Stewart Title Company: what do users think?
Mark Redding: I dealt with Suzanne at this location and I was impressed with her professionalism in the closing of my Independence, MO property., ESPECIALLY since I'm 1000 miles away. If she didn't have answers, she found them and actually called me back as promised....wow, who does that anymore? lolHighly recommended.
jamesb2685: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Value
Cliff Young: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueNo worries! I always know what is going to happen and when.
Mark Kane: Positive:Professionalism
Michael Hutton: Positive:Quality
Asheley Sisk: I have always thoroughly enjoyed everyone at Stewart Title. Peggy Mainard was the closing officer on one of my first transactions. A complicated four-plex with a low appraisal and who knows what other complications. Peggy was always every encouraging, helpful, friendly...she was a breath of fresh air. She goes above and beyond with everything that she does. I know that when I'm dealing with her, things will get done the right way with out hesitation!
Tammy Rivera: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
K M: Positive:Professionalism,ResponsivenessNo problems. They cleared the title quickly and were professional, communicative and responsive.
David Gershon: Working with Stewart Title was quick and easy. Very professional.
Michael: We closed on both our old and new properties with Beth Smith and she had us in and out in less than an hour. She did a great job of explaining everything to us and was very easy to work with throughout the process. If we did it over again, we’d still choose Stewart Title.
tim roehrick: Beth Smith was fantastic. She was quick and explained everything to us. I will use them again.

Kansas City Title: what do users think?
Dorothy Butterfield: Poor communication
Nash Pleasant: Do not work with them. They were supposed to hold my tax payment until my bank's escrow tax payment submitted prior to closing had posted and refund me the money they withheld at closing. They disregarded their agreement and went ahead and sent the tax money to the county leaving me to have to fight with big banks and tax collectors to try to get my money back. Go somewhere else. Poor attention to detail or blatant disregard for their clients.
Meri Boyer: We had to use Kansas City Title when we moved to Overland Park from out of state. We closed in June of 2018 and anyone who has bought a house knows how impossible it is to know exactly why you owe what you owe for closing. You basically have to trust the professionals. It’s now January 2023 and I just received a check in the mail from Kansas City Title for $490 that they neglected to return to us for “overage payment on closing costs.” I suppose I should be glad they were audited so I got my money back but I’m completely disgusted that they had almost $500 of mine for 4 1/2 YEARS. Completely incompetent and unprofessional.
Michael Haynes: I don't normally write reviews but I feel my experience needs to be stated. I had issues with KC Title trying to verify my identity through CertifID, for whatever reason it wouldn't work. So I had to go pick up a check which I would have to wait a week for the funds to be available. Bev McMillan from the Olathe office worked hard to resolve my issue. Bev did an awesome job and needs to be recognized. Thanks so much Bev.
Novella: It is absolutely impossible to get a hold of them! Incredibly frustrating considering they deal with home owners and are a barrier with getting information to lenders.
Keith Smith: Do not do your closing with this company. Mistakes and even when I tell them to correct the mistake, it is still there. Michelle will never return calls or communicate. She is the worst. I can not even get the Warranty Deed on the property I purchased. So how do I prove I own it? Days of calling and leaving messages with no return. Finally got a hold of Eldon and he promised he would get it taken care of. Still no call or results. RUN DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Stan Dotson: This was my second closing with KCT. Our escrow officer went above and beyond to complete our closing. All of our documents were prepared on time and accurate. We closed while out of town and everything went smoothly.
Ashley Hulme: I also wish I could give them 0 stars. This was our builder's preferred closer so we didn't have much choice. We've bought and sold before, in 2 other states. The closing was pushed back due to paperwork, we signed a contract 3 months prior and were thru underwriting early, but okay. The real issue is the paperwork at close was NOT correct. We found the mistake in final price and down payment at close. They should have checked they had the most up to date information. We had to start over, We've never had that happen before. We got a refund from them a week later, without explanation. Fees of some kind I assume. Still, we should not have to do the agent's job for them.
Doug Thomson: Oh my word, if you’re expecting professionalism, timeliness, or thorough preparation in a real estate closing, this is NOT your place. Here’s their bottom-line problem, they are a captive company who a major real estate broker “does all their closings with,” If you call their number, it rings to this major broker’s office. I guess if you get “all” of a broker’s business” you don’t have to worry about service. They try to run offices all over town, having employees run here and there, all to the detriment of whoever has the misfortune of working with them.Today, the day of closing, they had yet to look at the paperwork meaning we could not get our proceeds check today, as promised. This cost us money due to not having funds to pay off a loan. NOT ONCE did they apologize for their mistake. In fact, they said it was OUR FAULT for wanting to pick up our proceeds! They had many reasons they were completely blameless even though they had all the paperwork for days. At one point they laughed at our plight. Oh, and I was talking to the person in charge of the office, so don’t expect to get ‘better’ service from the boss!Stay away, far away, and you’ll have a much smoother transaction. I would have concerns even listing a home with this broker knowing I was required to use their captive closer.
Nick Bruhn: If I could give them 0 stars I would. I can't believe they are still in business. I can't believe how many locations they have too! The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was attempting to get ahold of them for a closing we had the next day and I tried calling and emailing them so many times that I decided to call their other locations to see if they could help. Guess what? I called seven, yes SEVEN, of their other locations without a single person answering. We had to push our closing back several days because of their failure to communicate even a little bit. If you are looking for a reliable Title company you need to keep looking!!
Shannon Donohoe: I’ve never left a negative review before. However, I feel compelled to do so since people willingly work with this company on the assumption that THEIR earnest money will be returned in a timely manner. This company should be reminded that at best, a little professionalism goes a long way. At worst, they shouldn’t give the impression that a client owes them for wanting a response in a timely and professional (or at least friendly and not disgruntled) manner. So unprofessional.
Amy Jacoby: Awsome title company

Stacy Bollin: Ripped me off never got paperwork would definitely not recommend
Steve s: nice people
Randy Clark: If I could give less then 1 star I would.I trusted this company to handle the closing of my house and found I had a lein on my home, it took me 4 months to finally get a federal judge to sign off on having the lein release signed and now that it's been signed no one seems to know where my escrow funds are or when I will get them. Never again will I be scammed by anyone.
