Phil Dixon: On April 17th, I received a letter from the post office stating that my enclosed item was either found loose in the mail or damaged during handling by the Postal Service. Fortunately, I had kept my receipt from the 14200 E. 32nd st Location in Independence, MO. On April 28th, I went to the Truman branch and requested to resend my document that had been returned due to the damage. However, Jeff, the supervisor, not only refused to assist me but also showed disrespect by leaving in the middle of our conversation. Despite my efforts to obtain information on who he reported to, he refused to disclose any details. I am grateful to Teresa, an employee who overheard Jeff's disrespectful behavior and stepped in to help me. Overall, Jeff was willing to be confrontational and condescending over a $5.00 matter. Therefore, I strongly believe that Jeff should be fired immediately, and I appreciate Teresa's assistance during this ordeal. I would appreciate hearing back from Jeff's manager. Thank you

Mary Ann White: Yes this office is busy and the parking can be challenging. With that being said - the staff here is top notch. Today wasn't my first visit here - but my interaction with the clerk Fred at the office was so pleasant and he was kind/funny. Everyone has a positive attitude and that's what really counts.

Maxwell Krem: For starters, the front desk service is great. I have always found the staff personable and helpful, and they don’t give me any grief about helping with taping or stapling packages. The shipping materials they have are reasonably priced.Downsides: parking is pretty limited, and many people have to park on the street. There is almost always a line. Worst: the place is locked up at night if you want to buy stamps or use the automated postal machine.

The folder it came in said do not fold the delivery person folded it into my mailbox and creased it Destroying it. Ashley Cox: im thoroughly disappointed in the mail service, not the front desk but the delivery of products. they are specifically marked as fragile when sent out, but then arrive broken. 2 items out of 5 so far. waiting for the others to be delivered.
Becky Robinson Bates: I've never had a problem with those working the desk, but I have had consistent problems with the mail carriers. I get Informed Delivery, so I know what should be showing up in my mailbox every day. More often than not, I am receiving time sensitive documents that should be delivered to my neighbors or not getting my mail at all. It incredibly frustrating to have to mark my mail as undelivered though Informed Delivery multiple times a month.

Elizabeth Hopkins: Go to this post office if you can - hands down one of the friendliest and most efficient ones I’ve encountered. These incredibly kind and collected people do it so well! More ups: it’s in a cool downtown spot with ample parking.

Jennifer Sperry: I'm fairly new to the Independence area and post office (6 months). I really don't have any complaints or issues with the post office except I really wish I would have looked at the extremely small boxes for my personal mail and I would of opted for a larger one. Due to the arthritis in my hands as I grow older in this wonderful life, it is hard for me to get my mail out if there happens to be a piece that is 5" x 7". Not her fault I should have looked at them personally, she was just trying to keep my cost down, which I appreciate. I have had packages delivered to my daughters home (which is my physical address on file in Independence) and it stated delivered when it was not. It would show up 1-2 days later. I also received a package which was jewelry, a ring, and it was obviously opened and taken out of the package. Why they delivered an empty package is beyond me, it just gave me proof of it being tore open. This was also delivered to my daughters address. So I keep everything delivered to my post office box from now on. That way if it is received by them tore open, or other concerns it would have to be documented by their staff. Otherwise when I receive it and there's a problem i go directly to the counter and talk with them and file any necessary reports and/or forms I need to, in order to protect my mail. So I would say there needs to be an investigation into the mail delivery persons and their procedures. Also anyone with cameras on their mailboxes and so forth, use this evidence to get some kind of justice for packages reported as delivered and in fact were not. If you have it on camera then that's theft in a bad way and cannot be denied. Make sure your camera is time and date stamped. We have to protect ourselves no one else is going to do it for us, sorry, but that's life. If a mail carrier is in fact stealing packages and other shenanigans, they should be reported and prosecuted just like any other individual who participates in illegal activity on or off work. Yo mama: I have lived in zip code 64050 for less than 2 months. In that time I have had MULTIPLE packages either delivered to another address, or they have left the key to the parcel box in someone else's mailbox. Thankfully most everyone around here is honest. When I took a package I received the key to the parcel box for and took it down to my neighbors, they ended up having 4 packages of mine! This is simply unacceptable! It doesn't matter where I have lived it doesn't do any good to file a complaint with USPS.
Terri Shoop: I'm always getting other people's mail delivered to my address and I've tried so many times to get them to take it back and deliver it to the correct address and time and time again, it comes right back to me. They want to put up this 1800 number so you can't reach a real person to help you so you find yourself delivering the mail you received to the rightful owner yourself! This post office holds Noone accountable as this continues to happen time after time and it's frustrating to say the least. There's obviously no quality control or continuous improvement at this location. If you are looking to move to this area, look out! You may not get your mail or your mail may end up some place else.
Nicolette Cromley: My mail carrier, Dakota, had gone above and beyond to be sure my pkgs were hand delivered at my request. I live in an apartment building that doesn't have a secured location to leave pkgs. I put a note on my mailbox requesting that my doorbell be rang so I can meet them at door to receive my packages. One day he rang bell and I didn't hear it, my pkgs showed as being delivered I was worried, come Monday morning Dakota had everything that showed as delivered as well as the pkgs for that days delivery I was so thrilled he did an exceptional job and continues to fulfill the qualities of an exceptional mail carrier!!!

Kyle Gebhart: The best "post office" in town. Great hours (open until 9 pm).Hy-Vee employees are knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
Angie Peterson: This is NOT a Post Office. It is a Hy-Vee customer service desk that accepts packages.
Maxwell Krem: What’s great about this location is that it is open until 8:30 PM most days. I found that the ladies behind the counter were very pleasant and did their best, but the range of services is not the same as you would have at a regular post office, and sometimes it took a new trainee longer to figure out how to do something. I’ve been able to send priority mail envelopes and other registered mail without difficulty, though. I would probably go to the regular post office for anything more complex than that.

Buddy Mayfield (Fish Buddy): Mail carriers don't check my mail for outgoing mail if they aren't delivering anything. It has caused my rent checks to go late or destroyed by rain leaving the envelope hanging out so it can be seen there is outgoing mail. Now when attempting to deliver a package it went on the wrong truck and are unwilling to help find it making it go late with live fish that will probably die now.
