Jamie Waechter: AutoBot refuses to waive the storage fees even for a 2 hour hold unlike MANY other tow companies. Also—Sunday at 3:15PM is considered after hours somehow… they put no way for you know what an after hour tow even is considering the website shows open 24 hrs. Even after speaking with them about it, there was no help offered and no explanation given.

Bethany Winkel: This company towed my car from a restaurant’s parking lot at which I was a customer in less than 2 hrs. Refused to give me my car because my father’s name is on the title. They’re making him miss work, drive 13 hrs to pick it up, and refuse to let him give verbal or written permission for them to release like all other tow companies in greater KC all so that they can make extra money. All staff I’ve spoken to has been rude and hateful. They are refusing to give me my work laptop out of my car so I am missing work. Sad to see a company stoop this low, but since this is the way they make money it makes sense that they are not accredited through the Better Business Bureau. I would suggest using a reputable company that works with their customers instead of inconveniencing them for the sake of profit.Service:Car towing

Jamie Rodriguez: These people towed my car when I was only parked at the parking lot in downtown for 4 minutes and then charged me $265 plus a $30 storing fee to get my car out when they only had it stored for about an hour, tried to talked to them to see what we can work out they showed no empathy and were rude from the start. Not to mention they told me they only accepted “cash only” that they didn’t accept card what kind of business in 2023 doesn’t accept card now in days???? and when I did go take them the cash they claimed that they didn’t have a register to make me change for a $20.They will take advantage of literary anyone The worst towing company I have ever experienced. Cody Cook: Do yourself a favor and read all their recent reviews first! This place is TERRIBLE and the recent reviews show that. I don’t know how this place was ever rated higher than one star. Went here to get my wife’s car and the whole place reeked of cigarette smoke and BO in the lobby. Not to mention how genuinely rude all the staff was, PLUS they only accept cash? I find it so strange that a business in 2023 only accepts cash and can’t process a card payment. Seems pretty sketchy, be a shame if someone reported them to the IRS…

Alex Hedtke: They towed my car after it was stolen then recovered. So far so good. I told them I could pick it up within an hour. They then told me they don't release "police tows" on the weekends, but of course they will happily charge me for all 3 days. I confirmed with Independence PD that there's nothing legally preventing them from releasing my car. I have filed a police report on Autobot towing. Cyerrah Minardi: I was driving on 291 when an Autobot Tow truck driver began to tailgate me. He then flew around me and cut me off, with rocks flying onto my windshield from his speed. He then began to do this two other times that I could see. Even doing this on the bridge over the Missouri River. This driver was going every bit of 80mph in a 55mph zone. When I called to speak with a manager to report a wreckless driver from his company, the manager told me "well I know that's a lie because those trucks are factory set to not go over 75mph. He was reporting to a Highway state patrol call so I told him to expedite it." Never did this manager apologize for his drivers actions and essentially called me a liar. He also implied that because it was for Highway state patrol, it was okay to drive TWENTY miles over the speed limit and wreckless at that. I wasn't the one in need of this company's service but I would never recommend a towing company who doesn't even have respect for other drivers on the road and allows their towing drivers to drive as if they're our law enforcement responding to a call. 0/10 recommend.

Colden: Wrongfully towed my truck in the river market after parking my truck in the river market for an hour. Demanded the towing bill be paid in cash at 11pm after they took it. Charged me for 2 days for keeping my truck when I came and picked it up at 10am the next morning so my truck was on their lot for maybe 12 hours at the most. $325 to tow my truck 15 minutes away in independence. Scammers.
Paul Osoro: They illegally towed my car. I parked downtown Delaware to get ice cream from Betty Rae's Ice Cream, paid for 1 hour parking from 5.49 to 6.49. I came out 6.20pm my car is gone. I called them and they wont reason with me at all, very unprofessional employees. I had to pay $205 to get my car back.

Garrett Miller: They didn't bother to mention they had 2 lots that they took cars to. Had us driving around town for an hour trying to find the right location.Cash only, no change. About as scummy as every other tow company.

Nicole Hosier: They quoted us the wrong price over the phone so when the guy showed up he was angry about it. My car had a back tire that wasn't moving and he was aware of this and proceeded to drag the fixed tire all the way to the shop. The shop was very angry about this as well. The person that showed up was rude and told us how sick he was and that he shouldn't have come to work today. I couldn't agree moren he shouldn't have worked that day.

I was in constant contact with them and they advised me of the price, etc... up front. They actually should have charged me more than what they did, however they were trying to be fair with me, which I appreciated very much. I will definitely use them in the future! My hero's!!! This company price gouges you and pushes you to tow using insurance so they can charge extra. $225 hookup fee, $150 special equipment fee (which none was needed, I watched the tow truck driver drive my car onto the flatbed) and then $5 a mile. They personally recommended a body shop which happened to be the furthest away body shop in town. They don't tell you the price, they send it in an email after services are done. Use Southland Tow. I had another vehicle towed this month and Southland only charged $165 for the same service. Do not use Hooker’s Towing.Service:Car towing

James Stone: I had a great experience with Impact towing. My wife got T-boned and Impact was quick to get the vehicle and took it to their tow lot. They were professional and supper friendly. The car was totaled and they delt with the insurance and helped me get it taken care of. I would definitely use them for all my towing. Even with a totaled vehicle they were careful and respectful of my property. True industry professionals and good folks. You never want to call a tow truck, but when you do call Impact and you will be thankful you did. Thanks guys!

Gotsom Bolk: Impact Towing and Recovery is one of the more legit, and reliable tow services in the Greater Metro. Its not your typical machine ran company. You can find compassion and understanding with this company. Dont get me wrong. Just like any company that puts their money into being a successful operation, they require a return on money coming in the door to stay open for business. The owner Josh, he has children and a family. A big family at that. I've never known this company to not work with a customer somehow, some way. No offense, but if they won't work with you, you must be a real piece of work. My advice to anybody looking for a genuine and legit tow service. Just Impact it! Or get ratchet! A.J.B.
Susan Franke: This Independence police used this tow service to tow a reported stolen vehicle Of mine. I was called by the police at 11:30 on a Tuesday night to come pick up my vehicle. Then they called me again at 11:45pm to tell me they had called a tow service. I called this place Wednesday morning and I was told that since it was after midnight when it came in Wednesday counted as day 1. Picked it up on Friday 2 days later and was charged an extra $60 because they said they had it longer than 3 days. 😳 Someone needs to teach these people how to count days. Called to complain and I was given the run around... I was told it was picked up 11pm. Funny I have the police voicemail saved that came in at 11:45pm and on the voicemail they say they will be calling a tow. Bad customer service all the way around.Service:Car towing

The problems started with they didn't contact us saying they were coming, bank told us since my son was giving car back we be contacted. This company never contacted us they just came took car with my sons belongings still in it. When I called to setup appointment to retrieve my son's belongs the woman I talked to was pleasant, my husband & son arrived at location and half way into parking lot they could smell marijuana my husband said there was 3-4 guys in the direction of the marijuana smell, they was smoking marijuana with no respect that our son was there. They go to a shed as a office a woman takes them to my son's car & immediately you can see someone had ransacked my son's car, glove compartment was open papers hanging, my son's bag was open items hanging out it was clear someone went throu my son's car. While my husband & son was collecting his belongs they kept hearing yelling, coming from other side of a Johhny on the spot, as they was going to leave & check out at the office they witnessed a black gentleman standing on the porch yelling at someone in the office, my husband said this man was loud, & unruly they decided not to check out & just exit the property. As they was walking across parking lot they witnessed 2 young men smoking marijuana in doorway of a big garage, the black gentleman continuing to yell & be unruly starts walking in the direction of the 2 Young men smoking marijuanaThere was no management, nosecurity in sight. my husband stated it was strange uncomfortable environment & nothing about this company was professional. My son went threw his belongs when he returned home an his wallet that was in his backpack is gone. we decided not to contact this tow company about missing wallet we instead contacted our bank who holds the note to my son's car who put me in contact with the company that hired this tow company. I filed a formal compliant on my son's wallet being stolen from his car & about the uncomfortable environment my husband & son witnessed & experienced while being on this property.If you don't have to deal with this company do not, its very unpleasant experience.Management, cooperate individuals of this company my son would like his wallet back that has $53 in it, & the environment you have is very unpleasant for families to enter.

Tricia G: I was recently in a car accident and they came upon the accident and stopped and helped. The driver was Matt. He was fantastic. He immediately offered to get my car out of the middle of the road and then stayed to make sure I was ok as well as the other party. He helped answer questions and was super friendly and knowledgeable. He offered to take me back to their lot and stay with me while I waited for a ride or even stay with me at the site of the accident. I felt like he went well above and beyond. Also quoted and honored most competitive quote among 3 or 4 firms I called, and with no game-playing. Other firms warned of extra charges if in the driver's opinion it was a difficult tow. (Say WHAT?)Alex, the driver, proved to be a chipper pro who made the whole experience almost enjoyable. He does maneuvers in reverse gear that I wouldn't attempt in forward gear. On a first pass, and with the precision of a robotic surgeon, he lifted the front end and swung the truck around to a position parallel to the curb. On a second, he hooked up for the haul, called in my card and was gone.In spite of my dread of needing a tow again I'd actually look forward to doing business with them again. (And no, I'm not losing my marbles!)Their integrity, service ethic and professionalism sets them apart from their competitors in a business notorious for price-gouging and opportunism, and I'm glad to know they're out there.Bill McDonald
Dani Gonzalez: If you are looking for the average towing experience this is not the place to go, but if you are looking for people that not only enjoy but take pride in the work this is the only place that comes to mind. No one ever wants to have to call a tow service but I have never had such a speedy and easy resolution to my car trouble. It absolutely sucked I needed my car towed due to a ball joint issue but the service provided almost made it worth it.

Cody Lane: The owner tried to steal my RZR. Told me I couldn't get it out of his lot without a title. Thing is they don't issue titles for UTV's in MO. I was able to get it out after getting the Independence police and highway patrol involved. It was illegally held racking up 3 days of "storage" and making it a very expensive tow. When I said we didn't have the amount they wanted, which was $2,300.00 from Feb 15th until Mar 22nd, an employee said he didn't want our wrecked car. When I said it wasn't wrecked the employee blew up at me, got in my face and it seemed like he was going to get physical. They are a company that preys on people in vulnerable positions and I bet they screw people out of their cars to auction, scrap or sell. I have stage IV colon cancer, my husband is a disabled vet and we have an 8 year old Corgi male that was also with us.
