What supposed to be a quick 15 minute meeting to get to know the couple, turned into an hour of chatting and laughter and sharing our stories with such a kind and caring person. Pastor Jane took the time to learn each of our stories about how we came to be engaged, what we loved most about each other, and what we hoped for our futures together. She also shared with us her story which moved us deeply and helped us to know we had chosen the right officiant for our special day. On the day of the ceremony, her speech brought up emotion from everyone in the crowd, and especially us at the altar. Jessica Rosewaren: Where do I even start about this train wreck of a business? First off, if you look at the reviews, several were posted by the owner herself (she even thanked herself for writing them). Here is my wedding experience... my fiancé and I contacted the owner, Nancy, back in October. We initially requested to use the Edison for a small ceremony with cake. We were told it would be $850 for the couple of hours that we wanted it and that we would be responsible for clean up. Within a week, we realized that we probably should feed our guests since the ceremony was at 5pm. We were then told that it would be an inconvenience because they (The Edison) would have to do the cleaning since catered food apparently makes more of a mess. So, Nancy raised the price to $1,000 and we were to have it from 5-8pm and were told that we could come in at 4pm to get ready and do some decorating. Skip forward to middle of December and we hadn’t heard anything from this business at all and we’re getting concerned. They assured us that they always meet with the bride and groom (last minute) the week of the wedding. Cool. We sit down with Nancy five days before our wedding and she basically tells us nothing and asks us nothing. I was worried but tried to have faith that she knows what she’s doing. I’m also told that week that our time starts at 4pm. That’s three hours to get ready, have the ceremony, have the catering set up (the venue is too small to do prior to the ceremony), eat dinner, do pictures, and cake. We were completely set up for failure. And by this point, our $1000 check had been cashed. I was told that if we wanted to add extra time or use any more tables, “my mom” would need to call and pay extra because “my mom” had already made arrangements with them. For the record, Nancy had never spoken to my mom EVER. So, we decided to work with what we had and hope for the best. The night of our wedding arrived and then Nancy decides to have a conversation about what the service will be like (while I’m trying to get ready). But she doesn’t explain or ask some pretty imperative questions. This leads to a very bizarre rambling about “friendship” and macaroni and cheese during the ceremony. She asked me AT THE ALTER whether I was going to change my name. She nearly announced us “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” and had to correct herself. She didn’t tell my teenage son that she was going to be asking him “who gives the bride away” (which I never would’ve wanted to be part of the ceremony) so he stared at her until she whispered to him what to say. Just unprofessional. And tacky. We then have our rushed reception and are told by Pastor Jane (who had come to take over supervising) that we had to clean up the place. That means putting up tables, chairs, taking out the trash. We weren’t even allowed to put trash in their dumpster because supposedly they didn’t have one. My guests were putting bags of trash IN THEIR VEHICLES. SO EMBARRASSING. Nancy reached out to me the following day and basically said that she did nothing wrong and that her and my mom had made the agreement that we would clean up (again, she had never spoken to my mom prior to the evening of our wedding). I responded to her and told her my feelings on all of the above and had no response. Not even an apology for the embarrassment of saying our names wrong. This place is worthless. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Zephyr Spencer: I want to preface this review by stating that my better half tends to be the outgoing, comfortable in new surroundings, excited, people person between the two of us. I am most comfortable in the exact same surroundings as always, more with books than people, and with everything planned down to the second in advance. When this doesn't happen I quickly become anxious and overwhelmed.Pastor Jane read me like a book the moment I walked in, and immediately set about attempting to relieve my anxiety. I've actually been trying to write this review for the past couple of days, but I keep erasing it and starting over because I'm unsure how to best explain just how exemplary of an experience I had during something that I expected to just be a quick signing of papers.Pastor Jane told me during the ceremony that she loves what she does, and it shows. I felt comfortable, I felt accepted, I felt welcomed. We did not have the money for an exquisite ceremony. What we had was my wife, myself, my in-laws, and a license.I walked in a nervous wreck, and walked out comfortable, happy, smiling, and confident we had made the right decision. I wouldn't trade the intimate, genuine, and loving ceremony that we had for the biggest venue in the world.If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about you, loves what she does, and wants to connect with the people involved, you've found the right venue, and Pastor Jane is the right officiant. When we eventually get the money to fly in everyone we wanted at this ceremony, and we're able to renew our vows, I already know I will be contacting Pastor Jane again.Thank you again for your time, and for the love you put into the world.

Dereen Fortsch: Beautiful venue, but the lighting was dim and hard to see things. The owner Rachel was an amazing help to me with helping with the decorations. I was having to do it by myself, but she jumped right in with setting them all up. We have used the Cotillion for years and we plan on continuing to plan all of our special family occasions with them.

FatKat MOTO: I attended a wedding there. It was a nice place. Nice owner's and staff. Place a little out dated.. but she said they was working on that due to pandemic hurt the business. I still think it's a good place to have a wedding.

Went two days back to back and they deny me. I went to record my paperwork, they tried to tell me how to file and that I had to file my paperwork separately when I told them it was one document. Discriminated against me calling me a “sovereign “ in which I’m not or do not associate myself as. Still was rude, smoke to my child disrespectfully and kept rolling their eyes, telling me why did I come at the last min, told me they weren’t filing my paperwork over and over again. Nasty attitudes, loud, disrespectful, cut you off at every point you talk, everyone refused to give me their names, refused to give me the directors name and contact information. Never again! I be glad when they open the downtown location up again! Now I can’t file my paperwork!!

I disagree with another review on here. I had no clue what size I was wearing since losing 200+ pounds. I tried dresses on from size 12 to 26. The dresses are European sizes and that is not the shops fault. I said yes to my beautiful dress. They ensured that I will have my dress done and ready. I am so excited to say I Do May 22, 2021!!!!

Hanna Davies: I am not the type to write reviews, but after what I have experienced at this shop I have to!!!As a plus size woman, trying on dresses can be a challenge considering most designers send sample sizes to shops that carry their dresses. I called around to multiple stores and very few carried any bridesmaids dresses about a 12. When I called amore they said that they had a few plus sizes that could be tried on. When we arrived to try on dresses there was not a single dress in that designer above a 16. This of course made deciding which dress to purchase more difficult, especially when you are paying $200+ for a dress.I was measured in my bust, waist and hips to find out what size I would need to order. When we referenced the size chart, it came out that my bust was bigger than the largest size dress available. I never in my life, have ordered a size 28 in anything. Now, with that being said, I understand that dresses tend to run small. No big deal. The woman then tells me that I will need to order an extra yard of fabric which when the dress is altered can be added to make the top bigger to fit my bust. A yard of fabric runs for $50 a yard. The dress itself was $220. She then tells me that they charge extra per size after a size 22. Once everything is all said and done, my total comes out to $341, for a dress that I have no idea what it will look like on, nor how it will fit. Not to mention during all of this, the woman that was helping us was very, very pushy and quite rude.Fast forward 2 1/2 months later. The bride gets a call that our dresses are in. I am thinking great, I will finally be able to see what this will look like on and figure out how much it will need to be altered. I go pick up the dress, the extra fabric and pay the balance that is left. I get home, put the dress on and to my surprise.... IT ZIPS! AND there is a ton of room in the bust, along with everywhere else.Here I am with a dress that is now way to big, a yard of extra fabric that I do not need, and I start questioning the measurements, the size that was ordered, and why I paid the extra money when I obviously did not need to. I thought that I would just call Amore and explain what is going on, surely they would understand. After this I took measurements myself at home, to find out that according to the size chart I did not need a size 28, but a size 18, maybe 20 if we were being generous.I called Amore today, and first spoke to a young lady. She was very concerned and said that unfortunately she could not do anything and that she would get me with someone that could help. Another woman comes on the phone, I explain to her the situation and according to her “these things to happen and that there is an ease in all dresses that is around half an inch which could explain why it fits” I told her that “no mam, it is not just a little loose, it is way too big.” She claimed that all dresses size different and that basically you order a size while you are “backed into a corner hoping that it fits”. If that is the case, why even take measurements? If all of the dresses are sized differently why have a size chart? She then tells me that they cannot take back the extra fabric because the designer does not take it back. She claimed that all dresses are dyed together and that if they took this fabric back it would not match any other dresses of that color. Which, I am sorry, but come on... Seriously?After what turned out to be a pointless conversation about the sizing of the dress, I then mention the extra charged and the money that I am out. So not only am I out the $50, but I am also out the extra money charged for it being over a size 22, and I am going to have to pay the extra money to have it altered to where I need it to be. She did not seem like she cared, nor that she wanted to make the situation right. Her words were “these things happen”.I am very, very upset with how this was handled from start to end. All I can say is check your measurements if you do decide to go here and think twice before ordering.

And keep telling her she shouldnt try it, they told her to come pick up today and that if she tried it on they wouldn't repress it. She took the chance and tried it anyway and it was not complete.. now she is going back Thursday to get itWhy would you tell a bride to not try her dress after you guy have altered it! Shouldnt she try it after it was changed to make sure it's good fit?

A D R: I wouldn’t recommend them, very rude and snobby people. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Went in with my two year old daughter to look at their wedding dresses. I wasn’t going to buy one just yet, I wanted to look around more before I made a decision. Went in, saw a couple of dresses I wanted to try on and take a couple of photos. Go to a couple other places and do the same so I could look at them and decide what dress I wanted. Told the lady and she goes in a very rude tone “this isn’t a modeling store and next time you need to make an appointment, you are taking up other people’s times.” There was no one in the store. No one! She even looked at my daughter in a disgusting way . My daughter was just sitting there quietly. I was on the phone with my husband the whole time. I went back to my car and cried. I ended up going to David’s Bridal’s. Don’t waste your time here!

She even came in on her day off to let me come back and make my decision. Laurallee O'Bannon: The bridal salon is fine. Would not recommend their seamstresses. The lady I used for my wedding dress, took my dress in too much, the dress wouldn’t Button. When I asked her to fix it she was going to charge me to fix her mistake.

I feel the need to write a review this place was so fantastic I fell in love with the lady that helped me I don’t remember her name but she was so helpful and so friendly.
