall great experience locating and using this facility!
Alex Caskey: I took a certification test there. They were very courteous and professional.
Marnie Boyd: Critical:Communication,Quality,Value
Ryan: Nice building and staff but the screens in the testing room are old and hard to read from. As I continue testing for certifications, I'll have to look for another venue.
Lulu's Big Adventure: Polite staff. Accommodated an early arrival. Good Covid practices. And woohoo, I passed.
Troy: I took a test here and not training. The testing administration was quick, professional, and C19 level clean.
Daniel Boyd: Let me start by saying that I'm a senior software engineer with over a decade in the industry. I work largely on enterprise cloud applications as a full stack engineer and architect.Having witness and assisted an individual going through their curriculum I strongly advise against attending Centriq. It's a horrific waste of time and money and I actively advise against hiring Centriq grads at my current employer due to what I experienced. What little they actually "teach" you is either incorrect, immensely dated, or bad practice. Most, if not all, of their instructors seem to be failed software engineers that graduated from Centriq, got 1-2 years of experience (at most as some had none) and came back to teach as they couldn't actually do their jobs. You'll end up having to relearn almost everything they cover. As such you are better off pursuing self paced learning from online courses. You'll learn more relevant and up-to-date coding practices and topics without being mislead. You'll save yourself a lot of money as well. They have little concern if you actually understand what they teach you. They don't care if you are struggling. They don't care if you find a job. They just want your money. Their main concern is to convince you to stay in the program long enough to get your money. I can only assume they are lying about how many graduates find jobs. Last my acquaintance checked, no one from her class had managed to find a job. Most had given up and returned to previous work.Take it from an experienced professional in the field. Don't go to Centriq. If I see a resume from a Centriq grad, I'm tossing it. Save your money and don't reward these con artist.
Kathy Owens-Walker: I have to select at least one star to post a review, otherwise I would have given them zero stars. This place is definitely not the place to go for people without any prior IT experience. My son was 19 years old when he went through their program Fall/Winter 2018/2019...6 students in his group and only one person found a job...which he had years if prior experience, but needed up to date knowedglede. His job didn't even work out though. I wish I would have given this review a long time ago. My son wishes he'd never had went there...because he's $24,000 in debt now & is going to JCCC to get more in-depth training on the things Centriq touced on for a week then moved onto the next subject. I like to know the REAL number for more people without any prior IT experience job placement. I'm reporting them to the BBB.
Dustin Allen: Nice new facility, friendly staff, will wait to 5 star until I pass the test :)
Christopher Christensen: Came for PMP prep training. Bill Lewis has a wealth of experience and does a great job with what is needed to prepare for the exam.
cam metcalf: I was trained here, there is some very valuable information to be had... And some very wonderful people to meet.
Douglas Hoff: As an instructor at Centriq, I can't be completely objective. But after teaching in a large junior college in California, a local college here, Oracle University locations, and many small classrooms, I can honestly say Centriq has the best administration and staff that I've ever seen.Centriq grew from a small operation 25 years ago to where we've had the need to take over an entire building to house its career training program and corporate classes. I've taught both types and respect how they've put the student's desire to be trained for an IT job first and not just to acquire certificates. There's a reason why they've lasted when their competitors have not.Instructors will go where they feel like they are both learning and making a difference in students' lives. Sometimes that means they have to leave teaching to learn from the real world. More teachers have stayed at Centriq than I've ever seen except in an academic tenure situation. We teach classes of one or two when useful but always love a large class like those of the 16 week Microsoft web developer or network admin tracks. I can see those students making a difference in Kansas City, and now St. Louis, regions. One of my favorite students was making six figures in four years after his graduation.I regularly speak with the account representatives and find that they encourage a relationship with their clients and not just try to sell my classes. I love getting on the phone with them so people understand what's in my classes. They don't really have to do much to gain clients' trust since we have a good reputation in KC.So, I would be a student without hesitation if I wasn't teaching all the time. My time away from the classroom is spent studying and developing new classes. I really can't think how we could do much better and if you have any feedback, I'm sure you can find me online or just come visit us.
Quintin Dublin: Great IT classes
Jason Allee: First off, the first person you meet at Centriq (Russ) is a manipulative liar. I went there to learn coding, all my placement tests confirmed that I'd be perfect for coding, since my brain seems to be able to easily find mistakes and inconsistencies in patterns. For whatever reason Russ went out of his way to talk me out of coding and into the IT Admin side of things. Sure, my fault for going along with it.Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Centriq, and made some friends along the way. The problem didn't become apparent until I graduated and began to look for a job. I slowly started to realize that all the advertising of "you will be paid more" was aimed at high school kids and factory workers who would be thrilled to get a $35k a year job. I set my sights on $45k (a $10k pay drop for me) and was laughed at by the career services person. Still I applied and applied for hundreds of jobs. After 8 months of being turned down over and over again I gave up. So thanks Centriq for making me waste $22,000 and 4 month of my life to be turned down from lower paying jobs.IT Admin jobs will not hire you if you have visible tattoos and piercings, no matter how well you learn and understand the material. Should've just stuck with coding. Now I have to teach myself since I used the last of my GI Bill to learn skills that people with tattoos can't do apparently.
Christian Goben: I don't know what to say other than that centriq changed my life. I went from being a data entry clerk to an employed full-stack developer in less than 4 months. If you're dedicated and love to learn this place can do wonders for you.
Bud Oyler: People really care about your education!
Matt Lang: Great learning environment

New Horizons Computer Learning Centers: what do users think?
Jess Bell: This center was recently bought out and is under new owner! Shana Powers is the Career Consultant and her focus is to bringing value to the community and assisting with career road maps. Ask her about her free career class she offers to all.
BJ Herr: This "school/learning center" is a fraud. Please do not waste your time and money! Universities will not accept credit for any classes, as they have lost their accreditation. The majority of their staff is rude and either unwilling to assist or incompetent. I purchased the programming package and later realized this “Learning Center” was a fraud. The contract states that if you’ve taken less than half the courses, then you’re eligible for a refund. I took less than half the classes in 2009 and requested the remaining refund in 2010. I called and complained so many times I was given the name of the corporate director at their headquarters. He (Frank Perry) dodged my calls and emails as well. New Horizons has mastered the elusive scamming skill, as it must be part of their corporate training program. Upon request, I’d be delighted to provide proof of these claims. Now, they’re creating fake positive Google reviews!
Thomas Hines: Great staff and an amazing new center across the street from JCCC.
charmaine berry: Waste of time teacher telling you that your not going to pass pass rate very low
Shelly Scott: I would not recommend this school, unless your a fast learner and like the fast pace go for it. They really don't listen to their students, they don't give you enough information, with the change in technology you don't know how long the class will be there. I Have asked about another voucher due to me failing one exam no response. i have asked how many time I can retake my class one person said no set limit, another said only 3 times. I have even asked for some help on how to study for the exams other than the practice exams and searching the internet, something like a tutor again no answer. I have also been told not to contact this person or persons as they are no longer dealing with student services. I have gone through 2 or 3 counselors since tending. I have even ask not to have my classes scheduled so close together, if I can only do one until is it finished before going to the next I got ignored.
Joshua Parker: This company's 'career consultants' are ridiculously ignorant.First off, they market their company under the guise of a 'job posting' and then when you respond to such job posting they give your their sales pitch of how great Horizons center is, how they have open positions for people with required certificates and how they can train you. Sure... I understand what they're trying to do, such a training center obviously has an appeal to helping people reach their next career level through training. The problem I have is, practically lying to people by soliciting your services under the assumption of a job posting on careerbuilder. Then, when I asked their 'career consultant' Tappen Tilgner to stop contacting me I've received numerous unsolicited emails; one of which the opening statement was even addressed to a different person but sent to my email. After several attempts of asking them to stop contacting me I've been pushed into making my struggles with the company public through a review and a report to the BBB.Find a different marketing avenue... you shouldn't start a relationship with a customer by disregarding their trust right from the beginning. Ridiculous.
Brent Mammen: I showed up for the training this morning and even though I was on the sign-in sheet and had student credentials at a PC I was told that the course was full and they sent me packing. I can’t begin to convey my frustration with this company and it isn't the first time. Last year I showed up to take an MCSE exam and even though the voice-mail message and website said the testing center was open, there wasn't anyone there besides the receptionist. We had received 1 ½ inches of snow the night before which wasn't bad but it still would have been acceptable if the testing center was advertised as closed for the day. I called Microsoft and they were in the same boat, they believed the testing center to be open but couldn't contact anyone. I ended up driving to Centriq Training that same day and took that exam, but was charged twice since in Microsoft’s system I was the one who didn't show up. I finally did get the exam fee refunded but vowed never to take another test at New Horizons.
Jim Stanford: Pleasant. Easy to find. Brutal test. Step is two days.

Training Umbrella: what do users think?
Block Multifamily: We recently held our annual Budget Workshop at Training Umbrella, and it was an incredible experience! The staff was super nice, and made it so that we could focus on the event, rather than the logistics. The event ran without a hitch, the visual technology was awesome, the wifi was strong, and the space fit our company exactly right. Thank you, Training Umbrella!
Chandler Thompson: We used training umbrella for our annual budget workshop and the entire experience was absolutely incredible!!!! Their catered food was amazing and homely. We used the bigger room with multiple TVs so our folks in the back could see as well. Made us look VERY professional!!!! We didn’t have to worry about snacks or drinks which relieved the stress of coordinating that. Jason checked on us every day multiple times a day. He was so nice helpful and professional! I would highly recommend for anyone and would love to use their facilities again next year! Thanks so much for everything!!!! 😊
Valerie Strickland: Over the past couple years our organization has needed a place with enough room for all our employees to gather for training and large meetings. I'm so glad I found Training Umbrella! They make everything so easy on me from scheduling of the space to the day of the meeting. Someone is always there to help set up whether it's a simple presentation or a complicated virtual meeting. They even take care of ordering boxed lunches for us.
Birgit Scherer-Wiedmeyer: Training Umbrella's platform has an attractive look and is easy to navigate. What I appreciated most during the preparation for our organization's first virtual conference was Christy's personal support and her speedy reaction to the many questions we had. During the actual event, she navigated the demands of several sessions with admirable calmness and poise – I would have been a nervous wreck! Thank you for making our conference a success!
Erin Bellamy: Jason and Clare are the best. They are flexible adapting to fit our Companies needs at any moment. We have spent more time at the Training Umbrella in 2020 then we have at KKM and the Portfolio Companies. Thank goodness they are such great partners.
Carlee Vellinga: I've held many events and trainings with Training Umbrella for the past few years and I knew I could count on them to help us transition to virtual events. They helped us host our first larger virtual meeting and everything went so smoothly. It was great to have our remote attendees up on the screen so it felt like they were in the room. Jason and his team always take care of the little details and prepare for any problem or last minute request, which is a huge relief! I know I can count on them for a professional and smooth event.
Kelly Robinson: I have conducted multiple classes at Training Umbrella over the last year. They always go above and beyond to ensure that we are taken care of. When COVID hit, Jason and his team were able to pivot my in person class of 25, to a virtual one immediately. I have trained 3 virtual classes of various sizes during the stay at home order, and have been able to maintain the same level of engagement as I do in person. This has been HUGE for the success of our classes. Jason and Claire are always available to help with tech issues, allowing me to keep my focus on the class. I can not sing their praises enough, and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who is needing a virtual or in person facility to conduct training.
Silas Lohr: A g
Danielle Tackett: We had a huge need for a training space with computers. I reached out via their "contact page" on their website and got a response within the same working day. The Training Umbrella was able to work with us to make sure we had the technology and space we needed and it didn't disappoint. Their whole team was very hospitable and had someone there to meet us when we arrived. They also had signage up to guide our staff to the training room. They also checked on us periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend them for all your training space needs.
Gayliene Omary: Great facility for training. Very accommodating staff. All my clients were impressed with the facility and made my company look good. Thank you
Karen Northup: My organization used the Training Umbrella facility for a week long course with 30 plus students this past spring. I found the facility to be just right for our needs. The staff was exceptionally professional, helpful, responsive and available whenever we needed them (in fact, before we needed them!!). We had access to two conference rooms to easily accommodate our group exercises and a small kitchen for cold drinks, coffee, and snacks. And all equipment worked!! The staff attention to detail, their firendliness and welcoming attitude was most noticed and appreciated! Thank you!!
Dennis Tashima: Today is our last day of class for a group of 28 students and a carousel of guest speakers. After 3 and a half weeks of conducting our new hire sales training, I have to say that Jason and his staff have exceeded every expectation by leaps and bounds! The best way to describe them is "proactive". They would check in with us periodically throughout the day to make sure we have what we needed, but did so without being intrusive or interrupting the flow of the class. Jason is always willing to assist with any tech issues, including set-up and troubleshooting. If you or your company is in need of a training facility in the KC area, I would HIGHLY recommend Training Umbrella!
Amanda Trosen: Jason is helpful, responsive, and flexible with our group. We have always had a great experience with Training Umbrella!
Rachelle Smith: Training Umbrella was the perfect place to host our meeting. The facility was great, and the staff absolutely went above and beyond (seriously, thank you Jason!).
Steven Johann: Excellent facilities – everything I needed to have a successful 2-day training session was available to me and the students attending my training session. The team was dedicated to hearing what we needed and doing everything in their power to provide it. Thank you! We will be back!
Nichole Zelaya: Great learning environment w/ plenty of snacks and drinks I looked forward to the afternoon fresh baked cookies!!
Krystle P: I spent last week training at the Training Umbrella and it was awesome! The staff was friendly, the room was perfect, the lunch and snacks were spectacular! I would recommend the Training Umbrella to anyone looking for a great place to train a group/have a meeting! The warm afternoon cookies pretty much sealed the deal and were a DAILY treat!
Tony Anastasio: Training Umbrella is a great venue for hosting events and were super helpful in helping us coordinate!
Seth Rush: Fantastic! Jason and his staff go overboard to make sure everything is perfect. I can't say enough good things about my experience with their space.
Rachel Anderson: I have worked several training's here and Jason and his staff go above and beyond for us. They have refreshments including fresh cookies on Fridays! Their hospitality is much appreciated!!
Alexander Ockenfels: I needed to take a CLEP test, and they were very helpful with working on a tight schedule to get me in. Definitely would recommend, very friendly and helpful in all interactions I had with them

Eagles Gymnastics: what do users think?
Hailey Waldenmeyer: While visiting home for Christmas this year, we drove by Eagles on our way to dinner. I was reminded of my time there when I was young, including one instance in particular. I had a 30 minute private on bars with the gym’s owner. I performed repeat bar routines throughout the duration of the lesson while she stood there chatting away on her phone’s head set, providing zero feedback, never uttering or acknowledging I was even there. I remember being very uncomfortable, wondering if she would ever critique my routine, and she never did. When it was over my mom wrote her a hefty check and we left. As a young, 10-11 year old kid, I didn’t have the courage to tell my parents or the ability to really interpret what exactly had transpired, or lack thereof. Now, looking back as a 28 year-old adult, I think it’s appropriate to make others aware of exactly what they’re dealing with at the center of Eagles, and that’s a narcissistic, self centered, dishonest gym owner. Lesson to learn, people remember years later how you’ve treated them, even kids.
Robert Smith: We recently enrolled our daughter at Eagles Gymnastics and after just two tryouts, we have been absolutely blown away with how much better they are than where she used to train! Staff and coaches alike coach the kiddos and it’s clear they all have a great relationship with the kids & their families. The coaches are wonderful! As gymnasts themselves, they teach actual gymnastics verbiage; teach various techniques by doing it themselves; and because of the 10:1 ratio, coaches are very attentive to each student & are not reserved in spotting their students. Most important to us was that they were honest about our daughter’s level of ability rather than just allowing her to enroll in a class she’s not ready for, despite her previous gymnastics experience. Eagles Gymnastics raises the bar & are really looking forward to a long future with them and their wonderful coaches!
Carl Stafford: Very nice facility! Very spacious too. We attended a birthday party there. Staff member was nice as well.
Tauhirah Ayesha: My 3 year old loves her gymnastics classes here! When she's not having a class, she really enjoys playing in the open gym time. So much fun! 🤸🏽‍♀️
Rusty Powlas: Wow. What can I say? The coaches have been great working with our daughter. She has learned so much. Loves gymnastics. She is proud of herself. As parents we are so happy she is with Eagles gymnastics! Highly recommended.
Natalie Kraft: Our out of town granddaughter went with her local cousin to summer camp. She LOVED it so much, she begged to stay an extra week (which she did) and came back at Christmas to go again. It’s a GREAT experience! Highly recommend.
Marlen Dibben: Great gymnastics training for your kids. I highly recommend 👌
Randy: Great outfit
Jaqui Haskins: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueEagles has been a wonderful place for my daughter to learn and grown her gymnastics skills. During these crazy covid times, Eagles has been highly professional and safety conscious while accommodating all of there members. It warms my heart when I hear the staff greet my daughter by name when she walks in the gym.
Nicolai V: Great for the kid! And they practice safety well
Kristin Herren KB: My daughter has learned a ton in the short time she has been here. Team coaches are great and my daughter always looks forward to practice.
Kindra Auhll: My niece loves her coaches and friends at Eagles!!
Hannah Beilman: I’ve been a coach at Eagles for multiple years and can’t think of a better place to bring your kids! We have every type of gymnastics class, including boys gymnastics/ninja warrior training! We work hard to ensure safe, fun, and challenging lesson plans to each class; while always keeping your child’s needs in mind. I’d recommend Eagles to any beginner, intermediate, or advanced gymnast!
Ryan Gravenstreter-Bell: Love it here. Great coaches & many class options.
Adam Lenowicz: Eagles Gymnastics is a fantastic facility that focuses on the core qualities that make gymnastics fun and exciting. My daughter loves all the coaches at Eagles because they are always pushing her to excel as a gymnast while also building her to be a strong individual. I trust the staff at Eagles with my daughter's safety and well being because I know that they are qualified and care about their students and staff. A positive, healthy, and respectful environment is provided at Eagles Gymnastics and I couldn't be happier with our decision to join!
Maria Wilson: If you have a child that didn't start here as a toddler and doesn't know the basics it will be difficult for them to succeed. If you can't do a cartwheel when you walk in the door, this is not the place to learn. The lowest class for beginners was too advanced for my daughter and she struggled for months before becoming completely frustrated and giving up. I sought out help and they told me maybe gymnastics wasn't for her. Very disappointed.
zebbie jamison: My child has been a member since she was 2 and she is now 4. It amazes me how much she has grown into a lil gymnast. She is apart of the mighty munckins and hot shots
shawnee stolte: Eagles has been amazing to us! We have been bringing our daughter here for a couple years and the coaches are super awesome with her. She now does team and I couldn't be more happy with the way they treat them. they encourage them, tell them how wonderful they do, and also tell them what to work on! Highly recommend
Morris Family: My daughter loves going to gymnastics at Eagles! We’ve also had birthday parties at Eagles for my son and my daughter and the kids had so much fun!
Morgan Irwin: great place! the coaches are amazing! my daughter's love it!
Crystal Lewis: We love eagles! Daughter has attended for 3 years and is excelling beyond expectations due to great coaching. Wonderful positive staff and environment. Great for bday parties too!

KiCK Martial Arts & Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Kansas City: what do users think?
Kira Earls: The instructors are amazing with the kids and the values they teach are helping shape a bright future. We always love going to class!
Ken Liesche: My son and I have been doing Gracie Jiu Jitsu for about a month now. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and are great instructors. They really break down the lessons in digestible parts. The atmosphere is great. Always a welcome smile when walking through the doors. If you live in the Northland and want a Gracie Certified Training Center (CTC), this is the place to train!
Philip Pittman: Recently put my son into kick karate. After trying 3 different other karate places.By far. Kick blows the other 2 out of the water. They are helpful, considerate, well staffed and building is clean and well maintained. They do outreach and give back to the community. Teaching all the fundamentals you would want as a parent do our son. My wife and knew thus was the place after our 1st session. If you're looking for a place to enroll your child. I would absolutely highly recommend Kick karate.
Rita Toston: My son loves the class, and we love that we are supporting a Christian owned business with an awesome mission to give back.
David Hilton: Excellent instructors. The students are not only learning martial arts but, they are developing character. They are also learning compassion and how they can give service to others who are in need.
Diana Vehige: Such a wonderful organization. The staff, instructors, and family's are all a joy and positive influence to be around. My child is loving the classes and the skills and I am loving the threaded aspects of respect. Could not be happier.
Justin Parrish: Our son has been going here for about a month now and we couldn't be happier with how well he's doing. He stays so tuned into Mr. Ben and the rest of the instructors, who do such a good job with the Little Kickers. Our goal was for him to learn discipline and have a good outlet for all the energy a 7 year old has and he's gotten all that and more! Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get their kids involved in martial arts.
Stephan Caine: KiCK Martial Arts is an absolutely amazing school that has done wonders for my daughter's confidence and attitude. All of the instructors have been beyond great. I don't think it would be possible to find a better group of mentors for a child, regardless of the activity. You can't put a price on what they have done for my daughter.
hillary Hoffman: My son has developed such respect and confidence with himself and the staff. He looks forward to meeting new friends and new moves. Instructors and atmosphere are welcoming and full of fun events to be involved in!
Laura Sappington: As an adult learning for the first time, the instructors have been so helpful and patient, and they do a great job of engaging with students and teaching the classes. I'm so impressed with the organization as a whole as well, the mission they promote and the community they create, and I can't recommend them enough.
Michelle Kuzmic: Great instructors teaching these kids core values, my son loves his class and has more self confidence!❤️
Laura Cunningham: We love Kick! Our 5 year old gets a lot of out these classes. Self discipline, self confidence, self defense tools, and fun! The instructors are amazingly patient and kind to each of the kids. Even if the class size is large for the day, they make sure each child gets to fully participate.
Peter Johnson: Excellent! They do a great job helping the kids learn and making the classes fun. All of their instructors are awesome & truly care about the kids—highly recommend!
81ackman: I challenged the entire Dojo to a fight I won
Carla Steffen: The staff is so friendly and have made our daughter feel right at home. She enjoys her classes and is learning so many great values.

Wildfire Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: what do users think?
Hayden Ferguson: Great environment, nice mats and plenty of 1 on 1 time with instructors. Very affordable too! Wyatt is awesome
Elijah Irving: I’ve traveled all around doing BJJ from Japan to stateside and this is my first review that I’ve NEEDED to leave. Incredible school with a fantastic instructor. Involving Judo into Jiu Jitsu in a way that makes you comfortable and confident to stand in grappling has been a big goal of mine and Wyatt the owner and coach has done just that. 10/10 ground work coaching as well makes for a well rounded game. Is inviting to anyone who wants to train and try out this sport, as well as to fully develop your game if you’re at a more advanced level. I have nothing but respect for this gym and recommend it to anyone in KC or traveling and needing somewhere to train.
armando arevalo: I joined on a whim and wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. Great environment, everyone has been nice and supportive. Best of all the owner Wyatt is knowledgeable and skilled. I've had a blast training with this group and feel like I have been learning a lot and I cannot recommend enough.
Sled Dog: Good people. Vary welcoming. Good technique
Jarrett Black: Stopped in here while I was in town to get some time on the mats. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The instructor was very clear and knowledgeable.
T B: Great School, approachable instructors, structured environment.
John Mormino: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueMy oldest son started taking classes here and I discovered it I started taking classes with my son and my smaller son unfortunately things have happened and we haven't been able to go lately but as soon as life allows we will be back great place to train
Joshua Mugg: I've been training here for over 2 years. Great bunch of folks. For folks new to the sport, everyone at Wildfire is eager to help you learn jui-jitsu, whether you're looking for a new martial art or never done one before in your life. For folks who have some bjj experience, you''ll find plenty of blue and purple belts on any given night. Folks here are pretty chill. We want to learn jui-jitsu, how to fight, and have fun in the process.
Kyle Kordenbrock: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThe owner is what sold this gym for me. He is a professional who seeks to pass on his knowledge to EVERY member. What keeps me coming in is the dedication of our instructors to stay true to Gracie BJJ and the comradery shared between class mates. I am so grateful to have a place to learn this martial art.
Kaylee Farmer: Fantastic place to learn and train BJJ. After finishing each session, excited to return for another!
Josh Mormino: Simple, straightforward, safe, and most importantly, fun.
Ryan Davis: I started BJJ a few months ago and training at Wildfire has been a blast. Wyatt is a great instructor and everyone there is really friendly, patient and open to questions. You can tell everyone there loves it and they want to help others progress. For a new white belt, those qualities are of upmost importance. Cleanliness is also held to a high standard which for any gym is a must. Can’t recommend Wildfire enough for anyone looking to start or continue their BJJ journey.
Michael A. Corgiat: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
papadoza Emm: I trained with Wyatt under Professor Graeber at Gracie Humaita. As a new “kid” and him waaaay more experienced, he took it upon himself to help me along. Being older than him, I was extremely humbled by his kindness, knowledge and experience of techniques. He was very meticulous when teaching me. Then, he opened his own school and knew immediately it would be a success! His gym is law enforcement friendly and everyone respects EVERYONE. He demands respect and integrity and gives it back 100%. Best money you will spend!!
Zaymeal: Good people, Excellent training environment. Well kept and clean facilities. Good focus on learning and improving.
Brad Cox: Positive:Communication,Quality,Value
melissa Davis: The instructors are kind and thorough. I enjoy the details and the explanations of how/why the moves work. Very welcoming environment! Great for new students.
Zach Smith: Wildfire is great because the instructors really care about making sure you understand the concepts you are applying and not just teaching “moves”. If you want to learn/get better at BJJ this is the place.
Robert Ficke: I am currently a member of this Jiu-Jitsu gym. This is my second year here and I have been significantly impressed with the compassion of instructors fellow members and training partners. Another BIG plus for this gym is (and I cannot emphasize this enough) that it is well maintained and clean! I started my Jiu-Jitsu journey a couple of years ago. I walked in and felt extremely welcomed. There is absolutely no gym intimidation. The owner was away on business for my very first visit but everyone came around and introduced themselves. I have met a lot of amazing and diverse people here which is why I keep coming back. If you are tired of the monotonous gym routine or wanting to find a new challenging hobby try this place out.
Scott Mountjoy: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueDetailed instruction, fun atmosphere, welcoming to the experienced and beginners alike.
Brian Parnell: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat place to train good environment clean mats great instruction.
