Ja Sh: Disappointed is the only way to describe my experience with this contractor. He drug out a job that should have taken about 3 to 4 days into literally 3 to 4 months! He was late, if he bothered to show up at all. He had a different guy with him almost every time, if he brought anyone at all. He cancelled more often than he showed up. It was a disaster. He's either completely unorganized or just plain dishonest.

luke stenner: Note:This is our 3rd attempt to leave a review. My wife left a review last Sunday that was removed. I left one yesterday that has been removed. I OWN THE COPYRIGHT FOR THE PHOTO BELOW and I just want others to be aware of this business's practices. Cody says that I am lying and am a customer that cant be pleased. We have 2 other contractors in our home that both have confirmed the bad work this company has done. We are guilty of not catching all of it as we are not professional tile layers.We hired Cody a few months back to install tile in a guest bathroom, a master bathroom and a front entry floor. Once we were in the middle of week 2 I felt that they were starting to rush. We had them tear out several sections of tile in the guest as they looked off ( Which Cody agreed and did happily.) Cody didn't use spacers in the entryway tile and had to tear all of that tile up as well. They used up extra tile that could have been returned to correct this issue. When it was finished the grout in the entry looked bad. He came back and fixed some of it. Finally we had gave the approval thinking we could just live with it. Currently grout is chipping and breaking out of the guest bathroom. The grout in the entry has scratch marks in it. I called Cody on a Sunday about this. He told me that he knew the guest bathroom looked bad, and that he lost a ton of money on this job. He told me that he underbid this job... he said a custom built shower like he did in our home should have cost at least 10k. I feel bad for them, but we purchased 90% the material and I didn't force him to quote this job at any price. I felt the price he quoted was fair especially if we paid for 90% of the material. He got rude and asked me what I want him to do about it? That's where we left the conversation. He did text me after to offer to come by and fix what he could. We will find another contractor perhaps somebody with a more experience to try and salvage what they can. Overall I think Cody is fairly new to his trade and business. Perhaps we should have paid top dollar for a more experienced company.

They were able to level it out before installing the tile. The walls are not perfectly square, so we had lots of discussion about the best way to lay the tile to minimize the issue. They were very professional, arrived when they said they would, cleaned up the area daily and did a great job installing the tile. Brian & Joy Wilhide: We hired Downright Tile to install new tile in our fireplace. Our old tile was pretty dull... we replaced it with Jinshan Coffee tile. Cody advised us as to the condition of the new tiles (some chipped, some cracked, etc.) and we were able to request a new batch before we start our bathroom tiling project. He was able to select some very nice tiles for the fireplace and it is quite beautiful now. As soon as we have our ducks in a row with the new tile we will be happy to bring Cody back to replace our bathroom tile.
