Rachel Sexton: When my 3rd child was breech at 37 weeks, I went to Mary for the first time. She did two treatments of acupuncture/moxibustion. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked into the hospital a few days later for an external version (procedure to try to manually move the baby) and they identified that the baby was in the head down position before they even started. She stayed that way for the next 3 weeks until I delivered her. When I was overdue with my 4th baby and my OB/GYN insisted on scheduling me for a 41-week induction, I went back to Mary. She asked me to come in two days in a row for acupuncture/moxibustion. I asked to schedule additional appointments since I had almost a week to prepare. She said, "No! Don't need it! Baby come before then." Sure enough, hours after the first treatment, the baby came bursting into the world after 2 of the easiest hours of labor and 9 minutes at the hospital. This was just a day after my doctor had told me I was "fingertip dilated" and that my cervix was not thinning. When I went back to Mary 6 months later to tell her I was thinking about baby #5 and to ask her to help me get prepared, she urged me not to get pregnant and said my body wasn't ready. She told me to begin taking Royal Jelly supplements. She could have prescribed a series of treatments and made a good sum of money from them, but she was more interested in my well being. I did end up waiting more than another year to conceive #5 and am looking forward to Mary's help when we prepare to bring this little guy into the world. I completely believe in her technique, her integrity and her knowledge of what is happening in her patients' bodies.

Ali Roll: I paid $70 for literally a 5 min "consultation" on acupuncture for infertility that consisted of her yelling at me about my liver and then trying to awkwardly hug me at the end. The lady behind the counter was extremely mean to a gentleman that had left right before me as well. All this and the "program" would have cost me a few grand. There were zero redeeming qualities about this place.
Kimberly Coakley: If I could give this place zero stars I would, but I can't. I went there this morning trying to find a new acupuncturist after moving here to Kansas City. I was having mixed feelings as I was filling out the new patient paper work. When I was talking to Dr. Mary Zhang in the room I felt like she was not listening. Then she started arguing with me. I know she is the professional but she is not the first acupuncturist I have been too and so I know what I am talking about when it comes to MY body. She couldn't deal with me having a difference of opinion so she started repeatedly yelling at me trying to get her point across when I tried to tell her she wasn't listening to me and she was getting me so upset and she didn't relent. At one point she got frustrated and said she was going to take a few minutes. When she came back I told her I was just going to leave and she told me I probably should. Well after that consultation I will not be going back I will keep looking for someone else.I have never had such rudeness and lack of professionalism from a doctor.

Analisa Lee: Dr. Fung is the best acupuncture and Chinese medicine doctor around. She has helped us with conditions that no other doctor could successfully treat. Her knowledge of the human system is vast and holistic. I feel she has been a miracle for our health and healing and I am so grateful to have found her. Her clinic is peaceful and relaxing too.
Hannah Bailey: I really appreciated her knowledge and guidance during my treatments. I saw her for a short period of time and she improved my symptoms immensely.
A. Mitchell: My mother saw doctor Fung about 3 years ago for relief from her terminal cancer symptoms. It was the only thing that made her feel better, so I wanted to provide a review, although very late. Dr. Fung was compassionate and did everything she could to help my mother, but did not charge a lot. The herbal tea she gave her helped her constipation and my mother said she would "crawl to get there if she had to" becuase the acupuncture was the only thing that made her feel better. There was nothing that could realistically be done to halt or slow down untreated stage 4 pancreatic cancer with a life expectancy of 6 months, but it did give her relief for a few hours or days. (My mother did pass at almost exactly 6 months with a massive tumor in her abdomen).
Ginnie Job: Dr. Fung Is gentle, insightful, and expert. She has helped me many ways over the years. I could not recommend anyone more highly.
Melissa Gould: Dr. Fung has been treating me for years for relief from symptoms related to menopause. I've been free from prescription drugs for over 5 or 6 years now and thanks to her my hot flashes are nearly imperceptible. I take the herbs she formulates every day. I appreciate that she tweaks them for whatever other issues I have going on, such as a cold or joint pain or itchy skin. She is compassionate and thorough. I recommend her to anyone seeking alternatives to or complementary with care from western medical doctors. She has great depth of training and knows what she is doing.

The assessment of the health condition is vital to the entire process.(noMRI, no xray, no blood test) Dr. FUNG has helped me w ith a chronic sinus problem that western medicine had no help for. The combo of acupuncture and herbs has so eased my life. I am unspeakably grateful. My osteoporosis actually improved this year!! Thisvis nothing western medicine could do anything about short of drugs to brittillize my bones. I dread the day she retires and is no longer available.

At first she helped me get my digestive system working properly again. When the UC flared up I went to a gastroenterologist who confirmed it, wanted to put me on a medication my insurance wouldn't cover and I couldn't afford. Mary LaPlante: I have been a patient of Dr. Cathay Fung for over 15 years for my chronic medical condition. Dr. Fung has gone above and beyond with her acupuncture, cupping, and herbal treatments to keep me feeling my best. I normally see her every other week; however, when my symptoms flare or if I come down with an acute illness, all I have to do is call her and she works me into her schedule for a treatment or herbal consultation right away. If you know anything about Chinese medicine and herbal treatments, then you know they have to be adjusted frequently to promote body harmony as your condition changes. Dr. Fung is very professional, knowledgeable, and responsible; she will not prescribe herbs without consulting with you in person to assess your body's condition. Dr. Fung has also treated my husband, son, and grandchild. M S-C (MS): BE WARNED! I was VERY disappointed with my experience at this clinic. I have severe neck pain as well as leaky gut. I expressed to Cathay after 4 visits I experienced no relief at all with my neck after her acupuncture and cupping. She did not respond to my concern in person or through email each time I expressed this concern. At each visit she continued to give me these treatments that did not work. The herbs she gave me were great and helped tremendously. After my 4th visit I told her i no longer wanted acupuncture nor cupping but I still needed herbs. She cancelled all of my appointments and said she would let me know when an herbal consultation was available. I had never heard of an "herbal consultation". It wasn't on her website nor listed on the intake paperwork. I emailed and called to tell her I could not sleep without the herbs and that I needed a refill ASAP. It took her DAYS to respond. She said she was booked for the next month but she would let me know when something opened up. She had previously informed me I needed to give her a day's notice if I needed a refill for herbs. After sending SEVERAL emails telling her I needed herbs to be able to sleep she responded and said it is against her clinic's rules to refill herbs without an appointment. I reminded her that she had informed me that she needed a day's notice for a refill and that I had watched a man come in to get a refill of his herbs without a consultation. I asked why she didn't change all of my acupuncture/cupping appointments into herbal consultation appointments instead of cancelling but she did not answer. After several days with no sleep and no response from her I was BEYOND angry. I told her if she was am M.D. that had been licensed in the U.S. what she was doing would be illegal. You don't stop someone's treatment unless they have another physician that can continue their care. She was clearly more concerned with making money than actually helping people.I told her I would need to share my experience with others.

Lindsey was my provider for over 1.5 years and she was fantastic. Sybil Noble: Dr Bing Lu is so helpful. Her knowledge and expertise in traditional Chinese medicine is advanced and very helpful. She is an expert at figuring out what is going on in both your physical and emotional life! I would recommend her without hesitation! Her office is relaxing, and her energy, demeanor, and knowledge are refreshing! I have a friend who was a nurse who recommended I go see Dr Lu—I do not regret this in the least. She deals with any physical issues I am having and understands what is causing these and she is an expert at using Chinese herbs, cupping, massage, and acupuncture. As a western medicine patient it is refreshing to find someone who has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and can figure out what’s going on with me, and what the cause is, and what needs to be done to help make it better! I would highly recommend you visit Dr Bing Lu and experience her caring and supportive approach to relieving any ailments you may be dealing with!

Christine Cooper: I had MAJOR shoulder issues; a doctor probably would have wanted to do rotator cuff surgery.. however after 3 visits I did not have that pain. Again. And that was 5 yrs ago.Now I need him for shoulder pain as I tweaked my shoulder blade during a little outside work yesterday!!
Matt Burge: I saw him for sciatica 3 times and I was Pain free highly recommend him
Kaki Conti: I’ve been each time I get a sinus infection and he takes care of me. It usually takes 2-3 visits, but it is far better an antibiotics or surgery. I can’t recommend him enough.
tammy smith: I went to Sherman with a long-standing issue that I thought was rt psoas tendonitis but he said it was a hernia developing, which he was able to reduce the swelling from. I had been to several specialists who had missed this. I later had it confirmed by my GP.

K C: I wasn't impressed. He quoted me $70 on the phone, but charged me $110 after my visit, which included the Jin Gu Die Da Wan pills he told me was part of the treatment (an additional $40). The same pills can be found on Amazon for $11.99. Unethical business practice. And, he didn't listen to my issues regarding my pain. I didn't feel any improvement as a result of the treatment.
Annetta Hoshor: As a result of a pregnancy/c section, I developed severe carpal tunnel in both of my hands. I was in a lot of pain and could barely uncurl my fingers from a fist. I called Sherman and was able to get an appointment for the next day. I felt Sherman was very knowledgeable and understood my issue right away. I actually didn't know it was carpal tunnel that was causing the pain and numbness in my hands until Sherman told me. After only 2 sessions with Sherman, the pain was gone and my hands were almost back to normal. I definitely recommend Sherman.
