Actor Training Studio: what do users think?
Ruthie Wu: Andy is an incredible acting coach who genuinely cares for people and their acting dreams regardless of previous experience or age. I always learn something new in class from him and my fellow actors who are also a joy to be with.
Tyler Stuart: Went and talked to him before about possibly taking classes. He than proceeded to consistently try and talk me out of it and say there's nothing special about me and how I would never have any progress in this career field because of the way I looked. He also mentioned that he had some beautiful student before that moved to California and hasn't had any luck or success. Instead of helping he did more harm than good. Based on one meeting I was shown that he would be the worst teacher I'll ever have in my life so far and will never make me better
Katrina Volonnino: I learned so much from Andy Garrison! He’s an excellent teacher and so knowledgeable about the film industry! The classes are always so much fun!
Tim Keltner: Years ago proprietor Andy Garrison and I shared the stage in several productions. I was all ego, competitive to a fault - and Andy took it all in stride, put his head down, and studied the craft of Acting. Look where he is now, owner of the most successful and well thought of Actor training schools around. (You see, I was liked - but I wasn't WELL-liked). I highly reccommed ATS for ANYONE who is serious about their craft!

The Coterie Theatre: what do users think?
Real Estate Queen Dena Odom: We saw Don't let the Pigeon drive the bus. That play was hilarious. The actress, Daphany Edwards, that played the bus driver did an amazing job
Cathryn Adams: The show was amazing. Loved the theater set up for kids to really be up close and feel like a part of it.Pigeons should not drive the bus.
tika castilleja: My almost-9-year-old LOVED "Don't Let the Penguin Drive the Bus". Parents, too! Good view no matter where you sit, but if you want center seats, show up early. Comfortable temperature. Great experience. Your kids will love it!
Matthew Davids: My son and I had a great time watching high class actors put on an entertaining show for many! The house manager could have been a little more upfront about the rules in place when it came to the areas not to sit in. Instead of assuming we knew but other than that it was a great time!
Paulo Oliveira: A ton of fun with my daughter and their school field trip. I recommend the musical "Don't let the pigeon drive the bus". The kids loved it
Kyle Tritsarolis: Amazing experience. It’s the equivalent of seeing your favorite band in a small intimate venue, but for kids. The staff is extremely friendly and great with kids. The actors are outstanding and do an excellent job putting on a show for the little ones.Definitely worth going regularly and seeing the different shows
Kevin Seaman: The plays here are always great. They are enjoyable for not only my kids, but also my wife and me.
Carolyn Elrod: Delightful
Jamie Lee: Great shows as always.
Void Sprite: The play and actors were great! Although the director/writer of the play was a bit rude to my family before we saw the play. Other than that 10/10.
Charity Baker: Very good environment and play was exceptional.
Jared Thorp: We always have a blast here. We have been several times and have never been disappointed
Bailey H: I recently attended a play with my preschooler’s class. We saw “A Charlie Brown Christmas”. The show was really great. The actors and live band did a great job keeping the many small children engaged and excited. The staff were very organized and worked great with the little kids, getting everyone seated and comfortable in an efficient manner. I would definitely recommend visiting for a fun family outing or class field trip.
Rachel McWilliams: We went to see a Charlie Brown Christmas at the Coterie & it was fantastic! The kids loved it! We will definitely be back for another show!
Joe Hannel: You need to turn the heat on during productions. It was FREEZING in the audience.
Donna Reeder: The Kindergarteners loved the Christmas show! High energy and friendliness poured from the cast and the kids caught the excitement.
Kate Berryman: Performances here are fun for kids. We really like outdoor events they hold!
Jessica Kueker: One of KCs gems, Electric Poe is truly special. Never been disappointed in a performance from the Coterie.
Waco Porter: Not a bad seat in the house and great shows.
Wanda Brown: Akeelah and the Bee. Excellent production. Enjoyed myself but the Theater was very cold which made it uncomfortable for me 10-1-2022 @ 2:00p
Hehehheheheheh Hop: Our 1st time attending a show. It was a Birthday Gift for my Granddaughters. We really enjoy the show.

Kansas City Young Audiences: what do users think?
Crista Matt: After 14 years with this company, my kid and I are deeply disappointed with how they treat their staff. A primary dance instructor was terminated with no notice and right before the Spring 2023 performance rehearsals. Many of the students who have been dancing under her for years are heartbroken and it seems my teen has been put to the task of teaching these kids with no compensation. Horrendous business practice! Please help me edit this post by making one thing right, KCYA.
Amanda Lea: My 10-year-old has been taking dance classes here since she was 2 1/2. We absolutely love the teaching artists, staff, and community. The teachers focus on training, not competition. All of the dancers wear costumes that are age-aporopriate and truly look like the young ladies and gentlemen they are in stage. The community is diverse and feels like a family. I can't say enough about how much our family loves KCYA!
Tilman Achberger: The place seems great with lots of room for parents to sit while kids dance. I've also been impressed with their covid precautions.
Kieran Ford: I'm doing Shakespeare here, and I wanna thank KCYA for being the great space that they are!
Cynthia Heng: Watched my granddaughter in a summer camp perfomamce of Peter Pan. Just delightful! My granddaughter loved the theater camp!
Jonathan B: We LOVE KCYA! Especially Miss Kim!
Basil inhaler of actual lungs: I mean
Suzanne Southard: My daughter has participated in summer camps and private music lessons here. Both have been fantastic. Great teaching staff and lively, positive vibe.
Lisa Brummett: My daughter attended camp here for the first time. She loved every day of it. It was a half day camp for two weeks and the performance at the end was really great. I wasn't sure they would pull off something good with so little time but it was better than I could imagine. They really are professional here. Will be back for sure.

First Act Theatre Arts: what do users think?
JBOB studios: They let a girl in the men's green room for the spring recital. She was gay obviously. Even though First Act advertises itself as Christian, it's really just doing that to get more customers. Some of the teachers are nice though.
Will Wright: Great place for dance and theatre classes/camps
Clinton Eppler: Great performing arts group.
Gary Valentine: Formerly Christian Youth Theater, my daughter has participated for several years. She loves it and we love the christ-centered focus of the organization. The productions the director and students put on are fantastic and I encourage everyone attend; the shows aren't just for family and friends.
Elaina Panek: I'm very grateful for First Act and all its done for me! It has brought me out of a dark time in my life and made me into the person I am today. Thank you First Act Theater Arts!
Trisha Brauer: First Act is a wonderful organization who truly impacts children through the power of performing arts. I have seen the difference they have made in the lives of kids and it is transformational. In addition, their performances are high quality, engaging, and fun! I highly recommend for kids or theater-goers!
Rebecca Ward: The best program in KC for kids who want to do musical theater!!
Donna _: We saw the play 'Clue'...great experience. Loved this group of hard working kids. You could FEEL how much they loved doing what they do!!
Tim Steger: CYT is like family.👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
Beth Pickard: CYT is an amazing family of young people and adults that guide them in dance, voice, acting and bring them closer to God.
Matthew Day: Great shows!
Gabe Drake: Excellent please to be, amazing atmosphere
Mary Knight: Love that my grandchildren are getting more exposure to God and Christian values.
Patty Mullen: Great Family Activity.
Chad Sternke: Love these people
Sabrina: The best
Erin Barton: CYT has helped me to grow in so many ways! I'm so grateful that I found it when I did! I've made SO many friendships and had so many people pour into my life! This is A FABULOUS organization!
Ember Leonard: As a student, I can't say enough good things about CYT! I've made eternal friendships, been encouraged by outstanding mentors, and seen incredible growth in myself as well as those around me. At CYT, we really are a family! As a kid you grow up learning from the teenagers, and as a teenager you have the opportunity to inspire kids. At CYT we're taught theater skills, but that's only the beginning. We participate in student-lead worship before every rehearsal and class, and take time to pray and pray for each other, detecting each show to our Creator. In CYT's HYPE (Highschool Youth Pursuing Excellence) we're taught how to lead younger students, grow in our relationship with God, and grow into responsible adults, by showing an example of great responsibility as youths. From an audience member's perspective, our shows are unexpectedly breathtaking. The talent in this program is abundant, and each student puts in so much hard work. CYT has changed my family and I's life, and I can't imagine where we'd be without it.
Brian Beaman: I can't say enough about this group. It is the best, completely-inclusive youth troop in KC. Performs and leads in love and with love.
Arin Lecluyse: Great place for kids to act, dance and sing
Kristina Quick: After 10+ years of involvement with this organization I cannot begin to express the ways it has impacted our family. CYT has built confidence in all three of my children beyond the stage. This is an organization where others outside of our immediate family have poured into our children to develop their character. CYT is a community. It is family.

The American Theatre Guild: what do users think?
jennifer b: We purchased 2 memberships for the fabulous list of productions for 2023/24. The gal that assisted me was so nice, informed, helpful which made the process easy and pleasant. We look forward to the performances
Terri Ann: I have been a season ticket holder in South Bend, Indiana for the last 4-5 years. Without notice, they changed my seat to a much less desirable one. I asked for a refund and was told there would be $123 non refundable handling fee, subtraction of the one show I did see(I found out about the seat change upon arrival). So for the $429 I spent on season tickets, I will receive $233 back. Buyer beware when dealing with them.
