Patrick Boatner: Cedar Built is an owner-operated shed builder, which is really a breath of fresh air after talking with other companies that just point and click on a website. Gary was pulling out his calculator and thinking about the cost of 2x4s when I asked about modifying our shed. He worked with every customization I could ask for, because they build the shed. Their prices are competitive, and the construction was generally very good.I'd be happy to do business with them again, but I'd make sure to get the specs drawn up in advance. In a few areas, it looks like they cut some corners to get things done faster. Some of the interior stud walls they added for us (a nice customization) had joints that other contractors scoffed at. The deck they built on our cabin wasn't built to code in a few ways (missing joist hangers, joists that weren't thick enough). I would suggest customers do some basic reading about building codes and ask for detailed specs, study their floor model, etc. if you're interested in getting something built to really last.I really think they're an honest company, they're just taking small shortcuts and passing some savings on to you. Any time there was a mishap, they made it right. They showed a great deal of care for my property. They also offered me lots of helpful tips for finishing the rest of my project, like where to caulk.

G Garcia: I contracted Tuff Shed through the Home Depot. Contract was made on 01/05/2022, permit received 05/02/2022, built on 10/30/2022, completed 11/15/2022. I would not recommend them, these past 11 months have been a disaster.I was originally told my 24x30 garage would be far away enough from a power line. I contracted someone to come out and dig footings and install the rebar. Before the pour, I contacted Tuff Shed and told them the pad just seemed too close to the power line.... It sure was.I then contracted someone to come and move my power cable underground... Another expense later... I was finally ready to pour.I would definitely recommend shopping other companies and saving yourself TIME and MONEY. The quality for what you are paying is just not there. Lack of communication, no rush, nothing... Just stress. I could have saved THOUSANDS if they would have simply told me that the original location wouldn't work.They came back on 12/06/2022, due to a leak. They still didn't show up on time.The only ray of hope that they have now is Jerry, he did make the last few months better and is the new manager.If I had a time machine to fix 1 thing in my past, it would be hiring this company.

The installation crew did a great job. The shed is just what I need and the entire process was completed in about 5 weeks. The research I did makes me think it would have cost me more to purchase the materials for a shed I would build compared to having a completed shed delivered and assembled by Tuff Shed. The metal floor support is awesome. The doors are very high quality.
