Kimberly Patrick: The tanning beds are pretty good I will say they did not mention the student discount so I was charged way more.....30% more to be exact that I didn't have to pay because I'm a student The girl that sold me My month package did not mention this and when I was told there was a student discount they were like there's nothing we can do except the next tanning package you get can have the discount on it Even though with the fact that my last week of my tanning package I won't be able to tan since I'll be in Mexico I should at least be prorated for the week that I'm not going to be able to use and or give me my discount... Also you can find way better beds for way better prices if you shop around I will suggest Koppa-KA-tana The owner there literally opened his shop up for me on Christmas Eve gave me free lotion cuz I forgot mine and the level 2 tanning bed I went in did a better job with just 110 then four tans at Coconut Beach and their level four package is $70 a month but I paid $80 for level two package at Coconut Beach It's not rocket science You're paying for the name brand If you live in Independence especially close to Englewood That's where I would go and that's where I'm going for the rest of my tanning experience at least while in Missouri

Not only did he come back to do this is for me but he did it with a smile and a kind conversation!! And talk about the tan!!! I used one of their level three beds and It tanned me as dark as five of my level 2 sessions at Coconut Beach Tan!!! THIS place is honest and they won't overcharge you ridiculous money for tanning here!!! Alexis Liggett: If I could give 0 stars I would. I had never been here before and went into the salon to ask some information about their pricing. I stood there for a good 10 minutes while the employee behind the counter continued talking on her cell phone about what she was doing that night. Another employee came in for their shift change and asked if I had been helped. When I attempted to ask my few questions I was continuously interrupted by rude and short remarks. I have previously worked in a tanning salon and know what customer service is and what to expect. I was very disappointed. I will NOT be back.

Josh Hastings: Went in to use the rest of my minutes I had as explained by one of the sales reps that I could do. I was told that I did not have that option when I went in today and that I was out of luck because I was quoted misinformation. I bought 12 minutes and only used 6 my first visit because I wanted to save the rest for next visit. I asked to speak with someone else and the sales rep told me she was the owner's daughter. I said that I would be going elsewhere and she did not try to stop me. As difficult of an industry as this is you would think customer service would be a priority.

S M: I made an appointment for semi-gloss application.I was quoted $40-60 on the phone, which is average and what I’ve usually paid across New England Salons -New York- Philly-Boston-as I travel quiet a bit. But upon sitting down with the stylist I was re-quoted $160-200 citing “a lot of hair” needing 2 or 3 tube “applications.” I was not advised $40-60 is equivalent to “one” tube application. This should be reflected in their price range quote, rather than doubled or tripled after a client arrives to the appointment. Furthermore, the application of semi-gloss is minimally technical. $200-300 is what I would normally pay for when I get permanent all over hair color. Very disappointed their price quotes do not reflect a true range. Blaming the customer is not a professional or competent approach, lacking tranceprancy to pricing their services, and very inconvenient.

Not everyone is going to have a good experience and that's ok, but just admit it and not try to turn your customer into a non existent matter and just let them go on that note. Acknowledge their experience and learn from it. That's what will set you apart as a good business. I did not have this experience here. He did so because i am no doubt not the only person who was misinformed or just simply put, ripped off.my first interaction.hapoened via telephone. This did not go well and I should have known by that interaction it wasn't going to get any better I inquired about the one month free and new client special. The person on the line told me there was no such special as she repeated " a free month , uh, yeah , I don't of any such special.". "where did you receive that promotion?". I explained to her that it was on the internet ,. Their website in fact. I heard someone say " yes we do have that special,. They pay for the first month and the next month is free. Then the girl tells me she needs to place me on hold. The manager picks up the phone apologized and roughly goes over pricing upgrades extra. I asked if appointments were recommended and I was told " no we do by walk in only.". I thought great . With the body wrap nd the heat treatment for face these services would be by appointment. The manager was short and seem annoyed to answer my questions. I felt brushed off and unimportant. I decided to go in and buy a package was told I couldn't because they needed a card on file even if I wanted to pay cash. I explained that I had no cards I was going thru identity theft recently and everything was closed and any cards I had were no longer activate I brought was cash. I was told to get a card andif I didn't have one they couldn't take me on as a member without something on file. I left there defeated and embarrassed. There were other people in the lobby I come back with the card and they proceed to tell me about the one time fee to sign up. Disturbing but yes I returned. Lol shouldn't have ...they ended up needing appointments for services wrap and told me next time to b call way in advanced to schedule and if I cancel to do so well B4 schedule appointment. I felt talk down to and small. I got the best package and I was to have a month free and my month was cut one wk short and they never honored the free month saying no that I paid over 1oo bux for 3 wks of tanning and that my card was declined and I had a certain amount of time to settle or they delete the account And and if I wanted do membership again I would need to pay the one time fee. Told the girl signing up that the card was only to be on file so I could join . They charged the card three times before the month was up didn't get treated well I wasn't informed well and I didn't get the services I paid for. This place has great beds and the wrap and heat facial nice options but in truth the staff didn't know their a** from a hole in the ground. I don't even think I saw the same girl tewice. I have so much more I could rant about but . But this review is already lengthy in short my experience was horrible not once or twice but almost each time I interacted with them . I don't recommend if your looking for if you want any quality of service this is not your plac

She clearly didn’t want my business and she shouldn’t be in the customer service field. Based on other ratings, I believe they only want business from light skinned customers. Rio Michelle: I wish I could do a zero star rating! My first airbrush experience wth a young lady was good. She was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My second was with a man (I was NOT ASKED IF THAT WAS OK) and he was rude as hell. I was already uncomfortable and he made it much worse. He was in a rush and seemed bothered by the fact that he had to do his job. I got very dizzy, the room started spinning and when I told him, he acted annoyed. When we were done, he left the room without making sure I was ok. He never checked on me. I was barely able to walk out and drive home. I felt embarrassed, exposed, completely defeated.The tan washed off the next day, so I went through that for NOTHING!Never again. Never.

For the price you pay to tan you would expect to actually get some color when you go.I purchased a one month membership and was never shown how to operate any of the equipment. And no, you don't just pull the top down anymore to start tanning.In addition, not once, but twice when I went in the bed had NOT been cleaned. Sorry, but DISGUSTING and with that they've lost my business.Again, don't waste your money.

Galaxy Princess: I went in to see about tanning packages as I was considering switching to something closer to home. I was not really offered any packaging prices at all. I was just told what level I was at years ago when I went to this salon and advised of if I bought a package I would get 2 weeks free but still wasnt given any pricing and told 30% off all bottled lotions. I could see a board with pricing and I saw a VIP pricing but I guess from my appearance I was not worthy of VIP pricing. So completely frustrated with the lack of service I simply told the girl I would go back to Celcius and simply got an ok have a nice day = 1 star
