Lynn Stewart: We had a Bachelorette party here (ate in costume before going to the real party). The service for a large party was great. The musicians serenaded the Bride to be and even took pics with us. The staff handled our craziness very well, the manager came by and offered her blessing too. The other diners were smiling and laughing as we all came in too. Everyone was fantastic. Oh, the food was great. The view of the lake out the window added to the fun and was beautiful to see. Amanda May: Came in here Friday 6/2. Just a bad experience all around. The drink I ordered took around 20 minutes to be made and brought to my table and the restaurant was dead so it’s not like they were busy. Ordered some chips and an order of queso as an appetizer, well my mom and I’s entrees came out BEFORE we even received our chips and queso. The tortilla on my fish taco was ice cold. Never had such an awful experience here before and I’ve came to eat at this location more than a handful of times. The cherry on top of the sh*tty experience sundae? They have now charged my card three times for this transaction. :-) Definitely do NOT recommend coming here.

We were seated at a tiny table in the bar area even though they were not busy at all, and there were plenty of bigger tables in the main area. The food was acceptable, but also not the way I remember. I may try again, but based on how few people were there on a Saturday evening, I fear they may be closed down in the near future.

He kept letting us know that he was only server on that side and t hey gave him 4 tables close together. He was overwhelmed. Other people working not helping out. Took long time to get drinks. Long time to order food and get it. Food was not good . Cool temperature they forgot things with one of our orders. When we asked for things they never were brought back. Just didnt taste good. We will not be back. Poor food Poor service.

Linda Krewson: Wanted to eat there but after standing at the hostess desk behind a couple that was already there unacknowledged for over 10 minutes, we left. That was a preview to the poor service we probably would have had. And there were so few tables in use that if nothing else a waitress should have stepped up to help out. Independence location is a train wreck.

Glenn A: First bite I could taste the salsa was bad. Like rotten, spoiled, contaminated bad. We asked for fresh and it came tasting just as foul. The food was hot, fresh, well-presented and delicious. The atmosphere was bright and colorful, the restaurant was clean. The only small negative I have is that the music was too loud, I believe it should have been lower so people could converse, maybe more like background music would have been better. This Mexican restaurant is one of our favorites.Kid-friendliness: My 2 year old grandson went with us, high chairs were available. His dad ordered him a soft chicken taco.Parking: There are lots of parking spaces near the restaurant front door.Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap parking spaces available near the front door. The curb has a ramp. As someone who uses a cane I was able to easily get from the parking lot to the door without any obstacles.

Randy Eidson: I ordered through DoorDash and got The Mexican Burrito. It was loaded with Steak chunks! It also had fresh cilantro and onion. The flavor was great, covered in half red sauce half cheese sauce. This meal came with rice and beans, I was really impressed with the beans! My girlfriend got the Chicken Fajita Chimichanga, it was huge! Every bit as big as my burrito. The salsa was the best I have had in this area, fresh and flavorful.

Brandy Cornwell: Dined in outside on patio first time in years!!! Managers pay attention...ALLISON (can not say this enough) ALLISON, was FANTASTIC!!! She was the BEST server weve ever met, she was above and beyond a respectful, kind, fast and observant server! She recognized our needs, offered not only a courteous and respectful service with an honest smile and enthusiasm but, man was she on top of things! From start to finish, ALLISON made our first outside dining experience since the pandemic started the best it could have been! When you have employees like ALLISON, that go above and beyond for your customers, it makes for a wonderful dining experience and memory!!! Food was magnificent, both hot and yummy large portions, great fresh tasting food! Chips are Awesome, and there salsa is super! Only downside was the doors, they are a bit hard for wheelchairs to push open! And the metal chairs outside make a very loud grind when moved under table, maybe a little padded slider under bottom of chair leg is a good idea , lol!! Way to go Salty iguana! You are a hidden gem, rare and beautiful thanks to a great staff like ALLISON, and the cooks working yesterday afternoon.Kid-friendliness: Offered kid friendly options like chicken strips and fries!@@Wheelchair accessibility: Was wheelchair accessible outside on the patio, the door was a bit hard to open ,but wss large enough for a good size chair to fit through.
