Both other companies acted like car salesman. Pushy! Telling me deal was only for today $50, other company replied “ I’m not understanding ? Why do you need to call around ? I’m giving you a deal here”, that deal again was $50 plus very pushy salesman. Then I called Scharig Alarm Kevin. He was pleasant , not trying to sale me and explained his system in detail and gave me options and price and came across honest. Later I googled his company reviews and was impressed then he came out and did a great job and it’s less than you know who and we are happy. I have a phone app and very nice screen and a louder alarm sound and happy I called.

I mentioned to Kevin that we were going to be gone for a couple of weeks and really wanted to get the alarm system installed ASAP. ryan renken: I was looking for a security system for my house and did not know where to look. I called the big guys first (ADT) because they were the house hold name. I found out their monthly bill was very high and they wanted to add all of these special features in which I did not ask for. So I Googled alarm systems and came a crossed Scharig. I called them and was able to speak to Kevin who is the owner. He was very upfront with me and asked me what I was looking for and was able to give all I wanted and a little bit more all for a low monthly rate and told me my different options I had. In my opinion they are just as good as the big guys. It took me a week to decide in which Kevin was very patient with me and did not try to pressure me into a sale. I would recommend Scharig to family and friends.

KierstiAnn Brinsfield: Two salesmen came to our door between 7:30 and 8:00 earlier this week and offered us a full system for free for being a corner lot. When we asked about a monthly fee (because we knew there was a catch) neither of them would give us even a ballpark figure. One of them was in training and just kind of observing. (He was not an issue at all. Just observing his coworker.) but the main guy changed the subject to our current system and proceeded to try entering our home without permission. My husband blocked his way and told them to leave. He still persisted and we had to shut the door to get them to leave.

Alexia Page: Worst company ever!! my stuff is broken into and I called Vivint and they want to make every excuse on why my cameras didn’t catch anything want to say well maybe your cameras are off-line. They were an off-line the second I went outside and caught every every second. They only want your money, in order to cancel you got to pay money they want to troubleshoot and not help you. Worst company ever if Vivint ever tries to come and sell you a security system run don’t do it they just want your money they do not care about the safety of you or your family, their security systems don’t catch any type of breaking multiple false alarms. Awful service.

Mallory Bryan: I am moving, so I had a technician come out to my old house to remove my security system. They took my Vivint thermostat off and put the old one back on. He didn't re-wire anything, so our air conditioner didn't work when he left. I texted him and told him, and he said to have an HVAC person come and fix it, and Vivint would refund me. I did that, the HVAC guy said "Wow, he just slapped the thermostat back on and didn't bother to re-wire anything." It cost $160 for the HVAC guy to set everything up correctly.I called Vivint and said their technician said they would reimburse me. After a 40-minute conversation and getting put on hold over 8 times, they offered me $20 off my next bill. I didn't really care for the fact the technician lied to me and also that Vivint wouldn't honor what their technician said.

L R: Who comes up to a house at 8:00pm? Telemarketers don't even call that late. And who makes assumptions saying "I've tried to get your wife's attention on her walks in the neighborhood but she always has her headphones in?" Basic courtesy indicates that if someone has their headphones in, they don't want to be bothered. That's one of the first lessons about not bothering people. Also, what CREEP is like 'hey I've been watching the girl that comes in and out of this house' who is now inside and who I now know is watching my residence and now knows where we keep the car/house keys and high dollar items in proximity to the door. If ya'll knock two days in a row and nobody answers, its because they don't want to talk to you. Please don't knock a third time 3Edit: the number below goes to their customer service line for regular customers. The first thing it asks for is your phone number, then a menu of items (questions about your system, questions about your tech, buy a system). TL; DR: a robo response and a waste of time. Single star still stands.

Chelsea Thompson: DO NOT GET VININT!! Our cameras don't, locks don't work, and alerting the police does not work! They give you three days to cancel but when you go to cancel they will not do it. They didn't install system in one day and cheated us out of our trail very unhappy! This company is a scam!! Watch out!!

Roy Sparks: I had rep here and I liked what he had to offer. Told him I have adt and need to cancel 30 day notice. He said just stop payment. Really. And it was 40 dollars higher.

Megan Little: I just had a salesperson come to my door in the middle of the workday, ringing the doorbell multiple times and knocking. Since my husband and I both work from home, it is quite disruptive to our day/ meetings, which is why we have a NO SOLICITING sign. When we pointed it out the man said he was not trying to sell anything (insert eye roll). My husband said we were not interested and began to close the door and he kept talking. The next time it happens I will be calling the police. I just got off the phone with them and confirmed that it is illegal for them to come up to your door for anything when you have a sign.
