I asked for deep tissue and to her credit, the lady did deep tissue. But I was pretty sure she was trying to dismember me. Rough moving of all my limbs. She rolled my arm over and almost choked me with it. She was very sweet and I could've spoken up but I let her do her thing. I'm going to stick with my regular lady at serenity massage tho. Front staff was nice. My boyfriends masseuse was attentive but kind of average on delivery- didn't get deep enough. All in all it was okay but not an exceptional experience

The hulk: Massage was ok not bad not good but ok that only thing is it wasn't in hr it was more like 40m i was there by 2:15 my Apt was at 2:30 The call my name by 2:58 by 3:40 i was out the door unfortunately i will never go back nor recommend this place i agree the stuff is friendly but that's not what i was looking for i was looking forward to getting a very needed massage

Jamie Mommsen: This place was amazing until I had a stroke. Then they tell me they can't see me till I am clear by the doctor which is fine except when i get cleared they wont let me. I lost everything in my life because of the stroke including my job and could no longer afford my membership there. I have 2 monthly credits left to use and they won't let me use them unless I pay more money. Even though I lost everything to my stroke. They won't make any kind of exception either.

So rescheduled.. confirmed appoint yesterday and get a phone call today just a few hours before they have to cancel yet again. Very unprofessional and will not be back!!!!

Carly alexander: I got a “60 min” prenatal massage on Monday. She got me at 12:00, explained the massage and I undressed. She started massaging around 12:10. And was done at 12:55.the massage was not 60 mins. It was okay although she didn’t reeally rub me. She just pulled my skin up lol. I wanted some moving of her fingers and pinching. It stayed the same the whole time and was quite boring just constantly moving her hands up my skin. Pretty sure her name was Nicole. She was nice tho. But I wouldn’t get one again from her.

William Spier: The best massage therapists cannot make up for unsociable and deceitful management. So this review is NOT about the therapists. All the therapists I've had at MH Independence - Josh, Rachel and Rachel are super knowledgeable and professional - all FIVE star.However, watch out who you deal with at Independence front office. Becky and Jen, both lied to me, and Jen even tried stealing my credits. Back in Mar/Apr I had to cancel my EFT and membership bc lost job in the pandemic, so when I came in to use up the first of my remaining, prepaid sessions, I asked (I think Jen, but I cannot recall who) how many hours I had left. She gave me the number, and added unsolicited, that I don't need to worry about those hours expiring bc she set them to not expire. That was very thoughtful and I appreciated it very much.On my next visit, I asked Becky, who is has as much interpersonal skill as a bollard, my balance now, and she told me, adding I had to use them by Aug 31st before I lose them. I told her last time they had set them to not expire. Instead of addressing the issue, Becky just repeated herself. So I repeated myself, clarifying I understand what she said, but what she said DOES NOT MATCH what I was told last time. Why is there a discrepancy - did someone remove the non-expire setting? To my shock, Becky just repeated a third time that the hours are set to expire.So I said we are not communicating here - is that the manager's office? I'll talk with her about it. Becky said she would talk to her about it, so she went in, came out and said the manager's working on it. So I went to the bathroom, came back a minute later and dutiful Becky informed me Jen (the manager) would email me about it. I said I am here and don't want to resolve over email. Becky just repeated Jen was busy. So I said really - too busy to talk to a client? Okay, I'll just sit in the waiting room until she's not busy to talk to a client. So after Becky's awkward stare, she said I'll check and see if she's available. Well, surprise, surprise!! 30 seconds later Jen was magically available!! I guess whatever she was "busy" with must have wrapped up just in time for me to talk with her. Some coincidence.When I explained directly to Jen that I was being told two different things about expiring hours, to my shock she too disregarded my question - deflecting with the most obtuse response - "Well you can use them up as you need because you're reinstating your membership, right?" I asked how she presumed I'm re-enrolling when I've given no such indication, and am unemployed meaning so doing would be impossible? So I repeated the communication discrepancy question again with her, and she said she did not know who'd tell me my prepaid hours would not expire. She asked if I could use up my three remaining hours by the end of August, which I could, so we scheduled them.On my way out the door after my third and final visit last week, a young lady named Holly asked when I would like to schedule my last hour. I told her I just used up the last of the three hours Jen had scheduled for me. She indicated there was still another hour on my account. I asked how long I had to use it, and she said not to worry about it, I could schedule it whenever I needed. So I asked her her name (in case someone else again tells me differently), and told her I would go home, check my schedule, and call back because I was unaware of this. Simply put, it means Jen lied to me abut how many hours I truly had left when I confirmed the three hours we scheduled that day, would exhaust my credits.So again... Josh, Rachel, Rachel and Holly I know from working with them are top shelf - these folks would make Massage Heights realize its full potential were it not for the front office, namely Jen's and Becky's penchants for prevaricating and lying, ruining everyone else's hard work.I asked for the franchise owner's contact info., a Ms. Brady? and was told I could not have that info. So I called corp. and got VM. So no options left other than to share publicly here. Sorry Ms. Brady.

The front desk lady is very sweet, she attempted to rectify the situation by asking another provider sitting there to complete the service she didn’t respond, so she called the original provider I booked with for an eta, she was too far away resulting in a cancellation and refund.

She proceeded to texting during my whole entire session as well as answered a call. Hearing the clicking an clacking of texting during something that’s suppose to be “relaxing” was absolutely cringe! Nothing was ever switched up to actually relax me. I should have spoke on how I felt but that’s what we have reviews for.

Free hot stones added to my massage.Cons: I booked 90 mins online and received confirmation, but when I got there they said they could only do 60 minutes. They added free hot stones to make up for it. The massage was okay, but it didn't address any of my problems areas so I left feeling exactly the same. The lady doing my massage had to take a phone call during the massage as well as answer the door. She didn't close the door all the way when she left the room for various reasons. It felt like she was gone for long periods of time sometimes. Also, the massage was not 60 minutes, it was about 55, including the times she left the room.I was very disappointed with the whole experience. I get massages every month or so due to chronic pain, this place is closer to me but not worth it.
