subdivide: Hy-Vee wine and spirits is usually pretty good depending on the stocking situation sometimes things will be blank for months with no explanation but sometimes things are cooking no problem. And these are for American made products. It confuses me but they don't control the world so I don't find them too much at fault. C'est la vie

Russell Bronson: Spirit World, just stopped and talked with one of the owner’s Jeff. He said that they would be doing a reopening today. Great service and customer oriented servicing Independence for over 50 years . They are at 17001 24 Hwy, Independence, MO. Right next to the Little Caesars.

Ryan Gau: As an alcoholic I have a heightened sense of ABV value as well as selection. This place has the best of both. If it's not on their shelves the super friendly staff will seek it it for you. They also sport and fine selection of CBD and Delta 8 flower and gummies from local farms.

Stephen Douglas Bonney: My Aussie Minnie says Underdog is a must stop on every walk, even when the store is closed (as in the photo). We like to get treats there. I make tasty cocktails with my treats. Minnie eats hers on premises. My wife says the wine tastings are fun and educational.

My biggest problem is always trying to figure out how to describe what I like... I'm definitely not one of those "hints of slightly moist shoe leather" and whatnot (which is great if you understand it) So their help converting my ramblings into decent picks is much appreciated.

Allison Michelle: I called to ask for a recommendation for something a little nicer than what I typically drink to celebrate an achievement at work. I explained the occasion and told them my usual selections (cab savs and dark red blends i.e. bota box, 19 crimes, apothic) and that I wanted to stay under $50. I was recommended a $35 bottle of Latta Latta that is seriously my new favorite. The employee did a fantastic job of describing the key notes and experience. He also went out of his way to accommodate my need for extra social distancing. Looking forward to my next project or any reason to justify a decent bottle of wine. Highly recommend!
